Ayah 1
ٱلْحَمْدُ (All) the praises and thanks لِلَّهِ (be) to Allah, ٱلَّذِى the One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَجَعَلَ and made ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ the darkness[es] وَٱلنُّورَ and the light. ثُمَّ Then ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved بِرَبِّهِمْ in their Lord يَعْدِلُونَ equate others with Him.
English - [All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord. .
हिंदी - सब तारीफ़ अल्लाह के लिए है जिसने आसमानों और ज़मीन को पैदा किया और अंधेरे और रौशनी बनाई फिर भी जो काफ़िर हो गए, वह अपने पालनहार के बराबर ठहराते हैं।.
Ayah 2
هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَكُم created you مِّن from طِينٍ clay ثُمَّ then قَضَىٰٓ He decreed أَجَلًا a term - وَأَجَلٌ and a term مُّسَمًّى specified عِندَهُۥ with Him, ثُمَّ yet أَنتُمْ you تَمْتَرُونَ doubt.
English - It is He who created you from clay and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute. .
हिंदी - वही है जिसने तुमको मिट्टी से पैदा किया फिर एक वक़्त तय कर दिया और एक मुक़र्रर वक़्त उसके पास है, फिर भी तुम शक करते हो।.
Ayah 3
وَهُوَ And He ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah فِى in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَفِى and in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth. يَعْلَمُ He knows سِرَّكُمْ your secret وَجَهْرَكُمْ and what you make public وَيَعْلَمُ and He knows مَا what تَكْسِبُونَ you earn.
English - And He is Allah, [the only deity] in the heavens and the earth. He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn. .
हिंदी - और वह अल्लाह है आसमानों में और ज़मीन में, वह तुम्हारे ढ़के और खुले को जानता है और वह जानता है जो तुम कमाते हो।.
Ayah 4
وَمَا And not تَأْتِيهِم comes to them مِّنْ [of] ءَايَةٍ any sign مِّنْ from ءَايَٰتِ (the) Signs رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord إِلَّا but كَانُوا۟ they are عَنْهَا from it مُعْرِضِينَ turning away.
English - And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they turn away therefrom. .
हिंदी - और उनके पास उनके रब की आयतोें में से कोई आयत नहीं आती मगर वह उससे मुंह फेर लेने वाले थे।.
Ayah 5
فَقَدْ Then indeed, كَذَّبُوا۟ they denied بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth لَمَّا when جَآءَهُمْ it came to them, فَسَوْفَ but soon يَأْتِيهِمْ will come to them أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ news مَا (of) what كَانُوا۟ they used to بِهِۦ [at it] يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ mock.
English - For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule. .
हिंदी - फिर जब उनके पास हक़ आया तो उन्होंने उसे झुठला दिया तो उनके पास उसकी ख़बरें आ जाएंगी जिसका वह मज़्ााक़ उड़ाया करते थे।.
Ayah 6
أَلَمْ Did not يَرَوْا۟ they see كَمْ how many أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed مِن from قَبْلِهِم before them مِّن of قَرْنٍ generations مَّكَّنَّٰهُمْ We had established them فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth مَا what لَمْ not نُمَكِّن We (have) established لَّكُمْ for you? وَأَرْسَلْنَا And We sent ٱلسَّمَآءَ (rain from) the sky عَلَيْهِم upon them مِّدْرَارًا showering abundantly وَجَعَلْنَا and We made ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ the rivers تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهِمْ underneath them. فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُم Then We destroyed them بِذُنُوبِهِمْ for their sins وَأَنشَأْنَا and We raised مِنۢ from بَعْدِهِمْ after them قَرْنًا generations, ءَاخَرِينَ other.
English - Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others. .
हिंदी - क्या उन्हें नहीं दिखा कि हमने उनसे पहले कितने गिरोह हलाक कर डाले जिन्हें हम ने ज़मीन में वह ताक़त दी जो हम ने तुम्हें नहीं दी और हमने आसमान से उन पर तेज़्ा पानी बरसाया और उनके नीचे बहती हुई नहरें बनाईं फिर हम ने उनके गुनाहों की वजह से उन्हें हलाक कर डाला और उनके बाद एक दूसरे गिरोह को पैदा किया।.
Ayah 7
وَلَوْ And (even) if نَزَّلْنَا We (had) sent down عَلَيْكَ to you كِتَٰبًا a written Scripture فِى in قِرْطَاسٍ a parchment فَلَمَسُوهُ and they touched it بِأَيْدِيهِمْ with their hands, لَقَالَ surely (would) have said ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieved, إِنْ "Not هَٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّا but سِحْرٌ magic, مُّبِينٌ clear."
English - And even if We had sent down to you, [O Muhammad], a written scripture on a page and they touched it with their hands, the disbelievers would say, "This is not but obvious magic." .
हिंदी - और अगर हम कागज़ पर किताब (भी) तुम पर उतारते फिर वह लोग उसे अपने हाथों से छू भी लेते फिर भी काफ़िर कहते कि यह नहीं है मगर खुला हुआ जादू।.
Ayah 8
وَقَالُوا۟ And they said, لَوْلَآ "Why has not been أُنزِلَ sent down عَلَيْهِ to him مَلَكٌ an Angel?" وَلَوْ And if أَنزَلْنَا We (had) sent down مَلَكًا an Angel, لَّقُضِىَ surely (would) have been decided ٱلْأَمْرُ the matter ثُمَّ then لَا no يُنظَرُونَ respite would have been granted to them.
English - And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved. .
हिंदी - और कहते कि उस पर कोई फरिश्ता क्यों नहीं उतारा गया और अगर हम फरिश्ता भेज देते तो (उनका) फ़ैसला हो जाता, फिर उन्हें मोहलत भी न दी जाती।.
Ayah 9
وَلَوْ And if جَعَلْنَٰهُ We had made him مَلَكًا an Angel, لَّجَعَلْنَٰهُ certainly We (would) have made him رَجُلًا a man, وَلَلَبَسْنَا and certainly We (would) have obscured عَلَيْهِم to them مَّا what يَلْبِسُونَ they are obscuring.
English - And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves. .
हिंदी - और अगर हम उसे फरिश्ता बनाते तो उसे भी मर्द की सूरत में बनाते और जो शक यह लोग कर रहे हैं वही शक हम उन पर डाल देते।.
Ayah 10
وَلَقَدِ And indeed ٱسْتُهْزِئَ were mocked بِرُسُلٍ Messengers مِّن from قَبْلِكَ before you فَحَاقَ but surrounded بِٱلَّذِينَ those who سَخِرُوا۟ scoffed مِنْهُم of them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they used to بِهِۦ [at it] يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ mock.
English - And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule. .
हिंदी - और तुम से पहले (भी) रसूलों का मज़ाक़ उड़ाया गया तो जो लोग मज़ाक़ उड़ाते थे उनको उस (अज़ाब) ने घेर लिया जिसकी यह लोग हंसी उड़ाते थे।.
Ayah 11
قُلْ Say, سِيرُوا۟ "Travel فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth ثُمَّ and ٱنظُرُوا۟ see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ (of) the rejecters."
English - Say, "Travel through the land; then observe how was the end of the deniers." .
हिंदी - कहो कि ज़मीन पर चलो फिरो फिर देखो कि झुठलाने वालांे का कैसा अंजाम हुआ।.
Ayah 12
قُل Say, لِّمَن "To whom (belongs) مَّا what فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth?" قُل Say, لِّلَّهِ "To Allah." كَتَبَ He has decreed عَلَىٰ upon نَفْسِهِ Himself ٱلرَّحْمَةَ the Mercy. لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ Surely He will assemble you إِلَىٰ on يَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection, لَا (there is) no رَيْبَ doubt فِيهِ about it. ٱلَّذِينَ Those who خَسِرُوٓا۟ have lost أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves, فَهُمْ then they لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe.
English - Say, "To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth?" Say, "To Allah." He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose themselves [that Day] do not believe. .
हिंदी - कहो कि जो कुछ आसमानों और ज़मीन में है किसका है तुम ही कह दो कि अल्लाह का है उसने अपनी ज़ात पर मेहरबानी लिख ली है वह तुम सब को क़यामत के दिन जिसके आने मे कुछ शक नहीं ज़रूर जमा करेगा। जिन लोगों ने अपना नुक़सान किया वह तो ईमान नहीं लाएंगे।.
Ayah 13
وَلَهُۥ And for Him مَا (is) whatever سَكَنَ dwells فِى in ٱلَّيْلِ the night وَٱلنَّهَارِ and the day, وَهُوَ and He ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) All-Hearing, ٱلْعَلِيمُ All-Knowing.
English - And to Him belongs that which reposes by night and by day, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - और जो कुछ रात में और दिन में रहता है (सब) उसी का है और वही सुनने वाला और जानने वाला है।.
Ayah 14
قُلْ Say, أَغَيْرَ "Is it other than ٱللَّهِ Allah أَتَّخِذُ I (should) take وَلِيًّا (as) a protector, فَاطِرِ Creator, ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth, وَهُوَ while (it is) He يُطْعِمُ Who feeds وَلَا and not يُطْعَمُ He is fed?" قُلْ Say, إِنِّىٓ "Indeed I أُمِرْتُ [I] am commanded أَنْ that أَكُونَ I be أَوَّلَ (the) first مَنْ who أَسْلَمَ submits (to Allah) وَلَا and not تَكُونَنَّ be مِنَ of ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists."
English - Say, "Is it other than Allah I should take as a protector, Creator of the heavens and the earth, while it is He who feeds and is not fed?" Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first [among you] who submit [to Allah] and [was commanded], 'Do not ever be of the polytheists.' " .
हिंदी - तुम कह दो कि क्या अल्लाह को जो आसमानों और ज़मीन का पैदा करने वाला है, छोड़ कर दूसरे को मैं मददगार बनाऊं और वही खिलाता है और उसे नहीं खिलाया जाता, कह दो कि मुझे हुक्म दिया गया है कि मैं सब से पहले इस्लाम लाने वाला बनूँ और यह कि तुम साझी ठहराने वालों में से न होना।.
Ayah 15
قُلْ Say, إِنِّىٓ "Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear إِنْ if عَصَيْتُ I disobeyed رَبِّى my Lord, عَذَابَ punishment يَوْمٍ (of) a Day, عَظِيمٍ Mighty."
English - Say, "Indeed I fear, if I should disobey my Lord, the punishment of a tremendous Day." .
हिंदी - कहो कि अगर मैं अपने रब की नाफ़रमानी करुँ तो मैं एक बड़े (सख़्त) दिन के अज़ाब से डरता हूँ।.
Ayah 16
مَّن Whoever يُصْرَفْ is averted عَنْهُ from it يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day فَقَدْ then surely رَحِمَهُۥ He had Mercy on him. وَذَٰلِكَ And that ٱلْفَوْزُ (is) the success ٱلْمُبِينُ (the) clear.
English - He from whom it is averted that Day – [Allah] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment. .
हिंदी - उस दिन जिस से अज़ाब टल गया तो उस ने उस पर रहम कर दिया और यही खुली कामयाबी है।.
Ayah 17
وَإِن And if يَمْسَسْكَ touches you ٱللَّهُ Allah بِضُرٍّ with affliction فَلَا then no كَاشِفَ remover لَهُۥٓ of it إِلَّا except هُوَ Him. وَإِن And if يَمْسَسْكَ He touches you بِخَيْرٍ with good, فَهُوَ then He عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful.
English - And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He touches you with good – then He is over all things competent. .
हिंदी - और अगर अल्लाह तुम को किसी क़िस्म की तकलीफ़ पहुचाए तो उसके सिवा कोई उसका दफ़ा करने वाला नहीं है और अगर तुम्हें कुछ फायदा पहुंचाए तो वह हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है।.
Ayah 18
وَهُوَ And He ٱلْقَاهِرُ (is) the Subjugator فَوْقَ over عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves. وَهُوَ And He ٱلْحَكِيمُ (is) the All-Wise, ٱلْخَبِيرُ the All-Aware.
English - And He is the subjugator over His servants. And He is the Wise, the Acquainted [with all]. .
हिंदी - वही अपने बंदों पर ग़ालिब है और वह बहुत ख़बरदार और ख़ूब सूझ बूझ वाला है।.
Ayah 19
قُلْ Say, أَىُّ "What شَىْءٍ thing أَكْبَرُ (is) greatest شَهَٰدَةً (as) a testimony?" قُلِ Say, ٱللَّهُ "Allah شَهِيدٌۢ (is) Witness بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَكُمْ and between you, وَأُوحِىَ and has been revealed إِلَىَّ to me هَٰذَا this ٱلْقُرْءَانُ [the] Quran لِأُنذِرَكُم that I may warn you بِهِۦ with it وَمَنۢ and whoever بَلَغَ it reaches. أَئِنَّكُمْ Do you truly لَتَشْهَدُونَ testify أَنَّ that مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ءَالِهَةً (there are) gods أُخْرَىٰ other?" قُل Say, لَّآ Not أَشْهَدُ (do) I testify. قُلْ Say, إِنَّمَا "Only هُوَ He إِلَٰهٌ (is) God, وَٰحِدٌ One. وَإِنَّنِى and indeed, I am بَرِىٓءٌ free مِّمَّا of what تُشْرِكُونَ you associate (with Him).
English - Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "Allah is witness between me and you. And this Qur’an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that with Allah there are other deities?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is but one God, and indeed, I am free of what you associate [with Him]." .
हिंदी - कहो कि गवाही में सबसे बढ़के कौन सी चीज़ है तुम ही कह दो कि मेरे और तुम्हारे बीच अल्लाह गवाह है और मेरे पास यह क़ुरान वही (प्रकाशना) के तौर पर इसलिए नाज़िल किया गया ताकि मैं तुम्हें और जिसे (उसकी) ख़बर पहुँचे उसके ज़रिए से डराऊँ क्या तुम यक़ीनन यह गवाही दे सकते हो कि अल्लाह के साथ और दूसरे माबूद भी हैं? तुम कह दो कि मैं उसकी गवाही नहीं देता। कहो कि वह तो बस एक ही अल्लाह है और जिन चीज़ों को तुम साझी ठहराते हो मैं उनसे बरी हूँ ।.
Ayah 20
ٱلَّذِينَ Those (to) whom ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ We have given them ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ they recognize him كَمَا as يَعْرِفُونَ they recognize أَبْنَآءَهُمُ their sons. ٱلَّذِينَ Those who خَسِرُوٓا۟ lost أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves فَهُمْ then they لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe.
English - Those to whom We have given the Scripture recognize it as they recognize their [own] sons. Those who will lose themselves [in the Hereafter] do not believe. .
हिंदी - जिन लोगों को हमने किताब अता फरमाई वह जिस तरह अपने बाल बच्चों को पहचानते हैं उसी तरह उसे (मोहम्मद को) भी पहचानते हैं। जिन लोगों ने अपना नुक़सान किया वह तो ईमान नहीं लाएंगे।.
Ayah 21
وَمَنْ And who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّنِ than (he) who ٱفْتَرَىٰ invents عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie أَوْ or كَذَّبَ rejects بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ His Signs? إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, لَا not يُفْلِحُ will be successful ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers.
English - And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed. .
हिंदी - और जो अल्लाह पर झूठ बांधे या उसकी आयतों को झुठलाए, उससे बड़ा ज़ालिम कौन होगा। बेशक ज़ालिम कामयाब नहीं होंगे।.
Ayah 22
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day نَحْشُرُهُمْ We will gather them جَمِيعًا all, ثُمَّ then نَقُولُ We will say لِلَّذِينَ to those who أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ associated others with Allah, أَيْنَ "Where (are) شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ your partners, ٱلَّذِينَ those whom كُنتُمْ you used to تَزْعُمُونَ claim?"
English - And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day We will gather them all together; then We will say to those who associated others with Allah, "Where are your 'partners' that you used to claim [with Him]?" .
हिंदी - और जिस दिन हम उन सबको जमा करेंगे फिर जिन लोगों ने शिर्क किया हम उनसे पूछेंगे कि कहाँ हैं तुम्हारे वह शरीक जिन्हें तुम ख़्याल करते थे।.
Ayah 23
ثُمَّ Then لَمْ not تَكُن will be فِتْنَتُهُمْ (for) them a plea إِلَّآ except أَن that قَالُوا۟ they say, وَٱللَّهِ "By Allah, رَبِّنَا our Lord, مَا not كُنَّا we were مُشْرِكِينَ those who associated others (with Allah)."
English - Then there will be no [excuse upon] examination except they will say, "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who associated." .
हिंदी - फिर उनका फ़ित्ना नहीं रहेगा सिवाए यह की वह कहेेंगे क़सम है उस अल्लाह की जो हमारा पालने वाला है हम (किसी को) उसका शरीक नहीं ठहराते थे।.
Ayah 24
ٱنظُرْ Look كَيْفَ how كَذَبُوا۟ they lied عَلَىٰٓ against أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves. وَضَلَّ And lost عَنْهُم from them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَفْتَرُونَ invent.
English - See how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them will be what they used to invent. .
हिंदी - देखो यह लोग अपने ही ऊपर किस तरह झूठ बोलने लगे और यह लोग जो झूठ बांधते थे वह उनसे ग़ायब हो गया।.
Ayah 25
وَمِنْهُم And among them مَّن (are those) who يَسْتَمِعُ listen إِلَيْكَ to you, وَجَعَلْنَا but We have placed عَلَىٰ over قُلُوبِهِمْ their hearts أَكِنَّةً coverings أَن lest يَفْقَهُوهُ they understand it, وَفِىٓ and in ءَاذَانِهِمْ their ears وَقْرًا deafness. وَإِن And if يَرَوْا۟ they see كُلَّ every ءَايَةٍ sign لَّا not يُؤْمِنُوا۟ will they believe بِهَا in it. حَتَّىٰٓ Until, إِذَا when جَآءُوكَ they come to you يُجَٰدِلُونَكَ and argue with you يَقُولُ say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieved, إِنْ "Not هَٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّآ but أَسَٰطِيرُ (the) tales ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people)."
English - And among them are those who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you, those who disbelieve say, "This is not but legends of the former peoples." .
हिंदी - और कुछ उनमें के ऐसे भी हैं जो तुम्हारी (बातों की) तरफ़ कान लगाए रहते हैं और हमने उनके दिलों पर परदे डाल दिए हैं कि वह उसे समझ न पाएं और उनके कानों में बहरापन पैदा कर दिया है और अगर वह हर निशानी को देखे लें तब भी ईमान न लाएंगे यहाँ तक कि जब तुम्हारे पास तुम से उलझे हुए आ निकलते हैं तो काफ़िर कहते हैं यह तो अगलों की कहानियों के सिवा कुछ भी नहीं।.
Ayah 26
وَهُمْ And they يَنْهَوْنَ forbid (others) عَنْهُ from it وَيَنْـَٔوْنَ and they keep away عَنْهُ from it. وَإِن And not يُهْلِكُونَ they destroy إِلَّآ except أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves وَمَا and not يَشْعُرُونَ they perceive.
English - And they prevent [others] from him and are [themselves] remote from him. And they do not destroy except themselves, but they perceive [it] not. .
हिंदी - और यह लोग उस से रोकते हैं और ख़ुद अलग थलग रहते हैं और यह लोग बस अपने आप को हलाक करते हैं और समझते नहीं।.
Ayah 27
وَلَوْ And if تَرَىٰٓ you (could) see إِذْ when وُقِفُوا۟ they are made to stand عَلَى by ٱلنَّارِ the Fire فَقَالُوا۟ then they (will) say, يَٰلَيْتَنَا "Oh! Would that we نُرَدُّ were sent back وَلَا and not نُكَذِّبَ we would deny بِـَٔايَٰتِ (the) Signs رَبِّنَا (of) our Lord وَنَكُونَ and we would be مِنَ among ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers."
English - If you could but see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, would that we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers." .
हिंदी - और अगर तुम उन लोगों को उस वक़्त देखते जब जहन्नम पर लाकर खड़े किए जाएंगे तो कहंेगे ऐ काश हम लौटा दिए जाते और अपने पालनहार की आयतों को न झुठलाते और हम ईमान वालों में से होते।.
