Ayah 1
تَبَٰرَكَ Blessed is ٱلَّذِى He بِيَدِهِ in Whose Hand ٱلْمُلْكُ (is) the Dominion, وَهُوَ and He عَلَىٰ (is) over كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful.
English - Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent – .
हिंदी - बाबरकत है वह जिस के हाथ में बादशाही हैए और वह हर चीज़ पर ताक़त रखता है।.
Ayah 2
ٱلَّذِى The One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلْمَوْتَ death وَٱلْحَيَوٰةَ and life لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ that He may test you, أَيُّكُمْ which of you أَحْسَنُ (is) best عَمَلًا (in) deed. وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلْغَفُورُ the Oft-Forgiving.
English - [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed – and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving – .
हिंदी - जिस ने मौत और ज़िन्दगी को पैदा किया ताकि तुम्हें आज़माए कि तुम में से कौन सबसे अच्छा काम करता हैए और वह ज़बरदसत माफ़ करने वाला है।.
Ayah 3
ٱلَّذِى The One Who خَلَقَ created سَبْعَ seven سَمَٰوَٰتٍ heavens طِبَاقًا one above another. مَّا Not تَرَىٰ you see فِى in خَلْقِ (the) creation ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious مِن any تَفَٰوُتٍ fault. فَٱرْجِعِ So return ٱلْبَصَرَ the vision, هَلْ can تَرَىٰ you see مِن any فُطُورٍ flaw?
English - [And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks? .
हिंदी - जिस ने उपर नीचे सात आसमान बनाएए तुम रहमान की रचना में कोई कमी न पाओगेए फिर पलट कर देखो कहीं तुम्हें कोई दरार दिखई देती है।.
Ayah 4
ثُمَّ Then ٱرْجِعِ return ٱلْبَصَرَ the vision كَرَّتَيْنِ twice (again). يَنقَلِبْ Will return إِلَيْكَ to you ٱلْبَصَرُ the vision خَاسِئًا humbled وَهُوَ while it حَسِيرٌ (is) fatigued.
English - Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued. .
हिंदी - बार बार निगाह दौड़ाओ तुम्हारी निगाह थक कर और नाकाम पलट आएगी।.
Ayah 5
وَلَقَدْ And certainly زَيَّنَّا We have beautified ٱلسَّمَآءَ the heaven ٱلدُّنْيَا nearest بِمَصَٰبِيحَ with lamps, وَجَعَلْنَٰهَا and We have made them رُجُومًا (as) missiles لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِ for the devils, وَأَعْتَدْنَا and We have prepared لَهُمْ for them عَذَابَ punishment ٱلسَّعِيرِ (of) the Blaze.
English - And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. .
हिंदी - बेशक हमने क़रीब के आसमान को चिराग़ से सजाया है और हम ने उस को शैतानों के मारने का ज़रीआ भी बनाया हैए और हम ने उन के लिए जहन्नम का आज़ाब भी तय्यार कर रखा है।.
Ayah 6
وَلِلَّذِينَ And for those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved بِرَبِّهِمْ in their Lord عَذَابُ (is the) punishment جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell, وَبِئْسَ and wretched is ٱلْمَصِيرُ the destination.
English - And for those who disbelieved in their Lord is the punishment of Hell, and wretched is the destination. .
हिंदी - और जिन लोगों ने अपने रब का इनकार किया उनके लिए जहन्नम का अज़ाब है वह बुरा ठिकाना है।.
Ayah 7
إِذَآ When أُلْقُوا۟ they are thrown فِيهَا therein, سَمِعُوا۟ they will hear لَهَا from it شَهِيقًا an inhaling وَهِىَ while it تَفُورُ boils up.
English - When they are thrown into it, they hear from it a [dreadful] inhaling while it boils up. .
हिंदी - जब वह उस में ड़ाले ज़ाएँगे तो उस के दहाड़ने की आवाज़ सुनेंगेए और वह ऊबाल मार रही होगी।.
Ayah 8
تَكَادُ It almost تَمَيَّزُ bursts مِنَ from ٱلْغَيْظِ rage. كُلَّمَآ Every time أُلْقِىَ is thrown فِيهَا therein فَوْجٌ a group, سَأَلَهُمْ (will) ask them خَزَنَتُهَآ its keepers, أَلَمْ "Did not يَأْتِكُمْ come to you نَذِيرٌ a warner?"
