تُدْرِكَ
it overtakes

ٱلْقَمَرَ
the moon,

يَسْبَحُونَ
they are floating.

حَمَلْنَا
We carried

ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ
their offspring

وَخَلَقْنَا
And We created

يَرْكَبُونَ
they ride.

نُغْرِقْهُمْ
We could drown them;

صَرِيخَ
(would be) a responder to a cry

خَلْفَكُمْ
(is) behind you

تَأْتِيهِم
comes to them

أَنُطْعِمُ
"Should we feed

أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ
He would have fed him?"

تَأْخُذُهُمْ
it will seize them

يَخِصِّمُونَ
are disputing.

تَوْصِيَةً
(to) make a will,

أَهْلِهِمْ
their people

يَٰوَيْلَنَا
"O woe to us!

بَعَثَنَا
has raised us

مَّرْقَدِنَا
our sleeping place?"

جَمِيعٌ

لَّدَيْنَا
before Us

شُغُلٍ
will be occupied

فَٰكِهُونَ
(in) amusement,

مُتَّكِـُٔونَ
reclining.

فَٰكِهَةٌ
(are) fruits,
×1
وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟
"But stand apart
×1
أَعْهَدْ
I enjoin
×1
ٱعْبُدُونِى
you worship Me?
×1
جِبِلًّا
a multitude

تُوعَدُونَ
promised.
×2
ٱصْلَوْهَا
Burn therein
×1
نَخْتِمُ
We will seal
×4
أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ
their mouths,
×1
وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ
and will speak to Us
×1
وَتَشْهَدُ
and will bear witness
×1
لَطَمَسْنَا
We (would have) surely obliterated
×1
لَمَسَخْنَٰهُمْ
surely, We (would have) transformed them
