وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
and were arrogant

جِهَارًا
publicly.

أَعْلَنتُ
announced

وَأَسْرَرْتُ
and I confided

إِسْرَارًا
secretly,

فَقُلْتُ
Then I said,

غَفَّارًا
Oft-Forgiving.

مِّدْرَارًا
(in) abundance,

وَيُمْدِدْكُم
And proverse_ide you

بِأَمْوَٰلٍ
with wealth

تَرْجُونَ
you attribute

وَقَارًا
grandeur?

خَلَقَكُمْ
He created you

أَطْوَارًا
(in) stages.

تَرَوْا۟
you see

طِبَاقًا
(in) layers,

وَجَعَلَ
And made

أَنۢبَتَكُم
has caused you to grow

يُعِيدُكُمْ
He will return you

وَيُخْرِجُكُمْ
and bring you forth,

إِخْرَاجًا
(a new) bringing forth.

بِسَاطًا
an expanse,

لِّتَسْلُكُوا۟
That you may go along

عَصَوْنِى
disobeyed me
×1
يَزِدْهُ
increase him

مَالُهُۥ
his wealth,
×1
وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ
and his children
