مُلْكَهُۥ
his kingdom

وَفَصْلَ
and decisive

ٱلْخِطَابِ
speech.

ٱلْخَصْمِ
(of) the litigants,

تَسَوَّرُوا۟
they climbed over the wall

ٱلْمِحْرَابَ
(of) the chamber?

فَفَزِعَ
and he was afraid

فَٱحْكُم
so judge

تُشْطِطْ
be unjust
×1
وَٱهْدِنَآ
and guide us
×1
وَتِسْعُونَ
ninety-nine
×2
نَعْجَةً
ewe(s)
×1
أَكْفِلْنِيهَا
"Entrust her to me,"
×1
وَعَزَّنِى
and he overpowered me
×1
ظَلَمَكَ
he has wronged you
×1
بِسُؤَالِ
by demanding
×1
نَعْجَتِكَ
your ewe
×1
نِعَاجِهِۦ
his ewes.

ٱلْخُلَطَآءِ
the partners
×1
لَيَبْغِى
certainly oppress
×1
فَتَنَّٰهُ
We (had) tried him,
×2
فَٱسْتَغْفَرَ
and he asked forgiveness
×2
وَخَرَّ
and fell down
×1
رَاكِعًا
bowing
×1
وَأَنَابَ
and turned in repentance.
×1
فَغَفَرْنَا
So We forgave
×2
لَزُلْفَىٰ
surely is a near access
×5
وَحُسْنَ
and a good
×1
يَٰدَاوُۥدُ
"O Dawood!
×4
ٱلْهَوَىٰ
the desire,
×1
فَيُضِلَّكَ
for it will lead you astray
×2
بَٰطِلًا
without purpose.
×1
كَٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ
like those who spread corruption
×1
كَٱلْفُجَّارِ
like the wicked?
×1
مُبَٰرَكٌ
blessed,
×1
لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓا۟
that they may ponder
