ٱلْكَهْفِ
(of) the cave

وَٱلرَّقِيمِ
and the inscription

أَوَى
retreated

ٱلْفِتْيَةُ
the youths

ءَاتِنَا
Grant us

وَهَيِّئْ
and facilitate

فَضَرَبْنَا
So We cast

عَدَدًا
a number.

بَعَثْنَٰهُمْ
We raised them up

ٱلْحِزْبَيْنِ
(of) the two parties
×1
أَحْصَىٰ
best calculated

نَقُصُّ
narrate

نَبَأَهُم
their story
×1
فِتْيَةٌ
youths
×1
وَزِدْنَٰهُمْ
and We increased them
×1
وَرَبَطْنَا
And We made firm

قَامُوا۟
they stood up
×16
إِلَٰهًا
any god.

شَطَطًا
an enormity.

قَوْمُنَا
our people,
×8
بِسُلْطَٰنٍۭ
with an authority
×1
ٱعْتَزَلْتُمُوهُمْ
you withdraw from them
×1
فَأْوُۥٓا۟
then retreat
×1
يَنشُرْ
Will spread
×1
وَيُهَيِّئْ
and will facilitate
×4
أَمْرِكُم
your affair
×1
مِّرْفَقًا
(in) ease."

طَلَعَت
it rose,
×1
تَّزَٰوَرُ
inclining away
×2
كَهْفِهِمْ
their cave
×1
غَرَبَت
it set,
×1
تَّقْرِضُهُمْ
passing away from them
×1
فَجْوَةٍ
the open space
×2
ٱلْمُهْتَدِ
(is) the guided one,
×1
مُّرْشِدًا
a guide.
×1
وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ
And you (would) think them
×1
أَيْقَاظًا
awake
×1
رُقُودٌ
(were) asleep.
×1
وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ
And We turned them
×1
وَذَاتَ
and to
×1
وَكَلْبُهُم
while their dog
×2
بَٰسِطٌ
stretched
×1
ذِرَاعَيْهِ
his two forelegs
×1
بِٱلْوَصِيدِ
at the entrance.