English - It almost bursts with rage. Every time a company is thrown into it, its keepers ask them, "Did there not come to you a warner?" .
हिंदी - करीब है कि जोश से फट पड़े जब भी उस में कोई गिरोह डाला जाएगा उन से उस के दारोगा पूछेंगे कि क्या तूम्हारे पास कोई आगाह करने वाला नहीं आया था घ्.
Ayah 9
قَالُوا۟ They will say بَلَىٰ "Yes, قَدْ indeed جَآءَنَا came to us نَذِيرٌ a warner, فَكَذَّبْنَا but we denied وَقُلْنَا and we said, مَا "Not نَزَّلَ has sent down ٱللَّهُ Allah مِن any شَىْءٍ thing. إِنْ Not أَنتُمْ you (are) إِلَّا but فِى in ضَلَٰلٍ error كَبِيرٍ great."
English - They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.' " .
हिंदी - वह कहेंगे हाँ हमारे पास आगाह करने वाला तो ज़रूर आया थाए मगर हमने उसको झुठला दिया और कहा कि खुदा ने तो कुछ उतारा ही नहींए तुम बड़ी गुमराही में पड़े हुए हो।.
Ayah 10
وَقَالُوا۟ And they will say, لَوْ "If كُنَّا we had نَسْمَعُ listened أَوْ or نَعْقِلُ reasoned, مَا not كُنَّا we (would) have been فِىٓ among أَصْحَٰبِ (the) companions ٱلسَّعِيرِ (of) the Blaze."
English - And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze." .
हिंदी - और व कहेंगे काश हम सुनते या समझतेए तो इस भड़कती हुई आग में न होते।.
Ayah 11
فَٱعْتَرَفُوا۟ Then they (will) confess بِذَنۢبِهِمْ their sins, فَسُحْقًا so away with لِّأَصْحَٰبِ (the) companions ٱلسَّعِيرِ (of) the Blaze.
English - And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. .
हिंदी - बस वह अपने गुनाह का इक़रार कर लेंगेए तो फिटकार है दोज़ख़ वालों पर।.
Ayah 12
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَخْشَوْنَ fear رَبَّهُم their Lord بِٱلْغَيْبِ unseen, لَهُم for them مَّغْفِرَةٌ (is) forgiveness وَأَجْرٌ and a reward كَبِيرٌ great.
English - Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. .
हिंदी - जो लोग बिन देखे अपने रब से डरते हैंए उनके लिए माफ़ी और बड़ा बदला है।.
Ayah 13
وَأَسِرُّوا۟ And conceal قَوْلَكُمْ your speech أَوِ or ٱجْهَرُوا۟ proclaim بِهِۦٓ it. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He عَلِيمٌۢ (is the) All-Knower بِذَاتِ of what (is in) ٱلصُّدُورِ the breasts.
English - And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. .
हिंदी - तुम चाहे चुपके से बात करो या उँची आवाज़ से, अल्लाह सीनों के अंदर की बातों को ख़ूब जानता है।.
Ayah 14
أَلَا Does not يَعْلَمُ know مَنْ (the One) Who خَلَقَ created? وَهُوَ And He ٱللَّطِيفُ (is) the Subtle, ٱلْخَبِيرُ the All-Aware.
English - Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted? .
हिंदी - क्या जिस ने पैदा किया वह न जानेगा घ् और वह बारीक बीनए ख़बर रखने वाला है।.
Ayah 15
هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth ذَلُولًا subservient, فَٱمْشُوا۟ so walk فِى in مَنَاكِبِهَا (the) paths thereof وَكُلُوا۟ and eat مِن of رِّزْقِهِۦ His provision, وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him ٱلنُّشُورُ (is) the Resurrection.
English - It is He who made the earth tame for you – so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision – and to Him is the resurrection. .
हिंदी - वही तो है जिसने तुम्हारे लिए ज़मीन को नरम बनाया ताकि तुम उस के कानधों पर चलो और उस के रिज़्क़ में से खाओ और उस की तरफ दोबारा ज़िन्दा हो कर जाना है।.
