Ayah 1
إِذَا When جَآءَكَ come to you ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ the hypocrites, قَالُوا۟ they say, نَشْهَدُ "We testify إِنَّكَ that you لَرَسُولُ (are) surely (the) Messenger ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah." وَٱللَّهُ And Allah يَعْلَمُ knows إِنَّكَ that you لَرَسُولُهُۥ (are) surely His Messenger, وَٱللَّهُ and Allah يَشْهَدُ testifies إِنَّ that ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ the hypocrites لَكَٰذِبُونَ (are) surely liars.
English - When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, "We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah." And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars. .
हिंदी - जब मुनाफ़िक़ आप के पास आते हैं तो कहते हैंए हम गवाही देते हैं कि बेशक आप अल्लाह के रसूल हैंए और अल्लाह जानता है कि यक़ीनन आप उस के रसूल हैंए और अल्लाह गवाही देता है कि बेशक मुनाफ़िक़ झूठे हैं।.
Ayah 2
ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ They take أَيْمَٰنَهُمْ their oaths جُنَّةً (as) a cover, فَصَدُّوا۟ so they turn away عَن from سَبِيلِ (the) Way ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, [they] سَآءَ evil is مَا what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing. .
हिंदी - इन्होंने अपनी क़समों को ढाल बना लिया है, और वह दूसरों को रोकते हैं अल्लाह के रास्ते से, बेशक कैसी बुरी हरकतें हैं जो यह लोग कर रहे हैं।.
Ayah 3
ذَٰلِكَ That بِأَنَّهُمْ (is) because ءَامَنُوا۟ they believed, ثُمَّ then كَفَرُوا۟ they disbelieved; فَطُبِعَ so were sealed عَلَىٰ [upon] قُلُوبِهِمْ their hearts, فَهُمْ so they لَا (do) not يَفْقَهُونَ understand.
English - That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they do not understand. .
हिंदी - यह इस लिए है कि वह ईमान लाए फिर काफ़िर हो गए तो उनके दिलों पर मुहर लगा दी गयी तो यह लोग नहीं समझते।.
Ayah 4
وَإِذَا And when رَأَيْتَهُمْ you see them تُعْجِبُكَ pleases you أَجْسَامُهُمْ their bodies, وَإِن and if يَقُولُوا۟ they speak, تَسْمَعْ you listen لِقَوْلِهِمْ to their speech, كَأَنَّهُمْ as if they (were) خُشُبٌ pieces of wood مُّسَنَّدَةٌ propped up. يَحْسَبُونَ They think كُلَّ every صَيْحَةٍ shout عَلَيْهِمْ (is) against them. هُمُ They ٱلْعَدُوُّ (are) the enemy, فَٱحْذَرْهُمْ so beware of them. قَٰتَلَهُمُ May destroy them ٱللَّهُ Allah! أَنَّىٰ How يُؤْفَكُونَ are they deluded?
English - And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up – they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? .
हिंदी - और जब उन्हें देखो तो उनका डील डौल तुम्हें शानदार मालूम होगा और अगर वह बात करें तो तुम उन की बातें सुनते रह जाओए गोया कि वह लकड़ियां हैंए जो किसी सहारे लगाई हुई हैं वह हर चीख़ को अपने ख़िलाफ़ समझते हैं यही लोग दुश्मन हैं इनसे बच कर रहो अल्लाह की मार हो इन पर यह कहाँ उल्टे फिरे जा रहे हैं।.
Ayah 5
وَإِذَا And when قِيلَ it is said لَهُمْ to them, تَعَالَوْا۟ "Come, يَسْتَغْفِرْ will ask forgiveness لَكُمْ for you رَسُولُ (the) Messenger ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah." لَوَّوْا۟ They turn aside رُءُوسَهُمْ their heads وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ and you see them يَصُدُّونَ turning away وَهُم while they مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ (are) arrogant.
English - And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant. .
हिंदी - और जब उनसे कहा जाता है कि आओ ताकि अल्लाह का रसूल तुम्हारे लिए माफ़ी की दुआ करे, तो वह अपने सरों को फेर लेते हैं, और तुम उनको देखोगे कि घमंड के साथ मुँह फेर लेते हैं।.
Ayah 6
سَوَآءٌ (It) is same عَلَيْهِمْ for them أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ whether you ask forgiveness لَهُمْ for them أَمْ or لَمْ (do) not تَسْتَغْفِرْ ask forgiveness لَهُمْ for them. لَن Never يَغْفِرَ will forgive ٱللَّهُ Allah لَهُمْ [to] them. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide ٱلْقَوْمَ the people, ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ the defiantly disobedient.
