Ayah 1
ٱقْرَأْ Read بِٱسْمِ in (the) name رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord ٱلَّذِى the One Who خَلَقَ created -
English - Recite in the name of your Lord who created – .
हिंदी - पढ़ो, अपने रब के नाम से जिसने पैदा किया।.
Ayah 2
خَلَقَ He created ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ man مِنْ from عَلَقٍ a clinging substance.
English - Created man from a clinging substance. .
हिंदी - पैदा किया इन्सान को जमे हुए खून से।.
Ayah 3
ٱقْرَأْ Read, وَرَبُّكَ and your Lord ٱلْأَكْرَمُ (is) the Most Generous,
English - Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous – .
हिंदी - पढ़ो और तुमहारा रब बड़ा करम करने वाला है।.
Ayah 4
ٱلَّذِى The One Who عَلَّمَ taught بِٱلْقَلَمِ by the pen,
English - Who taught by the pen – .
हिंदी - जिसने क़लम के ज़रिए सिखाया।.
Ayah 5
عَلَّمَ Taught ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ man مَا what لَمْ not يَعْلَمْ he knew.
English - Taught man that which he knew not. .
हिंदी - उसी ने इन्सान को वह सिखाया जो वह नहीं जानता था।.
Ayah 6
كَلَّآ Nay! إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ man لَيَطْغَىٰٓ surely transgresses,
English - No! [But] indeed, man transgresses .
हिंदी - हरगिज़ नहीं, बेशक इन्सान हद से बढ़ जाता है।.
Ayah 7
أَن That رَّءَاهُ he sees himself ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ self-sufficient.
English - Because he sees himself self-sufficient. .
हिंदी - कि वह अपने आप को मुक्त समझता है।.
Ayah 8
إِنَّ Indeed, إِلَىٰ to رَبِّكَ your Lord ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ (is) the return.
English - Indeed, to your Lord is the return. .
हिंदी - बेशक अपने रब की तरफ़ लौटना है।.
Ayah 9
أَرَءَيْتَ Have you seen ٱلَّذِى the one who يَنْهَىٰ forbids
English - Have you seen the one who forbids .
हिंदी - क्या तुम ने उसे देखा जो रोकता है?.
Ayah 10
عَبْدًا A slave إِذَا when صَلَّىٰٓ he prays?
English - A servant when he prays? .
हिंदी - बन्दे को जब वह नमाज़ पढ़ता है।.
Ayah 11
أَرَءَيْتَ Have you seen إِن if كَانَ he is عَلَى upon ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ [the] guidance,
English - Have you seen if he is upon guidance .
हिंदी - तुम्हारा क्या ख़्याल है कि अगर वह सही रास्ते पर हो।.
Ayah 12
أَوْ Or أَمَرَ he enjoins بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ [of the] righteousness?
English - Or enjoins righteousness? .
हिंदी - या परहेज़गारी का हुक्म दे।.
Ayah 13
أَرَءَيْتَ Have you seen إِن if كَذَّبَ he denies وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ and turns away?
English - Have you seen if he denies and turns away – .
हिंदी - क्या तुम ने देखा उसने किस तरह झुटला दिया और मुँह फेरा।.
Ayah 14
أَلَمْ Does not يَعْلَم he know بِأَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah يَرَىٰ sees?
English - Does he not know that Allah sees? .
हिंदी - क्या वह नहीं जानता की अल्लाह देख रहा है।.
Ayah 15
كَلَّا Nay! لَئِن If لَّمْ not يَنتَهِ he desists, لَنَسْفَعًۢا surely We will drag him بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ by the forelock,
English - No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock – .
हिंदी - बिल्कुल नहीं अगर वह इस बात से न रुका तो हम उसे माथे का बाल पकड़ के घसीटेंगे ।.
Ayah 16
نَاصِيَةٍ A forelock كَٰذِبَةٍ lying, خَاطِئَةٍ sinful.
English - A lying, sinning forelock. .
हिंदी - झूठे, ग़लती करने वाले की पेशानी के बालों को।.
Ayah 17
فَلْيَدْعُ Then let him call نَادِيَهُۥ his associates,
English - Then let him call his associates; .
हिंदी - तो वह अपने साथियों को बुला ले।.
Ayah 18
سَنَدْعُ We will call ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ the Angels of Hell.
English - We will call the angels of Hell. .
हिंदी - हम फरिश्तों को बुलाएंगे।.
Ayah 19
كَلَّا Nay! لَا (Do) not تُطِعْهُ obey him. وَٱسْجُدْ But prostrate وَٱقْتَرِب and draw near (to Allah).
English - No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. .
हिंदी - हरगिज़ उनका कहना न मानो और सजदे करो और क़रीब हो जाओ।.
