Ayah 1
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ By those scattering, ذَرْوًا dispersing,
English - By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing .
हिंदी - बिखेरने वालीयों की क़सम जो बिखेर देती हैं।.
Ayah 2
فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ And those carrying وِقْرًا a load,
English - And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] .
हिंदी - और क़सम है उस की जो बोझ उठाती हैं।.
Ayah 3
فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ And those sailing يُسْرًا (with) ease,
English - And those [ships] sailing with ease .
हिंदी - फिर आसानी से चलने वालि हैं.
Ayah 4
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ And those distributing أَمْرًا Command,
English - And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, .
हिंदी - फिर चीजों का बटवारा करती हैं।.
Ayah 5
إِنَّمَا Indeed, what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised لَصَادِقٌ (is) surely true,
English - Indeed, what you are promised is true. .
हिंदी - जिस का वादा तुम से किया गया है वह सच्चा है।.
Ayah 6
وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱلدِّينَ the Judgment لَوَٰقِعٌ (is) surely to occur.
English - And indeed, the recompense is to occur. .
हिंदी - और इनसाफ़ हो कर रहेगा।.
Ayah 7
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ By the heaven ذَاتِ full of ٱلْحُبُكِ pathways.
English - By the heaven containing pathways, .
हिंदी - क़सम है रास्तों वाले आस्मान की।.
Ayah 8
إِنَّكُمْ Indeed, you لَفِى (are) surely in قَوْلٍ a speech مُّخْتَلِفٍ differing.
English - Indeed, you are in differing speech. .
हिंदी - बेशक तुम इख़्तलाफ़ वाली बात में हो।.
Ayah 9
يُؤْفَكُ Deluded away عَنْهُ from it مَنْ (is he) who أُفِكَ is deluded.
English - Deluded away from the Qur’an is he who is deluded. .
हिंदी - उस से वही मुँह फेरता है जिस को फेर दिया गया हो।.
Ayah 10
قُتِلَ Cursed be ٱلْخَرَّٰصُونَ the liars,
English - Destroyed are the falsifiers .
हिंदी - अटकल से बातें करने वाले हलाक हों।.
Ayah 11
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] فِى (are) in غَمْرَةٍ flood سَاهُونَ (of) heedlessness.
English - Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. .
हिंदी - जो गफ़लत में पड़े हुए हैं मदहोश हैं।.
Ayah 12
يَسْـَٔلُونَ They ask, أَيَّانَ "When يَوْمُ (is the) Day ٱلدِّينِ (of) Judgment?"
English - They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" .
हिंदी - वह लोग पुछते हैं बदले का दिन कब है।.
Ayah 13
يَوْمَ A Day, هُمْ they عَلَى over ٱلنَّارِ the Fire يُفْتَنُونَ will be tried,
English - [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire .
हिंदी - जिस दिन वह आग पर तपाए जाएँगे।.
Ayah 14
ذُوقُوا۟ "Taste فِتْنَتَكُمْ your trial. هَٰذَا This ٱلَّذِى (is) what كُنتُم you were بِهِۦ for it تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ seeking to hasten."
English - [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." .
हिंदी - तुम अपनी शरारत का मज़ा चखोए यह वही चीज़ है जिसके लिए तुम जल्दी मचा रहे थे।.
Ayah 15
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous فِى (will be) in جَنَّٰتٍ Gardens وَعُيُونٍ and springs,
English - Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, .
हिंदी - बेशक परहेज़गार लोग बाग़ों और चश्मों में होंगे।.
Ayah 16
ءَاخِذِينَ Taking مَآ what ءَاتَىٰهُمْ their Lord has given them. رَبُّهُمْ their Lord has given them. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were قَبْلَ before ذَٰلِكَ that مُحْسِنِينَ good-doers.
English - Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. .
हिंदी - जो कुछ उनका रब उन्हें देगा ले रहे होंगे, बेशक वह इस से पहले से ही नेकी करने वाले थे।.
