Ayah 1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّبِىُّ Prophet! إِذَا When طَلَّقْتُمُ you divorce ٱلنِّسَآءَ [the] women, فَطَلِّقُوهُنَّ then divorce them لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ for their waiting period, وَأَحْصُوا۟ and keep count ٱلْعِدَّةَ (of) the waiting period, وَٱتَّقُوا۟ and fear ٱللَّهَ Allah, رَبَّكُمْ your Lord. لَا (Do) not تُخْرِجُوهُنَّ expel them مِنۢ from بُيُوتِهِنَّ their houses, وَلَا and not يَخْرُجْنَ they should leave إِلَّآ except أَن that يَأْتِينَ they commit بِفَٰحِشَةٍ an immorality مُّبَيِّنَةٍ clear. وَتِلْكَ And these حُدُودُ (are the) limits ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. وَمَن And whoever يَتَعَدَّ transgresses حُدُودَ (the) limits ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah فَقَدْ then certainly ظَلَمَ he has wronged نَفْسَهُۥ himself. لَا Not تَدْرِى you know; لَعَلَّ Perhaps ٱللَّهَ Allah يُحْدِثُ will bring about, بَعْدَ after ذَٰلِكَ that, أَمْرًا a matter.
English - O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women, divorce them for [the commencement of] their waiting period and keep count of the waiting period, and fear Allah, your Lord. Do not turn them out of their [husbands'] houses, nor should they [themselves] leave [during that period] unless they are committing a clear immorality. And those are the limits [set by] Allah. And whoever transgresses the limits of Allah has certainly wronged himself. You know not; perhaps Allah will bring about after that a [different] matter. .
हिंदी - एै रसूल जब तुम लोग अपनी बीवियों को तलाक़ दो तो उन की पाकी के दिनो में तलाक़ दो और उन दिनो की गिनती करो और अपने रब से डरो। तुम उन्हें उन केे घरों से न निकालो और न वह निकलें मगर यह कि वह खुली बेहयाई कर बैठें। और यह अल्लाह की तैय की हुई सीमाएं हैं और जो अल्लाह की सीमाओं से आगे निकला तो उसने अपने ऊपर जु़ल्म किया। तुम नहीं जानते शायद इसके बाद अल्लाह कोई रास्ता निकाल दे।.
Ayah 2
فَإِذَا Then when بَلَغْنَ they have reached أَجَلَهُنَّ their term, فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ then retain them بِمَعْرُوفٍ with kindness أَوْ or فَارِقُوهُنَّ part with them بِمَعْرُوفٍ with kindness. وَأَشْهِدُوا۟ And take witness ذَوَىْ two men عَدْلٍ just مِّنكُمْ among you وَأَقِيمُوا۟ and establish ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ the testimony لِلَّهِ for Allah. ذَٰلِكُمْ That يُوعَظُ is instructed, بِهِۦ with it, مَن whoever كَانَ [is] يُؤْمِنُ believes بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَٱلْيَوْمِ and the Day ٱلْءَاخِرِ the Last. وَمَن And whoever يَتَّقِ fears ٱللَّهَ Allah, يَجْعَل He will make لَّهُۥ for him مَخْرَجًا a way out,
English - And when they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or part with them according to acceptable terms. And bring to witness two just men from among you and establish the testimony for [the acceptance of] Allah. That is instructed to whoever should believe in Allah and the Last day. And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out .
हिंदी - तो जब इनकी मद्वत पूरी होने लगेए तो तुम उन्हें अच्छे तरीक़े से रोक लो या उन्हें अच्छे तरीक़े से जुदा कर दो और अपने में से दो इन्साफ पसन्द आदमियों को गवाह बना लो और अल्लाह के लिए गवाही को दुरूस्त रखो इसकी नसीहत उस को की जाती है जो अल्लाह और आख़िरत के दिन पर ईमान रखता हैए और जो कोई अल्लाह से डरता हैए वह उसके लिए रास्ता निकाल देगा।.
Ayah 3
وَيَرْزُقْهُ And He will provide for him مِنْ from حَيْثُ where لَا not يَحْتَسِبُ he thinks. وَمَن And whoever يَتَوَكَّلْ puts his trust عَلَى upon ٱللَّهِ Allah, فَهُوَ then He حَسْبُهُۥٓ (is) sufficient for him. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah بَٰلِغُ (will) accomplish أَمْرِهِۦ His purpose. قَدْ Indeed, جَعَلَ has set ٱللَّهُ Allah لِكُلِّ for every شَىْءٍ thing قَدْرًا a measure.
English - And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allah – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent. .
हिंदी - और उसे वहाँ से रोज़ी देगा जिसका उसे गुमान भी न होगा, और जो अल्लाह पर भरोसा करता है, तो वह उस के लिए काफ़ी है, बेशक अल्लाह अपना काम पूरा करके रहता है, बेशक अल्लाह ने हर चीज़ के लिए एक अंदाज़ा कर रखा है।.
