أَفَنَضْرِبُ
Then should We take away

صَفْحًا
disregarding (you),
×1
مُّسْرِفِينَ
transgressing?
×1
فَأَهْلَكْنَآ
Then We destroyed
×2
بَطْشًا
(in) power
×1
وَمَضَىٰ
and has passed
×2
خَلَقَهُنَّ
"Created them
×35
مَآءًۢ
water
×1
فَأَنشَرْنَا
then We revive
×1
تَرْكَبُونَ
you ride,
×1
لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟
That you may sit firmly,
×1
ظُهُورِهِۦ
their backs,
×2
تَذْكُرُوا۟
remember
×1
ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ
you sit firmly
×1
وَتَقُولُوا۟
and say,
×4
مُقْرِنِينَ
capable.
×1
لَمُنقَلِبُونَ
will surely return."

وَجَعَلُوا۟
But they attribute
×1
بَنَاتٍ
daughters
×1
وَأَصْفَىٰكُم
and He has chosen (for) you
×2
بِٱلْبَنِينَ
sons.
×8
ضَرَبَ
he sets up
×3
ظَلَّ
becomes
×3
كَظِيمٌ
(is) filled with grief.
×2
أَوَمَن
Then (is one) who
×1
يُنَشَّؤُا۟
is brought up
×1
ٱلْحِلْيَةِ
ornaments
×1
أَشَهِدُوا۟
Did they witness
×1
سَتُكْتَبُ
Will be recorded
×1
شَهَٰدَتُهُمْ
their testimony,
×1
وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ
and they will be questioned.
×1
عَبَدْنَٰهُم
we would not have worshipped them."

بِذَٰلِكَ
about that
×3
يَخْرُصُونَ
lie.
×1
مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ
(are) holding fast?
×10
ءَابَآءَنَا
our forefathers
×5
مُّهْتَدُونَ
(are) guided."

وَكَذَٰلِكَ
And thus
×51
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
×1
مُّقْتَدُونَ
(are) following."
×1
بِأَهْدَىٰ
better guidance
×2
وَجَدتُّمْ
you found
×1
بَرَآءٌ
disassociated
×1
وَجَعَلَهَا
And he made it
×1
عَقِبِهِۦ
his descendents,
×1
مَتَّعْتُ
I gave enjoyment
×1
وَرَسُولٌ
and a Messenger
×15
كَٰفِرُونَ
(are) disbelievers."
