Ayah 1
ٱقْتَرَبَتِ Has come near ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour وَٱنشَقَّ and has split ٱلْقَمَرُ the moon.
English - The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]. .
हिंदी - क़यामत क़रीब आ गई और चाँद टुकड़े हो गया।.
Ayah 2
وَإِن And if يَرَوْا۟ they see ءَايَةً a Sign, يُعْرِضُوا۟ they turn away وَيَقُولُوا۟ and say, سِحْرٌ "Magic مُّسْتَمِرٌّ continuing."
English - And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic." .
हिंदी - और अगर वह कोई निशानी देखते तो मुँह फेर लेते हैं और कहते हैं कि यह जादू है जो चला आ रहा है।.
Ayah 3
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ And they denied وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ and followed أَهْوَآءَهُمْ their desires, وَكُلُّ but (for) every أَمْرٍ matter مُّسْتَقِرٌّ (will be a) settlement.
English - And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement. .
हिंदी - और उन्हों ने झुठलाया और अपनी ख़ाहिशों पर चले और हर चीज़ का एक वक़त है।.
Ayah 4
وَلَقَدْ And certainly جَآءَهُم has come to them مِّنَ of ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ the information مَا wherein فِيهِ wherein مُزْدَجَرٌ (is) deterrence,
English - And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence – .
हिंदी - और अनके पास वह ख़बरें आ गईं जिन में नसीहत है।.
Ayah 5
حِكْمَةٌۢ Wisdom بَٰلِغَةٌ perfect, فَمَا but not تُغْنِ will avail ٱلنُّذُرُ the warnings.
English - Extensive wisdom – but warning does not avail [them]. .
हिंदी - काफ़ी मज़्ाबूत अक़लमनदी की बातें हैं, फिर डराने वाली भी कुछ काम नही आई।.
Ayah 6
فَتَوَلَّ So turn away عَنْهُمْ from them. يَوْمَ (The) Day, يَدْعُ will call ٱلدَّاعِ the caller إِلَىٰ to شَىْءٍ a thing نُّكُرٍ terrible,
English - So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding, .
हिंदी - तो तुम उन से मुँह फेर लो जिस दिन बुलाने वाला उन्हें नागवार चीज़ की तरफ़ बुलाएगा।.
Ayah 7
خُشَّعًا (Will be) humbled أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ their eyes يَخْرُجُونَ they will come forth مِنَ from ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ the graves كَأَنَّهُمْ as if they (were) جَرَادٌ locusts مُّنتَشِرٌ spreading,
English - Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading, .
हिंदी - उन की निगाहें झुकी हुई होंगीए वह क़ब्रों से इस तरह निकलेंगे जैसे कि वह फैली हुई टिड्डियाँ हों।.
Ayah 8
مُّهْطِعِينَ Racing ahead إِلَى towards ٱلدَّاعِ the caller. يَقُولُ Will say ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers, هَٰذَا "This يَوْمٌ (is) a Day عَسِرٌ difficult."
English - Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day." .
हिंदी - तेज़ी से बुलाने वाले की तरफ भागे जा रहे होंगेए काफ़िर कहंेगेए यह बड़ा सख़्त दिन है।.
Ayah 9
كَذَّبَتْ Denied قَبْلَهُمْ before them قَوْمُ (the) people نُوحٍ (of) Nuh, فَكَذَّبُوا۟ and they denied عَبْدَنَا Our slave وَقَالُوا۟ and said, مَجْنُونٌ "A madman," وَٱزْدُجِرَ and he was repelled.
English - The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled. .
हिंदी - इनसे पहले नूह की क़ौम ने झुठलायाए तो उन्होंने हमारे बन्दे को झुठलाया और उन लोगों ने दीवाना कहा और उसे डराया धमकाया गया।.
Ayah 10
فَدَعَا So he called رَبَّهُۥٓ his Lord, أَنِّى "I am مَغْلُوبٌ one overpowered, فَٱنتَصِرْ so help."
English - So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help." .
