Ayah 1
هَلْ Has أَتَىٰ (there) come عَلَى upon ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ man حِينٌ a period مِّنَ of ٱلدَّهْرِ time لَمْ not يَكُن he was شَيْـًٔا a thing مَّذْكُورًا mentioned?
English - Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned? .
हिंदी - क्या इंसान पर ऐसा ज़माना नहीं गुज़रा है कि वह कोई ऐसी चीज़ न था जिसका उल्लेख किया जाता।.
Ayah 2
إِنَّا Indeed, We خَلَقْنَا [We] created ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ man مِن from نُّطْفَةٍ a semen-drop, أَمْشَاجٍ a mixture, نَّبْتَلِيهِ (that) We test him; فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ so We made (for) him سَمِيعًۢا hearing بَصِيرًا and sight.
English - Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing. .
हिंदी - बेशक हम ने इंसान को मिश्रित वीर्य से पैदा किया कि हम उसे आज़माएं तो हम ने उसे सुनता देखता बनाया।.
Ayah 3
إِنَّا Indeed, We هَدَيْنَٰهُ guided him ٱلسَّبِيلَ (to) the way إِمَّا whether شَاكِرًا (he) be grateful وَإِمَّا and whether كَفُورًا (he) be ungrateful.
English - Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful. .
हिंदी - बेशक हम ने उसे रास्ता दिखा दिया अब वह शुक्र करने वाला बने या नाशुक्रा।.
Ayah 4
إِنَّآ Indeed, We أَعْتَدْنَا [We] have prepared لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ for the disbelievers سَلَٰسِلَا۟ chains وَأَغْلَٰلًا and shackles وَسَعِيرًا and a Blazing Fire.
English - Indeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze. .
हिंदी - बेशक हमने काफ़िरों के लिए ज़ंजीर, तौक़ और दहकती हुई आग तैयार कर रखी है।.
Ayah 5
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْأَبْرَارَ the righteous يَشْرَبُونَ will drink مِن from كَأْسٍ a cup, كَانَ is مِزَاجُهَا its mixture كَافُورًا (of) Kafur,
English - Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kafūr, .
हिंदी - बेशक नेक बन्दे ऐसे जाम से पिएँगे जिस में काफ़ूर की मिलावट होगी।.
Ayah 6
عَيْنًا A spring - يَشْرَبُ will drink بِهَا from it عِبَادُ (the) slaves ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah; يُفَجِّرُونَهَا causing it to gush forth تَفْجِيرًا abundantly.
English - A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allah will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance]. .
हिंदी - यह एक चश्मा है जिस से अल्लाह के बन्दे पिएंगे, जिस से वह लोग भरपूर मात्रा में निकालेंगे।.
Ayah 7
يُوفُونَ They fulfill بِٱلنَّذْرِ the vows وَيَخَافُونَ and fear يَوْمًا a Day - كَانَ (which) is شَرُّهُۥ its evil مُسْتَطِيرًا widespread.
English - They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread. .
हिंदी - वह मन्नत पूरी करते हैं, और उस दिन से डरते हैं, जिसकी आफ़त फैली हुई होगी।.
Ayah 8
وَيُطْعِمُونَ And they feed ٱلطَّعَامَ the food عَلَىٰ in spite of حُبِّهِۦ love (for) it, مِسْكِينًا (to the) needy, وَيَتِيمًا and (the) orphan وَأَسِيرًا and (the) captive,
English - And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, .
हिंदी - और वह खाना खिलाते हैं बेसहारा, यतीम और क़ैदी को उस की मुहब्बत के बावजूद।.
Ayah 9
إِنَّمَا "Only نُطْعِمُكُمْ we feed you لِوَجْهِ for (the) Countenance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. لَا Not نُرِيدُ we desire مِنكُمْ from you جَزَآءً any reward وَلَا and not شُكُورًا thanks.
English - [Saying], "We feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude. .
हिंदी - हम तो तुम्हें बस अल्लाह की ख़ुशी के लिए खिलाते हैं, हम तुम से न बदला चाहते हैं और न शुक्रिया।.
Ayah 10
إِنَّا Indeed, we نَخَافُ fear مِن from رَّبِّنَا our Lord يَوْمًا a Day - عَبُوسًا harsh قَمْطَرِيرًا and distressful."
English - Indeed, We fear from our Lord a Day austere and distressful." .
हिंदी - बेशक हम अपने रब से उस दिन का डर रखते हैं जो मुँह बिगाड़ने वाला, बहुत सख़्त दिन होगा ।.
Ayah 11
فَوَقَىٰهُمُ But will protect them ٱللَّهُ Allah شَرَّ (from the) evil ذَٰلِكَ (of) that ٱلْيَوْمِ Day وَلَقَّىٰهُمْ and will cause them to meet نَضْرَةً radiance وَسُرُورًا and happiness.