Ayah 17
كَانُوا۟ They used to قَلِيلًا little مِّنَ of ٱلَّيْلِ the night مَا [what] يَهْجَعُونَ sleep.
English - They used to sleep but little of the night, .
हिंदी - रातों को कम सोते थे।.
Ayah 18
وَبِٱلْأَسْحَارِ And in the hours before dawn هُمْ they يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ would ask forgiveness,
English - And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, .
हिंदी - फिर वह सुबह के वक़्त माफ़ी माँगा करते थे।.
Ayah 19
وَفِىٓ And in أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ their wealth حَقٌّ (was the) right لِّلسَّآئِلِ (of) those who asked وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ and the deprived.
English - And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. .
हिंदी - और उनके माल में माँगने वाले और न माँगने वालों का हक़ होता था।.
Ayah 20
وَفِى And in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth ءَايَٰتٌ (are) signs لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ for those who are certain,
English - And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] .
हिंदी - और ज़मीन में यक़ीन करने वालों के लिए निशानियां हैं।.
Ayah 21
وَفِىٓ And in أَنفُسِكُمْ yourselves. أَفَلَا Then will not تُبْصِرُونَ you see?
English - And in yourselves. Then will you not see? .
हिंदी - और तुम्हारे अन्दर भी हैं तो क्या तुम देखते नहीं हो.
Ayah 22
وَفِى And in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven رِزْقُكُمْ (is) your provision وَمَا and what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised.
English - And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. .
हिंदी - आसमान में है तुम्हारी रोज़ी और वह चीज़ जिसका तुम से वादा किया गया है।.
Ayah 23
فَوَرَبِّ Then by (the) Lord ٱلسَّمَآءِ (of) the heaven وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth, إِنَّهُۥ indeed, it لَحَقٌّ (is) surely (the) truth مِّثْلَ (just) as مَآ [what] أَنَّكُمْ you تَنطِقُونَ speak.
English - Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth – just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. .
हिंदी - क़़सम है आसमान और ज़मीन के रब की, यह बात हक़ीक़त है, एैसे ही जैसे तुम बोलते हो।.
Ayah 24
هَلْ Has أَتَىٰكَ reached you حَدِيثُ (the) narration ضَيْفِ (of the) guests إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ the honored?
English - Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? – .
हिंदी - क्या तुम्हारे पास इब्राहीम के इज़्ज़्ात वाले मेहमानो की ख़बर आई ?.
Ayah 25
إِذْ When دَخَلُوا۟ they entered عَلَيْهِ upon him فَقَالُوا۟ and said, سَلَٰمًا "Peace." قَالَ He said, سَلَٰمٌ "Peace, قَوْمٌ a people مُّنكَرُونَ unknown."
English - When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. .
हिंदी - जब वह लोग उस के पास आए तो कहा, “सलामती हो” उसने कहा, “सलामती हो, अजनबी लोग हैं”।.
Ayah 26
فَرَاغَ Then he went إِلَىٰٓ to أَهْلِهِۦ his household فَجَآءَ and came بِعِجْلٍ with a calf سَمِينٍ fat,
English - Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf .
हिंदी - फिर वह चुपके से अपने घरवालों के पास गए और एक मोटा बछड़ा ले आए।.
Ayah 27
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ And he placed it near إِلَيْهِمْ [to] them, قَالَ he said, أَلَا "Will not تَأْكُلُونَ you eat?"
English - And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?" .
हिंदी - फिर उन की तरफ पेश किया, और कहा, क्या आप खाते नहीं?.
Ayah 28
فَأَوْجَسَ Then he felt مِنْهُمْ from them خِيفَةً a fear. قَالُوا۟ They said, لَا "(Do) not تَخَفْ fear," وَبَشَّرُوهُ and they gave him glad tidings بِغُلَٰمٍ of a son عَلِيمٍ learned.
English - And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. .
हिंदी - तो उसने उन से डर महसूस किया, उन्होंने कहा, डरिए मत ,और उस को एक इल्म वाले लड़के के की ख़ुशख़बरी दी।.