English - It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. .
हिंदी - आप चाहें उनके लिए माफ़ी की दुआ करें या न करेंए उनके लिए बराबर हैंए अल्लाह हरगिज़ उन्हें माफ़ न करेगाए बेशक अल्लाह नाफ़रमान लोगों को हिदायत नहीं देता।.
Ayah 7
هُمُ They ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those who يَقُولُونَ say, لَا "(Do) not تُنفِقُوا۟ spend عَلَىٰ on مَنْ (those) who عِندَ (are) with رَسُولِ (the) Messenger ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah حَتَّىٰ until يَنفَضُّوا۟ they disband." وَلِلَّهِ And for Allah خَزَآئِنُ (are the) treasures ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth, وَلَٰكِنَّ but ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ the hypocrites لَا (do) not يَفْقَهُونَ understand.
English - They are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disband." And to Allah belongs the depositories of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand. .
हिंदी - यह वही लोग हैं जो कहते हैं कि रसूल के साथियों पर ख़र्च न करो ताकि यह बिखर जाऐं। हालांकि ज़मीन और आसमानों के ख़ज़ाने अल्लाह के हैं मगर मुनाफ़िक़ समझते नहीं हैं।.
Ayah 8
يَقُولُونَ They say, لَئِن "If رَّجَعْنَآ we return إِلَى to ٱلْمَدِينَةِ Al-Madinah, لَيُخْرِجَنَّ surely, will expel ٱلْأَعَزُّ the more honorable مِنْهَا from it ٱلْأَذَلَّ the more humble." وَلِلَّهِ But for Allah ٱلْعِزَّةُ (is) the honor وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ and for His Messenger وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ and for the believers, وَلَٰكِنَّ but ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ the hypocrites لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know.
English - They say, "If we return to al-Madīnah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know. .
हिंदी - यह कहते हैं कि अगर हम मदीना वापस पहंुचे, तो जो इज़्ज़त वाला है, वह बेइज़्ज़़त को वहाँ से निकालेगा, हालांकि इज़्ज़त तो अल्लाह और उसके रसूल और ईमान वालों के लिए है, मगर यह मुनाफ़िक़ लोग समझते नहीं हैं।.
Ayah 9
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلَّذِينَ you (who) ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Let) not تُلْهِكُمْ divert you أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ your wealth وَلَآ and not أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ your children عَن from ذِكْرِ (the) remembrance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. وَمَن And whoever يَفْعَلْ does ذَٰلِكَ that, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ (are) the losers.
English - O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that – then those are the losers. .
हिंदी - एै ईमान वालो! तुम्हारा माल और तुम्हारी औलाद तुम्हें अल्लाह की याद से ग़ाफिल न कर दें जो एैसा करेगा वही घाटे में रहने वाले है।.
Ayah 10
وَأَنفِقُوا۟ And spend مِن from مَّا what رَزَقْنَٰكُم We have provided you مِّن from قَبْلِ before أَن [that] يَأْتِىَ comes أَحَدَكُمُ (to) one of you ٱلْمَوْتُ the death فَيَقُولَ and he says, رَبِّ "My Lord! لَوْلَآ Why not أَخَّرْتَنِىٓ You delay me إِلَىٰٓ for أَجَلٍ a term قَرِيبٍ near فَأَصَّدَّقَ so I would give charity وَأَكُن and be مِّنَ among ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous."
English - And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous." .
हिंदी - और हम ने तुम्हें जो दिया हैए उस में से ख़र्च करो इस से पहले कि तुम में से किसी को मौत आ जाएए तो वह कहे कि एै मेरे रबए क्यों न तू ने मुझे थोड़ी सी मोहलत और दे दीए ताकि मैं सदक़ा ;दानद्ध देता और अच्छे लोगों में हो जाता।.
Ayah 11
وَلَن But never يُؤَخِّرَ will (be) delayed ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah نَفْسًا a soul إِذَا when جَآءَ has come أَجَلُهَا its term. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah خَبِيرٌۢ (is) All-Aware بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do.
English - But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do. .
हिंदी - और जब किसी कि मौत आ जाती है, तो ख़ुदा उसको हरगिज़ मोहलत नहीं देता और जो कुछ तुम करते हो अल्लाह उसकी ख़बर रख़ता है।.
