مَوَاطِنَ
regions

حُنَيْنٍ
(of) Hunain,
×2
أَعْجَبَتْكُمْ
pleased you
×1
كَثْرَتُكُمْ
your multitude,
×2
وَلَّيْتُم
you turned back,
×1
جُنُودًا
forces,
×3
تَرَوْهَا
which you did not see
×1
وَعَذَّبَ
and He punished
×1
نَجَسٌ
(are) unclean,
×1
يَقْرَبُوا۟
so let them not come near
×1
عَامِهِمْ
this, their (final) year.
×1
عَيْلَةً
poverty,
×1
يُغْنِيكُمُ
Allah will enrich you
×1
يُحَرِّمُونَ
they make unlawful
×1
يَدِينُونَ
they acknowledge
×2
يُعْطُوا۟
they pay
×1
ٱلْجِزْيَةَ
the jizyah
×2
صَٰغِرُونَ
(are) subdued.

ٱلْيَهُودُ
the Jews,

عُزَيْرٌ
"Uzair
×28
ٱبْنُ
(is) son
×4
ٱلنَّصَٰرَى
the Christians,
×1
يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ
they imitate
×1
أَحْبَارَهُمْ
their rabbis
×1
وَرُهْبَٰنَهُمْ
and their monks
×3
أَرْبَابًا
(as) Lords
×1
وَٱلْمَسِيحَ
and the Messiah,
×3
أُمِرُوٓا۟
they were commanded
×13
يُرِيدُونَ
They want
×1
يُطْفِـُٔوا۟
extinguish
×1
وَيَأْبَى
but Allah refuses
×1
نُورَهُۥ
His Light

ٱلَّذِىٓ
(is) the One Who

أَرْسَلَ
has sent
×4
رَسُولَهُۥ
His Messenger
×3
وَدِينِ
and the religion
×3
لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ
to manifest it
×1
ٱلْأَحْبَارِ
the rabbis
×1
وَٱلرُّهْبَانِ
and the monks
×2
لَيَأْكُلُونَ
surely eat
×1
يَكْنِزُونَ
hoard
×1
يُنفِقُونَهَا
spend it
×3
فَبَشِّرْهُم
[so] give them tidings
×1
يُحْمَىٰ
it will be heated [on it]
×1
فَتُكْوَىٰ
and will be branded
×1
جِبَاهُهُمْ
their foreheads
×1
وَجُنُوبُهُمْ
and their flanks
×1
وَظُهُورُهُمْ
and their backs,