Ayah 29
فَأَقْبَلَتِ Then came forward ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ his wife فِى with صَرَّةٍ a loud voice, فَصَكَّتْ and struck وَجْهَهَا her face وَقَالَتْ and she said, عَجُوزٌ "An old woman عَقِيمٌ barren!"
English - And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" .
हिंदी - तो उसकी बीवी चिल्लाती हुई आई, और उसने अपना मुँह पीटा और उस ने कहा, “बूढ़ी, बाँझ औरत”।.
Ayah 30
قَالُوا۟ They said, كَذَٰلِكِ "Thus قَالَ said رَبُّكِ your Lord. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He هُوَ [He] ٱلْحَكِيمُ (is) the All-Wise, ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower."
English - They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." .
हिंदी - अन्हों ने कहा, एैसा ही फ़रमाया है तेरे रब ने, बेशक वह हिक्मत वाला, जान्ने वाला है।.
Ayah 31
قَالَ He said, فَمَا "Then what خَطْبُكُمْ (is) your mission, أَيُّهَا O messengers?" ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ O messengers?"
English - [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" .
हिंदी - तो उस ने कहा, एै भेजे हुए दूत तुम्हारा मक़सद क्या है?.
Ayah 32
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, إِنَّآ "Indeed, we أُرْسِلْنَآ [we] have been sent إِلَىٰ to قَوْمٍ a people مُّجْرِمِينَ criminal,
English - They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals .
हिंदी - उन्होंने कहा की हम एक मुजरिम क़ौम की तरफ़ भेजे गए हैं।.
Ayah 33
لِنُرْسِلَ That we may send down عَلَيْهِمْ upon them حِجَارَةً stones مِّن of طِينٍ clay,
English - To send down upon them stones of clay, .
हिंदी - ताकि उस पर मिट्टी के पत्थर बरसाऐं।.
Ayah 34
مُّسَوَّمَةً Marked عِندَ by your Lord رَبِّكَ by your Lord لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ for the transgressors."
English - Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors." .
हिंदी - तुम्हारे रब की तरफ़ से हद से गुज़र जाने वालों के लिए निशान किया हुआ है।.
Ayah 35
فَأَخْرَجْنَا Then We brought out مَن (those) who كَانَ were فِيهَا therein مِنَ of ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers.
English - So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. .
हिंदी - फिर हमने निकाल लिया उन्हेें जोे उस में ईमान वाले थे।.
Ayah 36
فَمَا But not وَجَدْنَا We found فِيهَا therein غَيْرَ other than بَيْتٍ a house مِّنَ of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ the Muslims.
English - And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. .
हिंदी - और वहाँ हमने एक घर के सिवा मुसलमानों का कोई घर न पाया।.
Ayah 37
وَتَرَكْنَا And We left فِيهَآ therein ءَايَةً a Sign لِّلَّذِينَ for those who يَخَافُونَ fear ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment ٱلْأَلِيمَ the painful.
English - And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. .
हिंदी - और हमने उस में एक निशानी छोड़ दी उन लोगों के लिए जो दर्दनाक अज़ाब से डरते हैं।.
Ayah 38
وَفِى And in مُوسَىٰٓ Musa, إِذْ when أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ We sent him إِلَىٰ to فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun بِسُلْطَٰنٍ with an authority مُّبِينٍ clear.
English - And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. .
हिंदी - और मूसा में भी जब हमने उसेे फ़िरअ़ौन के पास खुली दलील के साथ भेजा।.
Ayah 39
فَتَوَلَّىٰ But he turned away بِرُكْنِهِۦ with his supporters وَقَالَ and said, سَٰحِرٌ "A magician أَوْ or مَجْنُونٌ a madman."
English - But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." .
हिंदी - तो उस ने अपनी ताक़त की वजह से मँुह मोड़ा, और बोला, “यह जादूगर है या दीवाना है”।.
