Ayah 1
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ By the sky, ذَاتِ containing ٱلْبُرُوجِ the constellations,
English - By the sky containing great stars .
हिंदी - क़सम है नक्षत्रों वाले आसमान की।.
Ayah 2
وَٱلْيَوْمِ And the Day ٱلْمَوْعُودِ Promised,
English - And [by] the promised Day .
हिंदी - और वादे के दिन की।.
Ayah 3
وَشَاهِدٍ And (the) witness وَمَشْهُودٍ and what is witnessed,
English - And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, .
हिंदी - और देखने वाले की और देखी जाने वाली चीज़ की।.
Ayah 4
قُتِلَ Destroyed were أَصْحَٰبُ (the) companions ٱلْأُخْدُودِ (of) the pit,
English - Cursed were the companions of the trench .
हिंदी - मारे गए गड़हे वाले।.
Ayah 5
ٱلنَّارِ (Of) the fire ذَاتِ full ٱلْوَقُودِ (of) the fuel,
English - [Containing] the fire full of fuel, .
हिंदी - आग भरी इंधन से।.
Ayah 6
إِذْ When هُمْ they عَلَيْهَا by it قُعُودٌ (were) sitting,
English - When they were sitting near it .
हिंदी - जबकि वह उस पर बैठे हुए थे।.
Ayah 7
وَهُمْ And they عَلَىٰ over مَا what يَفْعَلُونَ they were doing بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ to the believers شُهُودٌ witnesses.
English - And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. .
हिंदी - और जो कुछ वह ईमान लाने वालों के साथ कर रहे थे, उसे देख रहे थे।.
Ayah 8
وَمَا And not نَقَمُوا۟ they resented مِنْهُمْ [of] them إِلَّآ except أَن that يُؤْمِنُوا۟ they believed بِٱللَّهِ in Allah ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَمِيدِ the Praiseworthy,
English - And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, .
हिंदी - और उन्होंने उन से इस बात का बदला लिया कि वह उस अल्लाह पर ईमान ले आए थे जो ज़बरदस्त, तारीफ़ वाला है।.
Ayah 9
ٱلَّذِى The One Who, لَهُۥ for Him مُلْكُ (is) the dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth; وَٱللَّهُ and Allah عَلَىٰ on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing شَهِيدٌ (is) a Witness.
English - To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. .
हिंदी - जिस के लिए आसमानों और ज़मीन की बादशाहत है, और अल्लाह सब कुछ देख रहा है।.
Ayah 10
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who فَتَنُوا۟ persecuted ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believing men وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ and the believing women, ثُمَّ then لَمْ not يَتُوبُوا۟ they repented, فَلَهُمْ then for them عَذَابُ (is the) punishment جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell وَلَهُمْ and for them عَذَابُ (is the) punishment ٱلْحَرِيقِ (of) the Burning Fire.
English - Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन लोगों ने मोमिन मर्दों और औरतों को तकलीफें दीं फिर उन्हों ने तौबा न की तो उन के लिए जहन्नम का अज़ाब है, और उन के लिए जलने का अज़ाब है।.
Ayah 11
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ the righteous deeds, لَهُمْ for them جَنَّٰتٌ (will be) Gardens تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers. ذَٰلِكَ That ٱلْفَوْزُ (is) the success ٱلْكَبِيرُ the great.
English - Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. .
हिंदी - बेशक जो लोग ईमान लाए और अच्छे काम करते रहे, उनके लिए वह बाग़ हैं, जिनके नीचे नहरें बहती हैं, यही तो बड़ी कामयाबी है।.
Ayah 12
إِنَّ Indeed, بَطْشَ (the) Grip رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord لَشَدِيدٌ (is) surely strong.
English - Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. .
हिंदी - बेशक तुम्हारे रब की पकड़ बहुत सख़्त है।.
Ayah 13
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed He, هُوَ He يُبْدِئُ originates وَيُعِيدُ and repeats,
English - Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. .
हिंदी - बेशक यह वह है जो शुरू करता है और दोहराता है।.
Ayah 14
وَهُوَ And He ٱلْغَفُورُ (is) the Oft-Forgiving, ٱلْوَدُودُ the Most Loving,
English - And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, .
हिंदी - और वह माफ़ करने वाला, मोहब्बत करने वाला है।.
Ayah 15
ذُو Owner (of) ٱلْعَرْشِ the Throne ٱلْمَجِيدُ the Glorious,
English - Honorable Owner of the Throne, .
हिंदी - गौरव वाले सिंहासन का मालिक है।.
Ayah 16
فَعَّالٌ Doer لِّمَا of what يُرِيدُ He intends.
English - Effecter of what He intends. .
हिंदी - जो चाहता है वह करता है।.
Ayah 17
هَلْ Has أَتَىٰكَ come to you حَدِيثُ (the) story ٱلْجُنُودِ (of) the hosts,
English - Has there reached you the story of the soldiers – .
हिंदी - क्या तुम्हारे पास लश्करों की ख़बर पहुँची?.
Ayah 18
فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَثَمُودَ and Thamud?
English - [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamūd? .
हिंदी - फ़िरऔन और समूद के।.
Ayah 19
بَلِ Nay! ٱلَّذِينَ Those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve فِى (are) in تَكْذِيبٍ denial.
English - But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, .
हिंदी - मगर जिन्होंने इन्कार किया, वे झुठलाने में लगे हुए हैं।.
Ayah 20
وَٱللَّهُ But Allah مِن from وَرَآئِهِم behind them, مُّحِيطٌۢ encompasses.
English - While Allah encompasses them from behind. .
हिंदी - और अल्लाह उन को पीछे से भी घेरे हुए है।.
Ayah 21
بَلْ Nay! هُوَ It قُرْءَانٌ (is) a Quran مَّجِيدٌ Glorious,
English - But this is an honored Qur’an .
हिंदी - बल्कि यह गौरव वाला कु़रआन है।.
Ayah 22
فِى In لَوْحٍ a Tablet, مَّحْفُوظٍۭ Guarded.
English - [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. .
हिंदी - महफ़ूज़ तख़्ती में।.