Ayah 28
بَلْ Nay, بَدَا became manifest لَهُم for them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they used to يُخْفُونَ conceal مِن from قَبْلُ before. وَلَوْ And if رُدُّوا۟ they were sent back لَعَادُوا۟ certainly they (would) return لِمَا to what نُهُوا۟ they were forbidden عَنْهُ from it, وَإِنَّهُمْ and indeed they لَكَٰذِبُونَ certainly are liars.
English - But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars. .
हिंदी - बल्कि उन पर खुल गया जो पहले से वह छुपाते थे और अगर यह लोग लौटा भी दिए जाएं तो भी जिस चीज़ की मनाही की गई है उसे ज़रूर करें और बेशक यह लोग झूठे हैं।.
Ayah 29
وَقَالُوٓا۟ And they said, إِنْ "Not هِىَ it (is) إِلَّا except حَيَاتُنَا our life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we بِمَبْعُوثِينَ (will be) resurrected."
English - And they say, "There is none but our worldly life, and we will not be resurrected." .
हिंदी - और कहते हैं कि यह नहीं है मगर हमारी दुनिया ही की ज़िंदगी और हम दोबारा उठाए जाने वाले नहीं हैैं।.
Ayah 30
وَلَوْ And if تَرَىٰٓ you (could) see إِذْ when وُقِفُوا۟ they will be made to stand عَلَىٰ before رَبِّهِمْ their Lord. قَالَ He (will) say, أَلَيْسَ "Is not هَٰذَا this بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth?" قَالُوا۟ They will say, بَلَىٰ "Yes, وَرَبِّنَا by our Lord." قَالَ He (will) say, فَذُوقُوا۟ "So taste ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment بِمَا because كُنتُمْ you used to تَكْفُرُونَ disbelieve."
English - If you could but see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He will say, "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will [then] say, "So taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve." .
हिंदी - और अगर तुम उन्हें उस वक़्त देखते जब वह लोग अपने रब के सामने खड़े किए जाएंगे और वह कहेगा कि क्या यह हक़ नहीं है वह कहंेगे क्यूं नहीं हमारे रब की क़सम। वह कहेगा तो चखो उस अज़्ााब का मज़्ाा जिसका तुम इंकार करते थे।.
Ayah 31
قَدْ Indeed, خَسِرَ incurred loss ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَذَّبُوا۟ denied بِلِقَآءِ in (the) meeting ٱللَّهِ (with) Allah, حَتَّىٰٓ until إِذَا when جَآءَتْهُمُ came to them ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour بَغْتَةً suddenly قَالُوا۟ they said, يَٰحَسْرَتَنَا "Oh! Our regret عَلَىٰ over مَا what فَرَّطْنَا we neglected فِيهَا concerning it," وَهُمْ while they يَحْمِلُونَ will bear أَوْزَارَهُمْ their burdens عَلَىٰ on ظُهُورِهِمْ their backs. أَلَا Unquestionably! سَآءَ Evil مَا (is) what يَزِرُونَ they bear.
English - Those will have lost who deny the meeting with Allah, until when the Hour [of resurrection] comes upon them unexpectedly, they will say, "Oh, [how great is] our regret over what we neglected concerning it," while they bear their burdens on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they bear. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन लोगों ने अल्लाह की मुलाक़ात को झुठलाया वह बड़े घाटे में रहें यहाँ तक कि जब उन पर वह घड़ी अचानक आ जाएगी तो वह कहेंगे हाय अफ़सोस उस बात पर जिस में हम नेे कोताही की और वह अपने बोझ को अपनी पीठों पर लादे होंगे, देख लो क्या बुरा बोझ है जिसे वह लादे हैं।.
Ayah 32
وَمَا And not ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ (is) the life ٱلدُّنْيَآ (of) the world إِلَّا except لَعِبٌ a play وَلَهْوٌ and amusement; وَلَلدَّارُ but the home ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ (of) the Hereafter خَيْرٌ (is) best لِّلَّذِينَ for those who يَتَّقُونَ (are) God conscious. أَفَلَا Then not تَعْقِلُونَ (will) you reason?
English - And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason? .
हिंदी - और दुनियावी ज़िंदगी खेल और तमाशे के सिवा कुछ भी नहीं और आखि़रत का घर परहेज़गारो के लिए बेहतर है तो क्या तुम समझ नहीं रखते।.
Ayah 33
قَدْ Indeed, نَعْلَمُ We know إِنَّهُۥ that it لَيَحْزُنُكَ grieves you ٱلَّذِى what يَقُولُونَ they say. فَإِنَّهُمْ And indeed, they لَا (do) not يُكَذِّبُونَكَ deny you وَلَٰكِنَّ but ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers - بِـَٔايَٰتِ the Verses ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يَجْحَدُونَ they reject.
English - We know that you, [O Muhammad], are saddened by what they say. And indeed, they do not call you untruthful, but it is the verses of Allah that the wrongdoers reject. .
हिंदी - हम यक़ीनन जानते हैं कि तुम्हें वह बात तकलीफ़ पहुंचाती है जो यह लोग कहते हैं तो यह लोग तुम्हें नहीं झुठलाते बल्कि ज़ालिम अल्लाह की आयतों का इंकार करते हैं।.
Ayah 34
وَلَقَدْ And surely كُذِّبَتْ were rejected رُسُلٌ Messengers مِّن from قَبْلِكَ before you, فَصَبَرُوا۟ but they were patient عَلَىٰ over مَا what كُذِّبُوا۟ they were rejected وَأُوذُوا۟ and they were harmed حَتَّىٰٓ until أَتَىٰهُمْ came to them نَصْرُنَا Our help. وَلَا And no مُبَدِّلَ one (can) alter لِكَلِمَٰتِ (the) words ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, وَلَقَدْ and surely جَآءَكَ has come to you مِن of نَّبَإِى۟ (the) news ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ (of) the Messengers.
English - And certainly were messengers denied before you, but they were patient over [the effects of] denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can alter the words of Allah. And there has certainly come to you some information about the [previous] messengers. .
हिंदी - और तुमसे पहले भी रसूल झुठलाए जा चुके हैं तो उन्होंने अपने झुठलाए जाने और तकलीफ़ दिए जाने पर सब्र किया यहाँ तक कि हमारी मदद उनके पास आ पहुंची और अल्लाह की बातों को कोई बदलने वाला नहीं और रसूलों के हालात तो तुम्हारे पास पहुँच ही चुके हैं।.
Ayah 35
وَإِن And if كَانَ is كَبُرَ difficult عَلَيْكَ for you إِعْرَاضُهُمْ their aversion فَإِنِ then if ٱسْتَطَعْتَ you are able أَن to تَبْتَغِىَ seek نَفَقًا a tunnel فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth أَوْ or سُلَّمًا a ladder فِى into ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky فَتَأْتِيَهُم so that you bring to them بِـَٔايَةٍ a Sign. وَلَوْ But if شَآءَ (had) willed ٱللَّهُ Allah لَجَمَعَهُمْ surely He (would) have gathered them عَلَى on ٱلْهُدَىٰ the guidance. فَلَا So (do) not تَكُونَنَّ be مِنَ of ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ the ignorant.
English - And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allah had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant. .
हिंदी - और अगर उनकी बेरुख़ी तुम पर भारी लग रही है तो अगर तुम्हारा बस चले तो ज़मीन के अंदर कोई सुरंग ढँूढ निकालो या आसमान में सीढ़ी लगा लो फिर उन्हें कोई निशानी दिखा दो और अगर अल्लाह चाहता तो उन सब को राहे रास्त पर इकट्ठा कर देता तो तुम बिल्कुल ज़ालिमों में शामिल न होना।.
Ayah 36
إِنَّمَا Only يَسْتَجِيبُ respond ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَسْمَعُونَ listen. وَٱلْمَوْتَىٰ But the dead - يَبْعَثُهُمُ will resurrect them ٱللَّهُ Allah ثُمَّ then إِلَيْهِ to Him يُرْجَعُونَ they will be returned.
English - Only those who hear will respond. But the dead – Allah will resurrect them; then to Him they will be returned. .
हिंदी - मानते वही लोग हैं जो सुनते हैं और मुर्दाें को अल्लाह उठाएगा फिर उसी की तरफ़ वह लौटाए जाएंगे।.
Ayah 37
وَقَالُوا۟ And they said, لَوْلَا "Why (is) not نُزِّلَ sent down عَلَيْهِ to him ءَايَةٌ a Sign مِّن from رَّبِّهِۦ his Lord?" قُلْ Say, إِنَّ "Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah قَادِرٌ (is) Able عَلَىٰٓ [on] أَن to يُنَزِّلَ send down ءَايَةً a Sign, وَلَٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَهُمْ most of them لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know."
English - And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Indeed, Allah is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know." .
हिंदी - और वह कहते हैं कि उस पर उसके रब की तरफ़ से कोई निशानी क्यों नहीं नाज़िल होती तो तुम कह दो कि अल्लाह निशानी के नाज़िल करने पर क़ादिर है मगर उनमें के अक्सर लोग इल्म नहीं रखते।.
Ayah 38
وَمَا And not مِن [of] دَآبَّةٍ any animal فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَلَا and not طَٰٓئِرٍ a bird يَطِيرُ (that) flies بِجَنَاحَيْهِ with its wings - إِلَّآ but أُمَمٌ (are) communities أَمْثَالُكُم like you. مَّا Not فَرَّطْنَا We have neglected فِى in ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book مِن [of] شَىْءٍ anything, ثُمَّ then إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِمْ their Lord يُحْشَرُونَ they will be gathered.
English - And there is no creature on [or within] the earth or bird that flies with its wings except [that they are] communities like you. We have not neglected in the Register a thing. Then unto their Lord they will be gathered. .
हिंदी - और ज़मीन में चलने फिरने वाला (हैवान) या अपने दोनों परों से उड़ने वाला परिंदा नहीं है मगर उनके भी तुम्हारी तरह गिरोह हैं। हमने किताब (क़ुरआन) में कोई चीज़्ा नहीं छोड़ी है फिर अपने रब के पास वह जमा किए जाएंगे।.
Ayah 39
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who كَذَّبُوا۟ rejected بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا Our Verses صُمٌّ (are) deaf وَبُكْمٌ and dumb فِى in ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ the darkness[es]. مَن Whoever يَشَإِ wills ٱللَّهُ Allah - يُضْلِلْهُ He lets him go astray وَمَن and whoever يَشَأْ He wills - يَجْعَلْهُ He places him عَلَىٰ on صِرَٰطٍ (the) way, مُّسْتَقِيمٍ (the) straight.
English - But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb within darknesses. Whomever Allah wills – He leaves astray; and whomever He wills – He puts him on a straight path. .
हिंदी - और जिन लोगों ने हमारी आयतों को झुठला दिया वह अंधेरों में गूंगे बहरे (पड़े हैं)। अल्लाह जिसे चाहे उसे भटका दे और जिसे चाहे उसे सीधे रास्ते पर लगा दे।.
Ayah 40
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ "Have you seen إِنْ if أَتَىٰكُمْ (there) came to you عَذَابُ punishment ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah أَوْ or أَتَتْكُمُ (there) came to you ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour - أَغَيْرَ is it other ٱللَّهِ (than) Allah تَدْعُونَ you call, إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَٰدِقِينَ truthful?"
English - Say, "Have you considered: if there came to you the punishment of Allah or there came to you the Hour – is it other than Allah you would invoke, if you should be truthful?" .
हिंदी - कहो कि क्या तुम यह समझते हो कि अगर तुम्हारे सामने अल्लाह का अज़ाब आ जाए या तुम्हारे सामने वह घड़ी ही आ खड़ी हो तो अगर तुम सच्चे हो (तो बताओ) क्या तुम अल्लाह को छोड़कर दूसरे को पुकारोगे।.
Ayah 41
بَلْ "Nay, إِيَّاهُ Him Alone تَدْعُونَ you call فَيَكْشِفُ and He would remove مَا what تَدْعُونَ you call إِلَيْهِ upon Him إِن if شَآءَ He wills, وَتَنسَوْنَ and you will forget مَا what تُشْرِكُونَ you associate (with Him)."
English - No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed, and you would forget what you associate [with Him]. .
हिंदी - बल्कि उसी को पुकारोगे फिर अगर वह चाहेगा तो जिस के वास्ते तुम उसे पुकारते है वह उसे दूर कर देगा और जिन्हे तुम शरीक समझते थे उन्हें भूल जाओगे।.
Ayah 42
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَآ We sent (Messengers) إِلَىٰٓ to أُمَمٍ nations مِّن from قَبْلِكَ before you, فَأَخَذْنَٰهُم then We seized them بِٱلْبَأْسَآءِ with adversity وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ and hardship لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَتَضَرَّعُونَ humble themselves.
English - And We have already sent [messengers] to nations before you, [O Muhammad]; then We seized them with poverty and hardship that perhaps they might humble themselves [to Us]. .
हिंदी - और तुमसे पहले कई उम्मतों की तरफ़ हम रसूल भेज चुके हैं तो हमने उन्हें सख़्ती और तकलीफ़ में गिरफ़्तार किया ताकि वह लोग गिड़गिड़ाएं।.
Ayah 43
فَلَوْلَآ Then why not إِذْ when جَآءَهُم came to them بَأْسُنَا Our punishment, تَضَرَّعُوا۟ they humbled themselves? وَلَٰكِن But قَسَتْ became hardened قُلُوبُهُمْ their hearts وَزَيَّنَ and made fair-seeming لَهُمُ to them ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ the Shaitaan مَا what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing. .
हिंदी - तो जब उन पर हमारा अज़ाब आ गया तो वह लोग क्यों नहीं गिड़गिड़ाएं बल्कि उनके दिल सख़्त हो गए थे और उनकी करतूतों को शैतान ने उन्हें सजा कर दिखा दिया था।.
Ayah 44
فَلَمَّا So when نَسُوا۟ they forgot مَا what ذُكِّرُوا۟ they were reminded بِهِۦ of [it], فَتَحْنَا We opened عَلَيْهِمْ on them أَبْوَٰبَ gates كُلِّ (of) every شَىْءٍ thing, حَتَّىٰٓ until إِذَا when فَرِحُوا۟ they rejoiced بِمَآ in what أُوتُوٓا۟ they were given, أَخَذْنَٰهُم We seized them بَغْتَةً suddenly فَإِذَا and then هُم they مُّبْلِسُونَ (were) dumbfounded.
English - So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair. .
हिंदी - फिर जिसकी उन्हें नसीहत की गई जब वह उसे भूल गए तो हमने उन पर हर चीज़्ा के दरवाज़े खोल दिए यहाँ तक कि जो उनको दिया गया था जब वह उस से ख़ुश हो गए तो हमने उन्हें अचानक पकड़ लिया तो उस वक़्त वह नाउम्मीद होकर रह गए।.
Ayah 45
فَقُطِعَ So was cut off دَابِرُ (the) remnant ٱلْقَوْمِ (of) the people ٱلَّذِينَ [those] who ظَلَمُوا۟ did wrong. وَٱلْحَمْدُ And all praises and thanks لِلَّهِ (be) to Allah رَبِّ Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. .
हिंदी - फिर ज़ालिम लोगों की जड़ काट दी गई और सारी तारीफ़ अल्लाह के लिए है जो सारी दुनिया का पालने वाला है।.
Ayah 46
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتُمْ "Have you seen إِنْ if أَخَذَ took away ٱللَّهُ Allah سَمْعَكُمْ your hearing وَأَبْصَٰرَكُمْ and your sight وَخَتَمَ and sealed عَلَىٰ [on] قُلُوبِكُم your hearts, مَّنْ who إِلَٰهٌ (is the) god غَيْرُ other than ٱللَّهِ Allah يَأْتِيكُم to bring [back] to you بِهِ with it? ٱنظُرْ See كَيْفَ how نُصَرِّفُ We explain ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Signs; ثُمَّ yet هُمْ they يَصْدِفُونَ turn away."
English - Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should take away your hearing and your sight and set a seal upon your hearts, which deity other than Allah could bring them [back] to you?" Look how we diversify the verses; then they [still] turn away. .
हिंदी - कहो, क्या तुम यह समझते हो कि अगर अल्लाह तुम्हारे कान और तुम्हारी ऑँखें ले ले और तुम्हारे दिलों पर मुहर लगा दे तो अल्लाह के सिवा और कौन जो तुम्हें यह वापस दे दे। देखो हम कैसे निशानियों को बयान करते हैं फिर भी वह लोग मुँह मोड़ लेते हैं।.
Ayah 47
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ "Have you seen إِنْ if أَتَىٰكُمْ comes to you عَذَابُ punishment ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah بَغْتَةً suddenly أَوْ or جَهْرَةً openly, هَلْ will يُهْلَكُ (any) be destroyed إِلَّا except ٱلْقَوْمُ the people - ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers?
English - Say, "Have you considered: if the punishment of Allah should come to you unexpectedly or manifestly, will any be destroyed but the wrongdoing people?" .
हिंदी - कहो, क्या तुम यह समझते हो कि अगर तुम पर अल्लाह का अज़ाब बेख़बरी में या जानकारी में आ जाए तो क्या ज़ालिमों के सिवा और लोग भी हलाक़ किए जाएंगे?.
Ayah 48
وَمَا And not نُرْسِلُ We send ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers إِلَّا except مُبَشِّرِينَ (as) bearer of glad tidings وَمُنذِرِينَ and (as) warners. فَمَنْ So whoever ءَامَنَ believed وَأَصْلَحَ and reformed, فَلَا then no خَوْفٌ fear عَلَيْهِمْ upon them وَلَا and not هُمْ they يَحْزَنُونَ will grieve.
English - And We send not the messengers except as bringers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and reforms – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. .
हिंदी - और हम रसूलों को नहीं भेजते मगर ख़ुशख़बरी देने वाला और ख़बरदार करने वाला बनाकर फिर जिसने ईमान क़ुबूल किया और सुधार करता रहा तो उन पर न कोई ख़ौफ़ होगा और न वह ग़मग़ीन होंगे।.
Ayah 49
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who كَذَّبُوا۟ denied بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا [in] Our Verses يَمَسُّهُمُ will touch them ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَفْسُقُونَ defiantly disobey.
English - But those who deny Our verses – the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience. .
हिंदी - और जिन लोगों ने हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया, उन्हें अज़ाब लगेगा इस वजह से कि वह बुराई करते थे।.
Ayah 50
قُل Say, لَّآ "Not أَقُولُ (do) I say لَكُمْ to you عِندِى (that) with me خَزَآئِنُ (are the) treasures ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَلَآ and not أَعْلَمُ (that) I know ٱلْغَيْبَ the unseen وَلَآ and not أَقُولُ I say لَكُمْ to you إِنِّى that I (am) مَلَكٌ an Angel. إِنْ Not أَتَّبِعُ (do) I follow إِلَّا except مَا what يُوحَىٰٓ is revealed إِلَىَّ to me." قُلْ Say, هَلْ "Can يَسْتَوِى be equal ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ the blind وَٱلْبَصِيرُ and the seeing one?" أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَفَكَّرُونَ you give thought?
English - Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Then will you not give thought?" .
हिंदी - कह दो कि मैं यह नहीं कहता कि मेरे पास अल्लाह के ख़ज़ाने हैं और न मैं भेद को जानता हूँ और न मैं तुम से यह कहता हूँ कि मैं फरिश्ता हूँ। मैं तो बस जो मेरी तरफ़ वही (प्रकाशना) की जाती है उसी का पाबन्द हूँ। कहो कि क्या अंधा और ऑँख वाला बराबर हो सकता है तो क्या तुम सोचते भी नहीं?.
Ayah 51
وَأَنذِرْ And warn بِهِ with it ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَخَافُونَ fear أَن that يُحْشَرُوٓا۟ they will be gathered إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِمْ their Lord, لَيْسَ not لَهُم for them مِّن of دُونِهِۦ other than Him وَلِىٌّ any protector وَلَا and not شَفِيعٌ any intercessor, لَّعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَتَّقُونَ (become) righteous.
English - And warn by the Qur’an those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - for them besides Him will be no protector and no intercessor - that they might become righteous. .
हिंदी - और इस के ज़रिए तुम उन लोगों को ख़बरदार करो जो इस बात का ख़ौफ़ रखते हैं कि वह अपने पालनहार के सामने जमा किए जाएंगे, उनका उसके सिवा न कोई मददगार है और न कोई सिफ़ारिशी ताकि यह लोग परहेज़गार बन जाएं।.
