Ayah 1
وَٱلنَّٰزِعَٰتِ By those who extract غَرْقًا violently,
English - By those [angels] who extract with violence .
हिंदी - क़सम है सख़्ती से खींचने वालों की।.
Ayah 2
وَٱلنَّٰشِطَٰتِ And those who draw out نَشْطًا gently,
English - And [by] those who remove with ease .
हिंदी - और धीरे से निकालने वालों की।.
Ayah 3
وَٱلسَّٰبِحَٰتِ And those who glide سَبْحًا swimming,
English - And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming .
हिंदी - और तेज़ी से तैरने वालों की।.
Ayah 4
فَٱلسَّٰبِقَٰتِ And those who race each other سَبْقًا (in) a race,
English - And those who race each other in a race .
हिंदी - फिर तेज़ी से दौड़ने वालों की।.
Ayah 5
فَٱلْمُدَبِّرَٰتِ And those who arrange أَمْرًا (the) matter.
English - And those who arrange [each] matter, .
हिंदी - फिर मामलों का इन्तिज़ाम करने वालों की।.
Ayah 6
يَوْمَ (The) Day تَرْجُفُ will quake ٱلرَّاجِفَةُ the quaking one,
English - On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], .
हिंदी - जिस दिन भूकम्प हिला कर रख देगा।.
Ayah 7
تَتْبَعُهَا Follows it ٱلرَّادِفَةُ the subsequent,
English - There will follow it the subsequent [one]. .
हिंदी - और उस के पीछे आने वाली पीछे आएगी।.
Ayah 8
قُلُوبٌ Hearts, يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day, وَاجِفَةٌ will palpitate,
English - Hearts, that Day, will tremble, .
हिंदी - दिल उस दिन काँप रहे होंगे।.
Ayah 9
أَبْصَٰرُهَا Their eyes خَٰشِعَةٌ humbled.
English - Their eyes humbled. .
हिंदी - उनकी निगाहें झुकी हुई होंगी।.
Ayah 10
يَقُولُونَ They say, أَءِنَّا "Will we لَمَرْدُودُونَ indeed be returned فِى to ٱلْحَافِرَةِ the former state?
English - They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]? .
हिंदी - ये लोग कहते हैं, क्या हम पहली हालत में वापस किये जाएंगे?.
Ayah 11
أَءِذَا What! When كُنَّا we are عِظَٰمًا bones نَّخِرَةً decayed?"
English - Even if we should be decayed bones? .
हिंदी - क्या जब हम खोखली हड्डियां हो चुके होंगे?.
Ayah 12
قَالُوا۟ They say, تِلْكَ "This إِذًا then كَرَّةٌ (would be) a return خَاسِرَةٌ losing."
English - They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." .
हिंदी - कहते हैं कि यह लौटना तो घाटे का होगा।.
Ayah 13
فَإِنَّمَا Then only هِىَ it زَجْرَةٌ (will be) a shout وَٰحِدَةٌ single,
English - Indeed, it will be but one shout, .
हिंदी - हालांकि यह तो बस एक डांट होगी।.
Ayah 14
فَإِذَا And behold! هُم They بِٱلسَّاهِرَةِ (will be) awakened.
English - And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. .
हिंदी - वह उस वक़्त जागे हुए होंगे।.
Ayah 15
هَلْ Has أَتَىٰكَ (there) come to you حَدِيثُ (the) story مُوسَىٰٓ (of) Musa?
English - Has there reached you the story of Moses? – .
हिंदी - क्या तुम्हें मूसा की कहानी पहुँची?.
Ayah 16
إِذْ When نَادَىٰهُ called him رَبُّهُۥ his Lord بِٱلْوَادِ in the valley ٱلْمُقَدَّسِ the sacred طُوًى (of) Tuwa,
English - When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Ţuwa, .
हिंदी - जब उसके रब ने उसे तुवा की पवित्र घाटी में पुकारा था।.
Ayah 17
ٱذْهَبْ "Go إِلَىٰ to فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he طَغَىٰ (has) transgressed.
