يَحْلِلْ
on whom descends

هَوَىٰ
he (has) perished.

لَغَفَّارٌ
the Perpetual Forgiver

أَعْجَلَكَ
made you hasten

قَوْمِكَ
your people,

يَٰمُوسَىٰ
O Musa?"

أُو۟لَآءِ
(are) close
×1
أَثَرِى
my tracks,
×1
وَعَجِلْتُ
and I hastened
×1
لِتَرْضَىٰ
that You be pleased."

بَعْدِكَ
after you
×1
وَأَضَلَّهُمُ
and has led them astray
×1
فَرَجَعَ
Then Musa returned
×3
أَسِفًا
(and) sorrowful.
×1
أَفَطَالَ
Then, did seem long
×2
ٱلْعَهْدُ
the promise,
×1
فَأَخْلَفْتُم
so you broke
×1
مَّوْعِدِى
(the) promise to me?"
×1
أَخْلَفْنَا
we broke
×1
مَوْعِدَكَ
promise to you
×1
بِمَلْكِنَا
by our will,
×3
وَلَٰكِنَّا
but we
×1
أَوْزَارًا
burdens
×1
فَقَذَفْنَٰهَا
so we threw them
×1
فَكَذَٰلِكَ
and thus
×2
ٱلسَّامِرِىُّ
the Samiri."
×3
فَأَخْرَجَ
Then he brought forth
×2
عِجْلًا
a calf's
×4
جَسَدًا
body
×2
وَإِلَٰهُ
and the god
×2
فَنَسِىَ
but he forgot."

يَرْجِعُ
it (could) return
×43
يَٰقَوْمِ
"O my people!
×8
أَمْرِى
my order."

نَّبْرَحَ
we will cease
×2
عَٰكِفِينَ
being devoted to it
×1
يَٰهَٰرُونُ
"O Harun!
×1
تَتَّبِعَنِ
you follow me?
×1
أَفَعَصَيْتَ
Then, have you disobeyed
×1
يَبْنَؤُمَّ
"O son of my mother!
×1
تَأْخُذْ
seize (me)
×1
بِلِحْيَتِى
by my beard
×1
بِرَأْسِىٓ
by my head.
×1
خَشِيتُ
[I] feared
×1
فَرَّقْتَ
"You caused division
×47
وَلَمْ
and not
×1
تَرْقُبْ
you respect
×2
قَوْلِى
my word."
