Ayah 1
إِذَا When ٱلسَّمَآءُ the sky ٱنشَقَّتْ is split asunder,
English - When the sky has split [open] .
हिंदी - जब आसमान फट जाएगा।.
Ayah 2
وَأَذِنَتْ And has listened لِرَبِّهَا to its Lord وَحُقَّتْ and was obligated,
English - And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] .
हिंदी - और अपने रब की बात मानेगा, जैसा कि होना चाहिए।.
Ayah 3
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْأَرْضُ the earth مُدَّتْ is spread,
English - And when the earth has been extended .
हिंदी - और जब ज़मीन फैला दी जाएगी।.
Ayah 4
وَأَلْقَتْ And has cast out مَا what فِيهَا (is) in it وَتَخَلَّتْ and becomes empty,
English - And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it] .
हिंदी - और जो उसमें है उगल देगी, और ख़ाली हो जाएगी।.
Ayah 5
وَأَذِنَتْ And has listened لِرَبِّهَا to its Lord وَحُقَّتْ and was obligated.
English - And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] – .
हिंदी - और अपने रब की बात मानेगी, जैसा कि होना चाहिए।.
Ayah 6
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ mankind! إِنَّكَ Indeed, you كَادِحٌ (are) laboring إِلَىٰ to رَبِّكَ your Lord كَدْحًا (with) exertion فَمُلَٰقِيهِ and you (will) meet Him.
English - O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with [great] exertion and will meet it. .
हिंदी - ऐ इन्सान तू अपने रब की तरफ़ कोशिश करता है, तो तू उस से मिलेगा।.
Ayah 7
فَأَمَّا Then as for مَنْ (him) who أُوتِىَ is given كِتَٰبَهُۥ his record بِيَمِينِهِۦ in his right (hand),
English - Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, .
हिंदी - तो रहा वह जिसकी किताब उस के सीधे हाथ में दी जाएगी।.
Ayah 8
فَسَوْفَ Then soon يُحَاسَبُ his account will be taken حِسَابًا an account, يَسِيرًا easy,
English - He will be judged with an easy account .
हिंदी - तो उस से आसान हिसाब लिया जाएगा।.
Ayah 9
وَيَنقَلِبُ And he will return إِلَىٰٓ to أَهْلِهِۦ his people مَسْرُورًا happily.
English - And return to his people in happiness. .
हिंदी - और वह अपने घर वालों की तरफ़ खु़श खु़श लौटेगा।.
Ayah 10
وَأَمَّا But as for مَنْ (him) who أُوتِىَ is given كِتَٰبَهُۥ his record وَرَآءَ behind ظَهْرِهِۦ his back,
English - But as for he who is given his record behind his back, .
हिंदी - और रहा वह जिसकी किताब उस की पीठ के पीछे से दी जाएगी।.
Ayah 11
فَسَوْفَ Then soon يَدْعُوا۟ he will call ثُبُورًا (for) destruction,
English - He will cry out for destruction .
हिंदी - तो वह तबाही को पुकारेगा।.
Ayah 12
وَيَصْلَىٰ And he will burn سَعِيرًا (in) a Blaze.
English - And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. .
हिंदी - और वह जहन्नम में दाख़िल होगा।.
Ayah 13
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he كَانَ had been فِىٓ among أَهْلِهِۦ his people مَسْرُورًا happy,
English - Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness; .
हिंदी - और वह अपने घर वालों में मगन रहता था।.
Ayah 14
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he ظَنَّ (had) thought أَن that لَّن never يَحُورَ he would return.
English - Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah]. .
हिंदी - वह समझता था कि वह नहीं लौटेगा।.
Ayah 15
بَلَىٰٓ Yes! إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّهُۥ his Lord كَانَ was بِهِۦ of him بَصِيرًا All-Seer.
English - But yes! Indeed, his Lord was ever of him, Seeing. .
हिंदी - हाँ उसका रब यक़ीनन उसे देख रहा था।.
Ayah 16
فَلَآ But nay! أُقْسِمُ I swear بِٱلشَّفَقِ by the twilight glow,
English - So I swear by the twilight glow .
हिंदी - तो मैं क़सम खाता हूँ शाम की सुर्ख़ी की।.
Ayah 17
وَٱلَّيْلِ And the night وَمَا and what وَسَقَ it envelops,
English - And [by] the night and what it envelops .
हिंदी - और रात की और जो कुछ उस ने समेटा।.
Ayah 18
وَٱلْقَمَرِ And the moon إِذَا when ٱتَّسَقَ it becomes full,
English - And [by] the moon when it becomes full .
हिंदी - और चाँद की जब वह पूरा हो जाए।.
Ayah 19
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ You will surely embark طَبَقًا (to) stage عَن from طَبَقٍ stage.
English - [That] you will surely experience state after state. .
हिंदी - कि तुम लोग एक के बाद दूसरे दरजे पर चढ़ोगे।.
Ayah 20
فَمَا So what لَهُمْ (is) for them لَا not يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe,
English - So what is [the matter] with them [that] they do not believe, .
हिंदी - तो उन लोगों को क्या हो गया है, कि ईमान नहीं लाते।.
Ayah 21
وَإِذَا And when قُرِئَ is recited عَلَيْهِمُ to them ٱلْقُرْءَانُ the Quran, لَا not يَسْجُدُونَ they prostrate?
English - And when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? .
हिंदी - और जब उनके सामने क़ुरआन पढ़ा जाता है तो सजदा नहीं करते।.
Ayah 22
بَلِ Nay! ٱلَّذِينَ Those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved يُكَذِّبُونَ deny,
English - But those who have disbelieved deny, .
हिंदी - बल्कि इन्कार करने वाले झुठलाते हैं।.
Ayah 23
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah أَعْلَمُ (is) most knowing بِمَا of what يُوعُونَ they keep within themselves
English - And Allah is most knowing of what they keep within themselves. .
हिंदी - और जो ये लोग छिपाते हैं, अल्लाह उसे ख़ूब जानता है।.
Ayah 24
فَبَشِّرْهُم so give them tidings بِعَذَابٍ of a punishment أَلِيمٍ painful,
English - So give them tidings of a painful punishment, .
हिंदी - तो उन्हें दर्दनाक अज़ाब की सूचना दे दो।.
Ayah 25
إِلَّا Except ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous deeds. لَهُمْ For them أَجْرٌ (is) a reward غَيْرُ never مَمْنُونٍۭ ending.
English - Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds. For them is a reward uninterrupted. .
हिंदी - मगर जो लोग ईमान लाए और अच्छे काम करते रहे तो उनके लिए बेइंतेहा सवाब है।.