English - "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. .
हिंदी - फ़िरऔन के पास जाओ वह सरकश हो गया है।.
Ayah 18
فَقُلْ And say, هَل "Would لَّكَ [for] you إِلَىٰٓ [to] أَن [that] تَزَكَّىٰ purify yourself?
English - And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself .
हिंदी - तो कहो, क्या तू चाहता है की पवित्र हो जाए?.
Ayah 19
وَأَهْدِيَكَ And I will guide you إِلَىٰ to رَبِّكَ your Lord فَتَخْشَىٰ so you would fear."
English - And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" .
हिंदी - और मैं तुझे तेरे रब की तरफ़ राह दिखाउँ की तू डरे।.
Ayah 20
فَأَرَىٰهُ Then he showed him ٱلْءَايَةَ the sign ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ the great.
English - And he showed him the greatest sign, .
हिंदी - फिर उस ने उसको बड़ा चमत्कार दिखाया।.
Ayah 21
فَكَذَّبَ But he denied وَعَصَىٰ and disobeyed.
English - But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. .
हिंदी - मगर उस ने झुठला दिया और न माना।.
Ayah 22
ثُمَّ Then أَدْبَرَ he turned his back, يَسْعَىٰ striving,
English - Then he turned his back, striving. .
हिंदी - फिर उस ने अपना मुंह फेर लिया कोशिश करते हुए।.
Ayah 23
فَحَشَرَ And he gathered فَنَادَىٰ and called out,
English - And he gathered [his people] and called out .
हिंदी - फिर जमा किया, फिर पुकारा।.
Ayah 24
فَقَالَ Then he said, أَنَا۠ "I am رَبُّكُمُ your Lord, ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ the Most High."
English - And said, "I am your most exalted lord." .
हिंदी - तो कहा मैं तुम्हारा सब से बड़ा रब हू्ं।.
Ayah 25
فَأَخَذَهُ So seized him ٱللَّهُ Allah نَكَالَ (with) an exemplary punishment ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ (for) the last وَٱلْأُولَىٰٓ and the first.
English - So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. .
हिंदी - तो अल्लाह ने उसे बाद के और पहले के अज़ाब में पकड़ लिया।.
Ayah 26
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَعِبْرَةً surely (is) a lesson لِّمَن for whoever يَخْشَىٰٓ fears.
English - Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. .
हिंदी - बेशक इस में पाठ है, उसके लिए जो डरता है।.
Ayah 27
ءَأَنتُمْ Are you أَشَدُّ a more difficult خَلْقًا creation أَمِ or ٱلسَّمَآءُ the heaven. بَنَىٰهَا He constructed it?
English - Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it. .
हिंदी - क्या तुम लोगों को पैदा करना ज़्यादा मुश्किल है या आसमान को जिसे उस ने बनाया?.
Ayah 28
رَفَعَ He raised سَمْكَهَا its ceiling فَسَوَّىٰهَا and proportioned it.
English - He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. .
हिंदी - उस ने उसकी छत ऊँची की फिर उसे बराबर किया।.
Ayah 29
وَأَغْطَشَ And He darkened لَيْلَهَا its night وَأَخْرَجَ and brought out ضُحَىٰهَا its brightness.
English - And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. .
हिंदी - और उस की रात को अंधकारमय बनाया और उसके दिन को रौशन किया।.
Ayah 30
وَٱلْأَرْضَ And the earth بَعْدَ after ذَٰلِكَ that دَحَىٰهَآ He spread it.
English - And after that He spread the earth. .
हिंदी - और उसके बाद ज़मीन को फैलाया।.
Ayah 31
أَخْرَجَ He brought forth مِنْهَا from it, مَآءَهَا its water وَمَرْعَىٰهَا and its pasture,
English - He extracted from it its water and its pasture, .
हिंदी - उसी में से उसका पानी और उसका चारा निकाला ।.
Ayah 32
وَٱلْجِبَالَ And the mountains, أَرْسَىٰهَا He made them firm,
English - And the mountains He set firmly .
