وَيَسْتَغْفِرُوا۟
and they ask forgiveness

مُبَشِّرِينَ
(as) bearers of glad tidings

وَمُنذِرِينَ
and (as) warners.

وَيُجَٰدِلُ
And dispute

وَنَسِىَ
and forgets

يَدَاهُ
his hands?

تَدْعُهُمْ
you call them

يَهْتَدُوٓا۟
they will be guided

يُؤَاخِذُهُم

لَعَجَّلَ
surely, He (would) have hastened

مَّوْعِدٌ
(is) an appointment,

يَجِدُوا۟
they will find

دُونِهِۦ

مَوْئِلًا
an escape.

لِمَهْلِكِهِم
for their destruction

مَّوْعِدًا
an appointed time.

لِفَتَىٰهُ
to his boy,

حَتَّىٰٓ

أَبْلُغَ
I reach

مَجْمَعَ
the junction

أَمْضِىَ
I continue

حُقُبًا
(for) a long period."

حُوتَهُمَا
their fish,

فَٱتَّخَذَ
and it took

سَبِيلَهُۥ
its way

سَرَبًا
slipping away.

جَاوَزَا
they had passed beyond

غَدَآءَنَا
our morning meal.

لَقِينَا
we have suffered

سَفَرِنَا
our journey

نَصَبًا
fatigue."
