دَعْوَىٰهُمْ
their plea

ظَٰلِمِينَ
wrongdoers."

فَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ
Then surely We will question
×1
وَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ
and surely We will question
×1
فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ
Then surely We will narrate
×1
غَآئِبِينَ
absent.
×1
وَٱلْوَزْنُ
And the weighing
×6
مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
his scales,
×2
مَكَّنَّٰكُمْ
We established you
×1
صَوَّرْنَٰكُمْ
We fashioned you.
×5
لِءَادَمَ
to Adam,"
×5
فَسَجَدُوٓا۟
So they prostrated,
×1
أَمَرْتُكَ
I commanded you?"
×2
وَخَلَقْتَهُۥ
and You created him
×1
فَٱهْبِطْ
"Then go down
×1
تَتَكَبَّرَ
you be arrogant
×2
ٱلصَّٰغِرِينَ
the disgraced ones."
×1
أَنظِرْنِىٓ
"Give me respite
×3
ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ
the ones given respite."
×1
لَأَقْعُدَنَّ
surely I will sit
×1
صِرَٰطَكَ
(on) Your path,
×1
شَمَآئِلِهِمْ
their left,
×1
شَٰكِرِينَ
grateful."
×1
مَذْءُومًا
disgraced
×1
وَيَٰٓـَٔادَمُ
And O Adam!
×2
فَكُلَا
and you both eat
×2
تَقْرَبَا
approach [both of you]
×2
فَتَكُونَا
lest you both be
×2
فَوَسْوَسَ
Then whispered
×1
لِيُبْدِىَ
to make apparent
×1
وُۥرِىَ
was concealed
×4
سَوْءَٰتِهِمَا
their shame.
×85
وَقَالَ
And he said,
×1
نَهَىٰكُمَا
forbid you both
×2
تَكُونَا
you two become
×1
مَلَكَيْنِ
Angels
×1
ٱلْخَٰلِدِينَ
the immortals."
×1
وَقَاسَمَهُمَآ
And he swore (to) both of them,
×1
فَدَلَّىٰهُمَا
So he made both of them fall
×1
بِغُرُورٍ
by deception.
×1
ذَاقَا
they both tasted
×2
يَخْصِفَانِ
(to) fasten
×1
وَنَادَىٰهُمَا
And called them both
×1
أَنْهَكُمَا
I forbid you both
×1
تِلْكُمَا
this
×23
عَدُوٌّ
(is) an enemy,
×2
قَالَا
Both of them said,
×1
ظَلَمْنَآ
we have wronged