हिंदी - और पहाड़ों को उसमें गाड़ दिया।.
Ayah 33
مَتَٰعًا (As) a provision لَّكُمْ for you وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ and for your cattle.
English - As provision for you and your grazing livestock. .
हिंदी - ये सब तुम्हारे और तुम्हारे मवेशियों के फ़ायदे के लिए है।.
Ayah 34
فَإِذَا But when جَآءَتِ comes ٱلطَّآمَّةُ the Overwhelming Calamity ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ the great,
English - But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity – .
हिंदी - तो जब बड़ी मुसीबत आएगी।.
Ayah 35
يَوْمَ (The) Day يَتَذَكَّرُ will remember ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ man مَا what سَعَىٰ he strove (for),
English - The Day when man will remember that for which he strove, .
हिंदी - जिस दिन इंसान सब किया धरा याद करेगा।.
Ayah 36
وَبُرِّزَتِ And will be made manifest ٱلْجَحِيمُ the Hellfire لِمَن to (him) who يَرَىٰ sees,
English - And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see – .
हिंदी - और हर देखने वाले के लिए, जहन्नम ज़ाहिर कर दी जाएगी।.
Ayah 37
فَأَمَّا Then as for مَن (him) who طَغَىٰ transgressed,
English - So as for he who transgressed .
हिंदी - तो जिसने उल्लंघन किया।.
Ayah 38
وَءَاثَرَ And preferred ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world,
English - And preferred the life of the world, .
हिंदी - और दुनिया के जीवन को प्राथमिकता दी।.
Ayah 39
فَإِنَّ Then indeed, ٱلْجَحِيمَ the Hellfire, هِىَ it ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ (is) the refuge.
English - Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge. .
हिंदी - तो यक़ीनन जहन्नम ही ठिकाना है।.
Ayah 40
وَأَمَّا But as for مَنْ (him) who خَافَ feared مَقَامَ standing رَبِّهِۦ (before) his Lord, وَنَهَى and restrained ٱلنَّفْسَ his soul عَنِ from ٱلْهَوَىٰ the vain desires,
English - But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, .
हिंदी - मगर जो व्यक्ति अपने रब के सामने खड़े होने से डरा और जी को ख़्वाहिशों से रोकता था।.
Ayah 41
فَإِنَّ Then indeed, ٱلْجَنَّةَ Paradise - هِىَ it (is) ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ the refuge.
English - Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge. .
हिंदी - तो यक़ीनन जन्नत ही ठिकाना है।.
Ayah 42
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ They ask you عَنِ about ٱلسَّاعَةِ the Hour, أَيَّانَ when مُرْسَىٰهَا (is) its arrival?
English - They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? .
हिंदी - वह लोग आप से क़यामत के बारे में पूछते हैं की वह कब आएगी?.
Ayah 43
فِيمَ In what أَنتَ (are) you مِن [of] ذِكْرَىٰهَآ (to) mention it?
English - In what [position] are you that you should mention it? .
हिंदी - तुम्हारा क्या काम कि उसका समय बताओ।.
Ayah 44
إِلَىٰ To رَبِّكَ your Lord مُنتَهَىٰهَآ (is) its finality.
English - To your Lord is its finality. .
हिंदी - तुम्हारे रब को ही इस की ख़बर है।.
Ayah 45
إِنَّمَآ Only أَنتَ you مُنذِرُ (are) a warner مَن (for him) who يَخْشَىٰهَا fears it.
English - You are only a warner for those who fear it. .
हिंदी - तुम तो बस उन्हें सावधान करने वाले हो जो उस से डरते हैं।.
Ayah 46
كَأَنَّهُمْ As though they, يَوْمَ (the) Day يَرَوْنَهَا they see it, لَمْ not يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ they had remained إِلَّا except عَشِيَّةً an evening أَوْ or ضُحَىٰهَا a morning thereof.
English - It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. .
हिंदी - जिस दिन ये लोग उसे देख लेंगे तो इन्हें ऐसा महसूस होगा कि ये बस एक शाम या एक सुबह तक ठहरे हैं।.