Ayah 52
وَلَا And (do) not تَطْرُدِ send away ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَدْعُونَ call رَبَّهُم their Lord بِٱلْغَدَوٰةِ in the morning وَٱلْعَشِىِّ and the evening يُرِيدُونَ desiring وَجْهَهُۥ His Countenance. مَا Not عَلَيْكَ (is) on you مِنْ of حِسَابِهِم their account مِّن [of] شَىْءٍ anything, وَمَا and not مِنْ from حِسَابِكَ your account عَلَيْهِم on them مِّن [of] شَىْءٍ anything. فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ So were you to send them away, فَتَكُونَ then you would be مِنَ of ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers.
English - And do not send away those who call upon their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His countenance. Not upon you is anything of their account and not upon them is anything of your account. So were you to send them away, you would [then] be of the wrongdoers. .
हिंदी - और जो लोग सुबह और शाम अपने पालनहार से उसकी रज़ामंदी की चाहत में दुआ मांगा करते हैं उन्हें मत धुतकारो। न उनके हिसाब किताब मंे से कुछ तुम पर है और न तुम्हारे हिसाब किताब में से कुछ उन पर है फिर भी तुम उन्हें धुतकारते हो तो तुम ज़ालिमों में हो जाओगे।.
Ayah 53
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus فَتَنَّا We try بَعْضَهُم some of them بِبَعْضٍ with others لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟ that they say, أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ "Are these مَنَّ (whom has been) favored ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah عَلَيْهِم [upon them] مِّنۢ from بَيْنِنَآ among us?" أَلَيْسَ is not ٱللَّهُ Allah بِأَعْلَمَ most knowing بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ of those who are grateful?
English - And thus We have tried some of them through others that the disbelievers might say, "Is it these whom Allah has favored among us?" Is not Allah most knowing of those who are grateful? .
हिंदी - और इसी तरह हमने कुछ लोगों को कुछ से आज़माया ताकि वह कहें कि क्या यह लोग हम में से हैं जिन पर हमारे बीच से अल्लाह ने अपना फ़ज़्ल किया है। क्या अल्लाह शुक्र करने वालों को ज़्यादा जानने वाला नहीं है?.
Ayah 54
وَإِذَا And when جَآءَكَ come to you ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا in Our Verses فَقُلْ then say, سَلَٰمٌ "Peace عَلَيْكُمْ (be) upon you. كَتَبَ (Has) Prescribed رَبُّكُمْ your Lord عَلَىٰ upon نَفْسِهِ Himself ٱلرَّحْمَةَ the Mercy, أَنَّهُۥ that he مَنْ who عَمِلَ does مِنكُمْ among you سُوٓءًۢا evil بِجَهَٰلَةٍ in ignorance ثُمَّ then تَابَ repents مِنۢ from بَعْدِهِۦ after it وَأَصْلَحَ and reforms, فَأَنَّهُۥ then, indeed He غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful."
English - And when those come to you who believe in Our verses, say, "Peace be upon you. Your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy: that any of you who does wrong out of ignorance and then repents after that and corrects himself - indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful." .
हिंदी - और जो लोग हमारी आयतों पर ईमान लाए हैं तुम्हारे पास ऑंए तो तुम सलामुन अलैकुम (तुम पर ख़ुदा की सलामती हो) कहो तुम्हारे परवरदिगार ने अपने ऊपर रहमत लाज़िम कर ली है बेशक तुम में से जो शख़्श नादानी से कोई गुनाह कर बैठे उसके बाद फिर तौबा करे और अपनी हालत की (असलाह करे ख़ुदा उसका गुनाह बख्श देगा क्योंकि) वह यक़ीनी बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है।.
Ayah 55
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus نُفَصِّلُ We explain ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Verses, وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ so that becomes manifest سَبِيلُ (the) way ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ (of) the criminals.
English - And thus do We detail the verses, and [thus] the way of the criminals will become evident. .
हिंदी - और हम (अपनी) आयतों को यूं तफ़सील से बयान करते हैं ताकि गुनाहगारों की राह (सब पर) खुल जाए और वह इस पर न चले।.
Ayah 56
قُلْ Say, إِنِّى "Indeed I نُهِيتُ [I] am forbidden أَنْ that أَعْبُدَ I worship ٱلَّذِينَ those whom تَدْعُونَ you call مِن from دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah." قُل Say, لَّآ "Not أَتَّبِعُ I follow أَهْوَآءَكُمْ your (vain) desires, قَدْ certainly ضَلَلْتُ I would go astray إِذًا then, وَمَآ and not أَنَا۠ I (would be) مِنَ from ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ the guided-ones."
English - Say, "Indeed, I have been forbidden to worship those you invoke besides Allah." Say, "I will not follow your desires, for I would then have gone astray, and I would not be of the [rightly] guided." .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि मुझसे उसकी मनाही की गई है कि मैं ख़ुदा को छोड़कर उन माबूदों की इबादत करुं जिन को तुम पूजा करते हो (ये भी) कह दो कि मै तो तुम्हारी (नाफसानी) ख्वाहिश पर चलने का नहीं (वरना) फिर तो मै गुमराह हो जाऊॅगा और हिदायत याफता लोगों में न रहूँगा।.
Ayah 57
قُلْ Say, إِنِّى "Indeed, I (am) عَلَىٰ on بَيِّنَةٍ clear proof مِّن from رَّبِّى my Lord, وَكَذَّبْتُم while you deny بِهِۦ [with] it. مَا Not عِندِى I have مَا what تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ you seek to hasten بِهِۦٓ of it. إِنِ Not ٱلْحُكْمُ (is) the decision إِلَّا except لِلَّهِ for Allah. يَقُصُّ He relates ٱلْحَقَّ the truth, وَهُوَ and He خَيْرُ (is the) best ٱلْفَٰصِلِينَ (of) the Deciders."
English - Say, "Indeed, I am on clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. I do not have that for which you are impatient. The decision is only for Allah. He relates the truth, and He is the best of deciders." .
हिंदी - तुम कह दो कि मै तो अपने परवरदिगार की तरफ से एक रौशन दलील पर हूं और तुमने उसे झुठला दिया (तो) तुम जिस की जल्दी करते हो (अज़ाब) वह कुछ मेरे पास (एख्तियार में) तो है नहीं हुकूमत तो बस ज़रुर ख़ुदा ही के लिए है वह तो (हक़) बयान करता है और वह तमाम फैसला करने वालों से बेहतर है।.
Ayah 58
قُل Say, لَّوْ "If أَنَّ that عِندِى (were) with me مَا what تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ you seek to hasten بِهِۦ of it, لَقُضِىَ surely would have been decided ٱلْأَمْرُ the matter بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَكُمْ and between you. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah أَعْلَمُ (is) most knowing بِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ of the wrongdoers.
English - Say, "If I had that for which you are impatient, the matter would have been decided between me and you, but Allah is most knowing of the wrongdoers." .
हिंदी - (उन लोगों से) कह दो कि जिस (अज़ाब) की तुम जल्दी करते हो अगर वह मेरे पास (एख्तियार में) होता तो मेरे और तुम्हारे दरमियान का फैसला कब का चुक गया होता और ख़ुदा तो ज़ालिमों से खूब वाक़िफ है।.
Ayah 59
وَعِندَهُۥ And with Him مَفَاتِحُ (are the) keys ٱلْغَيْبِ (of) the unseen, لَا no (one) يَعْلَمُهَآ knows them إِلَّا except هُوَ Him. وَيَعْلَمُ And He knows مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلْبَرِّ the land وَٱلْبَحْرِ and in the sea. وَمَا And not تَسْقُطُ falls مِن of وَرَقَةٍ any leaf إِلَّا but يَعْلَمُهَا He knows it. وَلَا And not حَبَّةٍ a grain فِى in ظُلُمَٰتِ the darkness[es] ٱلْأَرْضِ (of) the earth وَلَا and not رَطْبٍ moist وَلَا and not يَابِسٍ dry إِلَّا but فِى (is) in كِتَٰبٍ a Record مُّبِينٍ Clear.
English - And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record. .
हिंदी - और उसके पास ग़ैब की कुन्जियॉ हैं जिनको उसके सिवा कोई नही जानता और जो कुछ ख़ुशकी और तरी में है उसको (भी) वही जानता है और कोई पत्ता भी नहीं खटकता मगर वह उसे ज़रुर जानता है और ज़मीन की तारिक़ियों में कोई दाना और न कोई ख़ुश्क चीज़ है मगर वह नूरानी किताब (लौहे महफूज़) में मौजूद है।.
Ayah 60
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم takes your (soul) بِٱلَّيْلِ by the night وَيَعْلَمُ and He knows مَا what جَرَحْتُم you committed بِٱلنَّهَارِ by the day. ثُمَّ Then يَبْعَثُكُمْ He raises you up فِيهِ therein, لِيُقْضَىٰٓ so that is fulfilled أَجَلٌ (the) term مُّسَمًّى specified. ثُمَّ Then إِلَيْهِ to Him مَرْجِعُكُمْ will be your return ثُمَّ then يُنَبِّئُكُم He will inform you بِمَا about what كُنتُمْ you used to تَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do. .
हिंदी - वह वही (ख़ुदा) है जो तुम्हें रात को (नींद में एक तरह पर दुनिया से) उठा लेता हे और जो कुछ तूने दिन को किया है जानता है फिर तुम्हें दिन को उठा कर खड़ा करता है ताकि (ज़िन्दगी की) (वह) मियाद जो (उसके इल्म में) मुअय्युन है पूरी की जाए फिर (तो आखि़र) तुम सबको उसी की तरफ लौटना है फिर जो कुछ तुम (दुनिया में भला बुरा) करते हो तुम्हें बता देगा।.
Ayah 61
وَهُوَ And He ٱلْقَاهِرُ (is) the Subjugator فَوْقَ over عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves, وَيُرْسِلُ and He sends عَلَيْكُمْ over you حَفَظَةً guardians حَتَّىٰٓ until إِذَا when جَآءَ comes أَحَدَكُمُ (to) anyone of you ٱلْمَوْتُ the death تَوَفَّتْهُ take him رُسُلُنَا Our messengers, وَهُمْ and they لَا (do) not يُفَرِّطُونَ fail.
English - And He is the subjugator over His servants, and He sends over you guardian-angels until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers take him, and they do not fail [in their duties]. .
हिंदी - वह अपने बन्दों पर ग़ालिब है वह तुम लोगों पर निगेहबान (फ़रिश्ततें तैनात करके) भेजता है-यहाँ तक कि जब तुम में से किसी की मौत आए तो हमारे भेजे हुये फ़रिश्ते उसको (दुनिया से) उठा लेते हैं और वह (हमारे तामीले हुक्म में ज़रा भी) कोताही नहीं करते।.
Ayah 62
ثُمَّ Then رُدُّوٓا۟ they are returned إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah مَوْلَىٰهُمُ their Protector - ٱلْحَقِّ [the] True, أَلَا Unquestionably, لَهُ for Him ٱلْحُكْمُ (is) the judgment? وَهُوَ And He أَسْرَعُ (is) swiftest ٱلْحَٰسِبِينَ (of) the Reckoners.
English - Then they His servants are returned to Allah, their true Lord. Unquestionably, His is the judgment, and He is the swiftest of accountants. .
हिंदी - फिर ये लोग अपने सच्चे मालिक ख़ुदा के पास वापस बुलाए गए-आगाह रहो कि हुक़ूमत ख़ास उसी के लिए है और वह सबसे ज्यादा हिसाब लेने वाला है।.
Ayah 63
قُلْ Say, مَن "Who يُنَجِّيكُم saves you مِّن from ظُلُمَٰتِ darkness[es] ٱلْبَرِّ (of) the land وَٱلْبَحْرِ and the sea, تَدْعُونَهُۥ you call Him تَضَرُّعًا humbly وَخُفْيَةً and secretly, لَّئِنْ "If أَنجَىٰنَا He saves us مِنْ from هَٰذِهِۦ this, لَنَكُونَنَّ surely we will be مِنَ from ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ the grateful ones."
English - Say, "Who rescues you from the darknesses of the land and sea [when] you call upon Him imploring [aloud] and privately, 'If He should save us from this [crisis], we will surely be among the thankful.' " .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) उनसे पूछो कि तुम ख़ुश्की और तरी के (घटाटोप) अंधेरों से कौन छुटकारा देता है जिससे तुम गिड़ गिड़ाकर और (चुपके) दुआएं मॉगते हो कि अगर वह हमें (अब की दफ़ा) उस (बला) से छुटकारा दे तो हम ज़रुर उसके शुक्र गुज़ार (बन्दे होकर) रहेगें।.
Ayah 64
قُلِ Say, ٱللَّهُ "Allah يُنَجِّيكُم saves you مِّنْهَا from it وَمِن and from كُلِّ every كَرْبٍ distress, ثُمَّ yet أَنتُمْ you تُشْرِكُونَ associate partners (with Allah)."
English - Say, "It is Allah who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him." .
हिंदी - तुम कहो उन (मुसीबतों) से और हर बला में ख़ुदा तुम्हें नजात देता है (मगर अफसोस) उस पर भी तुम शिर्क करते ही जाते हो।.
Ayah 65
قُلْ Say, هُوَ "He ٱلْقَادِرُ (is) All-Capable عَلَىٰٓ [on] أَن to يَبْعَثَ send عَلَيْكُمْ upon you عَذَابًا punishment مِّن from فَوْقِكُمْ above you أَوْ or مِن from تَحْتِ beneath أَرْجُلِكُمْ your feet أَوْ or يَلْبِسَكُمْ (to) confuse you شِيَعًا (into) sects وَيُذِيقَ and make (you) taste - بَعْضَكُم some of you بَأْسَ violence بَعْضٍ (of) others." ٱنظُرْ See كَيْفَ how نُصَرِّفُ We explain ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Signs لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَفْقَهُونَ understand.
English - Say, "He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects and make you taste the violence of one another." Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि वही उस पर अच्छी तरह क़ाबू रखता है कि अगर (चाहे तो) तुम पर अज़ाब तुम्हारे (सर के) ऊपर से नाज़िल करे या तुम्हारे पॉव के नीचे से (उठाकर खड़ा कर दे) या एक गिरोह को दूसरे से भिड़ा दे और तुम में से कुछ लोगों को बाज़ आदमियों की लड़ाई का मज़ा चखा दे ज़रा ग़ौर तो करो हम किस किस तरह अपनी आयतों को उलट पुलट के बयान करते हैं ताकि लोग समझे।.
Ayah 66
وَكَذَّبَ But denied بِهِۦ it - قَوْمُكَ your people وَهُوَ while it ٱلْحَقُّ (is) the truth. قُل Say, لَّسْتُ "I am not عَلَيْكُم over you بِوَكِيلٍ a manager."
English - But your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say, "I am not over you a manager." .
हिंदी - और उसी (क़ुरान) को तुम्हारी क़ौम ने झुठला दिया हालॉकि वह बरहक़ है (ऐ रसूल) तुम उनसे कहो कि मैं तुम पर कुछ निगेहबान तो हूं नहीं।.
Ayah 67
لِّكُلِّ For every نَبَإٍ news مُّسْتَقَرٌّ (is) a fixed time, وَسَوْفَ and soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know.
English - For every happening is a finality; and you are going to know. .
हिंदी - हर ख़बर (के पूरा होने) का एक ख़ास वक्त मुक़र्रर है और अनक़रीब (जल्दी) ही तुम जान लोगे।.
Ayah 68
وَإِذَا And when رَأَيْتَ you see ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَخُوضُونَ engage (in vain talks) فِىٓ about ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Verses, فَأَعْرِضْ then turn away عَنْهُمْ from them حَتَّىٰ until يَخُوضُوا۟ they engage فِى in حَدِيثٍ a talk غَيْرِهِۦ other than it. وَإِمَّا And if يُنسِيَنَّكَ causes you to forget ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ the Shaitaan, فَلَا then (do) not تَقْعُدْ sit بَعْدَ after ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ the reminder مَعَ with ٱلْقَوْمِ the people - ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers.
English - And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversion. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wrongdoing people. .
हिंदी - और जब तुम उन लोगों को देखो जो हमारी आयतों में बेहूदा बहस कर रहे हैं तो उन (के पास) से टल जाओ यहाँ तक कि वह लोग उसके सिवा किसी और बात में बहस करने लगें और अगर (हमारा ये हुक्म) तुम्हें शैतान भुला दे तो याद आने के बाद ज़ालिम लोगों के साथ हरगिज़ न बैठना।.
Ayah 69
وَمَا And not عَلَى (is) on ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَتَّقُونَ fear (Allah) مِنْ of حِسَابِهِم their account مِّن [of] شَىْءٍ anything; وَلَٰكِن but ذِكْرَىٰ (for) reminder, لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَتَّقُونَ fear (Allah).
English - And those who fear Allah are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him. .
हिंदी - और ऐसे लोगों (के हिसाब किताब) का जवाब देही कुछ परहेज़गारो पर तो है नहीं मगर (सिर्फ नसीहतन) याद दिलाना (चाहिए) ताकि ये लोग भी परहेज़गार बनें।.
Ayah 70
وَذَرِ And leave ٱلَّذِينَ those who ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ take دِينَهُمْ their religion لَعِبًا (as) a play وَلَهْوًا and amusement وَغَرَّتْهُمُ and deluded them ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world. وَذَكِّرْ But remind بِهِۦٓ with it, أَن lest تُبْسَلَ is given up to destruction نَفْسٌۢ a soul بِمَا for what كَسَبَتْ it (has) earned, لَيْسَ not لَهَا (is) for it مِن from دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah وَلِىٌّ any protector وَلَا and not شَفِيعٌ any intercessor. وَإِن And if تَعْدِلْ it offers ransom - كُلَّ every عَدْلٍ ransom, لَّا not يُؤْخَذْ will it be taken مِنْهَآ from it. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those ٱلَّذِينَ (are) ones who أُبْسِلُوا۟ are given to destruction بِمَا for what كَسَبُوا۟ they earned. لَهُمْ For them شَرَابٌ (will be) a drink مِّنْ of حَمِيمٍ boiling water وَعَذَابٌ and a punishment أَلِيمٌۢ painful بِمَا because كَانُوا۟ they used to يَكْفُرُونَ disbelieve.
English - And leave those who take their religion as amusement and diversion and whom the worldly life has deluded. But remind with the Qur’an, lest a soul be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will have other than Allah no protector and no intercessor. And if it should offer every compensation, it would not be taken from it. Those are the ones who are given to destruction for what they have earned. For them will be a drink of scalding water and a painful punishment because they used to disbelieve. .
हिंदी - और जिन लोगों ने अपने दीन को खेल और तमाशा बना रखा है और दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी ने उन को धोके में डाल रखा है ऐसे लोगों को छोड़ो और क़ुरान के ज़रिए से उनको नसीहत करते रहो (ऐसा न हो कि कोई) शख़्श अपने करतूत की बदौलत मुब्तिलाए बला हो जाए (क्योंकि उस वक्त) तो ख़ुदा के सिवा उसका न कोई सरपरस्त होगा न सिफारिशी और अगर वह अपने गुनाह के ऐवज़ सारे (जहाँन का) बदला भी दे तो भी उनमें से एक न लिया जाएगा जो लोग अपनी करनी की बदौलत मुब्तिलाए बला हुए है उनको पीने के लिए खौलता हुआ गर्म पानी (मिलेगा) और (उन पर) दर्दनाक अज़ाब होगा क्योंकर वह कुफ़्र किया करते थे।.
