Ayah 1
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ By the sky وَٱلطَّارِقِ and the night comer,
English - By the sky and the night comer – .
हिंदी - क़सम है आसमान की और रात को आने वाले की ।.
Ayah 2
وَمَآ And what أَدْرَىٰكَ can make you know مَا what ٱلطَّارِقُ the night comer (is)?
English - And what can make you know what is the night comer? .
हिंदी - और तुम्हें क्या मालूम की रात को आने वाला क्या है?.
Ayah 3
ٱلنَّجْمُ (It is) the star, ٱلثَّاقِبُ the piercing!
English - It is the piercing star – .
हिंदी - चमकता हुआ तारा है।.
Ayah 4
إِن Not كُلُّ (is) every نَفْسٍ soul لَّمَّا but عَلَيْهَا over it حَافِظٌ (is) a protector.
English - There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. .
हिंदी - कोई शख़्स ऐसा नहीं जिस पर कोई निगेहबान नहीं है।.
Ayah 5
فَلْيَنظُرِ So let see ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ man مِمَّ from what خُلِقَ he is created.
English - So let man observe from what he was created. .
हिंदी - तो इन्सान को देखना चाहिए कि वह किस चीज़ से पैदा किया गया है।.
Ayah 6
خُلِقَ He is created مِن from مَّآءٍ a water, دَافِقٍ ejected,
English - He was created from a fluid, ejected, .
हिंदी - वह उछलते हुए पानी से पैदा किया गया है।.
Ayah 7
يَخْرُجُ Coming forth مِنۢ from بَيْنِ between ٱلصُّلْبِ the backbone وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ and the ribs.
English - Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. .
हिंदी - जो पीठ और छाती की हड्डियों के बीच से निकलता है।.
Ayah 8
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He عَلَىٰ to رَجْعِهِۦ return him لَقَادِرٌ (is) Able.
English - Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. .
हिंदी - बेशक वह उसको लौटाने पर ताक़त रखता है।.
Ayah 9
يَوْمَ (The) Day تُبْلَى will be tested ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ the secrets,
English - The Day when secrets will be put on trial, .
हिंदी - जिस दिन राज़ ज़ाहिर कर दिए जाएंगे।.
Ayah 10
فَمَا Then not لَهُۥ (is) for him مِن any قُوَّةٍ power وَلَا and not نَاصِرٍ any helper.
English - Then man will have no power or any helper. .
हिंदी - तो उस के लिए न कोई ताक़त होगी और न कोई मददगार।.
Ayah 11
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ By the sky ذَاتِ which ٱلرَّجْعِ returns,
English - By the sky which returns [rain] .
हिंदी - क़सम है चक्कर मारने वाले आसमान की।.
Ayah 12
وَٱلْأَرْضِ And the earth ذَاتِ which ٱلصَّدْعِ cracks open,
English - And [by] the earth which cracks open, .
हिंदी - और फटने वाली ज़मीन की ।.
Ayah 13
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it لَقَوْلٌ (is) surely a Word فَصْلٌ decisive,
English - Indeed, the Qur’an is a decisive statement, .
हिंदी - यह एक निर्णायक बात है।.
Ayah 14
وَمَا And not هُوَ it بِٱلْهَزْلِ (is) for amusement.
English - And it is not amusement. .
हिंदी - और यह कोई मज़ाक़ नहीं है।.
Ayah 15
إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they يَكِيدُونَ are plotting كَيْدًا a plot,
English - Indeed, they are planning a plan, .
हिंदी - बेशक वह लोग चाल चल रहे हैं।.
Ayah 16
وَأَكِيدُ But I am planning كَيْدًا a plan.
English - But I am planning a plan. .
हिंदी - और मैं भी चाल चल रहा हूँ।.
Ayah 17
فَمَهِّلِ So give respite ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ (to) the disbelievers. أَمْهِلْهُمْ Give respite to them - رُوَيْدًۢا little.
English - So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. .
हिंदी - तो काफ़िरों को कुछ छूट दो, ढ़ील देदो इन्हें थोड़ी देर के लिए।.