Ayah 4
وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى And those who يَئِسْنَ have despaired مِنَ of ٱلْمَحِيضِ the menstruation مِن among نِّسَآئِكُمْ your women, إِنِ if ٱرْتَبْتُمْ you doubt, فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ then their waiting period ثَلَٰثَةُ (is) three أَشْهُرٍ months, وَٱلَّٰٓـِٔى and the ones who لَمْ not يَحِضْنَ [they] menstruated. وَأُو۟لَٰتُ And those who (are) ٱلْأَحْمَالِ pregnant, أَجَلُهُنَّ their term أَن until يَضَعْنَ they deliver حَمْلَهُنَّ their burdens. وَمَن And whoever يَتَّقِ fears ٱللَّهَ Allah, يَجْعَل He will make لَّهُۥ for him مِنْ of أَمْرِهِۦ his affair يُسْرًا ease.
English - And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women – if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him of his matter ease. .
हिंदी - और तुम्हारी औरतों में से जो माहवारी से मायूस हो चुकी हों अगर तुम्हें शक हो तो उनकी इद्वत तीन महीने है और उनकी भी जिन्हें अभी तक हैज़ न आया हो। और गर्भवती औरतों की इद्वत उनके बच्चा पैदा हो जाने तक है और जो अल्लाह का लेहाज़ रखेगा तो वह उस के लिए उस के काम को आसान कर देगा।.
Ayah 5
ذَٰلِكَ That أَمْرُ (is the) Command ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, أَنزَلَهُۥٓ which He has sent down إِلَيْكُمْ to you; وَمَن and whoever يَتَّقِ fears ٱللَّهَ Allah, يُكَفِّرْ He will remove عَنْهُ from him سَيِّـَٔاتِهِۦ his evil deeds وَيُعْظِمْ and make great لَهُۥٓ for him أَجْرًا (his) reward.
English - That is the command of Allah, which He has sent down to you; and whoever fears Allah – He will remove for him his misdeeds and make great for him his reward. .
हिंदी - यह अल्लाह का हुकम हैए जो उस ने तुम्हारे ऊपर उतारा है। जो अल्लाह से डरेगा अल्लाह उसकी बुराइयों को उससे दूर कर देगा और उस के बदले को बड़ा कर देगा।.
Ayah 6
أَسْكِنُوهُنَّ Lodge them مِنْ from حَيْثُ where سَكَنتُم you dwell, مِّن (out) of وُجْدِكُمْ your means وَلَا and (do) not تُضَآرُّوهُنَّ harm them لِتُضَيِّقُوا۟ to distress عَلَيْهِنَّ [on] them. وَإِن And if كُنَّ they are أُو۟لَٰتِ those (who are) حَمْلٍ pregnant, فَأَنفِقُوا۟ then spend عَلَيْهِنَّ on them حَتَّىٰ until يَضَعْنَ they deliver حَمْلَهُنَّ their burden. فَإِنْ Then if أَرْضَعْنَ they suckle لَكُمْ for you, فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ then give them أُجُورَهُنَّ their payment, وَأْتَمِرُوا۟ and consult بَيْنَكُم among yourselves بِمَعْرُوفٍ with kindness, وَإِن but if تَعَاسَرْتُمْ you disagree, فَسَتُرْضِعُ then may suckle لَهُۥٓ for him أُخْرَىٰ another (women).
English - Lodge them [in a section] of where you dwell out of your means and do not harm them in order to oppress them. And if they should be pregnant, then spend on them until they give birth. And if they breastfeed for you, then give them their payment and confer among yourselves in the acceptable way; but if you are in discord, then there may breastfeed for the father another woman. .
हिंदी - उनको अपनी हैसीयत के मुताबिक़ उसी जगह रखो जहाँ तुम रहते हो और तुम उन्हें तंग करने के लिए तकलीफ़ न पहुँचाओ और अगर वह गर्भवती हों तो उन पर उनके बच्चा पैदा होने तक ख़र्च करते रहो। फिर अगर वह तुम्हारे लिए बच्चे को दूध पिलाएँ तो उनकी उजरत उन्हें दो और भले तरीके़ से आपस में मशवरा कर लो और अगर तुम एक दूसरे को तंग करोगे तो कोई दोसरी औरत दूध पिलाएगी।.
Ayah 7
لِيُنفِقْ Let spend ذُو owner سَعَةٍ (of) ample means مِّن from سَعَتِهِۦ his ample means, وَمَن and (he) who, قُدِرَ is restricted عَلَيْهِ on him رِزْقُهُۥ his provision, فَلْيُنفِقْ let him spend مِمَّآ from what ءَاتَىٰهُ he has been given ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah. لَا Does not يُكَلِّفُ burden ٱللَّهُ Allah نَفْسًا any soul إِلَّا except مَآ (with) what ءَاتَىٰهَا He has given it. سَيَجْعَلُ Will bring about ٱللَّهُ Allah بَعْدَ after عُسْرٍ hardship يُسْرًا ease.
English - Let a man of wealth spend from his wealth, and he whose provision is restricted – let him spend from what Allah has given him. Allah does not charge a soul except [according to] what He has given it. Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease. .