हिंदी - तो उस ने अपने रब को पुकारा कि मैं दबा लिया गया हूँए तो तू मेरी मदद कर।.
Ayah 11
فَفَتَحْنَآ So We opened أَبْوَٰبَ (the) gates ٱلسَّمَآءِ (of) heaven بِمَآءٍ with water مُّنْهَمِرٍ pouring down
English - Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down .
हिंदी - तो हमने मूसलाधार पानी से आसमान के दरवाज़े खोल दिए।.
Ayah 12
وَفَجَّرْنَا And We caused to burst ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth عُيُونًا (with) springs, فَٱلْتَقَى so met ٱلْمَآءُ the water(s) عَلَىٰٓ for أَمْرٍ a matter قَدْ already قُدِرَ predestined.
English - And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined. .
हिंदी - और ज़मीन से चश्मे जारी कर दिए फिर पूरा पानी मिल गया जैसा हमने तैय किया था।.
Ayah 13
وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ And We carried him عَلَىٰ on ذَاتِ (ark) made of planks أَلْوَٰحٍ (ark) made of planks وَدُسُرٍ and nails,
English - And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails, .
हिंदी - और हम ने उसे तख़तों और कीलों वाली कश्ती पर सवार किया।.
Ayah 14
تَجْرِى Sailing بِأَعْيُنِنَا before Our eyes, جَزَآءً a reward لِّمَن for (he) who كَانَ was كُفِرَ denied.
English - Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied. .
हिंदी - जो हमारी निगरानी में चल रही थी, यह था बदला उस के लिए जिसका इनकार किया गया।.
Ayah 15
وَلَقَد And certainly تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ We left it ءَايَةً (as) a Sign, فَهَلْ so is (there) مِن any مُّدَّكِرٍ who will receive admonition?
English - And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember? .
हिंदी - उस को हमने एक निशानी बनाकर छोड़ दियाए फिर कोई है नसीहत हासिल करने वाला।.
Ayah 16
فَكَيْفَ So how كَانَ was عَذَابِى My punishment وَنُذُرِ and My warnings?
English - And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. .
हिंदी - तो कैसी थी मेरी सज़ा और मेरा डराना.
Ayah 17
وَلَقَدْ And certainly يَسَّرْنَا We have made easy ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran لِلذِّكْرِ for remembrance, فَهَلْ so is (there) مِن any مُّدَّكِرٍ who will receive admonition?
English - And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? .
हिंदी - हमने क़ुरआन को नसीहत के लिए आसान किया है तो क्या है कोई याद करने वाला।.
Ayah 18
كَذَّبَتْ Denied عَادٌ Aad; فَكَيْفَ so how كَانَ was عَذَابِى My punishment وَنُذُرِ and My warnings?
English - ‘Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning. .
हिंदी - अ़ाद ने झुठलाया, फिर कैसी थी मेरी सज़ा, और मेरा डराना।.
Ayah 19
إِنَّآ Indeed, We أَرْسَلْنَا [We] sent عَلَيْهِمْ upon them رِيحًا a wind صَرْصَرًا furious فِى on يَوْمِ a day نَحْسٍ (of) misfortune مُّسْتَمِرٍّ continuous,
English - Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune, .
हिंदी - हमने सख़्त नहूसत के दिन में उन पर तूफानी हवा भेजी।.
Ayah 20
تَنزِعُ Plucking out ٱلنَّاسَ men كَأَنَّهُمْ as if they (were) أَعْجَازُ trunks نَخْلٍ (of) date-palms مُّنقَعِرٍ uprooted.
English - Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted. .
हिंदी - जो इन्सानों को उखाड़ फेंक रही थी, जैसे वह उखड़े हुए खजूर के पेड़ के तने हों।.
Ayah 21
فَكَيْفَ So how كَانَ was عَذَابِى My punishment وَنُذُرِ and My warnings?
English - And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. .
हिंदी - तो कैसी थी मेरी सज़ा, और मेरा डराना।.
Ayah 22
وَلَقَدْ And certainly, يَسَّرْنَا We have made easy ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran لِلذِّكْرِ for remembrance, فَهَلْ so is (there) مِن any مُّدَّكِرٍ who will receive admonition?