Ayah 71
قُلْ Say, أَنَدْعُوا۟ "Shall we call مِن from دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah مَا what لَا not يَنفَعُنَا benefits us وَلَا and not يَضُرُّنَا harms us, وَنُرَدُّ and we turn back عَلَىٰٓ on أَعْقَابِنَا our heels بَعْدَ after إِذْ [when] هَدَىٰنَا (has) guided us ٱللَّهُ Allah? كَٱلَّذِى Like the one ٱسْتَهْوَتْهُ whom (has been) enticed ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ (by) the Shaitaan فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth, حَيْرَانَ confused, لَهُۥٓ he has أَصْحَٰبٌ companions يَدْعُونَهُۥٓ who call him إِلَى towards ٱلْهُدَى the guidance, ٱئْتِنَا 'Come to us.'" قُلْ Say, إِنَّ "Indeed, هُدَى (the) Guidance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, هُوَ it ٱلْهُدَىٰ (is) the Guidance, وَأُمِرْنَا and we have been commanded لِنُسْلِمَ that we submit لِرَبِّ to (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds
English - Say, "Shall we invoke instead of Allah that which neither benefits us nor harms us and be turned back on our heels after Allah has guided us? [We would then be] like one whom the devils enticed [to wander] upon the earth confused, [while] he has companions inviting him to guidance, [calling], 'Come to us.' " Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance; and we have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) उनसे पूछो तो कि क्या हम लोग ख़ुदा को छोड़कर उन (माबूदों) से मुनाज़ात (दुआ) करे जो न तो हमें नफ़ा पहुंचा सकते हैं न हमारा कुछ बिगाड़ ही सकते हैं- और जब ख़ुदा हमारी हिदायत कर चुका) उसके बाद उल्टे पावँ कुफ्र की तरफ उस शख़्श की तरह फिर जाएं जिसे शैतानों ने जंगल में भटका दिया हो और वह हैरान (परेशान) हो (कि कहा जाए क्या करें) और उसके कुछ रफीक़ हो कि उसे राहे रास्त (सीधे रास्ते) की तरफ पुकारते रह जाएं कि (उधर) हमारे पास आओ और वह एक न सुने (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि हिदायत तो बस ख़ुदा की हिदायत है और हमें तो हुक्म ही दिया गया है कि हम सारे जहॉन के परवरदिगार ख़ुदा के फरमाबरदार हैं।.
Ayah 72
وَأَنْ And to أَقِيمُوا۟ establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَٱتَّقُوهُ and fear Him. وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One إِلَيْهِ to Him تُحْشَرُونَ you will be gathered."
English - And to establish prayer and fear Him." And it is He to whom you will be gathered. .
हिंदी - और ये (भी हुक्म हुआ है) कि पाबन्दी से नमाज़ पढ़ा करो और उसी से डरते रहो और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसके हुज़ूर में तुम सब के सब हाज़िर किए जाओगे।.
Ayah 73
وَهُوَ And (it is) He ٱلَّذِى Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth. وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يَقُولُ He says, كُن "Be" فَيَكُونُ and it is, قَوْلُهُ His word ٱلْحَقُّ (is) the truth. وَلَهُ And for Him ٱلْمُلْكُ (is) the Dominion يَوْمَ (on the) Day يُنفَخُ will be blown فِى in ٱلصُّورِ the trumpet. عَٰلِمُ (He is) All-Knower ٱلْغَيْبِ (of) the unseen وَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ and the seen. وَهُوَ And He ٱلْحَكِيمُ (is) the All-Wise, ٱلْخَبِيرُ the All-Aware.
English - And it is He who created the heavens and earth in truth. And the day He says, "Be," and it is, His word is the truth. And His is the dominion [on] the Day the Horn is blown. [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted. .
हिंदी - वह तो वह (ख़ुदा है) जिसने ठीक ठीक बहुतेरे आसमान व ज़मीन पैदा किए और जिस दिन (किसी चीज़ को) कहता है कि हो जा तो (फौरन) हो जाती है उसका क़ौल सच्चा है और जिस दिन सूर फूंका जाएगा (उस दिन) ख़ास उसी की बादशाहत होगी (वही) ग़ायब हाज़िर (सब) का जानने वाला है और वही दाना वाक़िफकार है।.
Ayah 74
وَإِذْ And when قَالَ said إِبْرَٰهِيمُ Ibrahim لِأَبِيهِ to his father ءَازَرَ Azar, أَتَتَّخِذُ "Do you take أَصْنَامًا idols ءَالِهَةً (as) gods? إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَرَىٰكَ [I] see you وَقَوْمَكَ and your people فِى in ضَلَٰلٍ error مُّبِينٍ manifest."
English - And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father Azar, "Do you take idols as deities? Indeed, I see you and your people to be in manifest error." .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) उस वक्त क़ा याद करो) जब इबराहीम ने अपने (मुंह बोले) बाप आज़र से कहा क्या तुम बुतों को ख़ुदा मानते हो-मै तो तुमको और तुम्हारी क़ौम को खुली गुमराही में देखता हूँ।.
Ayah 75
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus نُرِىٓ We show(ed) إِبْرَٰهِيمَ Ibrahim مَلَكُوتَ the kingdom ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth, وَلِيَكُونَ so that he would be مِنَ among ٱلْمُوقِنِينَ the ones who are certain.
English - And thus did We show Abraham the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain [in faith] .
हिंदी - और (जिस तरह हमने इबराहीम को दिखाया था कि बुत क़ाबिले परसतिश (पूजने के क़ाबिल) नहीं) उसी तरह हम इबराहीम को सारे आसमान और ज़मीन की सल्तनत का (इन्तज़ाम) दिखाते रहे ताकि वह (हमारी वहदानियत का) यक़ीन करने वालों से हो जाएं।.
Ayah 76
فَلَمَّا So when جَنَّ covered عَلَيْهِ over him ٱلَّيْلُ the night, رَءَا he saw كَوْكَبًا a star. قَالَ He said, هَٰذَا "This رَبِّى (is) my Lord." فَلَمَّآ But when أَفَلَ it set, قَالَ he said لَآ "Not أُحِبُّ (do) I like ٱلْءَافِلِينَ the ones that set."
English - So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "I like not those that disappear." .
हिंदी - तो जब उन पर रात की तारीक़ी (अंधेरा) छा गयी तो एक सितारे को देखा तो दफअतन बोल उठे (हाए क्या) यही मेरा ख़ुदा है फिर जब वह डूब गया तो कहने लगे ग़ुरुब (डूब) हो जाने वाली चीज़ को तो मै (ख़ुदा बनाना) पसन्द नहीं करता।.
Ayah 77
فَلَمَّا When رَءَا he saw ٱلْقَمَرَ the moon بَازِغًا rising قَالَ he said, هَٰذَا "This رَبِّى (is) my Lord." فَلَمَّآ But when أَفَلَ it set قَالَ he said, لَئِن "If لَّمْ (does) not يَهْدِنِى guide me رَبِّى my Lord, لَأَكُونَنَّ I will surely be مِنَ among ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلضَّآلِّينَ who went astray."
English - And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray." .
हिंदी - फिर जब चाँद को जगमगाता हुआ देखा तो बोल उठे (क्या) यही मेरा ख़ुदा है फिर जब वह भी ग़ुरुब हो गया तो कहने लगे कि अगर (कहीं) मेरा (असली) परवरदिगार मेरी हिदायत न करता तो मैं ज़रुर गुमराह लोगों में हो जाता।.
Ayah 78
فَلَمَّا When رَءَا he saw ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun بَازِغَةً rising قَالَ he said, هَٰذَا "This (is) رَبِّى my Lord, هَٰذَآ this (is) أَكْبَرُ greater." فَلَمَّآ But when أَفَلَتْ it set, قَالَ he said, يَٰقَوْمِ "O my people! إِنِّى Indeed, I am بَرِىٓءٌ free مِّمَّا of what تُشْرِكُونَ you associate (with Allah)."
English - And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; this is greater." But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am free from what you associate with Allah. .
हिंदी - फिर जब आफताब को दमकता हुआ देखा तो कहने लगे (क्या) यही मेरा ख़ुदा है ये तो सबसे बड़ा (भी) है फिर जब ये भी ग़ुरुब हो गया तो कहने लगे ऐ मेरी क़ौम जिन जिन चीज़ों को तुम लोग (ख़ुदा का) शरीक बनाते हो उनसे मैं बेज़ार हूँ।.
Ayah 79
إِنِّى Indeed, I وَجَّهْتُ [I] have turned وَجْهِىَ my face لِلَّذِى to the One Who فَطَرَ created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth حَنِيفًا (as) a true monotheist, وَمَآ and not أَنَا۠ I (am) مِنَ of ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists.
English - Indeed, I have turned my face toward He who created the heavens and the earth, inclining toward truth, and I am not of those who associate others with Allah." .
हिंदी - (ये हरगिज़ नहीं हो सकते) मैने तो बातिल से कतराकर उसकी तरफ से मुँह कर लिया है जिसने बहुतेरे आसमान और ज़मीन पैदा किए और मैं मुशरेकीन से नहीं हूँ।.
Ayah 80
وَحَآجَّهُۥ And argued with him قَوْمُهُۥ his people. قَالَ He said, أَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّى "Do you argue with me فِى concerning ٱللَّهِ Allah وَقَدْ while certainly هَدَىٰنِ He has guided me? وَلَآ And not أَخَافُ (do) I fear مَا what تُشْرِكُونَ you associate بِهِۦٓ with Him, إِلَّآ unless أَن [that] يَشَآءَ wills رَبِّى my Lord شَيْـًٔا anything. وَسِعَ Encompasses رَبِّى my Lord كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing عِلْمًا (in) knowledge. أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَذَكَّرُونَ you take heed?
English - And his people argued with him. He said, "Do you argue with me concerning Allah while He has guided me? And I fear not what you associate with Him [and will not be harmed] unless my Lord should will something. My Lord encompasses all things in knowledge; then will you not remember? .
हिंदी - और उनकी क़ौम के लोग उनसे हुज्जत करने लगे तो इबराहीम ने कहा था क्या तुम मुझसे ख़ुदा के बारे में हुज्जत करते हो हालॉकि वह यक़ीनी मेरी हिदायत कर चुका और तुम मे जिन बुतों को उसका शरीक मानते हो मै उनसे डरता (वरता) नहीं (वह मेरा कुछ नहीं कर सकते) मगर हॉ मेरा ख़ुदा खुद (करना) चाहे तो अलबत्ता कर सकता है मेरा परवरदिगार तो बाएतबार इल्म के सब पर हावी है तो क्या उस पर भी तुम नसीहत नहीं मानते।.
Ayah 81
وَكَيْفَ And how أَخَافُ could I fear مَآ what أَشْرَكْتُمْ you associate (with Allah) وَلَا while not تَخَافُونَ you fear أَنَّكُمْ that you أَشْرَكْتُم have associated بِٱللَّهِ with Allah مَا what لَمْ not يُنَزِّلْ did He send down بِهِۦ for it عَلَيْكُمْ to you سُلْطَٰنًا any authority. فَأَىُّ So which ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ (of) the two parties أَحَقُّ has more right بِٱلْأَمْنِ to security إِن if كُنتُمْ you تَعْلَمُونَ know?"
English - And how should I fear what you associate while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any authority? So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know? .
हिंदी - और जिन्हें तुम ख़ुदा का शरीक बताते हो मै उन से क्यों डरुँ जब तुम इस बात से नहीं डरते कि तुमने ख़ुदा का शरीक ऐसी चीज़ों को बनाया है जिनकी ख़ुदा ने कोई सनद तुम पर नहीं नाज़िल की फिर अगर तुम जानते हो तो (भला बताओ तो सही कि) हम दोनों फरीक़ (गिरोह) में अमन क़ायम रखने का ज्यादा हक़दार कौन है।.
Ayah 82
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed وَلَمْ and (did) not يَلْبِسُوٓا۟ mix إِيمَٰنَهُم their belief بِظُلْمٍ with wrong, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those, لَهُمُ for them, ٱلْأَمْنُ (is) the security وَهُم and they مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) rightly guided.
English - They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided. .
हिंदी - जिन लोगों ने ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अपने ईमान को ज़ुल्म (शिर्क) से आलूदा नहीं किया उन्हीं लोगों के लिए अमन (व इतमिनान) है और यही लोग हिदायत याफ़ता हैं।.
Ayah 83
وَتِلْكَ And this حُجَّتُنَآ (is) Our argument, ءَاتَيْنَٰهَآ We gave it إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (to) Ibrahim عَلَىٰ against قَوْمِهِۦ his people. نَرْفَعُ We raise دَرَجَٰتٍ (by) degrees مَّن whom نَّشَآءُ We will. إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord حَكِيمٌ (is) All-Wise, عَلِيمٌ All-Knowing.
English - And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing. .
हिंदी - और ये हमारी (समझाई बुझाई) दलीलें हैं जो हमने इबराहीम को अपनी क़ौम पर (ग़ालिब आने के लिए) अता की थी हम जिसके मरतबे चाहते हैं बुलन्द करते हैं बेशक तुम्हारा परवरदिगार हिक़मत वाला बाख़बर है।.
Ayah 84
وَوَهَبْنَا And We bestowed لَهُۥٓ to him إِسْحَٰقَ Isaac وَيَعْقُوبَ and Yaqub, كُلًّا all هَدَيْنَا We guided. وَنُوحًا And Nuh, هَدَيْنَا We guided مِن from قَبْلُ before; وَمِن and of ذُرِّيَّتِهِۦ his descendents, دَاوُۥدَ Dawood وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ and Sulaiman وَأَيُّوبَ and Ayyub وَيُوسُفَ and Yusuf وَمُوسَىٰ and Musa وَهَٰرُونَ and Harun. وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus نَجْزِى We reward ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers.
English - And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good. .
हिंदी - और हमने इबराहीम को इसहाक़ वा याक़ूब (सा बेटा पोता) अता किया हमने सबकी हिदायत की और उनसे पहले नूह को (भी) हम ही ने हिदायत की और उन्हीं (इबराहीम) को औलाद से दाऊद व सुलेमान व अय्यूब व यूसुफ व मूसा व हारुन (सब की हमने हिदायत की) और नेकों कारों को हम ऐसा ही इल्म अता फरमाते हैं।.
Ayah 85
وَزَكَرِيَّا And Zakariya وَيَحْيَىٰ and Yahya وَعِيسَىٰ and Isa وَإِلْيَاسَ and Elijah - كُلٌّ all (were) مِّنَ of ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous.
English - And Zechariah and John and Jesus and Elias – and all were of the righteous. .
हिंदी - और ज़करिया व यहया व ईसा व इलियास (सब की हिदायत की (और ये) सब (ख़ुदा के) नेक बन्दों से हैं।.
Ayah 86
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ And Ishmael وَٱلْيَسَعَ and Elisha وَيُونُسَ and Yunus وَلُوطًا and Lut, وَكُلًّا and all فَضَّلْنَا We preferred عَلَى over ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ the worlds.
English - And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot - and all [of them] We preferred over the worlds. .
हिंदी - और इसमाइल व इलियास व युनूस व लूत (की भी हिदायत की) और सब को सारे जहाँन पर फज़ीलत अता की।.
Ayah 87
وَمِنْ And from ءَابَآئِهِمْ their fathers وَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْ and their descendents وَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْ and their brothers - وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْ and We chose them وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ and We guided them إِلَىٰ to صِرَٰطٍ a path, مُّسْتَقِيمٍ straight.
English - And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path. .
हिंदी - और (सिर्फ उन्हीं को नहीं बल्कि) उनके बाप दादाओं और उनकी औलाद और उनके भाई बन्दों में से (बहुतेरों को) और उनके मुन्तखि़ब किया और उन्हें सीधी राह की हिदायत की।.
Ayah 88
ذَٰلِكَ That هُدَى (is the) Guidance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, يَهْدِى He guides بِهِۦ with it مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills مِنْ of عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves. وَلَوْ But if أَشْرَكُوا۟ they (had) associated partners (with Allah), لَحَبِطَ surely (would be) worthless عَنْهُم for them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing. .
हिंदी - (देखो) ये ख़ुदा की हिदायत है अपने बन्दों से जिसको चाहे उसीकी वजह से राह पर लाए और अगर उन लोगों ने शिर्क किया होता तो उनका किया (धरा) सब अकारत हो जाता।.
Ayah 89
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those - ٱلَّذِينَ (are) ones whom ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ We gave them ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book وَٱلْحُكْمَ and the judgment وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ and the Prophethood. فَإِن But if يَكْفُرْ disbelieve بِهَا in it هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these, فَقَدْ then indeed, وَكَّلْنَا We have entrusted بِهَا it قَوْمًا (to) a people لَّيْسُوا۟ who are not بِهَا therein بِكَٰفِرِينَ disbelievers.
English - Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if the disbelievers deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers. .
हिंदी - (पैग़म्बर) वह लोग थे जिनको हमने (आसमानी) किताब और हुकूमत और नुबूवत अता फरमाई पस अगर ये लोग उसे भी न माने तो (कुछ परवाह नहीं) हमने तो उस पर ऐसे लोगों को मुक़र्रर कर दिया हे जो (उनकी तरह) इन्कार करने वाले नहीं।.
Ayah 90
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those ٱلَّذِينَ (are) ones whom هَدَى (have been) guided ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah فَبِهُدَىٰهُمُ so of their guidance ٱقْتَدِهْ you follow. قُل Say, لَّآ "Not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask you عَلَيْهِ for it أَجْرًا any reward. إِنْ Not هُوَ (is) it إِلَّا but ذِكْرَىٰ a reminder لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ for the worlds."
English - Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so from their guidance take an example. Say, "I ask of you for this message no payment. It is not but a reminder for the worlds." .
हिंदी - (ये अगले पैग़म्बर) वह लोग थे जिनकी ख़ुदा ने हिदायत की पस तुम भी उनकी हिदायत की पैरवी करो (ऐ रसूल उन से) कहो कि मै तुम से इस (रिसालत) की मज़दूरी कुछ नहीं चाहता सारे जहाँन के लिए सिर्फ नसीहत है।.
Ayah 91
وَمَا And not قَدَرُوا۟ they appraised ٱللَّهَ Allah حَقَّ (with) true قَدْرِهِۦٓ [of his] appraisal إِذْ when قَالُوا۟ they said, مَآ "Not أَنزَلَ revealed ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah عَلَىٰ on بَشَرٍ a human being مِّن [of] شَىْءٍ anything." قُلْ Say, مَنْ "Who أَنزَلَ revealed ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book ٱلَّذِى which جَآءَ brought بِهِۦ [it] مُوسَىٰ Musa نُورًا (as) a light وَهُدًى and guidance لِّلنَّاسِ for the people? تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ You make it قَرَاطِيسَ (into) parchments, تُبْدُونَهَا you disclose (some of) it وَتُخْفُونَ and you conceal كَثِيرًا much (of it). وَعُلِّمْتُم And you were taught مَّا what لَمْ not تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ knew أَنتُمْ you وَلَآ and not ءَابَآؤُكُمْ your forefathers." قُلِ Say, ٱللَّهُ "Allah (revealed it)." ثُمَّ Then ذَرْهُمْ leave them فِى in خَوْضِهِمْ their discourse - يَلْعَبُونَ playing.
English - And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal when they said, "Allah did not reveal to a human being anything." Say, "Who revealed the Scripture that Moses brought as light and guidance to the people? You [Jews] make it into pages, disclosing [some of] it and concealing much. And you were taught that which you knew not - neither you nor your fathers." Say, "Allah [revealed it]." Then leave them in their [empty] discourse, amusing themselves. .
हिंदी - और बस और उन लोगों (यहूद) ने ख़ुदा की जैसी क़दर करनी चाहिए न की इसलिए कि उन लोगों ने (बेहूदे पन से) ये कह दिया कि ख़ुदा ने किसी बशर (इनसान) पर कुछ नाज़िल नहीं किया (ऐ रसूल) तुम पूछो तो कि फिर वह किताब जिसे मूसा लेकर आए थे किसने नाज़िल की जो लोगों के लिए रौशनी और (अज़सरतापा(सर से पैर तक)) हिदायत (थी जिसे तुम लोगों ने अलग-अलग करके काग़जी औराक़ (कागज़ के पन्ने) बना डाला और इसमें को कुछ हिस्सा (जो तुम्हारे मतलब का है वह) तो ज़ाहिर करते हो और बहुतेरे को (जो खि़लाफ मदआ है) छिपाते हो हालॉकि उसी किताब के ज़रिए से तुम्हें वो बातें सिखायी गयी जिन्हें न तुम जानते थे और न तुम्हारे बाप दादा (ऐ रसूल वह तो जवाब देगें नहीं) तुम ही कह दो कि ख़ुदा ने (नाज़िल फरमाई)।.
Ayah 92
وَهَٰذَا And this كِتَٰبٌ (is) a Book, أَنزَلْنَٰهُ We have revealed it, مُبَارَكٌ blessed, مُّصَدِّقُ confirming ٱلَّذِى which بَيْنَ (came) before يَدَيْهِ its hands, وَلِتُنذِرَ so that you may warn أُمَّ (the) mother ٱلْقُرَىٰ (of) the cities وَمَنْ and who حَوْلَهَا (are) around it. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter, يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe بِهِۦ in it, وَهُمْ and they, عَلَىٰ over صَلَاتِهِمْ their prayers يُحَافِظُونَ (are) guarding.