हिंदी - चाहिए कि वुसअ़त या आमदनी वाला अपनी वुसअ़त के मुताबिक़ ख़र्च करे और जिस को रोज़ी कम दी गई हो वह उसी में से ख़र्च करे जो अल्लाह ने उसे दिया है। अल्लाह किसी शख़स को उतना ही ज़िम्मेदार बनाता है जितना उसने उस को दिया है अल्लाह जलद तंगी के बाद आसानी करेगा।.
Ayah 8
وَكَأَيِّن And how many مِّن of قَرْيَةٍ a town عَتَتْ rebelled عَنْ against أَمْرِ (the) Command رَبِّهَا (of) its Lord وَرُسُلِهِۦ and His Messengers, فَحَاسَبْنَٰهَا so We took it to account, حِسَابًا an account شَدِيدًا severe; وَعَذَّبْنَٰهَا and We punished it, عَذَابًا a punishment نُّكْرًا terrible.
English - And how many a city was insolent toward the command of its Lord and His messengers, so We took it to severe account and punished it with a terrible punishment. .
हिंदी - कितनी ही बस्तियाँ हैं जिन्होंने अपने रब और उसके रसूलों के हुक्म से बग़ावत की तो हम ने उनसे सख़ती के साथ हिसाब लिया और हम ने उन्हें बुरे अज़ाब की सज़ा दी।.
Ayah 9
فَذَاقَتْ So it tasted وَبَالَ (the bad) consequence أَمْرِهَا (of) its affair, وَكَانَ and was عَٰقِبَةُ (the) end أَمْرِهَا (of) its affair خُسْرًا loss.
English - And it tasted the bad consequence of its affair, and the outcome of its affair was loss. .
हिंदी - उन्होंने अपनी करतूतों का मज़ा चख लिया और उनका अंजाम बरबादी हुआ।.
Ayah 10
أَعَدَّ Has prepared ٱللَّهُ Allah لَهُمْ for them عَذَابًا a punishment شَدِيدًا severe. فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah, يَٰٓأُو۟لِى O men ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ (of) understanding, ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ have believed! قَدْ Indeed, أَنزَلَ Has sent down ٱللَّهُ Allah إِلَيْكُمْ to you ذِكْرًا a Message.
English - Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment; so fear Allah, O you of understanding who have believed. Allah has sent down to you the Qur’an. .
हिंदी - अल्लाह ने उन के लिए सख़त अज़ाब तैय्यार किया हैए अल्लाह से डरो ऐ अक़्ल वालो जो ईमान लाए बेशक अल्लाह ने तुम्हरे लिए नसीहत को उतार दिया है।.
Ayah 11
رَّسُولًا A Messenger يَتْلُوا۟ reciting عَلَيْكُمْ to you ءَايَٰتِ (the) Verses ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah مُبَيِّنَٰتٍ clear, لِّيُخْرِجَ that he may bring out ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous deeds مِنَ from ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ the darkness[es] إِلَى towards ٱلنُّورِ the light. وَمَن And whoever يُؤْمِنۢ believes بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَيَعْمَلْ and does صَٰلِحًا righteous deeds, يُدْخِلْهُ He will admit him جَنَّٰتٍ (into) Gardens تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers, خَٰلِدِينَ abiding فِيهَآ therein أَبَدًا forever. قَدْ Indeed, أَحْسَنَ Has been (granted) good ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah لَهُۥ for him رِزْقًا provision.
English - [He sent] a Messenger [Muhammad] reciting to you the distinct verses of Allah that He may bring out those who believe and do righteous deeds from darknesses into the light. And whoever believes in Allah and does righteousness – He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide therein forever. Allah will have perfected for him a provision. .
हिंदी - एक रसूलए जो तुम्हें अल्लाह की साफ़ साफ़ आयतों सूनाता है। ताकि ईमान लाने वालों और अच्छे काम करने वालों को अंधेरों से निकाल कर रोशनी में ले आए। जो कोई अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए और अच्छा काम करे अल्लाह उसे जन्नतों में दाख़िल करेगा जिनके नीचे नहरें बहती होंगी उस में हमेशा हमेश रहेंगे अल्लाह ने इन लोगों के लिए अच्छी रोज़ी रखी है।.
Ayah 12
ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) He Who خَلَقَ created سَبْعَ seven سَمَٰوَٰتٍ heavens وَمِنَ and of ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth, مِثْلَهُنَّ (the) like of them. يَتَنَزَّلُ Descends ٱلْأَمْرُ the command بَيْنَهُنَّ between them لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ that you may know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful. وَأَنَّ And that, ٱللَّهَ Allah قَدْ indeed, أَحَاطَ encompasses بِكُلِّ all شَىْءٍ things عِلْمًۢا (in) knowledge.
English - It is Allah who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them. [His] command descends among them so you may know that Allah is over all things competent and that Allah has encompassed all things in knowledge. .
हिंदी - अल्लाह ही तो हैए जिसने सात आसमान पैदा किए और उन्हीं के बराबर ज़मीन को भीए उन में अल्लाह का हुकम उतरता हैए ताकि तुम लोग जान लो कि अल्लाह हर चीज़ पर ताक़त रखता हैए और बेशक अल्लाह अपने इल्म से हर चीज़ को घेरे में लिए हुए है।.
