Ayah 1
إِذَا When ٱلشَّمْسُ the sun كُوِّرَتْ is wrapped up,
English - When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] .
हिंदी - जब सूरज लपेट दिया जाएगा ।.
Ayah 2
وَإِذَا And when ٱلنُّجُومُ the stars ٱنكَدَرَتْ fall, losing their luster
English - And when the stars fall, dispersing, .
हिंदी - और जब सितारे मांद पड़ जाएंगे।.
Ayah 3
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْجِبَالُ the mountains سُيِّرَتْ are moved away,
English - And when the mountains are removed .
हिंदी - और जब पहाड़ चलाए जाएंगे।.
Ayah 4
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْعِشَارُ the full-term she-camels عُطِّلَتْ (are) left untended;
English - And when full-term she-camels are neglected .
हिंदी - और जब गाभिन उँटनियाँ छोड़ दी जाएंगी।.
Ayah 5
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْوُحُوشُ the wild beasts حُشِرَتْ are gathered,
English - And when the wild beasts are gathered .
हिंदी - और जब जंगली जानवर इकट्ठे कर दिए जाएंगे ।.
Ayah 6
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْبِحَارُ the seas سُجِّرَتْ are made to overflow,
English - And when the seas are filled with flame .
हिंदी - और जब समुद्र भड़का दिए जाएंगे।.
Ayah 7
وَإِذَا And when ٱلنُّفُوسُ the souls زُوِّجَتْ are paired,
English - And when the souls are paired .
हिंदी - और जब जानें जोड़ दी जाएंगी।.
Ayah 8
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ the female infant buried alive سُئِلَتْ is asked
English - And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked .
हिंदी - और जब ज़िन्दा गाड़ी हुई लड़की से पूछा जाएगा।.
Ayah 9
بِأَىِّ For what ذَنۢبٍ sin قُتِلَتْ she was killed.
English - For what sin she was killed .
हिंदी - कि वह किस गुनाह के बदले क़त्ल की गई।.
Ayah 10
وَإِذَا And when ٱلصُّحُفُ the pages نُشِرَتْ are laid open,
English - And when the pages are made public .
हिंदी - और जब शास्त्रों को खोला जाएगा।.
Ayah 11
وَإِذَا And when ٱلسَّمَآءُ the sky كُشِطَتْ is stripped away,
English - And when the sky is stripped away .
हिंदी - और जब आसमान चीर दिया जाएगा।.
Ayah 12
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْجَحِيمُ the Hellfire سُعِّرَتْ is set ablaze,
English - And when Hellfire is set ablaze .
हिंदी - और जब जहन्नम दहकाई जाएगी।.
Ayah 13
وَإِذَا And when ٱلْجَنَّةُ Paradise أُزْلِفَتْ is brought near,
English - And when Paradise is brought near, .
हिंदी - और जब जन्नत क़रीब कर दी जाएगी।.
Ayah 14
عَلِمَتْ Will know نَفْسٌ a soul مَّآ what أَحْضَرَتْ it has brought.
English - A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. .
हिंदी - तब हर आत्मा को मालूम हो जाएगा कि वह क्या लाई है।.
Ayah 15
فَلَآ But nay! أُقْسِمُ I swear بِٱلْخُنَّسِ by the retreating planets,
English - So I swear by the retreating stars – .
हिंदी - तो मैं क़सम खाता हूँ पीछे हटने वाले तारों की।.
Ayah 16
ٱلْجَوَارِ Those that run ٱلْكُنَّسِ (and) disappear,
English - Those that run [their courses] and disappear – .
हिंदी - चलने फिरने वाले, लुप्त हो जाने वाले तारों की।.
Ayah 17
وَٱلَّيْلِ And the night إِذَا when عَسْعَسَ it departs,
English - And by the night as it closes in .
हिंदी - और रात की क़सम जब वह ख़त्म होने लगे।.
Ayah 18
وَٱلصُّبْحِ And the dawn إِذَا when تَنَفَّسَ it breathes
English - And by the dawn when it breathes .
हिंदी - और सुबह की क़सम जब वह शुरू होने लगे।.
Ayah 19
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it لَقَوْلُ (is) surely a word رَسُولٍ (of) a Messenger كَرِيمٍ noble,
English - [That] indeed, the Qur’an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger .
हिंदी - बेशक यह एक इज़्ज़तदार रसूल का कथन है।.
Ayah 20
ذِى Possessor of قُوَّةٍ power, عِندَ with ذِى (the) Owner of ٱلْعَرْشِ the Throne مَكِينٍ secure,
English - [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], .
हिंदी - जो बड़ी शक्ति रखता है, सिंहासन वाले के यहाँ ऊँचे पद वाला है।.
Ayah 21
مُّطَاعٍ One to be obeyed ثَمَّ and أَمِينٍ trustworthy,
English - Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. .
हिंदी - उस का कहना माना जाता है, और वह अमानतदार है।.
Ayah 22
وَمَا And not صَاحِبُكُم (is) your companion بِمَجْنُونٍ mad.
English - And your companion is not [at all] mad. .
हिंदी - और तुम्हारा साथी दीवाना नहीं है।.
Ayah 23
وَلَقَدْ And certainly رَءَاهُ he saw him بِٱلْأُفُقِ in the horizon ٱلْمُبِينِ the clear.
English - And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. .
हिंदी - और बेशक उसने उसको खुले किनारे पर देखा है।.
Ayah 24
وَمَا And not هُوَ he (is) عَلَى on ٱلْغَيْبِ the unseen بِضَنِينٍ a withholder.
English - And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. .
हिंदी - और वह ग़ैब की बातों को बताने में कंजूस नहीं है।.
Ayah 25
وَمَا And not هُوَ it بِقَوْلِ (is the) word شَيْطَٰنٍ (of) Shaitaan رَّجِيمٍ accursed.
English - And the Qur’an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. .
हिंदी - और न यह मरदूद शैतान की बात है।.
Ayah 26
فَأَيْنَ So where تَذْهَبُونَ are you going?
English - So where are you going? .
हिंदी - फिर तुम कहां जाते हो।.
Ayah 27
إِنْ Not هُوَ it إِلَّا (is) except ذِكْرٌ a reminder لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ to the worlds,
English - It is not except a reminder to the worlds .
हिंदी - यह मानव जाती की याददिहानी के अलावा और कुछ नहीं है।.
Ayah 28
لِمَن For whoever شَآءَ wills مِنكُمْ among you أَن to يَسْتَقِيمَ take a straight way.
English - For whoever wills among you to take a right course. .
हिंदी - उस के लिए जो तुम में से सीधा रास्ता चलना चाहे।.
Ayah 29
وَمَا And not تَشَآءُونَ you will إِلَّآ except أَن that يَشَآءَ wills ٱللَّهُ Allah, رَبُّ Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - And you do not will except that Allah wills – Lord of the worlds. .
हिंदी - और तुम्हारे चाहने से कुछ नहीं होता जब तक सारे जहान का रब अल्लाह न चाहे।.