Ayah 40
فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ So We took him وَجُنُودَهُۥ and his hosts فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ and threw them فِى into ٱلْيَمِّ the sea, وَهُوَ while he مُلِيمٌ (was) blameworthy.
English - So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. .
हिंदी - फिर हमने उसे और उसकी फ़ौज को पकड़ा और सबको समुद्र में फेंक दिया, और वह निंदा के ही लायक़ था।.
Ayah 41
وَفِى And in عَادٍ Aad, إِذْ when أَرْسَلْنَا We sent عَلَيْهِمُ against them ٱلرِّيحَ the wind ٱلْعَقِيمَ the barren.
English - And in ‘Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. .
हिंदी - और आद में, जब हम ने उन पर अशुभ आन्धी भेजी।.
Ayah 42
مَا Not تَذَرُ it left مِن any شَىْءٍ thing أَتَتْ it came عَلَيْهِ upon it, إِلَّا but جَعَلَتْهُ it made it كَٱلرَّمِيمِ like disintegrated ruins.
English - It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. .
हिंदी - कि जिस चीज़ पर चलती थी उसको चूरा बना कर रख देती।.
Ayah 43
وَفِى And in ثَمُودَ Thamud, إِذْ when قِيلَ was said لَهُمْ to them, تَمَتَّعُوا۟ "Enjoy (yourselves) حَتَّىٰ for حِينٍ a time."
English - And in Thamūd, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." .
हिंदी - और समूद में, जब उस से कहा गया था कि एक वक़्त तक मज़े कर लो।.
Ayah 44
فَعَتَوْا۟ But they rebelled عَنْ against أَمْرِ (the) Command رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord, فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ so seized them ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ the thunderbolt وَهُمْ while they يَنظُرُونَ were looking.
English - But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. .
हिंदी - तो उन्हों ने अपने रब के हुकम से बग़ावत की, तो उन्हें कड़के ने आ दबोचा और वह देखते रह गए।.
Ayah 45
فَمَا Then not ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ they were able to مِن [of] قِيَامٍ stand وَمَا and not كَانُوا۟ they could مُنتَصِرِينَ help themselves.
English - And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. .
हिंदी - फिर न वह उठने की ताक़त रखते थे, और न अपना बचाव कर सकते थे।.
Ayah 46
وَقَوْمَ And (the) people نُوحٍ (of) Nuh مِّن before; قَبْلُ before; إِنَّهُمْ indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were قَوْمًا a people فَٰسِقِينَ defiantly disobedient.
English - And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. .
हिंदी - और उस से पहले हम ने नूह की क़ौम को हलाक किया , बेशक वह नाफ़रमान लोग थे।.
Ayah 47
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ And the heaven بَنَيْنَٰهَا We constructed it بِأَيْي۟دٍ with strength, وَإِنَّا and indeed, We لَمُوسِعُونَ (are) surely (its) Expanders.
English - And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander. .
हिंदी - और हम ने आसमान को अपने बल बूते से बनाया, और बेशक हम इस को फैलाते जाते हैं।.
Ayah 48
وَٱلْأَرْضَ And the earth, فَرَشْنَٰهَا We have spread it; فَنِعْمَ how excellent ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ (are) the Spreaders!
English - And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer. .
हिंदी - और ज़मीन को हम ने बिछाया तो हम क्या ही अच्छा बिछाने वाले हैं।.
Ayah 49
وَمِن And of كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing خَلَقْنَا We have created زَوْجَيْنِ pairs, لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَذَكَّرُونَ remember.
English - And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember. .
हिंदी - और हम ने हर चीज़ के जोड़े बनाए हैंए ताकि तुम लोग नसीहत हासिल करो।.
Ayah 50
فَفِرُّوٓا۟ So flee إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah, إِنِّى indeed, I am لَكُم to you مِّنْهُ from Him نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear.
English - So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. .
हिंदी - तुम अल्लाह की तरफ़ भागो, बेशक मैं तुम्हारे लिए उस की तरफ से खुल्लम खुल्ला डराने वाला हूँ।.