English - And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? .
हिंदी - हमने क़ुरआन को नसीहत के लिए आसान किया है, तो क्या, है कोई याद करने वाला ?.
Ayah 23
كَذَّبَتْ Denied ثَمُودُ Thamud بِٱلنُّذُرِ the warnings,
English - Thamūd denied the warning .
हिंदी - समूद ने डराने वालों को झुठलाया।.
Ayah 24
فَقَالُوٓا۟ And said, أَبَشَرًا "Is (it) a human being مِّنَّا among us وَٰحِدًا one, نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ (that) we should follow him? إِنَّآ Indeed, we إِذًا then لَّفِى (will be) surely in ضَلَٰلٍ error وَسُعُرٍ and madness.
English - And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. .
हिंदी - और कहाए क्या एक आदमी जो हम ही में से है क्या हम उस के पीछे चलेंए तब तो हम गुमराही और पागलपन में जा पड़े।.
Ayah 25
أَءُلْقِىَ Has been sent ٱلذِّكْرُ the Reminder عَلَيْهِ to him مِنۢ from بَيْنِنَا among us? بَلْ Nay, هُوَ he كَذَّابٌ (is) a liar أَشِرٌ insolent."
English - Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar." .
हिंदी - क्या हमारे बीच उसी पर नसीहत उतारी गई, नहीं बल्कि यह तो परले दरजे का झूठा है।.
Ayah 26
سَيَعْلَمُونَ They will know غَدًا tomorrow مَّنِ who ٱلْكَذَّابُ (is) the liar, ٱلْأَشِرُ the insolent one.
English - They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar. .
हिंदी - जल्द ही यह कल जान लेंगे कि कौन परले दरजे का झूठा है।.
Ayah 27
إِنَّا Indeed, We مُرْسِلُوا۟ (are) sending ٱلنَّاقَةِ the she-camel فِتْنَةً (as) a trial لَّهُمْ for them, فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ so watch them وَٱصْطَبِرْ and be patient.
English - Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient. .
हिंदी - हम उस के इमतिहान के लिए ऊँटनी भेजेंगे, तो तुम उन्हें देखते रहो और सब्र करो।.
Ayah 28
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ And inform them أَنَّ that ٱلْمَآءَ the water قِسْمَةٌۢ (is) to be shared بَيْنَهُمْ between them, كُلُّ each شِرْبٍ drink مُّحْتَضَرٌ attended.
English - And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]. .
हिंदी - और इन को बता दो कि पानी उन के दरमियान बाँटा हुआ है, और हर पीने की बारी पर हाज़िर होना है।.
Ayah 29
فَنَادَوْا۟ But they called صَاحِبَهُمْ their companion فَتَعَاطَىٰ and he took فَعَقَرَ and hamstrung.
English - But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]. .
हिंदी - तो उन्हों ने अपने साथी को पुकारा, तो उस ने पकड़ा और मार डाला।.
Ayah 30
فَكَيْفَ So how كَانَ was عَذَابِى My punishment وَنُذُرِ and My warnings.
English - And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. .
हिंदी - तो कैसी थी मेरी सज़ा, और मेरा डराना।.
Ayah 31
إِنَّآ Indeed, We أَرْسَلْنَا [We] sent عَلَيْهِمْ upon them صَيْحَةً thunderous blast وَٰحِدَةً single, فَكَانُوا۟ and they became كَهَشِيمِ like dry twig fragments ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ (used by) a fence builder.
English - Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen. .
हिंदी - हम ने उस पर एक धमाका भेजा तो वह बाड़े के भुस होने की तरह भुस हो गए।.
Ayah 32
وَلَقَدْ And certainly يَسَّرْنَا We have made easy ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran لِلذِّكْرِ for remembrance, فَهَلْ so is (there) مِن any مُّدَّكِرٍ who will receive admonition?
English - And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? .
हिंदी - हमने क़ुरआन को नसीहत के लिए आसान किया है, तो क्या, है कोई याद करने वाला ?.
