وَعَشْرًا
and ten (days).

عَرَّضْتُم
you hint

خِطْبَةِ
marriage proposal

أَكْنَنتُمْ
you conceal it

سَتَذْكُرُونَهُنَّ
will mention them,

تُوَاعِدُوهُنَّ
promise them (widows)

سِرًّا
secretly

مَّعْرُوفًا
honorable.

تَعْزِمُوا۟
resolve (on)

ٱلنِّكَاحِ
(of) marriage

أَجَلَهُۥ
its end.

فَٱحْذَرُوهُ
so beware of Him.

تَفْرِضُوا۟
you specified

وَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ
And make provision for them -
×1
ٱلْمُوسِعِ
the wealthy
×2
قَدَرُهُۥ
according to his means
×1
ٱلْمُقْتِرِ
the poor
×2
طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ
you divorce them
×2
فَرَضْتُمْ
you have specified
×1
فَنِصْفُ
then (give) half
×1
يَعْفُونَ
they (women) forgo (it)
×1
يَعْفُوَا۟
forgoes
×4
بِيَدِهِۦ
in whose hands
×4
لِلتَّقْوَىٰ
to [the] righteousness.

تَنسَوُا۟
forget
×1
حَٰفِظُوا۟
Guard strictly
×1
ٱلصَّلَوَٰتِ
the prayers,
×1
ٱلْوُسْطَىٰ