English - So Allah will protect them from the evil of that Day and give them radiance and happiness .
हिंदी - तो अल्लाह उन्हें उस दिन की बुराई से बचा लेगा और उन्हें ताज़गी और ख़ुशी देगा ।.
Ayah 12
وَجَزَىٰهُم And will reward them بِمَا because صَبَرُوا۟ they were patient, جَنَّةً (with) a Garden وَحَرِيرًا and silk.
English - And will reward them for what they patiently endured [with] a garden [in Paradise] and silk [garments]. .
हिंदी - और उनके सब्र के बदले में उन्हें जन्नत और रेशमी कपड़े देगा।.
Ayah 13
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ Reclining فِيهَا therein عَلَى on ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ couches. لَا Not يَرَوْنَ they will see فِيهَا therein شَمْسًا sun وَلَا and not زَمْهَرِيرًا freezing cold.
English - [They will be] reclining therein on adorned couches. They will not see therein any [burning] sun or [freezing] cold. .
हिंदी - उसमें वह तख़्तों पर टेक लगाए होंगे, वह उसमें न तो सख़्त धूप देखेंगे और न ही सख़्त ठंड।.
Ayah 14
وَدَانِيَةً And near عَلَيْهِمْ above them ظِلَٰلُهَا (are) its shades وَذُلِّلَتْ and will hang low قُطُوفُهَا its cluster of fruits تَذْلِيلًا dangling low.
English - And near above them are its shades, and its [fruit] to be picked will be lowered in compliance. .
हिंदी - उन पर उस के साए झुके हुए होंगे और उसके फलों के गुच्छे उनके बहुत क़रीब होंगे।.
Ayah 15
وَيُطَافُ And will be circulated عَلَيْهِم among them بِـَٔانِيَةٍ vessels مِّن of فِضَّةٍ silver وَأَكْوَابٍ and cups كَانَتْ (that) are قَوَارِيرَا۠ (of) crystal.
English - And there will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups having been [created] clear [as glass], .
हिंदी - और उन के बीच चाँदी के बर्तन और शीशे के प्याले का दौर चल रहा होगा।.
Ayah 16
قَوَارِيرَا۟ Crystal-clear مِن of فِضَّةٍ silver. قَدَّرُوهَا They will determine its تَقْدِيرًا measure.
English - Clear glasses [made] from silver of which they have determined the measure. .
हिंदी - और शीशे चाँदी के होंगे जो ठीक अन्दाजे़ से बनाए गए हैं।.
Ayah 17
وَيُسْقَوْنَ And they will be given to drink فِيهَا therein كَأْسًا a cup - كَانَ is مِزَاجُهَا its mixture زَنجَبِيلًا (of) Zanjabil,
English - And they will be given to drink a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of ginger .
हिंदी - और वहाँ उन्हें ऐसा जाम पिलाया जाएगा जिसमें सोंठ की मिलावट होगी।.
Ayah 18
عَيْنًا A spring فِيهَا therein, تُسَمَّىٰ named سَلْسَبِيلًا Salsabil.
English - [From] a fountain within Paradise named Salsabeel. .
हिंदी - उस में एक चश्मा है जिस का नाम सलसबील है।.
Ayah 19
وَيَطُوفُ And will circulate عَلَيْهِمْ among them وِلْدَٰنٌ young boys مُّخَلَّدُونَ made eternal. إِذَا When رَأَيْتَهُمْ you see them, حَسِبْتَهُمْ you would think them لُؤْلُؤًا (to be) pearls مَّنثُورًا scattered.
English - There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls. .
हिंदी - और उन्के सामने हमेशा रहने वाले लड़के चक्कर लगा रहे होंगे। जब तुम उनको देखोगे तो समझोगे कि बिखरे हुए मोती हैं।.
Ayah 20
وَإِذَا And when رَأَيْتَ you look, ثَمَّ then رَأَيْتَ you will see نَعِيمًا blessings وَمُلْكًا and a kingdom كَبِيرًا great.
English - And when you look there [in Paradise], you will see pleasure and great dominion. .
हिंदी - और जब तुम देखोगे तो तुम्हें नेमत और बड़ी सलतनत दिखई देगी।.
Ayah 21
عَٰلِيَهُمْ Upon them ثِيَابُ (will be) garments سُندُسٍ (of) fine silk خُضْرٌ green وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ and heavy brocade. وَحُلُّوٓا۟ And they will be adorned أَسَاوِرَ (with) bracelets مِن of فِضَّةٍ silver, وَسَقَىٰهُمْ and will give them to drink رَبُّهُمْ their Lord, شَرَابًا a drink طَهُورًا pure.