Ayah 51
وَلَا And (do) not تَجْعَلُوا۟ make مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah إِلَٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ another. إِنِّى Indeed, I am لَكُم to you مِّنْهُ from Him نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear.
English - And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. .
हिंदी - और अल्लाह के साथ किसी दूसरे को माबूद न बनाओ, बेशक मैं तुम्हारे लिए उस की तरफ से खुल्लम खुल्ला डराने वाला हूँ।.
Ayah 52
كَذَٰلِكَ Likewise مَآ not أَتَى came ٱلَّذِينَ (to) those مِن before them قَبْلِهِم before them مِّن any رَّسُولٍ Messenger إِلَّا but قَالُوا۟ they said, سَاحِرٌ "A magician أَوْ or مَجْنُونٌ a madman."
English - Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." .
हिंदी - इसी तरह उन से पहले कोई रसूल उन के पास नहीं आया मगर उनहों ने उस को जादूगर या दीवाना कहा।.
Ayah 53
أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ Have they transmitted it to them? بِهِۦ Have they transmitted it to them? بَلْ Nay, هُمْ they قَوْمٌ (are) a people طَاغُونَ transgressing.
English - Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. .
हिंदी - क्या इन सबने आपस में समझौता कर लिया है? नहीं यह सब सरकश लोग हैं।.
Ayah 54
فَتَوَلَّ So turn away عَنْهُمْ from them, فَمَآ for not أَنتَ you بِمَلُومٍ (are) to be blamed.
English - So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. .
हिंदी - तुम उनसे मुँह मोड़ लो, और तुम पर कोई मलामत नहीं है।.
Ayah 55
وَذَكِّرْ And remind, فَإِنَّ for indeed, ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ the reminder تَنفَعُ benefits ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers.
English - And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. .
हिंदी - और याद दिलाते रहो, क्यूँकि याद दिलाना मोमिनों को फ़ायदा देता है।.
Ayah 56
وَمَا And not خَلَقْتُ I have created ٱلْجِنَّ the jinn وَٱلْإِنسَ and the mankind إِلَّا except لِيَعْبُدُونِ that they worship Me.
English - And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. .
हिंदी - और मैं ने जिनों और अन्सानों को पैदा नहीं किया मगर इस लिए कि वह मेरी इबादत करें।.
Ayah 57
مَآ Not أُرِيدُ I want مِنْهُم from them مِّن any رِّزْقٍ provision وَمَآ and not أُرِيدُ I want أَن that يُطْعِمُونِ they (should) feed Me.
English - I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. .
हिंदी - मैं उन से रोज़ी नहीं मांगता और न यह चाहता हूँ कि वह मुझे खिलाऐं।.
Ayah 58
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah, هُوَ He ٱلرَّزَّاقُ (is) the All-Provider, ذُو Possessor ٱلْقُوَّةِ (of) Power ٱلْمَتِينُ the Strong.
English - Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. .
हिंदी - बेशक अल्लाह रोज़ी देने वाला है, ताक़तवर और ज़बरदसत है।.
Ayah 59
فَإِنَّ So indeed, لِلَّذِينَ for those who ظَلَمُوا۟ do wrong, ذَنُوبًا (is) a portion مِّثْلَ like ذَنُوبِ (the) portion أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ (of) their companions, فَلَا so let them not ask Me to hasten. يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ so let them not ask Me to hasten.
English - And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन लोगों ने जुल्म किया, उन के लिए वैसा ही अज़ाब है, जिस तरह उनके साथियों के लिए आज़ाब है, तो वह लोग मुझ से जल्दी न मचाएँ।.
Ayah 60
فَوَيْلٌ Then woe لِّلَّذِينَ to those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve مِن from يَوْمِهِمُ their Day ٱلَّذِى which يُوعَدُونَ they are promised.
English - And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. .
हिंदी - तो इन्कार करने वालों के लिए तबाही और बरबादी है, उस दिन के लिए जिस का उन से वादा किया गया है।.
