وَبَلَوْنَٰهُم
And We tested them
×1
بِٱلْحَسَنَٰتِ
with the good
×1
وَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ
and the bad,
×1
وَرِثُوا۟
(who) inherited
×1
يَأْخُذُونَ
taking
×1
سَيُغْفَرُ
"It will be forgiven
×1
يَأْخُذُوهُ
they will take it.
×1
وَدَرَسُوا۟
while they studied
×1
يُمَسِّكُونَ
hold fast
×1
نَتَقْنَا
We raised
×1
ظُلَّةٌ
a canopy
×19
تَتَّقُونَ
fear Allah."
×1
وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ
and made them testify
×1
أَلَسْتُ
"Am I not
×16
وَكُنَّا
and we are
×1
أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا
So will You destroy us
×3
وَلَعَلَّهُمْ
so that they may
×5
ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ
We gave [him]
×1
فَٱنسَلَخَ
but he detached
×1
فَأَتْبَعَهُ
so followed him
×5
شِئْنَا
We willed
×1
لَرَفَعْنَٰهُ
surely, We (could) have raised him
×1
وَلَٰكِنَّهُۥٓ
[and] but he
×1
أَخْلَدَ
adhered
×2
فَمَثَلُهُۥ
So his example
×13
كَمَثَلِ
(is) like (the) example
×1
ٱلْكَلْبِ
(of) the dog,
×6
تَحْمِلْ
you attack
×2
يَلْهَثْ
he lolls out his tongue
×1
تَتْرُكْهُ
if you leave him,
×1
فَٱقْصُصِ
So relate
×10
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
reflect.
×1
ٱلْمُهْتَدِى
(is) the guided one
×1
ذَرَأْنَا
We have created
×2
كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ
(are) like cattle,
×1
أَسْمَٰٓئِهِۦ
His names.
×2
سَيُجْزَوْنَ
They will be recompensed
×5
وَمِمَّنْ
And of (those) whom
×4
يَهْدُونَ
who guides
×2
سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم
We will gradually lead them
×3
وَأُمْلِى
And I will give respite
×2
كَيْدِى
My plan
×1
بِصَاحِبِهِم
in their companion
×2
ٱقْتَرَبَ
come near -
×1
هَادِىَ
guide
×1
وَيَذَرُهُمْ
And He leaves them
×7
يَعْمَهُونَ
wandering blindly.
×2
مُرْسَىٰهَا
its appointed time?