English - Upon the inhabitants will be green garments of fine silk and brocade. And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a purifying drink. .
हिंदी - उन के ऊपर हरे रेशमी कपड़े, और गाढ़े रेशमी कपड़े होंगे, और उनको चाँदी के कंगन पहनाए जाएँगे, और उन का रब उन्हें पाक शराब पिलाएगा।.
Ayah 22
إِنَّ "Indeed, هَٰذَا this كَانَ is لَكُمْ for you جَزَآءً a reward, وَكَانَ and has been سَعْيُكُم your effort مَّشْكُورًا appreciated."
English - [And it will be said], "Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated." .
हिंदी - बेशक यह तुम्हारा बदला है, और तुम्हारी कोशिश क़द्र करने के योग्य है।.
Ayah 23
إِنَّا Indeed, We نَحْنُ [We] نَزَّلْنَا [We] revealed عَلَيْكَ to you ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran تَنزِيلًا progressively.
English - Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur’an progressively. .
हिंदी - बेशक हमने तुम पर क़़ुरान थोड़ा थोड़ा करके ऊतारा है।.
Ayah 24
فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient لِحُكْمِ for (the) Command رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord وَلَا and (do) not تُطِعْ obey مِنْهُمْ from them ءَاثِمًا any sinner أَوْ or كَفُورًا disbeliever.
English - So be patient for the decision of your Lord and do not obey from among them a sinner or ungrateful [disbeliever]. .
हिंदी - आप अपने रब के फै़सले पर सब्र करें, और इसमें से किसी गुनाहगार और नाशुक्रे का कहा ना मानें ।.
Ayah 25
وَٱذْكُرِ And remember ٱسْمَ (the) name رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord بُكْرَةً morning وَأَصِيلًا and evening.
English - And mention the name of your Lord [in prayer] morning and evening .
हिंदी - और आप अपने रब का नाम सुबह और शाम याद करते रहें।.
Ayah 26
وَمِنَ And of ٱلَّيْلِ the night فَٱسْجُدْ prostrate لَهُۥ to Him, وَسَبِّحْهُ and glorify Him لَيْلًا a night طَوِيلًا long.
English - And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt Him a long [part of the] night. .
हिंदी - और रात में उसेे सजदा करें, और रात के बड़े हिस्से में उस की महिमा करें।.
Ayah 27
إِنَّ Indeed, هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these يُحِبُّونَ love ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ the immediate, وَيَذَرُونَ and leave وَرَآءَهُمْ behind them يَوْمًا a Day ثَقِيلًا grave.
English - Indeed, these [disbelievers] love the immediate and leave behind them a grave Day. .
हिंदी - यह लोग यकीन्न दुनिया को पसन्द करते हैं, और अपने पीछे भारी दिन को छोड़ देते हैं।.
Ayah 28
نَّحْنُ We, خَلَقْنَٰهُمْ created them وَشَدَدْنَآ and We strengthened أَسْرَهُمْ their forms, وَإِذَا and when شِئْنَا We will, بَدَّلْنَآ We can change أَمْثَٰلَهُمْ their likeness[es] تَبْدِيلًا (with) a change.
English - We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration. .
हिंदी - हमने उन्हें पैदा किया, और इन्के जोड़ बन्द मज़बूत किए, और हम जब चाहें उन जैसे दूसरों को बदल कर ले आएँ।.
Ayah 29
إِنَّ Indeed, هَٰذِهِۦ this تَذْكِرَةٌ (is) a reminder, فَمَن so whoever شَآءَ wills, ٱتَّخَذَ let him take إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِۦ his Lord سَبِيلًا a way.
English - Indeed, this is a reminder, so he who wills may take to his Lord a way. .
हिंदी - बेशक यह नसीहत है, तो जो चाहे अपने रब की तरफ़ राह अपना ले।.
Ayah 30
وَمَا And not تَشَآءُونَ you will إِلَّآ except أَن that يَشَآءَ wills ٱللَّهُ Allah. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah كَانَ is عَلِيمًا All-Knower, حَكِيمًا All-Wise.
English - And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise. .
हिंदी - और तुम नहीं चाह सकते सिवाय इसके कि अल्लाह चाहे, बेशक अल्लाह जानने वाला हिक्मत वाला है।.
Ayah 31
يُدْخِلُ He admits مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills فِى into رَحْمَتِهِۦ His mercy, وَٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ but (for) the wrongdoers, أَعَدَّ He has prepared لَهُمْ for them عَذَابًا a punishment أَلِيمًۢا painful.
English - He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers – He has prepared for them a painful punishment. .
हिंदी - वह जिसे चाहत है अपनी दयालुता में दाख़िल करता है, और ज़ालिमों के लिए उसने दर्दनाक अज़ाब तय्यार कर रखा है।.