English - And this is a Book which We have sent down, blessed and confirming what was before it, that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in it, and they are maintaining their prayers. .
हिंदी - उसके बाद उन्हें छोड़ के (पडे झक मारा करें (और) अपनी तू तू मै मै में खेलते फिरें और (क़ुरान) भी वह किताब है जिसे हमने बाबरकत नाज़िल किया और उस किताब की तसदीक़ करती है जो उसके सामने (पहले से) मौजूद है और (इस वास्ते नाज़िल किया है) ताकि तुम उसके ज़रिए से अहले मक्का और उसके एतराफ़ के रहने वालों को (ख़ौफ ख़ुदा से) डराओ और जो लोग आखि़रत पर ईमान रखते हैं वह तो उस पर (बे ताम्मुल) ईमान लाते है और वही अपनी अपनी नमाज़ में भी पाबन्दी करते हैं।.
Ayah 93
وَمَنْ And who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّنِ than (one) who ٱفْتَرَىٰ invents عَلَى about ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie أَوْ or قَالَ said, أُوحِىَ "It has been inspired إِلَىَّ to me" وَلَمْ while not يُوحَ it was inspired إِلَيْهِ to him شَىْءٌ anything, وَمَن and (one) who قَالَ said, سَأُنزِلُ "I will reveal مِثْلَ like مَآ what أَنزَلَ (has been) revealed ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah." وَلَوْ And if تَرَىٰٓ you (could) see إِذِ when ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers فِى (are) in غَمَرَٰتِ agonies ٱلْمَوْتِ (of) [the] death وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ while the Angels بَاسِطُوٓا۟ (are) stretching out أَيْدِيهِمْ their hands (saying), أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ "Discharge أَنفُسَكُمُ your souls! ٱلْيَوْمَ Today تُجْزَوْنَ you will be recompensed عَذَابَ (with) punishment, ٱلْهُونِ humiliating, بِمَا because كُنتُمْ you used to تَقُولُونَ say عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah غَيْرَ other than ٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَكُنتُمْ and you were عَنْ towards ءَايَٰتِهِۦ His Verses تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ being arrogant."
English - And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or says, "It has been inspired to me," while nothing has been inspired to him, and one who says, "I will reveal [something] like what Allah revealed." And if you could but see when the wrongdoers are in the overwhelming pangs of death while the angels extend their hands, [saying], "Discharge your souls! Today you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation for what you used to say against Allah other than the truth and [that] you were, toward His verses, being arrogant." .
हिंदी - और उससे बढ़ कर ज़ालिम कौन होगा जो ख़ुदा पर झूठ (मूठ) इफ़तेरा करके कहे कि हमारे पास वही आयी है हालॉकि उसके पास वही वगैरह कुछ भी नही आयी या वह शख़्श दावा करे कि जैसा क़ुरान ख़ुदा ने नाज़िल किया है वैसा मै भी (अभी) अनक़रीब (जल्दी) नाज़िल किए देता हूँ और (ऐ रसूल) काश तुम देखते कि ये ज़ालिम मौत की सख्तियों में पड़ें हैं और फरिश्ते उनकी तरफ (जान निकाल लेने के वास्ते) हाथ लपका रहे हैं और कहते जाते हैं कि अपनी जानें निकालो आज ही तो तुम को रुसवाई के अज़ाब की सज़ा दी जाएगी क्योंकि तुम ख़ुदा पर नाहक़ (नाहक़) झूठ छोड़ा करते थे और उसकी आयतों को (सुनकर उन) से अकड़ा करते थे।.
Ayah 94
وَلَقَدْ And certainly جِئْتُمُونَا you have come to Us فُرَٰدَىٰ alone كَمَا as خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ We created you أَوَّلَ (the) first مَرَّةٍ time, وَتَرَكْتُم and you have left مَّا whatever خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ We bestowed (on) you وَرَآءَ behind ظُهُورِكُمْ your backs. وَمَا And not نَرَىٰ We see مَعَكُمْ with you شُفَعَآءَكُمُ your intercessors ٱلَّذِينَ those whom زَعَمْتُمْ you claimed أَنَّهُمْ that they (were) فِيكُمْ in your (matters) شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ partners (with Allah). لَقَد Indeed, تَّقَطَّعَ have been severed (bonds) بَيْنَكُمْ between you وَضَلَّ and is lost عَنكُم from you مَّا what كُنتُمْ you used to تَزْعُمُونَ claim."
English - [It will be said to them], "And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you the first time, and you have left whatever We bestowed upon you behind you. And We do not see with you your 'intercessors' which you claimed that they were among you associates [of Allah]. It has [all] been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to claim." .
हिंदी - और आखि़र तुम हमारे पास इसी तरह तन्हा आए (ना) जिस तरह हमने तुम को पहली बार पैदा किया था और जो (माल व औलाद) हमने तुमको दिया था वह सब अपने पस्त पुश्त (पीछे) छोड़ आए और तुम्हारे साथ तुम्हारे उन सिफारिश करने वालों को भी नहीं देखते जिन को तुम ख्याल करते थे कि वह तुम्हारी (परवरिश वगैरह) मै (हमारे) साझेदार है अब तो तुम्हारे बाहरी ताल्लुक़ात मनक़तआ (ख़त्म) हो गए और जो कुछ ख्याल करते थे वह सब तुम से ग़ायब हो गए।.
Ayah 95
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah فَالِقُ (is the) Cleaver ٱلْحَبِّ (of) the grain وَٱلنَّوَىٰ and the date-seed. يُخْرِجُ He brings forth ٱلْحَىَّ the living مِنَ from ٱلْمَيِّتِ the dead وَمُخْرِجُ and brings forth ٱلْمَيِّتِ the dead مِنَ from ٱلْحَىِّ the living. ذَٰلِكُمُ That ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah, فَأَنَّىٰ so how تُؤْفَكُونَ are you deluded?
English - Indeed, Allah is the cleaver of grain and date seeds. He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living. That is Allah; so how are you deluded? .
हिंदी - ख़ुदा ही तो गुठली और दाने को चीर (करके दरख्त ऊगाता) है वही मुर्दे में से ज़िन्दे को निकालता है और वही ज़िन्दा से मुर्दे को निकालने वाला है (लोगों) वही तुम्हारा ख़ुदा है फिर तुम किधर बहके जा रहे हो।.
Ayah 96
فَالِقُ (He is the) Cleaver ٱلْإِصْبَاحِ (of) the daybreak وَجَعَلَ and He has made ٱلَّيْلَ the night سَكَنًا (for) rest وَٱلشَّمْسَ and the sun وَٱلْقَمَرَ and the moon حُسْبَانًا (for) reckoning. ذَٰلِكَ That تَقْدِيرُ (is the) ordaining ٱلْعَزِيزِ (of) the All-Mighty, ٱلْعَلِيمِ the All-Knowing.
English - [He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - उसी के लिए सुबह की पौ फटी और उसी ने आराम के लिए रात और हिसाब के लिए सूरज और चाँद बनाए ये ख़ुदाए ग़ालिब व दाना के मुक़र्रर किए हुए किरदा (उसूल) हैं।.
Ayah 97
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلنُّجُومَ the stars لِتَهْتَدُوا۟ that you may guide yourselves بِهَا with them فِى in ظُلُمَٰتِ the darkness[es] ٱلْبَرِّ (of) the land وَٱلْبَحْرِ and the sea. قَدْ Certainly, فَصَّلْنَا We have made clear ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Signs لِقَوْمٍ for a people يَعْلَمُونَ (who) know.
English - And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know. .
हिंदी - और वह वही (ख़ुदा) है जिसने तुम्हारे (नफे के) वास्ते सितारे पैदा किए ताकि तुम जॅगलों और दरियाओं की तारिक़ियों (अंधेरों) में उनसे राह मालूम करो जो लोग वाक़िफकार हैं उनके लिए हमने (अपनी क़ुदरत की) निशानियाँ ख़ूब तफ़सील से बयान कर दी हैं।.
Ayah 98
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَنشَأَكُم (has) produced you مِّن from نَّفْسٍ a soul, وَٰحِدَةٍ single, فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ so (there is) a place of dwelling وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ and a resting place. قَدْ Certainly, فَصَّلْنَا We have made clear ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Signs لِقَوْمٍ for a people يَفْقَهُونَ (who) understand.
English - And it is He who produced you from one soul and [gave you] a place of dwelling and of storage. We have detailed the signs for a people who understand. .
हिंदी - और वह वही ख़ुदा है जिसने तुम लोगों को एक शख़्श से पैदा किया फिर (हर शख़्श के) क़रार की जगह (बाप की पुश्त (पीठ)) और सौंपने की जगह (माँ का पेट) मुक़र्रर है हमने समझदार लोगों के वास्ते (अपनी कुदरत की) निशानियाँ ख़ूब तफसील से बयान कर दी हैं।.
Ayah 99
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَنزَلَ sends down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water, فَأَخْرَجْنَا then We bring forth بِهِۦ with it نَبَاتَ vegetation كُلِّ (of) every شَىْءٍ thing. فَأَخْرَجْنَا Then We bring forth مِنْهُ from it خَضِرًا green plant, نُّخْرِجُ We bring forth مِنْهُ from it حَبًّا grain - مُّتَرَاكِبًا thick clustered. وَمِنَ And from ٱلنَّخْلِ the date-palm, مِن from طَلْعِهَا its spathe قِنْوَانٌ clusters of dates دَانِيَةٌ hanging low. وَجَنَّٰتٍ And gardens مِّنْ of أَعْنَابٍ grapes وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ and the olives وَٱلرُّمَّانَ and the pomegranates مُشْتَبِهًا resembling وَغَيْرَ and not مُتَشَٰبِهٍ resembling. ٱنظُرُوٓا۟ Look إِلَىٰ at ثَمَرِهِۦٓ its fruit إِذَآ when أَثْمَرَ it bears fruit وَيَنْعِهِۦٓ and its ripening. إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكُمْ that لَءَايَٰتٍ (are) signs لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يُؤْمِنُونَ (who) believe.
English - And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce from it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees - of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at [each of] its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. .
हिंदी - और वह वही (क़ादिर तवाना है) जिसने आसमान से पानी बरसाया फिर हम ही ने उसके ज़रिए से हर चीज़ के कोए निकालें फिर हम ही ने उससे हरी भरी टहनियाँ निकालीं कि उससे हम बाहम गुत्थे दाने निकालते हैं और छुहारे के बोर (मुन्जिर) से लटके हुए गुच्छे पैदा किए और अंगूर और ज़ैतून और अनार के बाग़ात जो बाहम सूरत में एक दूसरे से मिलते जुलते और (मजे में) जुदा जुदा जब ये पिघले और पक्के तो उसके फल की तरफ ग़ौर तो करो बेशक अमन में ईमानदार लोगों के लिए बहुत सी (ख़ुदा की) निशानियाँ हैं।.
Ayah 100
وَجَعَلُوا۟ And they make لِلَّهِ with Allah شُرَكَآءَ partners - ٱلْجِنَّ jinn وَخَلَقَهُمْ though He has created them, وَخَرَقُوا۟ and they falsely attribute لَهُۥ to Him بَنِينَ sons وَبَنَٰتٍۭ and daughters بِغَيْرِ without عِلْمٍ knowledge. سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ Glorified is He وَتَعَٰلَىٰ and Exalted عَمَّا above what يَصِفُونَ they attribute.
English - But they have attributed to Allah partners - the jinn, while He has created them - and have fabricated for Him sons and daughters. Exalted is He and high above what they describe .
हिंदी - और उन (कम्बख्तों) ने जिन्नात को ख़ुदा का शरीक बनाया हालॉकि जिन्नात को भी ख़ुदा ही ने पैदा किया उस पर भी उन लोगों ने बे समझे बूझे ख़ुदा के लिए बेटे बेटियाँ गढ़ डालीं जो बातों में लोग (उसकी शान में) बयान करते हैं उससे वह पाक व पाकीज़ा और बरतर है।.
Ayah 101
بَدِيعُ Originator ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth. أَنَّىٰ How يَكُونُ can be لَهُۥ for Him وَلَدٌ a son وَلَمْ while not تَكُن (there) is لَّهُۥ for Him صَٰحِبَةٌ a companion, وَخَلَقَ and He created كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing? وَهُوَ And He بِكُلِّ (is) of every شَىْءٍ thing عَلِيمٌ All-Knower.
English - [He is] Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing. .
हिंदी - सारे आसमान और ज़मीन का मवविद (बनाने वाला) है उसके कोई लड़का क्योंकर हो सकता है जब उसकी कोई बीबी ही नहीं है और उसी ने हर चीज़ को पैदा किया और वही हर चीज़ से खूब वाक़िफ है।.
Ayah 102
ذَٰلِكُمُ That ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah رَبُّكُمْ your Lord, لَآ (there is) no إِلَٰهَ god إِلَّا except هُوَ Him, خَٰلِقُ (the) Creator كُلِّ (of) every شَىْءٍ thing, فَٱعْبُدُوهُ so worship Him. وَهُوَ And He عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing وَكِيلٌ a Guardian.
English - That is Allah, your Lord; there is no deity except Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He is Disposer of all things. .
हिंदी - (लोगों) वही अल्लाह तुम्हारा परवरदिगार है उसके सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं वही हर चीज़ का पैदा करने वाला है तो उसी की इबादत करो और वही हर चीज़ का निगेह बान है।.
Ayah 103
لَّا Not (can) تُدْرِكُهُ grasp Him ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ the visions وَهُوَ but He يُدْرِكُ (can) grasp ٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ (all) the vision, وَهُوَ and He (is) ٱللَّطِيفُ the All-Subtle, ٱلْخَبِيرُ the All-Aware.
English - Vision perceives Him not, but He perceives [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted. .
हिंदी - उसको ऑंखें देख नहीं सकती (न दुनिया में न आखि़रत में) और वह (लोगों की) नज़रों को खूब देखता है और वह बड़ा बारीक बीन (देख़ने वाला) ख़बरदार है।.
Ayah 104
قَدْ Verily, جَآءَكُم has come to you بَصَآئِرُ enlightenment مِن from رَّبِّكُمْ your Lord. فَمَنْ Then whoever أَبْصَرَ sees, فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ then (it is) for his soul, وَمَنْ and whoever عَمِىَ (is) blind فَعَلَيْهَا then (it is) against himself. وَمَآ And not أَنَا۠ (am) I عَلَيْكُم over you بِحَفِيظٍ a guardian.
English - There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against it. And [say], "I am not a guardian over you." .
हिंदी - तुम्हारे पास तो सुझाने वाली चीज़े आ ही चुकीं फिर जो देखे (समझे) तो अपने दम के लिए और जो अन्धा बने तो (उसका ज़रर (नुकसान) भी) ख़ुद उस पर है और (ऐ रसूल उन से कह दो) कि मै तुम लोगों का कुछ निगेहबान तो हूँ नहीं।.
Ayah 105
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus نُصَرِّفُ We explain ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Signs وَلِيَقُولُوا۟ that they (may) say, دَرَسْتَ "You have studied," وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُۥ and that We (may) make it clear لِقَوْمٍ for a people يَعْلَمُونَ who know.
English - And thus do We diversify the verses so the disbelievers will say, "You have studied," and so We may make the Qur’an clear for a people who know. .
हिंदी - और हम (अपनी) आयतें यूं उलट फेरकर बयान करते है (ताकि हुज्जत तमाम हो) और ताकि वह लोग ज़बानी भी इक़रार कर लें कि तुमने (क़ुरान उनके सामने) पढ़ दिया और ताकि जो लोग जानते है उनके लिए (क़ुरान का) खूब वाजेए करके बयान कर दें।.
Ayah 106
ٱتَّبِعْ Follow, مَآ what أُوحِىَ has been inspired إِلَيْكَ to you مِن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord, لَآ (there is) no إِلَٰهَ god إِلَّا except هُوَ Him, وَأَعْرِضْ and turn away عَنِ from ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists.
English - Follow, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you from your Lord - there is no deity except Him - and turn away from those who associate others with Allah. .
हिंदी - जो कुछ तुम्हारे पास तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की तरफ से श्वहीश् की जाए बस उसी पर चलो अल्लाह के सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं और मुशरिको से किनारा कश रहो।.
Ayah 107
وَلَوْ And if شَآءَ (had) willed ٱللَّهُ Allah, مَآ not (they would have) أَشْرَكُوا۟ associated partners (with Him). وَمَا And not جَعَلْنَٰكَ We have made you عَلَيْهِمْ over them حَفِيظًا a guardian, وَمَآ and not أَنتَ you عَلَيْهِم (are) over them بِوَكِيلٍ a manager.
English - But if Allah had willed, they would not have associated. And We have not appointed you over them as a guardian, nor are you a manager over them. .
हिंदी - और अगर ख़ुदा चाहता तो ये लोग शिर्क ही न करते और हमने तुमको उन लोगों का निगेहबान तो बनाया नहीं है और न तुम उनके ज़िम्मेदार हो।.
Ayah 108
وَلَا And (do) not تَسُبُّوا۟ insult ٱلَّذِينَ those whom يَدْعُونَ they invoke مِن from دُونِ other than ٱللَّهِ Allah, فَيَسُبُّوا۟ lest they insult ٱللَّهَ Allah عَدْوًۢا (in) enmity بِغَيْرِ without عِلْمٍ knowledge. كَذَٰلِكَ Thus زَيَّنَّا We have made fair-seeming لِكُلِّ to every أُمَّةٍ community عَمَلَهُمْ their deed. ثُمَّ Then إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِم their Lord مَّرْجِعُهُمْ (is) their return, فَيُنَبِّئُهُم then He will inform them بِمَا about what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - And do not insult those they invoke other than Allah, lest they insult Allah in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made pleasing to every community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them about what they used to do. .
हिंदी - और ये (मुशरेकीन) जिन की अल्लाह के सिवा (ख़ुदा समझ कर) इबादत करते हैं उन्हें तुम बुरा न कहा करो वरना ये लोग भी ख़ुदा को बिना समझें अदावत से बुरा (भला) कह बैठें (और लोग उनकी ख्वाहिश नफसानी के) इस तरह पाबन्द हुए कि गोया हमने ख़ुद हर गिरोह के आमाल उनको सॅवाकर अच्छे कर दिखाए फिर उन्हें तो (आखि़रकार) अपने परवरदिगार की तरफ लौट कर जाना है तब जो कुछ दुनिया में कर रहे थे ख़ुदा उन्हें बता देगा।.
Ayah 109
وَأَقْسَمُوا۟ And they swear بِٱللَّهِ by Allah جَهْدَ strongest أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ (of) their oaths لَئِن that if جَآءَتْهُمْ came to them ءَايَةٌ a sign, لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ they would surely believe بِهَا in it. قُلْ Say, إِنَّمَا "Only ٱلْءَايَٰتُ the signs عِندَ (are) with ٱللَّهِ Allah." وَمَا And what يُشْعِرُكُمْ will make you perceive أَنَّهَآ that [it] إِذَا when جَآءَتْ it comes لَا not يُؤْمِنُونَ they will believe.
English - And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths that if a sign came to them, they would surely believe in it. Say, "The signs are only with Allah." And what will make you perceive that even if a sign came, they would not believe. .
हिंदी - और उन लोगों ने ख़ुदा की सख्त सख्त क़समें खायीं कि अगर उनके पास कोई मौजिजा आए तो वह ज़रूर उस पर ईमान लाएँगे (ऐ रसूल) तुम कहो कि मौजिज़े तो बस ख़ुदा ही के पास हैं और तुम्हें क्या मालूम ये यक़ीनी बात है कि जब मौजिज़ा भी आएगा तो भी ये ईमान न लाएँगे।.
Ayah 110
وَنُقَلِّبُ And We will turn أَفْـِٔدَتَهُمْ their hearts وَأَبْصَٰرَهُمْ and their sights كَمَا (just) as لَمْ not يُؤْمِنُوا۟ they believe بِهِۦٓ in it أَوَّلَ (the) first مَرَّةٍ time. وَنَذَرُهُمْ And We will leave them فِى in طُغْيَٰنِهِمْ their transgression يَعْمَهُونَ wandering blindly.
English - And We will turn away their hearts and their eyes just as they refused to believe in it the first time. And We will leave them in their transgression, wandering blindly. .
