Ayah 1
وَٱلَّيْلِ By the night إِذَا when يَغْشَىٰ it covers,
English - By the night when it covers .
हिंदी - क़सम है रात की जब वह छा जाती है।.
Ayah 2
وَٱلنَّهَارِ And the day إِذَا when تَجَلَّىٰ it shines in brightness,
English - And [by] the day when it appears .
हिंदी - और क़सम है दिन की जब वह रौशन हो जाता है।.
Ayah 3
وَمَا And He Who خَلَقَ created ٱلذَّكَرَ the male وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ and the female,
English - And [by] He who created the male and female, .
हिंदी - और उस की जिसने नर और मादा को पैदा किया।.
Ayah 4
إِنَّ Indeed, سَعْيَكُمْ your efforts لَشَتَّىٰ (are) surely diverse.
English - Indeed, your efforts are diverse. .
हिंदी - बेशक तुम्हारी कोशिश तरह तरह की है।.
Ayah 5
فَأَمَّا Then as for مَنْ (him) who أَعْطَىٰ gives وَٱتَّقَىٰ and fears,
English - As for he who gives and fears Allah .
हिंदी - तो जिस ने दिया और डर रखा।.
Ayah 6
وَصَدَّقَ And believes بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ in the best,
English - And believes in the best [reward], .
हिंदी - और जिस ने सच्चाई को माना ।.
Ayah 7
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ Then We will ease him لِلْيُسْرَىٰ towards [the] ease.
English - We will ease him toward ease. .
हिंदी - तो हम उस को आसानी की सुविधा देंगे।.
Ayah 8
وَأَمَّا But as for مَنۢ (him) who بَخِلَ withholds وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ and considers himself free from need,
English - But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need .
हिंदी - और जिसने कंजूसी की और बेपरवाह रहा ।.
Ayah 9
وَكَذَّبَ And denies بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ the best,
English - And denies the best [reward], .
हिंदी - और जिसने अच्छाई को झुटलाया।.
Ayah 10
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ Then We will ease him لِلْعُسْرَىٰ towards [the] difficulty.
English - We will ease him toward difficulty. .
हिंदी - तो हम उसको कठिनाई के लिए सुविधा देंगे।.
Ayah 11
وَمَا And not يُغْنِى will avail عَنْهُ him مَالُهُۥٓ his wealth إِذَا when تَرَدَّىٰٓ he falls.
English - And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? .
हिंदी - और उसका माल उसके काम न आएगा जब वह गड़हे में गिरेगा।.
Ayah 12
إِنَّ Indeed, عَلَيْنَا upon Us لَلْهُدَىٰ (is) the guidance.
English - Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. .
हिंदी - बेशक हमारा काम रास्ता दिखाना है।.
Ayah 13
وَإِنَّ And indeed, لَنَا for Us لَلْءَاخِرَةَ (is) the Hereafter وَٱلْأُولَىٰ and the first (life).
English - And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. .
हिंदी - और बेशक हमारे लिए ही आख़िरत और दुनिया हैं ।.
Ayah 14
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ So I warn you نَارًا (of) a Fire تَلَظَّىٰ blazing,
English - So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. .
हिंदी - तो मैं ने तुम्हें भड़कती हुई आग से होशियार कर दिया है ।.
Ayah 15
لَا Not يَصْلَىٰهَآ will burn (in) it إِلَّا except ٱلْأَشْقَى the most wretched,
English - None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. .
हिंदी - उस में नहीं दाख़िल होगा मगर सबसे बुरा आदमी।.
Ayah 16
ٱلَّذِى The one who كَذَّبَ denied وَتَوَلَّىٰ and turned away.
English - Who had denied and turned away. .
हिंदी - जिसने झुठलाया और मुँह फेर लिया।.
Ayah 17
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا But will be removed from it ٱلْأَتْقَى the righteous,
English - But the righteous one will avoid it – .
हिंदी - और उस से वह बड़ा परहेज़गार बचा लिया जाएगा।.
Ayah 18
ٱلَّذِى The one who يُؤْتِى gives مَالَهُۥ his wealth يَتَزَكَّىٰ (to) purify himself,
English - [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself .
हिंदी - जो अपना माल देता है कि वह पाक हो जाए ।.
Ayah 19
وَمَا And not لِأَحَدٍ for anyone عِندَهُۥ with him مِن any نِّعْمَةٍ favor تُجْزَىٰٓ to be recompensed
English - And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded .
हिंदी - और उस पर किसी का कोई एहसान नहीं कि जिस का बदला दिया जाए ।.
Ayah 20
إِلَّا Except ٱبْتِغَآءَ seeking وَجْهِ (the) Countenance رَبِّهِ (of) his Lord, ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ the Most High.
English - But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. .
हिंदी - मगर अपने महान रब की खु़शी हासिल करने के लिए ।.
Ayah 21
وَلَسَوْفَ And soon, surely يَرْضَىٰ he will be pleased.
English - And he is going to be satisfied. .
हिंदी - और वह जल्द ही राज़ी होगा।.