Ayah 16
ءَأَمِنتُم Do you feel secure مَّن (from Him) Who فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven أَن not يَخْسِفَ He will cause to swallow بِكُمُ you ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth فَإِذَا when هِىَ it تَمُورُ sways?
English - Do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not cause the earth to swallow you and suddenly it would sway? .
हिंदी - क्या तूम उस आसमान वाले से बे ख़ौफ़ हो कि वह तुम्हें ज़मीन में धंसादे और अचानक वह उलट पुलट करने लगे।.
Ayah 17
أَمْ Or أَمِنتُم do you feel secure مَّن (from Him) Who فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven, أَن that يُرْسِلَ He will send عَلَيْكُمْ against you حَاصِبًا a storm of stones? فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ Then you would know كَيْفَ how نَذِيرِ (was) My warning?
English - Or do you feel secure that He who [holds authority] in the heaven would not send against you a storm of stones? Then you would know how [severe] was My warning. .
हिंदी - या तुम इस बात से बेखौफ़ हो कि जो आसमान में है, तुम पर पथराव करने वाली हवा भेज़ दे, फिर तुम्हें मालूम हो जाएगा कि मेरा डराना कैसा है।.
Ayah 18
وَلَقَدْ And indeed, كَذَّبَ denied ٱلَّذِينَ those مِن from قَبْلِهِمْ before them, فَكَيْفَ and how كَانَ was نَكِيرِ My rejection.
English - And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach. .
हिंदी - और उन से पहले वालो ने भी झुटलाया, तो मेरी नाराज़गी कैसी थी ?.
Ayah 19
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see إِلَى [to] ٱلطَّيْرِ the birds فَوْقَهُمْ above them صَٰٓفَّٰتٍ spreading (their wings) وَيَقْبِضْنَ and folding? مَا Not يُمْسِكُهُنَّ holds them إِلَّا except ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ the Most Gracious. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He بِكُلِّ (is) of every شَىْءٍۭ thing بَصِيرٌ All-Seer.
English - Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. .
हिंदी - क्या वह अपने उपर परिन्दों को नहीं देखते जो परों को फेलाए रहते हैं, और समेट लेते हैं, रहमान के सिवा कोई नहीं जो उन्हें थामें हुए है, यकीन्न वह हर चीज़ पर निगाह रखने वाला है।.
Ayah 20
أَمَّنْ Who is هَٰذَا this, ٱلَّذِى the one, هُوَ he جُندٌ (is) an army لَّكُمْ for you يَنصُرُكُم to help you مِّن from دُونِ besides ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious? إِنِ Not ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ (are) the disbelievers إِلَّا but فِى in غُرُورٍ delusion.
English - Or who is it that could be an army for you to aid you other than the Most Merciful? The disbelievers are not but in delusion. .
हिंदी - भला कौन है रहमान के सिवा जो तुम्हारा लशकर बन कर तुम्हारी मदद करेए काफ़िर तो बडे़ धोके में हैं।.
Ayah 21
أَمَّنْ Who is هَٰذَا this, ٱلَّذِى the one, يَرْزُقُكُمْ to provide you إِنْ if أَمْسَكَ He withheld رِزْقَهُۥ His provision. بَل Nay, لَّجُّوا۟ they persist فِى in عُتُوٍّ pride وَنُفُورٍ and aversion.
English - Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion. .
हिंदी - या फिर कौन है जो तुम्हें रोज़ी दे सकता है। अगर वह अपनी रोज़ी रोक लेए मगर यह लोग सरकशी और नफ़रत ही पर अड़े हुए हैं।.
Ayah 22
أَفَمَن Then is he who يَمْشِى walks مُكِبًّا fallen عَلَىٰ on وَجْهِهِۦٓ his face أَهْدَىٰٓ better guided, أَمَّن or (he) who يَمْشِى walks سَوِيًّا upright عَلَىٰ on صِرَٰطٍ (the) Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍ Straight?
English - Then is one who walks fallen on his face better guided or one who walks erect on a straight path? .
हिंदी - क्या वह शख़्स जो अपने मुँह के बल औनधा चलता है ज़्यादा हिदायत याफ़ता है या वह जो सीधे रासते पर सीधा चलता है।.
Ayah 23
قُلْ Say, هُوَ "He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَنشَأَكُمْ produced you وَجَعَلَ and made لَكُمُ for you ٱلسَّمْعَ the hearing, وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ and the vision وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ and the feelings. قَلِيلًا Little مَّا (is) what تَشْكُرُونَ you give thanks."