Ayah 33
كَذَّبَتْ Denied قَوْمُ (the) people لُوطٍۭ (of) Lut, بِٱلنُّذُرِ the warnings.
English - The people of Lot denied the warning. .
हिंदी - लूत की क़ौम ने ड़राने वालों को झुठलाया।.
Ayah 34
إِنَّآ Indeed, We أَرْسَلْنَا [We] sent عَلَيْهِمْ upon them حَاصِبًا a storm of stones, إِلَّآ except ءَالَ (the) family لُوطٍ (of) Lut, نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم We saved them بِسَحَرٍ by dawn
English - Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot – We saved them before dawn .
हिंदी - हम ने उन पर पथराव करने वाली हवा भेजी। सिवाए लूत के घर वालों के। उन को हम ने सुबह के वक़त बचा लिया।.
Ayah 35
نِّعْمَةً (As) a favor مِّنْ from عِندِنَا Us. كَذَٰلِكَ Thus نَجْزِى We reward مَن (one) who شَكَرَ (is) grateful.
English - As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful. .
हिंदी - रहमत के तौर पर हमारी ंतरफ़ से, इसी तरह हम बदला देते हैं शुकर करने वाले को।.
Ayah 36
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَنذَرَهُم he warned them بَطْشَتَنَا (of) Our seizure, فَتَمَارَوْا۟ but they disputed بِٱلنُّذُرِ the warnings.
English - And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. .
हिंदी - और उन्हों ने उन को हमारी पकड़ से डराया था, तो उन्हों ने डराने पर शक किया।.
Ayah 37
وَلَقَدْ And certainly رَٰوَدُوهُ they demanded from him عَن they demanded from him ضَيْفِهِۦ his guests, فَطَمَسْنَآ so We blinded أَعْيُنَهُمْ their eyes. فَذُوقُوا۟ "So taste عَذَابِى My punishment وَنُذُرِ and My warnings."
English - And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning." .
हिंदी - और उन्हों ने उन से महमानो को फुसलाना चाहा, तो हम ने उन की आँखें मिटा दी, तो तुम मेरे आज़ाब को चखो और मेरे डराने को।.
Ayah 38
وَلَقَدْ And certainly صَبَّحَهُم seized them in the morning بُكْرَةً early عَذَابٌ a punishment مُّسْتَقِرٌّ abiding.
English - And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment. .
हिंदी - और उन पर सुबह सवेरे एक अटल अज़ाब आ पड़ा।.
Ayah 39
فَذُوقُوا۟ So taste عَذَابِى My punishment وَنُذُرِ and My warnings.
English - So taste My punishment and warning. .
हिंदी - तो तुम मेरे आज़ाब को चखो और मेरे डराने को।.
Ayah 40
وَلَقَدْ And certainly يَسَّرْنَا We have made easy ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran لِلذِّكْرِ for remembrance, فَهَلْ so is (there) مِن any مُّدَّكِرٍ who will receive admonition?
English - And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? .
हिंदी - हमने क़ुरआन को नसीहत के लिए आसान किया है, तो क्या, है कोई याद करने वाला ?.
Ayah 41
وَلَقَدْ And certainly جَآءَ came ءَالَ (to the) people فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun ٱلنُّذُرُ warnings.
English - And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. .
हिंदी - फिरऔन की क़ौम के पास भी डराने वाले आए।.
Ayah 42
كَذَّبُوا۟ They denied بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا Our Signs, كُلِّهَا all of them, فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ so We seized them أَخْذَ (with) a seizure عَزِيزٍ (of) All-Mighty, مُّقْتَدِرٍ (the) Powerful One.
English - They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. .
हिंदी - उन्हों ने भी हमारी तमाम निशानियों को झुठलाया, तो हम ने उन्हें एक ज़बरदस्त ताक़तवर के पकड़ने की तरह पकड़ा।.
Ayah 43
أَكُفَّارُكُمْ Are your disbelievers, خَيْرٌ better مِّنْ than أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ those, أَمْ or لَكُم for you بَرَآءَةٌ (is) an exemption فِى in ٱلزُّبُرِ the Scriptures?
English - Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? .
हिंदी - क्या तुम्हारे काफ़िर उन लोगों से अच्छे हैं, या तुम्हारे लिए शास्त्रों में परवाना है।.
Ayah 44
أَمْ Or يَقُولُونَ (do) they say, نَحْنُ "We جَمِيعٌ (are) an assembly مُّنتَصِرٌ helping (each other)?"
English - Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? .
हिंदी - या वह लोग यह कहतें हैं ”हम इकट्ठे हैं कामयाब हो जाऐंगे”।.
Ayah 45
سَيُهْزَمُ Soon will be defeated ٱلْجَمْعُ (their) assembly, وَيُوَلُّونَ and they will turn ٱلدُّبُرَ (their) backs.
English - [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. .
हिंदी - जल्द ही उन सब को हार होगी, और वह पीठ फेर कर भागेंगे।.
Ayah 46
بَلِ Nay, ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour مَوْعِدُهُمْ (is) their promised time, وَٱلسَّاعَةُ and the Hour أَدْهَىٰ (will be) more grievous وَأَمَرُّ and more bitter.
English - But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. .
हिंदी - बल्कि क़यामत उन के वादे का वक़त है, और क़यामत बड़ी आफ़त और कड़वी है।.
Ayah 47
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals فِى (are) in ضَلَٰلٍ an error وَسُعُرٍ and madness.
English - Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. .
हिंदी - बेशक मुजरिम लोग गुमराही और पागलपन में हैं।.
Ayah 48
يَوْمَ (The) Day يُسْحَبُونَ they will be dragged فِى into ٱلنَّارِ the Fire عَلَىٰ on وُجُوهِهِمْ their faces, ذُوقُوا۟ "Taste مَسَّ (the) touch سَقَرَ (of) Hell."
English - The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." .
हिंदी - जिस दिन यह लोग मुँह के बल आग में घसीटे जाएँगे, ”चखो आग की लपट का मज़ा”।.
Ayah 49
إِنَّا Indeed, [We] كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing خَلَقْنَٰهُ We created it بِقَدَرٍ by a measure.
English - Indeed, all things We created with predestination. .
हिंदी - हम ने हर चीज़ को मिक़दार से पैदा किया है।.
Ayah 50
وَمَآ And not أَمْرُنَآ (is) Our Command إِلَّا but وَٰحِدَةٌ one, كَلَمْحٍۭ like the twinkling بِٱلْبَصَرِ (of) the eye.
English - And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. .
हिंदी - हमरा हुकम सिर्फ़ पलक झपकाते ही पूरा हो जाता है।.
Ayah 51
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَهْلَكْنَآ We destroyed أَشْيَاعَكُمْ your kinds, فَهَلْ so is (there) مِن any مُّدَّكِرٍ who will receive admonition?
English - And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? .
हिंदी - और हम तुमहारे जैसे लोगों को हलाक कर चुके हैं, तो है कोई याद करने वाला।.
Ayah 52
وَكُلُّ And every شَىْءٍ thing فَعَلُوهُ they did فِى (is) in ٱلزُّبُرِ the written records.
English - And everything they did is in written records. .
हिंदी - जो कुछ उन्हों ने किया वह किताब में मौजूद है।.
Ayah 53
وَكُلُّ And every صَغِيرٍ small وَكَبِيرٍ and big مُّسْتَطَرٌ (is) written down.
English - And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. .
हिंदी - हर छोटी और बड़ी चीज़ लीखी हुई है।.
Ayah 54
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous فِى (will be) in جَنَّٰتٍ gardens وَنَهَرٍ and river,
English - Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, .
हिंदी - बेशक परहेज़गार जन्नत और नहरों में होंगे।.
Ayah 55
فِى In مَقْعَدِ a seat صِدْقٍ (of) honor عِندَ near مَلِيكٍ a King مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ Most Powerful.
English - In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. .
हिंदी - सच्चाई की जगह में होंगे, ताक़तवर बादशह के पास।.