हिंदी - और हम उनके दिल और उनकी ऑंखें उलट पलट कर देंगे जिस तरह ये लोग कुरान पर पहली मरतबा ईमान न लाए और हम उन्हें उनकी सरकशी की हालत में छोड़ देंगे कि सरगिरदाँ (परेशान) रहें।.
Ayah 111
وَلَوْ And (even) if أَنَّنَا [that] We (had) نَزَّلْنَآ [We] sent down إِلَيْهِمُ to them ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ the Angels وَكَلَّمَهُمُ and spoken to them ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ the dead وَحَشَرْنَا and We gathered عَلَيْهِمْ before them كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing قُبُلًا face to face, مَّا not كَانُوا۟ they were لِيُؤْمِنُوٓا۟ to believe إِلَّآ unless أَن [that] يَشَآءَ wills ٱللَّهُ Allah. وَلَٰكِنَّ But أَكْثَرَهُمْ most of them يَجْهَلُونَ (are) ignorant.
English - And even if We had sent down to them the angels [with the message] and the dead spoke to them [of it] and We gathered together every [created] thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allah should will. But most of them, [of that], are ignorant. .
हिंदी - और (ऐ रसूल सच तो ये है कि) हम अगर उनके पास फरिश्ते भी नाज़िल करते और उनसे मुर्दे भी बातें करने लगते और तमाम (मख़फ़ी(छुपी)) चीज़ें (जैसे जन्नत व नार वग़ैरह) अगर वह गिरोह उनके सामने ला खड़े करते तो भी ये ईमान लाने वाले न थे मगर जब अल्लाह चाहे लेकिन उनमें के अक्सर नहीं जानते।.
Ayah 112
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus جَعَلْنَا We made لِكُلِّ for every نَبِىٍّ Prophet عَدُوًّا an enemy - شَيَٰطِينَ devils ٱلْإِنسِ (from) the mankind وَٱلْجِنِّ and the jinn, يُوحِى inspiring بَعْضُهُمْ some of them إِلَىٰ to بَعْضٍ others زُخْرُفَ (with) decorative ٱلْقَوْلِ [the] speech غُرُورًا (in) deception. وَلَوْ But if شَآءَ (had) willed رَبُّكَ your Lord مَا not فَعَلُوهُ they (would) have done it, فَذَرْهُمْ so leave them وَمَا and what يَفْتَرُونَ they invent.
English - And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent. .
हिंदी - कि और (ऐ रसूल जिस तरह ये कुफ्फ़ार तुम्हारे दुश्मन हैं) उसी तरह (गोया हमने ख़ुद आज़माइश के लिए शरीर आदमियों और जिनों को हर नबी का दुश्मन बनाया वह लोग एक दूसरे को फरेब देने की ग़रज़ से चिकनी चुपड़ी बातों की सरग़ोशी करते हैं और अगर तुम्हारा परवरदिगार चाहता तो ये लोग) ऐसी हरकत करने न पाते।.
Ayah 113
وَلِتَصْغَىٰٓ And so that incline إِلَيْهِ to it أَفْـِٔدَةُ hearts ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter, وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ and so that they may be pleased with it وَلِيَقْتَرِفُوا۟ and so that they may commit مَا what هُم they مُّقْتَرِفُونَ (are) committing.
English - And [it is] so the hearts of those who disbelieve in the Hereafter will incline toward it and that they will be satisfied with it and that they will commit that which they are committing. .
हिंदी - तो उनको और उनकी इफ़तेरा परदाज़ियों को छोड़ दो और ये (ये सरग़ोशियाँ इसलिए थीं) ताकि जो लोग आखि़रत पर ईमान नहीं लाए उनके दिल उन (की शरारत) की तरफ मायल (खिंच) हो जाएँ और उन्हें पसन्द करें।.
Ayah 114
أَفَغَيْرَ "Then is (it) other than ٱللَّهِ Allah أَبْتَغِى I seek حَكَمًا (as) judge, وَهُوَ while He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَنزَلَ has revealed إِلَيْكُمُ to you ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book مُفَصَّلًا explained in detail?" وَٱلَّذِينَ And those (to) whom ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ We gave them ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book, يَعْلَمُونَ they know أَنَّهُۥ that it مُنَزَّلٌ (is) sent down مِّن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth, فَلَا so (do) not تَكُونَنَّ be مِنَ among ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ the ones who doubt.
English - [Say], "Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters. .
हिंदी - और ताकि जो लोग इफ़तेरा परदाज़ियाँ ये लोग ख़ुद करते हैं वह भी करने लगें (क्या तुम ये चाहते हो कि) मैं ख़ुदा को छोड़ कर किसी और को सालिस तलाश करुँ हालॉकि वह वही ख़ुदा है जिसने तुम्हारे पास वाज़ेए किताब नाज़िल की और जिन लोगों को हमने किताब अता फरमाई है वह यक़ीनी तौर पर जानते हैं कि ये (कुरान भी) तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की तरफ से बरहक़ नाज़िल किया गया है।.
Ayah 115
وَتَمَّتْ And (has been) fulfilled كَلِمَتُ (the) word رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord صِدْقًا (in) truth وَعَدْلًا and justice. لَّا No مُبَدِّلَ one can change لِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ His words, وَهُوَ and He ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer, ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower.
English - And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - तो तुम (कहीं) शक़ करने वालों से न हो जाना और सच्चाई और इन्साफ में तो तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की बात पूरी हो गई कोई उसकी बातों का बदलने वाला नहीं और वही बड़ा सुनने वाला वाक़िफकार है।.
Ayah 116
وَإِن And if تُطِعْ you obey أَكْثَرَ most مَن of فِى (those) in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth يُضِلُّوكَ they will mislead you عَن from سَبِيلِ (the) way ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. إِن Not يَتَّبِعُونَ they follow إِلَّا except ٱلظَّنَّ [the] assumption, وَإِنْ and not هُمْ they (do) إِلَّا except يَخْرُصُونَ guess.
English - And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying. .
हिंदी - और (ऐ रसूल) दुनिया में तो बहुतेरे लोग ऐसे हैं कि तुम उनके कहने पर चलो तो तुमको ख़ुदा की राह से बहका दें ये लोग तो सिर्फ अपने ख्यालात की पैरवी करते हैं और ये लोग तो बस अटकल पच्चू बातें किया करते हैं।.
Ayah 117
إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, هُوَ He أَعْلَمُ knows best مَن who يَضِلُّ strays عَن from سَبِيلِهِۦ His way, وَهُوَ and He أَعْلَمُ (is) most knowing بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ of the guided-ones.
English - Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided. .
हिंदी - (तो तुम क्या जानों) जो लोग उसकी राह से बहके हुए हैं उनको (कुछ) ख़ुदा ही ख़ूब जानता है और वह तो हिदायत याफ्ता लोगों से भी ख़ूब वाक़िफ है।.
Ayah 118
فَكُلُوا۟ So eat مِمَّا of what ذُكِرَ (is) mentioned ٱسْمُ (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْهِ on it, إِن if كُنتُم you are بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦ in His Verses - مُؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - So eat of that [meat] upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned, if you are believers in His verses. .
हिंदी - तो अगर तुम उसकी आयतों पर ईमान रखते हो तो जिस ज़ीबह पर (वक्ते ़ज़िबाह) ख़ुदा का नाम लिया गया हो उसी को खाओ।.
Ayah 119
وَمَا And what لَكُمْ for you أَلَّا that not تَأْكُلُوا۟ you eat مِمَّا of what ذُكِرَ has been mentioned ٱسْمُ (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْهِ on it, وَقَدْ when indeed, فَصَّلَ He (has) explained in detail لَكُم to you مَّا what حَرَّمَ He (has) forbidden عَلَيْكُمْ to you إِلَّا except مَا what ٱضْطُرِرْتُمْ you are compelled إِلَيْهِ to it. وَإِنَّ And indeed, كَثِيرًا many لَّيُضِلُّونَ surely lead astray بِأَهْوَآئِهِم by their (vain) desires بِغَيْرِ without عِلْمٍ knowledge. إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, هُوَ He أَعْلَمُ (is) most knowing بِٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ of the transgressors.
English - And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned while He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, excepting that to which you are compelled. And indeed do many lead [others] astray through their [own] inclinations without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord - He is most knowing of the transgressors. .
हिंदी - और तुम्हें क्या हो गया है कि जिस पर ख़ुदा का नाम लिया गया हो उसमें नहीं खाते हो हालॉकि जो चीज़ें उसने तुम पर हराम कर दीं हैं वह तुमसे तफसीलन बयान कर दीं हैं मगर (हाँ) जब तुम मजबूर हो तो अलबत्ता (हराम भी खा सकते हो) और बहुतेरे तो (ख्वाहमख्वाह) अपनी नफसानी ख्वाहिशों से बे समझे बूझे (लोगों को) बहका देते हैं और तुम्हारा परवरदिगार तो हक़ से तजाविज़ करने वालों से ख़ूब वाक़िफ है।.
Ayah 120
وَذَرُوا۟ Forsake ظَٰهِرَ open ٱلْإِثْمِ [the] sins وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓ and the secret. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَكْسِبُونَ earn ٱلْإِثْمَ [the] sin سَيُجْزَوْنَ they will be recompensed بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَقْتَرِفُونَ commit.
English - And leave what is apparent of sin and what is concealed thereof. Indeed, those who earn [blame for] sin will be recompensed for that which they used to commit. .
हिंदी - (ऐ लोगों) ज़ाहिरी और बातिनी गुनाह (दोनों) को (बिल्कुल) छोड़ दो जो लोग गुनाह करते हैं उन्हें अपने आमाल का अनक़रीब ही बदला दिया जाएगा।.
Ayah 121
وَلَا And (do) not تَأْكُلُوا۟ eat مِمَّا of that, لَمْ not يُذْكَرِ has been mentioned ٱسْمُ (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْهِ on it, وَإِنَّهُۥ and indeed, it (is) لَفِسْقٌ grave disobedience. وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ the devils لَيُوحُونَ inspire إِلَىٰٓ to أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ their friends لِيُجَٰدِلُوكُمْ so that they dispute with you, وَإِنْ and if أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ you obey them, إِنَّكُمْ indeed, you لَمُشْرِكُونَ (would) be the polytheists.
English - And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is grave disobedience. And indeed do the devils inspire their allies [among men] to dispute with you. And if you were to obey them, indeed, you would be associators [of others with Him]. .
हिंदी - और जिस (ज़बीहे) पर ख़ुदा का नाम न लिया गया उसमें से मत खाओ (क्योंकि) ये बेशक बदचलनी है और शयातीन तो अपने हवा ख़वाहों के दिल में वसवसा डाला ही करते हैं ताकि वह तुमसे (बेकार) झगड़े किया करें और अगर (कहीं) तुमने उनका कहना मान लिया तो (समझ रखो कि) बेशुबहा तुम भी मुशरिक हो।.
Ayah 122
أَوَمَن Is (one) who كَانَ was مَيْتًا dead فَأَحْيَيْنَٰهُ and We gave him life وَجَعَلْنَا and We made لَهُۥ for him نُورًا light, يَمْشِى he walks بِهِۦ whereby فِى among ٱلنَّاسِ the people, كَمَن like (one) who مَّثَلُهُۥ [similar to him] فِى (is) in ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ the darknesses, لَيْسَ not بِخَارِجٍ he comes out مِّنْهَا of it? كَذَٰلِكَ Thus زُيِّنَ is made fair-seeming لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ to the disbelievers مَا what كَانُوا۟ they were يَعْمَلُونَ doing.
English - And is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which to walk among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge therefrom? Thus it has been made pleasing to the disbelievers that which they were doing. .
हिंदी - क्या जो शख़्श (पहले) मुर्दा था फिर हमने उसको ज़िन्दा किया और उसके लिए एक नूर बनाया जिसके ज़रिए वह लोगों में (बेतकल्लुफ़) चलता फिरता है उस शख़्श का सामना हो सकता है जिसकी ये हालत है कि (हर तरफ से) अंधेरे में (फँसा हुआ है) कि वहाँ से किसी तरह निकल नहीं सकता (जिस तरह मोमिनों के वास्ते ईमान आरास्ता किया गया) उसी तरह काफिरों के वास्ते उनके आमाल (बद) आरास्ता कर दिए गए हैं।.
Ayah 123
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus جَعَلْنَا We placed فِى in كُلِّ every قَرْيَةٍ city أَكَٰبِرَ greatest مُجْرِمِيهَا (of) its criminals, لِيَمْكُرُوا۟ so that they plot فِيهَا therein. وَمَا And not يَمْكُرُونَ they plot إِلَّا except بِأَنفُسِهِمْ against themselves وَمَا and not يَشْعُرُونَ they perceive.
English - And thus We have placed within every city the greatest of its criminals to conspire therein. But they conspire not except against themselves, and they perceive [it] not. .
हिंदी - (कि भला ही भला नज़र आता है) और जिस तरह मक्के में है उसी तरह हमने हर बस्ती में उनके कुसूरवारों को सरदार बनाया ताकि उनमें मक्कारी किया करें और वह लोग जो कुछ करते हैं अपने ही हक़ में (बुरा) करते हैं और समझते (तक) नहीं।.
Ayah 124
وَإِذَا And when جَآءَتْهُمْ comes to them ءَايَةٌ a Sign قَالُوا۟ they say, لَن "Never نُّؤْمِنَ we will believe حَتَّىٰ until نُؤْتَىٰ we are given مِثْلَ like مَآ what أُوتِىَ was given رُسُلُ (to the) Messengers ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah." ٱللَّهُ Allah أَعْلَمُ knows best حَيْثُ where يَجْعَلُ He places رِسَالَتَهُۥ His Message. سَيُصِيبُ Will afflict ٱلَّذِينَ those who أَجْرَمُوا۟ committed crimes صَغَارٌ a humiliation عِندَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah وَعَذَابٌ and a punishment شَدِيدٌۢ severe بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَمْكُرُونَ plot.
English - And when a sign comes to them, they say, "Never will we believe until we are given like that which was given to the messengers of Allah." Allah is most knowing of where He places His message. There will afflict those who committed crimes debasement before Allah and severe punishment for what they used to conspire. .
हिंदी - और जब उनके पास कोई निशानी (नबी की तसदीक़ के लिए) आई है तो कहते हैं जब तक हमको ख़ुद वैसी चीज़ (वही वग़ैरह) न दी जाएगी जो पैग़म्बराने ख़ुदा को दी गई है उस वक्त तक तो हम ईमान न लाएँगे और ख़ुदा जहाँ (जिस दिल में) अपनी पैग़म्बरी क़रार देता है उसकी (काबलियत व सलाहियत) को ख़ूब जानता है जो लोग (उस जुर्म के) मुजरिम हैं उनको अनक़रीब उनकी मक्कारी की सज़ा में ख़ुदा के यहाँ बड़ी ज़िल्लत और सख्त अज़ाब होगा।.
Ayah 125
فَمَن So whoever يُرِدِ wants ٱللَّهُ Allah أَن that يَهْدِيَهُۥ He guides him - يَشْرَحْ He expands صَدْرَهُۥ his breast لِلْإِسْلَٰمِ to Islam; وَمَن and whoever يُرِدْ He wants أَن that يُضِلَّهُۥ He lets him go astray يَجْعَلْ He makes صَدْرَهُۥ his breast ضَيِّقًا tight حَرَجًا and constricted كَأَنَّمَا as though يَصَّعَّدُ he (were) climbing فِى into ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky. كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يَجْعَلُ places ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلرِّجْسَ the filth عَلَى on ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe.
English - So whoever Allah wants to guide - He expands his breast to [contain] Islam; and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe. .
हिंदी - तो ख़ुदा जिस शख़्श को राह रास्त दिखाना चाहता है उसके सीने को इस्लाम (की दौलियत) के वास्ते (साफ़ और) कुशादा (चौड़ा) कर देता है और जिसको गुमराही की हालत में छोड़ना चाहता है उनके सीने को तंग दुश्वार ग़ुबार कर देता है गोया (कुबूल ईमान) उसके लिए आसमान पर चढ़ना है जो लोग ईमान नहीं लाते ख़ुदा उन पर बुराई को उसी तरह मुसल्लत कर देता है।.
Ayah 126
وَهَٰذَا And this صِرَٰطُ (is the) way رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord - مُسْتَقِيمًا straight. قَدْ Certainly فَصَّلْنَا We have detailed ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Verses لِقَوْمٍ for a people يَذَّكَّرُونَ who take heed.
English - And this is the path of your Lord, [leading] straight. We have detailed the verses for a people who remember. .
हिंदी - और (ऐ रसूल) ये (इस्लाम) तुम्हारे परवरदिगार का (बनाया हुआ) सीधा रास्ता है इबरत हासिल करने वालों के वास्ते हमने अपने आयात तफसीलन बयान कर दिए हैं।.
Ayah 127
لَهُمْ For them دَارُ (will be) home ٱلسَّلَٰمِ (of) [the] peace عِندَ with رَبِّهِمْ their Lord. وَهُوَ And He وَلِيُّهُم (will be) their protecting friend بِمَا because كَانُوا۟ (of what) they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - For them will be the Home of Peace with their Lord. And He will be their protecting friend because of what they used to do. .
हिंदी - उनके वास्ते उनके परवरदिगार के यहाँ अमन व चौन का घर (बेहश्त) है और दुनिया में जो कारगुज़ारियाँ उन्होने की थीं उसके ऐवज़ ख़ुदा उन का सरपरस्त होगा।.
Ayah 128
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يَحْشُرُهُمْ He will gather them جَمِيعًا all, يَٰمَعْشَرَ (and will say), "O assembly ٱلْجِنِّ (of) [the] jinn! قَدِ Certainly, ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم you have (misled) many مِّنَ of ٱلْإِنسِ the mankind." وَقَالَ And will say أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم their friends مِّنَ among ٱلْإِنسِ the men, رَبَّنَا "Our Lord ٱسْتَمْتَعَ profited بَعْضُنَا some of us بِبَعْضٍ by others, وَبَلَغْنَآ and we have reached أَجَلَنَا our term ٱلَّذِىٓ which أَجَّلْتَ You appointed لَنَا for us." قَالَ He will say, ٱلنَّارُ "The Fire مَثْوَىٰكُمْ (is) your abode, خَٰلِدِينَ will abide forever فِيهَآ in it, إِلَّا except مَا (for) what شَآءَ wills ٱللَّهُ Allah إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord حَكِيمٌ (is) All-Wise, عَلِيمٌ All-Knowing.
English - And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term, which you appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing." .
हिंदी - और (ऐ रसूल वह दिन याद दिलाओ) जिस दिन ख़ुदा सब लोगों को जमा करेगा और शयातीन से फरमाएगा, ऐ गिरोह जिन्नात तुमने तो बहुतेरे आदमियों को (बहका बहका कर) अपनी जमाअत बड़ी कर ली (और) आदमियों से जो लोग (उन शयातीन के दुनिया में) दोस्त थे कहेंगे ऐ हमारे पालने वाले (दुनिया में) हमने एक दूसरे से फायदा हासिल किया और अपने किए की सज़ा पाने को, जो वक्त तू ने हमारे लिए मुअय्युन किया था अब हम अपने उस वक्त (क़यामत) में पहुँच गए ख़ुदा उसके जवाब में, फरमाएगा तुम सब का ठिकाना जहन्नुम है और उसमें हमेशा रहोगे मगर जिसे ख़ुदा चाहे (नजात दे) बेशक तेरा परवरदिगार हिकमत वाला वाक़िफकार है।.
Ayah 129
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus نُوَلِّى We make friends, بَعْضَ some (of) ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers بَعْضًۢا (to) others بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَكْسِبُونَ earn.
English - And thus will We make some of the wrongdoers allies of others for what they used to earn. .
हिंदी - और इसी तरह हम बाज़ ज़ालिमों को बाज़ का उनके करतूतों की बदौलत सरपरस्त बनाएँगे।.
Ayah 130
يَٰمَعْشَرَ O assembly ٱلْجِنِّ (of) [the] jinn وَٱلْإِنسِ and [the] men! أَلَمْ Did (there) not يَأْتِكُمْ come to you رُسُلٌ Messengers مِّنكُمْ from (among) you, يَقُصُّونَ relating عَلَيْكُمْ to you ءَايَٰتِى My Verses وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ and warning you لِقَآءَ (of the) meeting يَوْمِكُمْ (of) your day, هَٰذَا this?" قَالُوا۟ They will say, شَهِدْنَا "We bear witness عَلَىٰٓ against أَنفُسِنَا ourselves." وَغَرَّتْهُمُ And deluded them ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world, وَشَهِدُوا۟ and they will bear witness عَلَىٰٓ against أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves أَنَّهُمْ that they كَانُوا۟ were كَٰفِرِينَ disbelievers.