English - Say, "It is He who has produced you and made for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful." .
हिंदी - कहो वही हैए जिसने तुम्हें पैदा कियाए तुम्हारे कान और आँख और दिल बनाएए मगर तुम बहुत कम शुक्र अदा करते हो।.
Ayah 24
قُلْ Say, هُوَ "He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who ذَرَأَكُمْ multiplied you فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him تُحْشَرُونَ you will be gathered."
English - Say, " It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered." .
हिंदी - कहो वही हैए जिसने तुम्हें ज़मीन में फैलायाए और उसी की तरफ जमा किए जाओगे।.
Ayah 25
وَيَقُولُونَ And they say, مَتَىٰ "When هَٰذَا (is) this ٱلْوَعْدُ promise, إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَٰدِقِينَ truthful?"
English - And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" .
हिंदी - और ये लोग कहते हैं, अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो बताओ यह वादा कब पूरा होगा।.
Ayah 26
قُلْ Say, إِنَّمَا "Only ٱلْعِلْمُ the knowledge عِندَ (is) with ٱللَّهِ Allah, وَإِنَّمَآ and only أَنَا۠ I am نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear."
English - Say, "The knowledge is only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner." .
हिंदी - कहो की इसका इल्म तो खुदा को हैए और मैं तो सिर्फ साफ साफ डराने वाला हूँ।.
Ayah 27
فَلَمَّا But when رَأَوْهُ they (will) see it زُلْفَةً approaching, سِيٓـَٔتْ (will be) distressed وُجُوهُ (the) faces ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved, وَقِيلَ and it will be said, هَٰذَا "This ٱلَّذِى (is) that which كُنتُم you used to بِهِۦ for it تَدَّعُونَ call."
English - But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed, and it will be said, "This is that for which you used to call." .
हिंदी - फिर जब ये उस को करीब देख लेंगे तो उन के चहरे बिगड़ ज़ाएंगे ज़िन्होंने इन्कार कियाए और कहा ज़ाएगा कि यही है वह जिसकी तुम माँग कर ररहे थे।.
Ayah 28
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتُمْ "Have you seen, إِنْ if أَهْلَكَنِىَ destroys me ٱللَّهُ Allah وَمَن and whoever مَّعِىَ (is) with me أَوْ or رَحِمَنَا has mercy upon us, فَمَن then who يُجِيرُ (can) protect ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers مِنْ from عَذَابٍ a punishment أَلِيمٍ painful."
English - Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered: whether Allah should cause my death and those with me or have mercy upon us, who can protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?" .
हिंदी - कहोए क्या तुम ने यह सोचा कि अगर अल्लाह मुझे और मेरे साथियों को तबाह कर दे या हम पर रहम करेए काफिरों को दुखद अज़ाब से कौन बचाएगा।.
Ayah 29
قُلْ Say, هُوَ "He ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ (is) the Most Gracious; ءَامَنَّا we believe بِهِۦ in Him, وَعَلَيْهِ and upon Him تَوَكَّلْنَا we put (our) trust. فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ So you will know مَنْ who هُوَ (is) it فِى (that is) in ضَلَٰلٍ error مُّبِينٍ clear."
English - Say, "He is the Most Merciful; we have believed in Him, and upon Him we have relied. And you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error." .
हिंदी - कहो वही बड़ा रहम करने वाला हैए उसी पर हम ईमान लाए हैं और उसी पर हमारा भरोसा है जल्द ही तुम्हें मालुम हो जाएगा कि खुली गुमराही में कौन है।.
Ayah 30
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتُمْ "Have you seen, إِنْ if أَصْبَحَ becomes مَآؤُكُمْ your water غَوْرًا sunken, فَمَن then who يَأْتِيكُم could bring you بِمَآءٍ water مَّعِينٍۭ flowing?"
English - Say, "Have you considered: if your water was to become sunken [into the earth], then who could bring you flowing water?" .
हिंदी - कहोए क्या तुम ने यह सोचा कि अगर तुम्हारा पानी तहों में चला जाएए तो कौन है जो तुम्हारे लिए साफ़ सुथरा पानी लाकर देगा।.
