Ayah 1
وَيْلٌ Woe لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ to those who give less,
English - Woe to those who give less [than due], .
हिंदी - नाप तोल में कमी करने वालों के लिए बर्बादी है।.
Ayah 2
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who إِذَا when ٱكْتَالُوا۟ they take a measure عَلَى from ٱلنَّاسِ the people, يَسْتَوْفُونَ they take in full,
English - Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. .
हिंदी - जो लोगों से नाप कर लेते हैं तो पूरा पूरा लेते हैं।.
Ayah 3
وَإِذَا But when كَالُوهُمْ they give by measure (to) them أَو or وَّزَنُوهُمْ they weigh (for) them يُخْسِرُونَ they give less.
English - But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. .
हिंदी - और जब उन्हें नाप तोल कर देते हैं तो कम देते हैं।.
Ayah 4
أَلَا Do not يَظُنُّ think أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those أَنَّهُم that they مَّبْعُوثُونَ (will be) resurrected,
English - Do they not think that they will be resurrected .
हिंदी - क्या ये नहीं जानते कि वे फिर से ज़िन्दा किये जाएँगे?.
Ayah 5
لِيَوْمٍ For a Day عَظِيمٍ Great,
English - For a tremendous Day – .
हिंदी - एक बडे़ दिन के लिए ।.
Ayah 6
يَوْمَ (The) Day يَقُومُ will stand ٱلنَّاسُ mankind لِرَبِّ before (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds?
English - The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds? .
हिंदी - जिस दिन लोग, सारे संसार के पालनहार के सामने खड़े होंगे।.
Ayah 7
كَلَّآ Nay! إِنَّ Indeed, كِتَٰبَ (the) record ٱلْفُجَّارِ (of) the wicked لَفِى (is) surely in سِجِّينٍ Sijjin.
English - No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen. .
हिंदी - हरगिज़ नहीं, यक़ीनन दुष्टों का कर्म पत्र सिज्जीन में है।.
Ayah 8
وَمَآ And what أَدْرَىٰكَ can make you know مَا what سِجِّينٌ (is) Sijjin?
English - And what can make you know what is sijjeen? .
हिंदी - और तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि सिज्जीन क्या है?.
Ayah 9
كِتَٰبٌ A book مَّرْقُومٌ written.
English - It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed. .
हिंदी - लिखी हुई एक किताब है।.
Ayah 10
وَيْلٌ Woe يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ to the deniers,
English - Woe, that Day, to the deniers, .
हिंदी - उस दिन ख़राबी है झुठलाने वालों के लिए।.
Ayah 11
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُكَذِّبُونَ deny بِيَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلدِّينِ (of) the Judgment.
English - Who deny the Day of Recompense. .
हिंदी - जो बदले के दिन को झुठलाते हैं ।.
Ayah 12
وَمَا And not يُكَذِّبُ can deny بِهِۦٓ [of] it إِلَّا except كُلُّ every مُعْتَدٍ transgressor أَثِيمٍ sinful.
English - And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. .
हिंदी - और उसे नहीं झुठलाता मगर हर हद से गुज़रने वाला दुष्कर्मी ।.
Ayah 13
إِذَا When تُتْلَىٰ are recited عَلَيْهِ to him ءَايَٰتُنَا Our Verses, قَالَ he says, أَسَٰطِيرُ "Stories ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people)."
English - When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." .
हिंदी - जब उसके सामने हमारी आयतें पढ़ी जाती हैं तो कहता है कि ये तो पुराने लोगों के अफ़साने हैं।.
Ayah 14
كَلَّا Nay! بَلْ But, رَانَ (the) stain has covered عَلَىٰ [over] قُلُوبِهِم their hearts مَّا (for) what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَكْسِبُونَ earn.
English - No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. .
हिंदी - हरगिज़ नहीं, बल्कि उन के दिलों पर उनके दुष्कर्मों का ज़ंग चढ़ गया है।.
Ayah 15
كَلَّآ Nay! إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they عَن from رَّبِّهِمْ their Lord يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ surely will be partitioned.
English - No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned. .
हिंदी - हरगिज़ नहीं, बेशक ये लोग उस दिन अपने रब से रोक दिए जाएँगे।.
Ayah 16
ثُمَّ Then إِنَّهُمْ indeed, they لَصَالُوا۟ (surely) will burn ٱلْجَحِيمِ (in) the Hellfire.
English - Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire. .
हिंदी - फिर इन को जहन्नम ही में दाख़िल होना है।.
Ayah 17
ثُمَّ Then يُقَالُ it will be said, هَٰذَا "This ٱلَّذِى (is) what كُنتُم you used to بِهِۦ [of it] تُكَذِّبُونَ deny."
English - Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny." .
हिंदी - फिर कहा जाएगा की यह वही चीज़ है जिसे तुम झुठलाया करते थे।.
Ayah 18
كَلَّآ Nay! إِنَّ Indeed, كِتَٰبَ (the) record ٱلْأَبْرَارِ (of) the righteous لَفِى (will be) surely in عِلِّيِّينَ Illiyin.
