وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ
and may be reminded

وَوَهَبْنَا
And We gave

لِدَاوُۥدَ
to Dawood

ٱلْعَبْدُ
slave.

ٱلصَّٰفِنَٰتُ
excellent bred steeds.
×1
ٱلْجِيَادُ
excellent bred steeds.
×1
تَوَارَتْ
they were hidden
×1
بِٱلْحِجَابِ
in the veil;
×1
فَطَفِقَ
Then he began
×1
مَسْحًۢا
(to) pass (his hand)
×1
بِٱلسُّوقِ
over the legs
×1
وَٱلْأَعْنَاقِ
and the necks.

فَتَنَّا
We tried
×1
كُرْسِيِّهِۦ
his throne
×3
أَنَابَ
he turned.
×2
لِأَحَدٍ
to anyone
×1
فَسَخَّرْنَا
Then We subjected
×1
رُخَآءً
gently,
×5
أَصَابَ
he directed,
×1
وَغَوَّاصٍ
and diver,
×1
عَطَآؤُنَا
(is) Our gift,
×1
فَٱمْنُنْ
so grant
×3
أَمْسِكْ
withhold
×1
أَيُّوبَ
Ayyub,
×1
بِنُصْبٍ
with distress
×1
ٱرْكُضْ
"Strike
×1
بِرِجْلِكَ
with your foot.
×1
مُغْتَسَلٌۢ
(is a spring of) water to bathe,
×2
وَشَرَابٌ
and a drink."

رَحْمَةً
a Mercy
×1
وَخُذْ
"And take
×2
بِيَدِكَ
in your hand
×1
ضِغْثًا
a bunch
×2
فَٱضْرِب
and strike
×1
تَحْنَثْ
break (your) oath."
×1
وَجَدْنَٰهُ
[We] found him
×2
صَابِرًا
patient,
×9
وَإِسْحَٰقَ
and Isaac
×1
ٱلْأَيْدِى
(of) strength
×7
وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ
and vision.
×1
أَخْلَصْنَٰهُم
[We] chose them
×1
بِخَالِصَةٍ
for an exclusive (quality);
×1
ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ
the chosen ones,
×2
ٱلْأَخْيَارِ
the best.
×2
وَٱلْيَسَعَ
and Elisha
×18
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
for the righteous
×1
لَحُسْنَ
surely, is a good
×1
مُّفَتَّحَةً
(will be) opened