English - "O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, relating to you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves"; and the worldly life had deluded them, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. .
हिंदी - (फिर हम पूछेंगे कि क्यों) ऐ गिरोह जिन व इन्स क्या तुम्हारे पास तुम ही में के पैग़म्बर नहीं आए जो तुम तुमसे हमारी आयतें बयान करें और तुम्हें तुम्हारे उस रोज़ (क़यामत) के पेश आने से डराएँ वह सब अर्ज करेंगे (बेशक आए थे) हम ख़ुद अपने ऊपर आप अपने (खि़लाफ) गवाही देते हैं (वाकई) उनको दुनिया की (चन्द रोज़) ज़िन्दगी ने उन्हें अंधेरे में डाल रखा और उन लोगों ने अपने खि़लाफ आप गवाही दीं।.
Ayah 131
ذَٰلِكَ That (is because) أَن [that] لَّمْ not يَكُن is رَّبُّكَ your Lord مُهْلِكَ one who destroys ٱلْقُرَىٰ the cities بِظُلْمٍ for (their) wrongdoing وَأَهْلُهَا while their people غَٰفِلُونَ (are) unaware.
English - That is because your Lord would not destroy the cities for wrongdoing while their people were unaware. .
हिंदी - बेशक ये सब के सब काफिर थे और ये (पैग़म्बरों का भेजना सिर्फ) उस वजह से है कि तुम्हारा परवरदिगार कभी बस्तियों को ज़ुल्म ज़बरदस्ती से वहाँ के बाशिन्दों के ग़फलत की हालत में हलाक नहीं किया करता।.
Ayah 132
وَلِكُلٍّ And for all دَرَجَٰتٌ (will be) degrees مِّمَّا for what عَمِلُوا۟ they did. وَمَا And not رَبُّكَ (is) your Lord بِغَٰفِلٍ unaware عَمَّا about what يَعْمَلُونَ they do.
English - And for all are degrees from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do. .
हिंदी - और जिसने जैसा (भला या बुरा) किया है उसी के मुवाफ़िक हर एक के दरजात हैं।.
Ayah 133
وَرَبُّكَ And your Lord ٱلْغَنِىُّ (is) the Self-Sufficient, ذُو (the) Possessor ٱلرَّحْمَةِ (of) mercy. إِن If يَشَأْ He wills يُذْهِبْكُمْ He can take you away وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ and grant succession مِنۢ from بَعْدِكُم after you مَّا (to) whom يَشَآءُ He wills. كَمَآ as أَنشَأَكُم He raised you مِّن from ذُرِّيَّةِ the descendants قَوْمٍ (of) people, ءَاخَرِينَ other.
English - And your Lord is the Free of need, the possessor of mercy. If He wills, he can do away with you and give succession after you to whomever He wills, just as He produced you from the descendants of another people. .
हिंदी - और जो कुछ वह लोग करते हैं तुम्हारा परवरदिगार उससे बेख़बर नहीं और तुम्हारा परवरदिगार बे परवाह रहम वाला है - अगर चाहे तो तुम सबके सबको (दुनिया से उड़ा) ले लाए और तुम्हारे बाद जिसको चाहे तुम्हार जानशीन बनाए जिस तरह आखि़र तुम्हें दूसरे लोगों की औलाद से पैदा किया है।.
Ayah 134
إِنَّ Indeed, مَا what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised لَءَاتٍ (is) sure to come. وَمَآ And not أَنتُم (can) you بِمُعْجِزِينَ escape (it).
English - Indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you will not cause failure [to Allah]. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिस चीज़ का तुमसे वायदा किया जाता है वह ज़रूर (एक न एक दिन) आने वाली है।.
Ayah 135
قُلْ Say, يَٰقَوْمِ "O my people! ٱعْمَلُوا۟ Work عَلَىٰ on مَكَانَتِكُمْ your position. إِنِّى Indeed, I am عَامِلٌ a worker. فَسَوْفَ And soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know مَن who تَكُونُ will have لَهُۥ for himself عَٰقِبَةُ (in) the end, ٱلدَّارِ (a good) home. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed [he], لَا (will) not يُفْلِحُ succeed ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers."
English - Say, "O my people, work according to your position; [for] indeed, I am working. And you are going to know who will have succession in the home. Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed. .
हिंदी - और तुम उसके लाने में (ख़ुदा को) आजिज़ नहीं कर सकते (ऐ रसूल तुम उनसे) कहो कि ऐ मेरी क़ौम तुम बजाए ख़ुद जो चाहो करो मैं (बजाए ख़ुद) अमल कर रहा हूँ फिर अनक़रीब तुम्हें मालूम हो जाएगा कि आख़ेरत (बेहश्त) किसके लिए है (तुम्हारे लिए या हमारे लिए) ज़ालिम लोग तो हरगिज़ कामयाब न होंगे।.
Ayah 136
وَجَعَلُوا۟ And they assign لِلَّهِ to Allah مِمَّا out of what ذَرَأَ He produced مِنَ of ٱلْحَرْثِ the crops وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ and the cattle نَصِيبًا a share فَقَالُوا۟ and they say, هَٰذَا "This لِلَّهِ (is) for Allah," بِزَعْمِهِمْ by their claim, وَهَٰذَا "And this لِشُرَكَآئِنَا (is) for our partners." فَمَا But what كَانَ is لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ for their partners فَلَا (does) not يَصِلُ reach إِلَى [to] ٱللَّهِ Allah, وَمَا while what كَانَ is لِلَّهِ for Allah فَهُوَ then it يَصِلُ reaches إِلَىٰ [to] شُرَكَآئِهِمْ their partners. سَآءَ Evil مَا (is) what يَحْكُمُونَ they judge.
English - And the polytheists assign to Allah from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allah," by their claim, " and this is for our partners [associated with Him]." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allah, while what is for Allah - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule. .
हिंदी - और ये लोग ख़ुदा की पैदा की हुई खेती और चौपायों में से हिस्सा क़रार देते हैं और अपने ख्याल के मुवाफिक कहते हैं कि ये तो ख़ुदा का (हिस्सा) है और ये हमारे शरीकों का (यानि जिनको हमने ख़ुदा का शरीक बनाया) फिर जो ख़ास उनके शरीकों का है वह तो ख़ुदा तक नहीं पहुँचने का और जो हिस्सा ख़ुदा का है वो उसके शरीकों तक पहुँच जाएगा ये क्या ही बुरा हुक्म लगाते हैं और उसी तरह बहुतेरे मुशरकीन को उनके शरीकों ने अपने बच्चों को मार डालने को अच्छा कर दिखाया है।.
Ayah 137
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And likewise زَيَّنَ made pleasing لِكَثِيرٍ to many مِّنَ of ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists - قَتْلَ (the) killing أَوْلَٰدِهِمْ (of) their children - شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ their partners - لِيُرْدُوهُمْ so that they may ruin them وَلِيَلْبِسُوا۟ and that they make confusing عَلَيْهِمْ to them دِينَهُمْ their religion. وَلَوْ And if شَآءَ (had) willed ٱللَّهُ Allah مَا not فَعَلُوهُ (would) they have done so. فَذَرْهُمْ So leave them وَمَا and what يَفْتَرُونَ they invent.
English - And likewise, to many of the polytheists their partners have made [to seem] pleasing the killing of their children in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if Allah had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent. .
हिंदी - ताकि उन्हें (बदी) हलाकत में डाल दें और उनके सच्चे दीन को उन पर मिला जुला दें और अगर ख़ुदा चाहता तो लोग ऐसा काम न करते तो तुम (ऐ रसूल) और उनकी इफ़तेरा परदाज़ियों को (ख़ुदा पर) छोड़ दो और ये लोग अपने ख्याल के मुवाफिक कहने लगे कि ये चौपाए और ये खेती अछूती है।.
Ayah 138
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, هَٰذِهِۦٓ "These أَنْعَٰمٌ (are) cattle وَحَرْثٌ and crops, حِجْرٌ forbidden, لَّا no (one) يَطْعَمُهَآ can eat them إِلَّا except مَن whom نَّشَآءُ we will," بِزَعْمِهِمْ by their claim. وَأَنْعَٰمٌ And cattle, حُرِّمَتْ forbidden ظُهُورُهَا (are) their backs وَأَنْعَٰمٌ and cattle لَّا not يَذْكُرُونَ they mention ٱسْمَ (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْهَا on it ٱفْتِرَآءً (as) an invention عَلَيْهِ against Him. سَيَجْزِيهِم He will recompense them بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَفْتَرُونَ invent.
English - And they say, "These animals and crops are forbidden; no one may eat from them except whom we will," by their claim. And there are those [camels] whose backs are forbidden [by them] and those upon which the name of Allah is not mentioned - [all of this] an invention of untruth about Him. He will punish them for what they were inventing. .
हिंदी - उनको सिवा उसके जिसे हम चाहें कोई नहीं खा सकता और (उनका ये भी ख्याल है) कि कुछ चारपाए ऐसे हैं जिनकी पीठ पर सवारी लादना हराम किया गया और कुछ चारपाए ऐसे है जिन पर (ज़िबह के वक्त) ख़ुदा का नाम तक नहीं लेते और फिर यह ढकोसले (ख़ुदा की तरफ मनसूब करते) हैं ये सब ख़ुदा पर इफ़तेरा व बोहतान है ख़ुदा उनके इफ़तेरा परदाज़ियों को बहुत जल्द सज़ा देगा।.
Ayah 139
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, مَا "What فِى (is) in بُطُونِ (the) wombs هَٰذِهِ (of) these ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ cattle خَالِصَةٌ (is) exclusively لِّذُكُورِنَا for our males وَمُحَرَّمٌ and forbidden عَلَىٰٓ on أَزْوَٰجِنَا our spouses. وَإِن But if يَكُن is مَّيْتَةً (born) dead, فَهُمْ then they (all) فِيهِ in it شُرَكَآءُ (are) partners." سَيَجْزِيهِمْ He will recompense them وَصْفَهُمْ (for) their attribution. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He حَكِيمٌ (is) All-Wise, عَلِيمٌ All-Knowing.
English - And they say, "What is in the bellies of these animals is exclusively for our males and forbidden to our females. But if it is [born] dead, then all of them have shares therein." He will punish them for their description. Indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. .
हिंदी - और कुफ्फ़ार ये भी कहते हैं कि जो बच्चा (वक्त ़ज़बाह) उन जानवरों के पेट में है (जिन्हें हमने बुतों के नाम कर छोड़ा और ज़िन्दा पैदा होता तो) सिर्फ हमारे मर्दों के लिए हलाल है और हमारी औरतों पर हराम है और अगर वह मरा हुआ हो तो सब के सब उसमें शरीक हैं ख़ुदा अनक़रीब उनको बातें बनाने की सज़ा देगा बेशक वह हिकमत वाला बड़ा वाक़िफकार है।.
Ayah 140
قَدْ Certainly, خَسِرَ (are) lost ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَتَلُوٓا۟ killed أَوْلَٰدَهُمْ their children سَفَهًۢا (in) foolishness بِغَيْرِ without عِلْمٍ knowledge وَحَرَّمُوا۟ and forbid مَا what رَزَقَهُمُ (bas been) provided (to) them ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah - ٱفْتِرَآءً inventing (lies) عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah. قَدْ Certainly, ضَلُّوا۟ they have gone astray وَمَا and not كَانُوا۟ they are مُهْتَدِينَ guided-ones.
English - Those will have lost who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what Allah had provided for them, inventing untruth about Allah. They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन लोगों ने अपनी औलाद को बे समझे बूझे बेवकूफी से मार डाला और जो रोज़ी ख़ुदा ने उन्हें दी थी उसे ख़ुदा पर इफ़तेरा (बोहतान) बाँध कर अपने ऊपर हराम कर डाला और वह सख्त घाटे में है ये यक़ीनन राहे हक़ से भटक गऐ और ये हिदायत पाने वाले थे भी नहीं।.
Ayah 141
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَنشَأَ produced جَنَّٰتٍ gardens مَّعْرُوشَٰتٍ trellised وَغَيْرَ and other than مَعْرُوشَٰتٍ trellised وَٱلنَّخْلَ and the date-palm وَٱلزَّرْعَ and the crops, مُخْتَلِفًا diverse أُكُلُهُۥ (are) its taste, وَٱلزَّيْتُونَ and the olives وَٱلرُّمَّانَ and the pomegranates مُتَشَٰبِهًا similar وَغَيْرَ and other than مُتَشَٰبِهٍ similar. كُلُوا۟ Eat مِن of ثَمَرِهِۦٓ its fruit إِذَآ when أَثْمَرَ it bears fruit, وَءَاتُوا۟ and give حَقَّهُۥ its due يَوْمَ (on the) day حَصَادِهِۦ (of) its harvest. وَلَا And (do) not تُسْرِفُوٓا۟ (be) extravagant. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He لَا (does) not يُحِبُّ love ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ the ones who are extravagant.
English - And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of [each of] its fruit when it yields and give its due [zakah] on the day of its harvest. And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess. .
हिंदी - और वह तो वही ख़ुदा है जिसने बहुतेरे बाग़ पैदा किए (जिनमें मुख्तलिफ दरख्त हैं - कुछ तो अंगूर की तरह टट्टियों पर) चढ़ाए हुए और (कुछ) बे चढ़ाए हुए और खजूर के दरख्त और खेती जिसमें फल मुख्तलिफ़ किस्म के हैं और ज़ैतून और अनार बाज़ तो सूरत रंग मज़े में, मिलते जुलते और (बाज़) बेमेल (लोगों) जब ये चीज़े फलें तो उनका फल खाओ और उन चीज़ों के काटने के दिन ख़ुदा का हक़ (ज़कात) दे दो और ख़बरदार फज़ूल ख़र्ची न करो - क्यों कि वह (ख़ुदा) फुज़ूल ख़र्चे से हरगिज़ उलफत नहीं रखता।.
Ayah 142
وَمِنَ And of ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ the cattle حَمُولَةً (are some for) burden وَفَرْشًا and (some for) meat. كُلُوا۟ Eat مِمَّا of what رَزَقَكُمُ (has been) provided (to) you ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah, وَلَا and (do) not تَتَّبِعُوا۟ follow خُطُوَٰتِ (the) footsteps ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ (of) Shaitaan. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he لَكُمْ (is) to you عَدُوٌّ an enemy مُّبِينٌ open.
English - And of the grazing livestock are carriers [of burdens] and those [too] small. Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. .
हिंदी - और चारपायों में से कुछ तो बोझ उठाने वाले (बड़े बड़े) और कुछ ज़मीन से लगे हुए (छोटे छोटे) पैदा किए ख़ुदा ने जो तुम्हें रोज़ी दी है उस में से खाओ और शैतान के क़दम ब क़दम न चलो।.
Ayah 143
ثَمَٰنِيَةَ Eight أَزْوَٰجٍ pairs - مِّنَ of ٱلضَّأْنِ the sheep, ٱثْنَيْنِ two وَمِنَ and of ٱلْمَعْزِ the goats ٱثْنَيْنِ two. قُلْ Say, ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ "(Are) the two males حَرَّمَ He has forbidden أَمِ or ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ the two females أَمَّا or what ٱشْتَمَلَتْ contains عَلَيْهِ [in it] أَرْحَامُ (the) wombs ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ (of) the two females? نَبِّـُٔونِى Inform me بِعِلْمٍ with knowledge, إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَٰدِقِينَ truthful."
English - [They are] eight mates – of the sheep, two and of the goats, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge, if you should be truthful." .
हिंदी - (क्यों कि) वह तो यक़ीनन तुम्हारा खुला हुआ दुश्मन है (ख़ुदा ने नर मादा मिलाकर) आठ (क़िस्म के) जोड़े पैदा किए हैं - भेड़ से (नर मादा) दो और बकरी से (नर मादा) दो (ऐ रसूल उन काफिरों से) पूछो तो कि ख़ुदा ने (उन दोनों भेड़ बकरी के) दोनों नरों को हराम कर दिया है या उन दोनों मादनियों को या उस बच्चे को जो उन दोनों मादनियों के पेट से अन्दर लिए हुए हैं।.
Ayah 144
وَمِنَ And of ٱلْإِبِلِ the camels ٱثْنَيْنِ two وَمِنَ and of ٱلْبَقَرِ the cows ٱثْنَيْنِ two. قُلْ Say, ءَآلذَّكَرَيْنِ "(Is it) the two males حَرَّمَ He (has) forbidden أَمِ or ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ the two females أَمَّا or what ٱشْتَمَلَتْ contains عَلَيْهِ [in it] أَرْحَامُ (the) wombs ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ (of) the two females? أَمْ Or كُنتُمْ were you شُهَدَآءَ witnesses إِذْ when وَصَّىٰكُمُ enjoined you ٱللَّهُ Allah بِهَٰذَا with this? فَمَنْ Then who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّنِ than (one) who ٱفْتَرَىٰ invents عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie لِّيُضِلَّ to mislead ٱلنَّاسَ the people بِغَيْرِ without عِلْمٍ knowledge? إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide ٱلْقَوْمَ the people, ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoing."
English - And of the camels, two and of the cattle, two. Say, "Is it the two males He has forbidden or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah charged you with this? Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people." .
हिंदी - अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो ज़रा समझ के मुझे बताओ और ऊँट के (नर मादा) दो और गाय के (नर मादा) दो (ऐ रसूल तुम उनसे) पूछो कि ख़ुदा ने उन दोनों (ऊँट गाय के) नरों को हराम किया या दोनों मादनियोंको या उस बच्चे को जो दोनों मादनियों के पेट अपने अन्दर लिये हुए है क्या जिस वक्त ख़ुदा ने तुमको उसका हुक्म दिया था तुम उस वक्त मौजूद थे फिर जो ख़ुदा पर झूठ बोताहन बॉधे उससे ज्यादा ज़ालिम कौन होगा ताकि लोगों के वे समझे बूझे गुमराह करें ख़ुदा हरगिज़ ज़ालिम क़ौम में मंज़िले मक़सूद तक नहीं पहुचाता।.
Ayah 145
قُل Say, لَّآ "Not أَجِدُ (do) I find فِى in مَآ what أُوحِىَ has been revealed إِلَىَّ to me مُحَرَّمًا (anything) forbidden عَلَىٰ to طَاعِمٍ an eater يَطْعَمُهُۥٓ who eats it إِلَّآ except أَن that يَكُونَ it be مَيْتَةً dead أَوْ or دَمًا blood مَّسْفُوحًا poured forth أَوْ or لَحْمَ (the) flesh خِنزِيرٍ (of) swine - فَإِنَّهُۥ for indeed, it رِجْسٌ (is) filth - أَوْ or فِسْقًا (it be) disobedience, أُهِلَّ [is] dedicated لِغَيْرِ to other than ٱللَّهِ Allah بِهِۦ [on it]. فَمَنِ But whoever ٱضْطُرَّ (is) compelled غَيْرَ not بَاغٍ desiring وَلَا and not عَادٍ transgressing, فَإِنَّ then indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful."
English - Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine – for indeed, it is impure – or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful." .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम कहो कि मै तो जो (क़ुरान) मेरे पास वही के तौर पर आया है उसमें कोई चीज़ किसी खाने वाले पर जो उसको खाए हराम नहीं पाता मगर जबकि वह मुर्दा या बहता हुआ ख़़ून या सूअर का गोश्त हो तो बेशक ये (चीजे) नापाक और हराम हैं या (वह जानवर) नाफरमानी का बाएस हो कि (वक्ते ़ज़िबहा) ख़ुदा के सिवा किसी और का नाम लिया गया हो फिर जो शख्स (हर तरह) बेबस हो जाए (और) नाफरमान व सरकश न हो और इस हालत में खाए तो अलबत्ता तुम्हारा परवरदिगार बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है।.