English - No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in ‘illiyyūn. .
हिंदी - हरगिज़ नहीं, बेशक नेक आदमियों का कर्म पत्र इल्लीयीन में है।.
Ayah 19
وَمَآ And what أَدْرَىٰكَ can make you know مَا what عِلِّيُّونَ (is) Illiyun?
English - And what can make you know what is ‘illiyyūn? .
हिंदी - और तुम्हें क्या मालूम इल्लीयीन क्या है?.
Ayah 20
كِتَٰبٌ A book مَّرْقُومٌ written,
English - It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed .
हिंदी - लिखी हुई एक किताब है।.
Ayah 21
يَشْهَدُهُ Witness it ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ those brought near.
English - Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]. .
हिंदी - जिसे देखेंगे बहुत क़रीब वाले।.
Ayah 22
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْأَبْرَارَ the righteous لَفِى (will be) surely in نَعِيمٍ bliss,
English - Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure .
हिंदी - बेशक नेक लोग मज़े में होंगे।.
Ayah 23
عَلَى On ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ thrones يَنظُرُونَ observing.
English - On adorned couches, observing. .
हिंदी - तख़्तों पर बैठे देख रहे होंगे।.
Ayah 24
تَعْرِفُ You will recognize فِى in وُجُوهِهِمْ their faces نَضْرَةَ (the) radiance ٱلنَّعِيمِ (of) bliss.
English - You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. .
हिंदी - तुम उनके चेहरों से सुकून की ताज़गी पहचान लोगे।.
Ayah 25
يُسْقَوْنَ They will be given to drink مِن of رَّحِيقٍ a pure wine مَّخْتُومٍ sealed,
English - They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed. .
हिंदी - उनको शुद्ध मुहर लगी हुई शराब पिलायी जाएगी।.
Ayah 26
خِتَٰمُهُۥ Its seal مِسْكٌ (will be of) musk. وَفِى And for ذَٰلِكَ that فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ let aspire ٱلْمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ the aspirers.
English - The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete. .
हिंदी - जिस पर कस्तूरी की मुहर होगी, जो बाज़ी ले जाना चाहते हैं वे इस में बाज़ी ले जाने का प्रयास करें।.
Ayah 27
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ And its mixture مِن (is) of تَسْنِيمٍ Tasneem,
English - And its mixture is of Tasneem, .
हिंदी - और उस में तसनीम की मिलावट होगी।.
Ayah 28
عَيْنًا A spring, يَشْرَبُ will drink بِهَا from it, ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ those brought near.
English - A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink. .
हिंदी - उस पानी से क़रीब वाले पिएंगे।.
Ayah 29
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who أَجْرَمُوا۟ committed crimes كَانُوا۟ used to مِنَ at ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed يَضْحَكُونَ laugh.
English - Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. .
हिंदी - और मुजरिम लोग ईमान वालों की हँसी उड़ाते थे।.
Ayah 30
وَإِذَا And when مَرُّوا۟ they passed بِهِمْ by them, يَتَغَامَزُونَ they winked at one another.
English - And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances. .
हिंदी - और जब उनके पास से गुज़रते तो उन पर आँख मारा करते थे।.
Ayah 31
وَإِذَا And when ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ they returned إِلَىٰٓ to أَهْلِهِمُ their people, ٱنقَلَبُوا۟ they would return فَكِهِينَ jesting.
English - And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting. .
हिंदी - और जब अपने घर वालों की तरफ़ लौटते तो मज़े में लौटते थे ।.
Ayah 32
وَإِذَا And when رَأَوْهُمْ they saw them, قَالُوٓا۟ they said, إِنَّ "Indeed, هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these لَضَآلُّونَ surely have gone astray."
English - And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost." .
हिंदी - और जब उन लोगों को देखते तो कहते कि ये बहके हुए लोग हैं।.
Ayah 33
وَمَآ But not أُرْسِلُوا۟ they had been sent عَلَيْهِمْ over them حَٰفِظِينَ (as) guardians.
English - But they had not been sent as guardians over them. .
हिंदी - हालांकि वे उन पर निगरानी करने वाले बना कर नहीं भेजे गए थे।.
Ayah 34
فَٱلْيَوْمَ So today ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed - مِنَ at ٱلْكُفَّارِ the disbelievers يَضْحَكُونَ they will laugh,
English - So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers, .
हिंदी - तो आज ईमान वाले लोग काफ़िरों पर हसेंगे।.
Ayah 35
عَلَى On ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ the thrones يَنظُرُونَ observing.
English - On adorned couches, observing. .
हिंदी - तख़्तों पर बैठे देख रहे होंगे।.
Ayah 36
هَلْ Have (not) ثُوِّبَ been rewarded ٱلْكُفَّارُ the disbelievers مَا (for) what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَفْعَلُونَ do?
English - Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do? .
हिंदी - क्या काफ़िरों को उस का बदला मिल गया जो वह किया करते थे?.
