نُسَبِّحَكَ
we may glorify You

وَنَذْكُرَكَ
And [we] remember You

أُوتِيتَ
you are granted

سُؤْلَكَ
your request,

ٱقْذِفِيهِ
cast him

ٱلتَّابُوتِ
the chest

فَٱقْذِفِيهِ
then cast it

فَلْيُلْقِهِ
then let cast it

بِٱلسَّاحِلِ
on the bank;
×1
يَأْخُذْهُ
will take him
×1
وَعَدُوٌّ
and an enemy
×1
وَأَلْقَيْتُ
And I cast
×1
مَحَبَّةً
love
×1
وَلِتُصْنَعَ
and that you may be brought up
×1
عَيْنِىٓ
My eye.

أُخْتُكَ
your sister
×1
فَتَقُولُ
and she said,

أَدُلُّكُمْ
I show you
×1
يَكْفُلُهُۥ
will nurse and rear him?"

فَرَجَعْنَٰكَ
So We returned you

تَقَرَّ
may be cooled

عَيْنُهَا
her eyes

وَقَتَلْتَ
And you killed

نَفْسًا
a man,
×1
فَنَجَّيْنَٰكَ
but We saved you
×1
وَفَتَنَّٰكَ
and We tried you
×1
فُتُونًا
(with) a trial.
×1
فَلَبِثْتَ
Then you remained
×1
وَٱصْطَنَعْتُكَ
And I (have) chosen you
×1
وَأَخُوكَ
and your brother
×1
تَنِيَا
slacken
×1
لَّيِّنًا
gentle,
×5
إِنَّنَا
Indeed, we
×2
نَخَافُ
fear
×1
يَفْرُطَ
he will hasten