Ayah 146
وَعَلَى And to ٱلَّذِينَ those who هَادُوا۟ are Jews حَرَّمْنَا We forbade كُلَّ every ذِى (animal) with ظُفُرٍ claws, وَمِنَ and of ٱلْبَقَرِ the cows وَٱلْغَنَمِ and the sheep حَرَّمْنَا We forbade عَلَيْهِمْ to them شُحُومَهُمَآ their fat إِلَّا except مَا what حَمَلَتْ carried ظُهُورُهُمَآ their backs أَوِ or ٱلْحَوَايَآ the entrails أَوْ or مَا what ٱخْتَلَطَ (is) joined بِعَظْمٍ with the bone. ذَٰلِكَ That جَزَيْنَٰهُم (is) their recompense بِبَغْيِهِمْ for their rebellion. وَإِنَّا And indeed, We لَصَٰدِقُونَ [surely] are truthful.
English - And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful. .
हिंदी - और हमने यहूदियों पर तमाम नाख़ूनदार जानवर हराम कर दिये थे और गाय और बकरी दोनों की चरबियां भी उन पर हराम कर दी थी मगर जो चरबी उनकी दोनों पीठ या आतों पर लगी हो या हडड्ी से मिली हुई हो (वह हलाल थी) ये हमने उन्हें उनकी सरक़शी की सज़ा दी थी और उसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि हम ज़रूर सच्चे हैं।.
Ayah 147
فَإِن But if كَذَّبُوكَ they deny you فَقُل then say, رَّبُّكُمْ "Your Lord ذُو (is the) Possessor رَحْمَةٍ (of) Mercy وَٰسِعَةٍ Vast, وَلَا but not يُرَدُّ will be turned back بَأْسُهُۥ His wrath عَنِ from ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ (who are) criminals."
English - So if they deny you, [O Muhammad], say, "Your Lord is the possessor of vast mercy; but His punishment cannot be repelled from the people who are criminals." .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) पर अगर वह तुम्हें झुठलाएं तो तुम (जवाब) में कहो कि (अगरचे) तुम्हारा परवरदिगार बड़ी वसीह रहमत वाला है मगर उसका अज़ाब गुनाहगार लोगों से टलता भी नहीं।.
Ayah 148
سَيَقُولُ Will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who أَشْرَكُوا۟ associate partners (with Allah), لَوْ "If شَآءَ Had willed ٱللَّهُ Allah, مَآ not أَشْرَكْنَا we (would) have associated partners (with Allah) وَلَآ and not ءَابَآؤُنَا our forefathers وَلَا and not حَرَّمْنَا we (would) have forbidden مِن [of] شَىْءٍ anything." كَذَٰلِكَ Likewise كَذَّبَ denied ٱلَّذِينَ those who مِن (were from) قَبْلِهِمْ before them حَتَّىٰ until ذَاقُوا۟ they tasted بَأْسَنَا Our wrath. قُلْ Say, هَلْ "Is عِندَكُم with you مِّنْ [of] عِلْمٍ any knowledge فَتُخْرِجُوهُ then produce it لَنَآ for us? إِن Not تَتَّبِعُونَ you follow إِلَّا except ٱلظَّنَّ the assumption, وَإِنْ and not أَنتُمْ you (do) إِلَّا but تَخْرُصُونَ guess."
English - Those who associated with Allah will say, "If Allah had willed, we would not have associated [anything] and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything." Likewise did those before deny until they tasted Our punishment. Say, "Do you have any knowledge that you can produce for us? You follow not except assumption, and you are not but falsifying." .
हिंदी - अनक़रीब मुशरेकीन कहेंगें कि अगर ख़ुदा चाहता तो न हम लोग शिर्क करते और न हमारे बाप दादा और न हम कोई चीज़ अपने ऊपर हराम करते उसी तरह (बातें बना बना के) जो लोग उनसे पहले हो गुज़रे हैं (पैग़म्बरों को) झुठलाते रहे यहाँ तक कि उन लोगों ने हमारे अज़ाब (के मज़े)े को चख़ा (ऐ रसूल) तुम कहो कि तुम्हारे पास कोई दलील है (अगर है) तो हमारे (दिखाने के) वास्ते उसको निकालो (दलील तो क्या) पेश करोगे तुम लोग तो सिर्फ अपने ख्याल ख़ाम की पैरवी करते हो और सिर्फ अटकल पच्चू बातें करते हो।.
Ayah 149
قُلْ Say, فَلِلَّهِ "With Allah ٱلْحُجَّةُ (is) the argument - ٱلْبَٰلِغَةُ the conclusive. فَلَوْ And if شَآءَ He (had) willed, لَهَدَىٰكُمْ surely He (would) have guided you أَجْمَعِينَ all."
English - Say, "With Allah is the far-reaching argument. If He had willed, He would have guided you all." .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम कहो कि (अब तुम्हारे पास कोई दलील नहीं है) ख़ुदा तक पहुंचाने वाली दलील ख़ुदा ही के लिए ख़ास है।.
Ayah 150
قُلْ Say, هَلُمَّ "Bring forward شُهَدَآءَكُمُ your witnesses, ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَشْهَدُونَ testify أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah حَرَّمَ prohibited هَٰذَا this." فَإِن Then if شَهِدُوا۟ they testify فَلَا then (do) not تَشْهَدْ testify مَعَهُمْ with them. وَلَا And (do) not تَتَّبِعْ follow أَهْوَآءَ (the) desires ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who كَذَّبُوا۟ denied بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا Our Signs وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter, وَهُم while they بِرَبِّهِمْ with their Lord يَعْدِلُونَ set up equals.
English - Say, [O Muhammad], "Bring forward your witnesses who will testify that Allah has prohibited this." And if they testify, do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who deny Our verses and those who do not believe in the Hereafter, while they equate [others] with their Lord. .
हिंदी - फिर अगर वही चाहता तो तुम सबकी हिदायत करता (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि ( अच्छा) अपने गवाहों को लाकर हाज़िर करो जो ये गवाही दें कि ये चीज़े (जिन्हें तुम हराम मानते हो) खुदा ही ने हराम कर दी हैं फिर अगर (बिलग़रज़) वह गवाही दे भी दे तो (ऐ रसूल) कहीं तुम उनके साथ गवाही न देना और जिन लोगों ने हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया और आखि़रत पर ईमान नहीं लाते और दूसरों को अपने परवरदिगार का हम सर बनाते है उनकी नफ़सियानी ख्वाहिशों पर न चलना।.
Ayah 151
قُلْ Say, تَعَالَوْا۟ "Come, أَتْلُ I will recite مَا what حَرَّمَ has prohibited رَبُّكُمْ your Lord عَلَيْكُمْ to you. أَلَّا That (do) not تُشْرِكُوا۟ associate بِهِۦ with Him شَيْـًٔا anything, وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ and with the parents إِحْسَٰنًا (be) good, وَلَا and (do) not تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ kill أَوْلَٰدَكُم your children مِّنْ (out) of إِمْلَٰقٍ poverty, نَّحْنُ We نَرْزُقُكُمْ provide for you وَإِيَّاهُمْ and for them. وَلَا And (do) not تَقْرَبُوا۟ go near ٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ [the] immoralities مَا what ظَهَرَ (is) apparent مِنْهَا of them وَمَا and what بَطَنَ (is) concealed. وَلَا And (do) not تَقْتُلُوا۟ kill ٱلنَّفْسَ the soul ٱلَّتِى which حَرَّمَ has (been) forbidden ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah إِلَّا except بِٱلْحَقِّ by (legal) right. ذَٰلِكُمْ That وَصَّىٰكُم (He) has enjoined on you بِهِۦ with it, لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَعْقِلُونَ use reason."
English - Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities – what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason." .
हिंदी - कहो कि आओ जो चीज़ें तुम्हारे रब ने तुम पर हराम की हैं वह मैं तुम्हें पढ़ कर सुनाऊँ (वह) यह कि किसी चीज़ को उसका शरीक न बनाओ और माँ बाप के साथ नेक सुलूक करो और ग़रीबी के डर से अपनी औलाद को मत मारो। हम रिज़्क़ देते हैं तुम्हें और उन्हें और बेहयाइयों के क़रीब भी न जाओ। (चाहे) वह ज़ाहिर हो या छुपे तौर पर और किसी जान को जिस के क़त्ल को अल्लाह ने हराम किया है न मार डालना मगर हक़ के साथ। यह वह बातें हैं जिनका उसने तुम्हें हुक्म दिया है ताकि तुम लोग समझ सको।.
Ayah 152
وَلَا And (do) not تَقْرَبُوا۟ go near مَالَ wealth ٱلْيَتِيمِ (of) the orphans إِلَّا except بِٱلَّتِى with that هِىَ which أَحْسَنُ (is) best حَتَّىٰ until يَبْلُغَ he reaches أَشُدَّهُۥ his maturity. وَأَوْفُوا۟ And give full ٱلْكَيْلَ [the] measure وَٱلْمِيزَانَ and the weight بِٱلْقِسْطِ with justice. لَا Not نُكَلِّفُ We burden نَفْسًا any soul إِلَّا except وُسْعَهَا (to) its capacity. وَإِذَا And when قُلْتُمْ you speak فَٱعْدِلُوا۟ then be just وَلَوْ even if كَانَ he is ذَا (one of). قُرْبَىٰ a near relative. وَبِعَهْدِ And (the) Covenant ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah أَوْفُوا۟ fulfil. ذَٰلِكُمْ That وَصَّىٰكُم (He) has enjoined on you بِهِۦ with it لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَذَكَّرُونَ remember.
English - And do not approach the orphan's property except in a way that is best until he reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you testify, be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of Allah fulfill. This has He instructed you that you may remember. .
हिंदी - और यतीम के माल के करीब भी न जाओ लेकिन इस तरीके़ पर कि जो बेहतर हो यहाँ तक कि वह अपनी जवानी को पहुंच जाए और इंसाफ के साथ नाप और तौल पूरी किया करो। हम किसी शख़्स को उसकी ताक़त से बढ़कर तकलीफ़ नहीं देते और जब बात कहो तो इंसाफ़ करो भले ही वह तुम्हारा अज़ीज़ हो और अल्लाह के वादे को पूरा करो। यह वह बातें हैं जिनका उसने तुम्हंे हुक्म दिया है ताकि तुम समझ हासिल कर सको।.
Ayah 153
وَأَنَّ And that, هَٰذَا this صِرَٰطِى (is) My path, مُسْتَقِيمًا straight, فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ so follow it. وَلَا And (do) not تَتَّبِعُوا۟ follow ٱلسُّبُلَ the (other) paths, فَتَفَرَّقَ then they will separate بِكُمْ you عَن from سَبِيلِهِۦ His path. ذَٰلِكُمْ That وَصَّىٰكُم (He) has enjoined on you بِهِۦ [with it] لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَتَّقُونَ become righteous.
English - And, [moreover], this is My path, which is straight, so follow it; and do not follow [other] ways, for you will be separated from His way. This has He instructed you that you may become righteous. .
हिंदी - और बेशक यह मेरा सीधा रास्ता है तो उसी पर चलो और दूसरे रास्तों पर न चलो कि वह तुमको उसके रास्ते से अलग कर देंगे यह वह बातें हैं जिनका उसने तुमको हुक्म दिया है ताकि तुम परहेज़गार बन जाओ।.
Ayah 154
ثُمَّ Moreover ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book, تَمَامًا completing (Our Favor) عَلَى on ٱلَّذِىٓ the one who أَحْسَنَ did good وَتَفْصِيلًا and an explanation لِّكُلِّ of every شَىْءٍ thing, وَهُدًى and a guidance وَرَحْمَةً and mercy, لَّعَلَّهُم so that they may بِلِقَآءِ in (the) meeting رَبِّهِمْ (with) their Lord يُؤْمِنُونَ believe.
English - Then We gave Moses the Scripture, making complete [Our favor] upon the one who did good and as a detailed explanation of all things and as guidance and mercy that perhaps in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord they would believe. .
हिंदी - फिर हमने मूसा को किताब (तौरेत) दी उन पर नूमत को पूरी करने के लिए जिन्होंने नेकी की और हर चीज़ की तफ़सील बयान की और लोगों के लिए हिदायत और रहमत है ताकि वह अपने रब की मुलाक़ात का यक़ीन करें।.
Ayah 155
وَهَٰذَا And this كِتَٰبٌ (is) a Book أَنزَلْنَٰهُ We have revealed it - مُبَارَكٌ blessed, فَٱتَّبِعُوهُ so follow it وَٱتَّقُوا۟ and fear (Allah) لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُرْحَمُونَ receive mercy.
English - And this [Qur’an] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear Allah that you may receive mercy. .
हिंदी - और यह किताब जिसको हमने नाज़िल किया बरकत वाली है तो तुम लोग उसकी पैरवी करो और डरते रहो ताकि तुम पर रहम किया जाए।.
Ayah 156
أَن Lest تَقُولُوٓا۟ you say, إِنَّمَآ "Only أُنزِلَ was revealed ٱلْكِتَٰبُ the Book عَلَىٰ on طَآئِفَتَيْنِ the two groups مِن from قَبْلِنَا before us, وَإِن and indeed كُنَّا we were عَن about دِرَاسَتِهِمْ their study لَغَٰفِلِينَ certainly unaware."
English - [We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware," .
हिंदी - कि तुम यह कह दो कि हमसे पहले किताब तो बस दो ही गिरोहों पर नाज़िल हुई थी अगरचे हम उनके पढ़ने पढ़ाने से बेख़बर थे।.
Ayah 157
أَوْ Or تَقُولُوا۟ you say, لَوْ "If أَنَّآ [that] أُنزِلَ was revealed عَلَيْنَا to us ٱلْكِتَٰبُ the Book لَكُنَّآ surely we (would) have been أَهْدَىٰ better guided مِنْهُمْ than them. فَقَدْ So verily جَآءَكُم has come to you بَيِّنَةٌ clear proofs مِّن from رَّبِّكُمْ your Lord وَهُدًى and a Guidance وَرَحْمَةٌ and a Mercy. فَمَنْ Then who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّن than (he) who كَذَّبَ denies بِـَٔايَٰتِ [with] (the) Verses ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, وَصَدَفَ and turns away عَنْهَا from them? سَنَجْزِى We will recompense ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَصْدِفُونَ turn away عَنْ from ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Signs سُوٓءَ (with) an evil ٱلْعَذَابِ punishment بِمَا because كَانُوا۟ they used to يَصْدِفُونَ turn away.
English - Or lest you say, "If only the Scripture had been revealed to us, we would have been better guided than they." So there has [now] come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who denies the verses of Allah and turns away from them? We will recompense those who turn away from Our verses with the worst of punishment for their having turned away. .
हिंदी - या यह कहने लगो कि अगर हम पर किताब नाज़िल होती तो हम उन लोगों से कहीं बढ़कर सीधे रास्ते पर होते तो यक़ीनन तुम्हारे रब की तरफ़ से तुम्हारे पास एक रौशन दलील और हिदायत और रहमत आ चुकी तो जो अल्लाह की आयतों को झुठलाए और उस से मुँह फेरे उनसे बढ़ कर ज़ालिम कौन है? जो लोग हमारी आयतों से मुँह फेरते हैं हम उनके मुँह फेरने के बदले में जल्द ही उन्हें बुरे अज़ाब का बदला देेंगे।.
Ayah 158
هَلْ Are يَنظُرُونَ they waiting إِلَّآ except أَن that تَأْتِيَهُمُ comes to them ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels أَوْ or يَأْتِىَ comes رَبُّكَ your Lord أَوْ or يَأْتِىَ comes بَعْضُ some (of) ءَايَٰتِ (the) Signs رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord? يَوْمَ (The) Day يَأْتِى (when) comes بَعْضُ some (of) ءَايَٰتِ (the) Signs رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord, لَا not يَنفَعُ will benefit نَفْسًا a soul إِيمَٰنُهَا its faith, لَمْ not تَكُنْ (if) it had ءَامَنَتْ believed مِن from قَبْلُ before أَوْ or كَسَبَتْ earned فِىٓ through إِيمَٰنِهَا its faith خَيْرًا any good. قُلِ Say, ٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟ "Wait. إِنَّا Indeed, we مُنتَظِرُونَ (are) those who wait."
English - Do they [then] wait for anything except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The Day that some of the signs of your Lord will come no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say, "Wait. Indeed, we [also] are waiting." .
हिंदी - क्या यह लोग सिर्फ़ इस बात का इंतेज़ार कर रहे हैं कि उनके पास फरिश्ते आएं या तुम्हारा रब ख़ुद आए या तुम्हारे रब की कुछ निशानियाँ आ जाएं। जिस दिन तुम्हारे रब की कुछ निशानियाँ आ जाएंगी तो जो पहले से ईमान नहीं लाया होगा या अपने ईमान की हालत में कोई नेक काम नहीं किया होगा तो उसका ईमान लाना उसे फ़ायदा नहीं देगा। कह दो कि तुम इन्तिज़ार करो, हम भी इन्तिज़ार करते हैं।.
Ayah 159
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who فَرَّقُوا۟ divide دِينَهُمْ their religion وَكَانُوا۟ and become شِيَعًا sects, لَّسْتَ you are not مِنْهُمْ with them فِى in شَىْءٍ anything. إِنَّمَآ Only أَمْرُهُمْ their affair إِلَى (is) with ٱللَّهِ Allah, ثُمَّ then يُنَبِّئُهُم He will inform them بِمَا of what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَفْعَلُونَ do.
English - Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects – you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन लोगों ने आपने दीन को टुकड़े टुकड़े कर डाला और वह कई गिरोह बन गए, तुम्हारा उनसे कोई ताल्लुक़ नहीं। उनका मामला तो सिर्फ़ अल्लाह के हवाले है फिर जो कुछ वह दुनिया में करते थे वह उन्हें बता देगा।.
Ayah 160
مَن Whoever جَآءَ came بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ with a good deed, فَلَهُۥ then for him عَشْرُ (is) ten (times) أَمْثَالِهَا the like of it. وَمَن And whoever جَآءَ came بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ with an evil deed فَلَا then not يُجْزَىٰٓ he will be recompensed إِلَّا except مِثْلَهَا the like of it, وَهُمْ and they لَا will not يُظْلَمُونَ (be) wronged.
English - Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgment] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 161
قُلْ Say, إِنَّنِى "Indeed (as for) me, هَدَىٰنِى has guided me رَبِّىٓ my Lord إِلَىٰ to صِرَٰطٍ a path, مُّسْتَقِيمٍ straight - دِينًا a religion قِيَمًا right, مِّلَّةَ religion إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim - حَنِيفًا a true monotheist. وَمَا And not كَانَ he was مِنَ from ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists.
English - Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path – a correct religion – the way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 162
قُلْ Say, إِنَّ "Indeed, صَلَاتِى my prayer, وَنُسُكِى and my rites of sacrifice, وَمَحْيَاىَ and my living, وَمَمَاتِى and my dying لِلَّهِ (are) for Allah, رَبِّ Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 163
لَا No شَرِيكَ partners لَهُۥ for Him; وَبِذَٰلِكَ and with that أُمِرْتُ I have been commanded. وَأَنَا۠ And I am أَوَّلُ (the) first ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ (of) the ones who surrender (to Him).
English - No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 164
قُلْ Say, أَغَيْرَ "Is (it) other than ٱللَّهِ Allah أَبْغِى I (should) seek رَبًّا (as) a Lord, وَهُوَ while He رَبُّ (is) the Lord كُلِّ (of) every شَىْءٍ thing?" وَلَا And not تَكْسِبُ earns كُلُّ every نَفْسٍ soul إِلَّا except عَلَيْهَا against itself, وَلَا and not تَزِرُ bears وَازِرَةٌ any bearer of burden, وِزْرَ burden أُخْرَىٰ (of) another. ثُمَّ Then إِلَىٰ to رَبِّكُم your Lord مَّرْجِعُكُمْ (is) your return فَيُنَبِّئُكُم then He will inform you بِمَا about what كُنتُمْ you were فِيهِ concerning it تَخْتَلِفُونَ differing.
English - Say, "Is it other than Allah I should desire as a lord while He is the Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 165
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَكُمْ (has) made you خَلَٰٓئِفَ successors ٱلْأَرْضِ (of) the earth وَرَفَعَ and raised بَعْضَكُمْ some of you فَوْقَ above بَعْضٍ others دَرَجَٰتٍ (in) ranks, لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ so that He may test you فِى in مَآ what ءَاتَىٰكُمْ He has given you. إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord سَرِيعُ (is) swift ٱلْعِقَابِ (in) the punishment, وَإِنَّهُۥ and indeed, He (is) لَغَفُورٌ [certainly], Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌۢ Most Merciful.
English - And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - .
