Ayah 1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلَّذِينَ you (who) ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believe! أَوْفُوا۟ Fulfil بِٱلْعُقُودِ the contracts. أُحِلَّتْ Are made lawful لَكُم for you بَهِيمَةُ the quadruped ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ (of) the grazing livestock إِلَّا except مَا what يُتْلَىٰ is recited عَلَيْكُمْ on you, غَيْرَ not مُحِلِّى being permitted ٱلصَّيْدِ (to) hunt وَأَنتُمْ while you حُرُمٌ (are in) Ihram. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يَحْكُمُ decrees مَا what يُرِيدُ He wills.
English - O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts. Lawful for you are the animals of grazing livestock except for that which is recited to you [in this Qur’an] – hunting not being permitted while you are in the state of ihram. Indeed, Allah ordains what He intends. .
हिंदी - ऐ वह लोगो जो ईमान लाए, वादों को पूरा करो, तुम्हारे लिए जानवरों को हलाल कर दिया गया है, सिवाए उनके जो तुम पर पढे़ जाते हैं, मगर शिकार हलाल नहीं एहराम की हालत में। बेशक अल्लाह हुक्म देता है जो चाहता है।.
Ayah 2
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلَّذِينَ you (who) ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Do) not تُحِلُّوا۟ violate شَعَٰٓئِرَ (the) rites ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, وَلَا and not ٱلشَّهْرَ the month, ٱلْحَرَامَ the sacred, وَلَا and not ٱلْهَدْىَ the sacrificial animals وَلَا and not ٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ the garlanded وَلَآ and not ءَآمِّينَ (those) coming ٱلْبَيْتَ (to) the House, ٱلْحَرَامَ the Sacred, يَبْتَغُونَ seeking فَضْلًا Bounty مِّن of رَّبِّهِمْ their Lord وَرِضْوَٰنًا and good pleasure. وَإِذَا And when حَلَلْتُمْ you come out of Ihram فَٱصْطَادُوا۟ then (you may) hunt. وَلَا And let not يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ incite you شَنَـَٔانُ (the) hatred قَوْمٍ (for) a people أَن as صَدُّوكُمْ they stopped you عَنِ from ٱلْمَسْجِدِ Al-Masjid ٱلْحَرَامِ Al-Haraam أَن that تَعْتَدُوا۟ you commit transgression. وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ And help one another عَلَى in ٱلْبِرِّ [the] righteousness وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ and [the] piety, وَلَا but (do) not تَعَاوَنُوا۟ help one another عَلَى in ٱلْإِثْمِ [the] sin وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ and [the] transgression. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah; إِنَّ indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah شَدِيدُ (is) severe ٱلْعِقَابِ (in) [the] punishment.
English - O you who have believed, do not violate the rites of Allah or [the sanctity of] the sacred month or [neglect the marking of] the sacrificial animals and garlanding [them] or [violate the safety of] those coming to the Sacred House seeking bounty from their Lord and [His] approval. But when you come out of ihram, then [you may] hunt. And do not let the hatred of a people for having obstructed you from al-Masjid al-îaram lead you to transgress. And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमान वालो अल्लाह की निशानियों को हलाल न समझो और इज़्ज़्ात वाले महीने को और न क़ुर्बानी के जानवर को और न पट्टे पड़े हुए (जानवरों) कोे और न उन को जो इज़्ज़्ात वाले घर को जा रहे हों, अपने रब की तरफ़ से फ़ज़्ल और ख़ुशी को तलाश करते हैं और जब तुम एहराम खोल दो, तो शिकर कर सकते हो और तुम्हें लोगों की दुश्मनी न उभारे कि तुम ज़ुल्म करने लगो कि उन्होंने तुम्हें इज़्ज़्ात वाली मस्जिद से रोका था और नेकी और परहेज़्ागारी में एक दूसरे की मदद किया करो और गुनाह और जु़ल्म पर एक दूसरे की मदद न करना और अल्लाह से डरो, बेशक अल्लाह सख़्त अज़ाब देने वाला है।.
Ayah 3
حُرِّمَتْ Are made unlawful عَلَيْكُمُ on you ٱلْمَيْتَةُ the dead animals, وَٱلدَّمُ and the blood, وَلَحْمُ and flesh ٱلْخِنزِيرِ (of) the swine, وَمَآ and what أُهِلَّ has been dedicated لِغَيْرِ to other than ٱللَّهِ Allah, بِهِۦ [on it], وَٱلْمُنْخَنِقَةُ and that which is strangled (to death), وَٱلْمَوْقُوذَةُ and that which is hit fatally, وَٱلْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ and that which has a fatal fall, وَٱلنَّطِيحَةُ and that which is gored by horns, وَمَآ and that which أَكَلَ ate (it) ٱلسَّبُعُ the wild animal إِلَّا except مَا what ذَكَّيْتُمْ you slaughtered, وَمَا and what ذُبِحَ is sacrificed عَلَى on ٱلنُّصُبِ the stone altars, وَأَن and that تَسْتَقْسِمُوا۟ you seek division بِٱلْأَزْلَٰمِ by divining arrows - ذَٰلِكُمْ that فِسْقٌ (is) grave disobedience. ٱلْيَوْمَ This day يَئِسَ (have) despaired ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved مِن of دِينِكُمْ your religion, فَلَا so (do) not تَخْشَوْهُمْ fear them, وَٱخْشَوْنِ but fear Me. ٱلْيَوْمَ This day أَكْمَلْتُ I have perfected لَكُمْ for you دِينَكُمْ your religion وَأَتْمَمْتُ and I have completed عَلَيْكُمْ upon you نِعْمَتِى My Favor وَرَضِيتُ and I have approved لَكُمُ for you ٱلْإِسْلَٰمَ [the] Islam دِينًا (as) a religion. فَمَنِ But whoever ٱضْطُرَّ (is) forced فِى by مَخْمَصَةٍ hunger غَيْرَ (and) not مُتَجَانِفٍ inclining لِّإِثْمٍ to sin, فَإِنَّ then indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin – then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - तुम पर हराम है मुर्दार और ख़ून और सुअर का गोश्त और जिस पर अल्लाह के सिवा किसी और का नाम लिया गया हो और गला घुट कर मरने वाला जानवर और चोट लगकर मरने वाला और बुलंदी से गिर कर मरने वाला और सींग लग कर मरने वाला और जिसे खा लिया चीर फाड़ करने वाले जानवर ने मगर जिसे तुम ने पाक कर लिया और जो कुर्बान गाह (थान) पर ज़िबह किया जाए और यह कि तुम पांसों से क़िस्मत मालूम करो, यह सब गुनाह के काम हैं। आज इंकार करने वाले तुम्हारे दीन से मायूस हो गए तो तुम उन से न डरो और मुझ से डरो, आज मैंने तुम्हारे लिए तुम्हारे दीन को पूरा कर दिया और तुम पर अपने एहसान को पूरा कर दिया और तुम्हारे लिए इस्लाम को दीन के तौर पर पसंद किया, फिर जो कोई भूख से मजबूर हो जाए, गुनाह की तरफ़ झुकने वाला न हो, तो बेशक अल्लाह बहुत माफ़ करने वाला, बड़ा मेहरबान है।.
Ayah 4
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ They ask you مَاذَآ what أُحِلَّ (is) made lawful لَهُمْ for them. قُلْ Say, أُحِلَّ "Are made lawful لَكُمُ for you ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ the good things وَمَا and what عَلَّمْتُم you have taught مِّنَ of ٱلْجَوَارِحِ (your) hunting animals, مُكَلِّبِينَ ones who train animals to hunt, تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ you teach them مِمَّا of what عَلَّمَكُمُ has taught you ٱللَّهُ Allah. فَكُلُوا۟ So eat مِمَّآ of what أَمْسَكْنَ they catch عَلَيْكُمْ for you, وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ but mention ٱسْمَ (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْهِ on it, وَٱتَّقُوا۟ and fear ٱللَّهَ Allah. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah سَرِيعُ is swift ٱلْحِسَابِ (in taking) account.
English - They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah." Indeed, Allah is swift in account. .
हिंदी - वह तुम से पूछते हैं कि उन के लिए क्या हलाल है, कह दो कि तुम्हारे लिए पाकीज़ा चीजा़े को हलाल किया गया है और शिकारी जानवरों में से जिन्हें तुम ने सधाया है तुम उन्हें सिखाते हो उस में से जो अल्लाह ने तुम्हें सिखाया, तो उस में से खाओ जो वह तुम्हारे लिए पकड़ रखें और उस पर अल्लाह का नाम लो और अल्लाह से डरो, बेशक अल्लह बहुत जल्द हिसाब लेने वाला है।.
Ayah 5
ٱلْيَوْمَ This day أُحِلَّ are made lawful لَكُمُ for you ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتُ the good things; وَطَعَامُ and (the) food ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who أُوتُوا۟ were given ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book حِلٌّ (is) lawful لَّكُمْ for you, وَطَعَامُكُمْ and your food حِلٌّ (is) lawful لَّهُمْ for them. وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ And the chaste women مِنَ from ٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ the believers وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ and the chaste women مِنَ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who أُوتُوا۟ were given ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book مِن from قَبْلِكُمْ before you, إِذَآ when ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ you have given them أُجُورَهُنَّ their bridal due, مُحْصِنِينَ being chaste غَيْرَ not مُسَٰفِحِينَ being lewd وَلَا and not مُتَّخِذِىٓ ones (who are) taking أَخْدَانٍ secret lovers. وَمَن And whoever يَكْفُرْ denies بِٱلْإِيمَٰنِ the faith - فَقَدْ then surely حَبِطَ (are) wasted عَمَلُهُۥ his deeds وَهُوَ and he, فِى in ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ the Hereafter, مِنَ (will be) among ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ the losers.
English - This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have given them their due compensation, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith – his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers. .
हिंदी - आज तुम्हारे लिए पाकीज़ा चीज़ें हलाल की गई हैं और अहले किताब का खाना तुम्हारे लिए हलाल है और तुम्हारा खाना उनके लिए हलाल है और ईमान वालियों में से पाक दामन औरतें और पाक दामन औरतें उन में से जिन्हें तुम से पहले किताब दी गई, (हलाल हैं), जब तुम उन का बदला (महर) उन्हें दे दो, पाक दामनी का इरादा हो न की बदकारी का और न छिपी दोस्ती करने का। और जो ईमान का इंकार करेगा तो उस का अमल बर्बाद हो जाएगा और वह आख़िरत में नुक़्सान उठाने वालों में से होगा।.
Ayah 6
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believe! إِذَا When قُمْتُمْ you stand up إِلَى for ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ the prayer, فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ then wash وُجُوهَكُمْ your faces وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ and your hands إِلَى till ٱلْمَرَافِقِ the elbows وَٱمْسَحُوا۟ and wipe بِرُءُوسِكُمْ your heads وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ and your feet إِلَى till ٱلْكَعْبَيْنِ the ankles. وَإِن But if كُنتُمْ you are جُنُبًا (in) a state of ceremonial impurity فَٱطَّهَّرُوا۟ then purify yourselves. وَإِن But if كُنتُم you are مَّرْضَىٰٓ ill أَوْ or عَلَىٰ on سَفَرٍ a journey أَوْ or جَآءَ has come أَحَدٌ anyone مِّنكُم of you مِّنَ from ٱلْغَآئِطِ the toilet أَوْ or لَٰمَسْتُمُ has (had) contact ٱلنِّسَآءَ (with) the women فَلَمْ and not تَجِدُوا۟ you find مَآءً water, فَتَيَمَّمُوا۟ then do tayyammum صَعِيدًا (with) earth طَيِّبًا clean, فَٱمْسَحُوا۟ then wipe بِوُجُوهِكُمْ your faces وَأَيْدِيكُم and your hands مِّنْهُ with it. مَا Does not يُرِيدُ intend ٱللَّهُ Allah لِيَجْعَلَ to make عَلَيْكُم for you مِّنْ any حَرَجٍ difficulty وَلَٰكِن but يُرِيدُ He intends لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ to purify you وَلِيُتِمَّ and to complete نِعْمَتَهُۥ His Favor عَلَيْكُمْ upon you لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَشْكُرُونَ (be) grateful.
English - O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselves. But if you are ill or on a journey or one of you comes from the place of relieving himself or you have contacted women and do not find water, then seek clean earth and wipe over your faces and hands with it. Allah does not intend to make difficulty for you, but He intends to purify you and complete His favor upon you that you may be grateful. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमान वालो, जब तुम नमाज़ के लिए उठो, तो अपने चेहरों को और हाथों को कोहनियांे तक धो लो और अपने सरों का मसह कर लो और अपने पावों को टख़नों तक (धो लो) और अगर तुम नापाक हो तो नहा लो और अगर तुम बीमार हो या सफ़र में हो या तुम से कोई इस्तिंजा से आए या तुम औरतों से मिले, फिर अगर तुम पानी न पाओ तो पाक मिट्टी से तयम्मुम कर लो, और उस से अपने चेहरों और हाथों का मसह कर लो, अल्लाह तुम पर कोई तंगी नहीं करता चाहता, लेकिन चाहता है कि तुम्हें पाक करे और अपना एहसान तुम पर पूरा करे, ताकि तुम शुक्र अदा कर सको।.
Ayah 7
وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ And remember نِعْمَةَ (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْكُمْ upon you وَمِيثَٰقَهُ and His covenant ٱلَّذِى which وَاثَقَكُم He bound you بِهِۦٓ with [it] إِذْ when قُلْتُمْ you said, سَمِعْنَا "We heard وَأَطَعْنَا and we obeyed;" وَٱتَّقُوا۟ and fear ٱللَّهَ Allah. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلِيمٌۢ (is) All-Knower بِذَاتِ of what ٱلصُّدُورِ (is in) the breasts.
English - And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said, "We hear and we obey"; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts. .
हिंदी - और अपने ऊपर अल्लाह के एहसान को याद करो और उस के वादे को जो उसने तुम से किया, जब तुमने कहा कि हमने सुना और हमने माना और अल्लाह से डरो, बेशक अल्लाह सीनों के राज़ को ख़ूब जानने वाला है।.
Ayah 8
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! كُونُوا۟ Be قَوَّٰمِينَ steadfast لِلَّهِ for Allah شُهَدَآءَ (as) witnesses بِٱلْقِسْطِ in justice, وَلَا and let not يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ prevent you شَنَـَٔانُ hatred قَوْمٍ (of) a people عَلَىٰٓ [upon] أَلَّا that not تَعْدِلُوا۟ you do justice. ٱعْدِلُوا۟ Be just هُوَ it أَقْرَبُ (is) nearer لِلتَّقْوَىٰ to [the] piety. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah; إِنَّ indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah خَبِيرٌۢ (is) All-Aware بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do.
English - O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमान वालो, अल्लाह के लिए क़ायम रहने वाले और इंसाफ़ के साथ गवाही देने वाले बन जाओ। और तुम्हें लोगों की दुश्मनी न उभारे कि तुम इंसाफ़ न करो, इंसाफ़ करो, यही परहेज़गारी के ज़्यादा क़रीब है, और अल्लाह से डरो, बेशक अल्लाह ख़ूब ख़बर रखने वाला है उसकी जो तुम करते हो।.
Ayah 9
وَعَدَ Has promised ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ the righteous deeds - لَهُم for them مَّغْفِرَةٌ (is) forgiveness وَأَجْرٌ and a reward عَظِيمٌ great.
English - Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds [that] for them there is forgiveness and great reward. .
हिंदी - अल्लाह ने माफ़ी और एक बड़े बदले का वादा किया है उनके लिए जो ईमान लाए और नेक काम करते रहे।.
Ayah 10
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and deny بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Signs - أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those أَصْحَٰبُ (are the) companions ٱلْجَحِيمِ (of) the Hellfire.
English - But those who disbelieve and deny Our signs – those are the companions of Hellfire. .
हिंदी - और जिन लोगों ने इंकार किया और हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया, वही लोग आग वाले हैं।.
Ayah 11
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! ٱذْكُرُوا۟ Remember نِعْمَتَ (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْكُمْ upon you إِذْ when هَمَّ determined قَوْمٌ a people أَن that يَبْسُطُوٓا۟ they stretch إِلَيْكُمْ towards you أَيْدِيَهُمْ their hands, فَكَفَّ but He restrained أَيْدِيَهُمْ their hands عَنكُمْ from you. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah. وَعَلَى And upon ٱللَّهِ Allah فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ so let put the trust ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers.
English - O you who have believed, remember the favor of Allah upon you when a people determined to extend their hands [in aggression] against you, but He withheld their hands from you; and fear Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमान वालो, अपने ऊपर अल्लाह के एहसान को याद करो जब कुछ लोगों ने तुम पर हाथ बढ़ाना चाहा, तो अल्लाह ने उनके हाथों को तुम से रोक दिया और अल्लाह से डरते रहो और ईमान वालों को अल्लाह पर ही भरोसा करना चाहिए।.
Ayah 12
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَخَذَ took ٱللَّهُ Allah مِيثَٰقَ a Covenant بَنِىٓ (from the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel وَبَعَثْنَا and We appointed مِنْهُمُ among them ٱثْنَىْ two عَشَرَ (and) ten نَقِيبًا leaders. وَقَالَ And said ٱللَّهُ Allah, إِنِّى "Indeed, I (am) مَعَكُمْ with you, لَئِنْ if أَقَمْتُمُ you establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَءَاتَيْتُمُ and give ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ the zakah وَءَامَنتُم and you believe بِرُسُلِى in My Messengers وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ and you assist them وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ and you loan ٱللَّهَ (to) Allah قَرْضًا a loan حَسَنًا goodly لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ surely I will remove عَنكُمْ from you سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ your evil deeds وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ and I will surely admit you جَنَّٰتٍ (to) gardens تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath them ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers. فَمَن But whoever كَفَرَ disbelieved بَعْدَ after ذَٰلِكَ that مِنكُمْ among you, فَقَدْ then certainly ضَلَّ he strayed سَوَآءَ (from) the way, ٱلسَّبِيلِ the right.
English - And Allah had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders. And Allah said, "I am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakah and believe in My messengers and support them and loan Allah a goodly loan, I will surely remove from you your misdeeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after that has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way." .
हिंदी - और अल्लाह ने इसराईल की औलाद से वादा लिया, और उन में हमने बारह सरदार मुक़र्रर किए, और अल्लाह ने कहा कि मैं तुम्हारे साथ हंू, अगर तुम नमाज़्ा पढ़ो और ज़कात दोे और मेरे रसूलों पर ईमान लाओ और उन की मदद करो और अल्लाह को अच्छा क़र्ज़ दो तो मैं तुम से तुम्हारे गुनाहों को मिटा दूंगा और तुम्हें ऐसे बाग़ में दाख़िल करूंगा जिस के नीचे से नहरें बहती हैं, फिर जिसने तुम में से इस के बाद इंकार किया तो वह सीधे रास्ते से भटक गया।.
Ayah 13
فَبِمَا So for نَقْضِهِم their breaking مِّيثَٰقَهُمْ (of) their covenant لَعَنَّٰهُمْ We cursed them وَجَعَلْنَا and We made قُلُوبَهُمْ their hearts قَٰسِيَةً hard. يُحَرِّفُونَ They distort ٱلْكَلِمَ the words عَن from مَّوَاضِعِهِۦ their places, وَنَسُوا۟ and forgot حَظًّا a part مِّمَّا of what ذُكِّرُوا۟ they were reminded بِهِۦ of [it]. وَلَا And not تَزَالُ will you cease تَطَّلِعُ to discover عَلَىٰ of خَآئِنَةٍ treachery مِّنْهُمْ from them إِلَّا except قَلِيلًا a few مِّنْهُمْ of them. فَٱعْفُ But forgive عَنْهُمْ them وَٱصْفَحْ and overlook. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يُحِبُّ loves ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers.
English - So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good. .
हिंदी - तो उन लोगों के अपने वादे को तोड़ने की वजह से हमने उन पर लानत की और उन के दिलों को सख़्त कर दिया, यह लोग (अल्लाह की) बातों को उन की जगहों से बदल देते हैं, और वह भूल गए उस का एक बड़ा हिस्सा जो उन्हें याद दिलाया गया था और तुम उन लागों की तरफ़ से बराबर धोकेबाज़्ाी को पाओगे सिवाए उनमें से कुछ लोगों के, तो उन्हें माफ़ कर दो और नज़र अंदाज करो, बेशक अल्लाह एहसान करने वालों को पसंद करता है।.
Ayah 14
وَمِنَ And from ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوٓا۟ said, إِنَّا Indeed we نَصَٰرَىٰٓ (are) Christians," أَخَذْنَا We took مِيثَٰقَهُمْ their covenant; فَنَسُوا۟ but they forgot حَظًّا a part مِّمَّا of what ذُكِّرُوا۟ they were reminded بِهِۦ of [it]. فَأَغْرَيْنَا So We aroused بَيْنَهُمُ between them ٱلْعَدَاوَةَ [the] enmity وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ and [the] hatred إِلَىٰ till يَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection. وَسَوْفَ And soon يُنَبِّئُهُمُ will inform them ٱللَّهُ Allah بِمَا of what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَصْنَعُونَ do.
English - And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do. .
हिंदी - और जो लोग कहते हैं कि हम ईसाई हैं, हमने उन से वादा लिया था मगर भूल गए उस का एक बड़ा हिस्सा जो उन्हें याद दिलाया गया था, तो हमने उन के बीच क़यामत तक के लिए दुश्मनी और नफ़रत को भड़का दिया और जल्द ही अल्लाह उन्हें बताएगा जो कुछ वह करते थे।.
Ayah 15
يَٰٓأَهْلَ O People ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book! قَدْ Surely جَآءَكُمْ has come to you رَسُولُنَا Our Messenger يُبَيِّنُ making clear لَكُمْ to you كَثِيرًا much مِّمَّا of what كُنتُمْ you used to تُخْفُونَ conceal مِنَ of ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Scripture وَيَعْفُوا۟ and overlooking عَن of كَثِيرٍ much. قَدْ Surely جَآءَكُم has come to you مِّنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah نُورٌ a light وَكِتَٰبٌ and a Book, مُّبِينٌ clear.
English - O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scripture and overlooking much. There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book. .
हिंदी - ऐ किताब वालो, बेशक तुम्हारे पास हमारा रसूल आया, वह तुम्हें बहुत कुछ खोल खोल कर बताता है जो कुछ तुम किताब में से छिपाते थे और बहुत कुछ माफ़ कर देता है, बेशक तुम्हारे पास अल्लाह की तरफ़ से एक नूर और रोशन किताब आ चुकी है।.
Ayah 16
يَهْدِى Guides بِهِ with it ٱللَّهُ Allah مَنِ (those) who ٱتَّبَعَ seek رِضْوَٰنَهُۥ His pleasure سُبُلَ (to the) ways ٱلسَّلَٰمِ (of) the peace, وَيُخْرِجُهُم and brings them out مِّنَ from ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ the darknessess إِلَى to ٱلنُّورِ the light بِإِذْنِهِۦ by His permission, وَيَهْدِيهِمْ and guides them إِلَىٰ to صِرَٰطٍ (the) way, مُّسْتَقِيمٍ (the) straight.
English - By which Allah guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace and brings them out from darknesses into the light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path. .
हिंदी - जिस से अल्लाह हिदायत देता है सलामती के रास्ते का, उसे जो उस की पसंद पर चलता है, और उन्हें अंधेरों से रौशनी की तरफ़ निकालता है अपने हुक्म से और उन्हें सीधे रास्ते की तरफ़ हिदायत देता है।.
Ayah 17
لَّقَدْ Certainly كَفَرَ disbelieved - ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوٓا۟ said, إِنَّ "Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah, هُوَ He ٱلْمَسِيحُ (is) the Messiah, ٱبْنُ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam." قُلْ Say, فَمَن "Then who يَمْلِكُ has power مِنَ against ٱللَّهِ Allah شَيْـًٔا (in) anything إِنْ if أَرَادَ He intends أَن to يُهْلِكَ destroy ٱلْمَسِيحَ the Messiah, ٱبْنَ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam, وَأُمَّهُۥ and his mother وَمَن and whoever فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth جَمِيعًا all?" وَلِلَّهِ And for Allah مُلْكُ (is the) dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَمَا and what بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between both of them. يَخْلُقُ He creates مَا what يَشَآءُ He wills, وَٱللَّهُ and Allah عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful.
English - They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, "Then who could prevent Allah at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?" And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is over all things competent. .
हिंदी - बेशक उन लोगों ने कुफ्ऱ किया जिन्होंने कहा कि बेशक अल्लाह वह मरयम का बेटा ईसा ही है, कह दो कि कौन है जो अल्लाह को किसी चीज़ से रोक सके अगर वह ईसा मरयम के बेटे को और उस की माँ को और जो कोई ज़मीन में है सब को तबाह करने का ईरादा कर ले और अल्लाह ही के लिए आसमानों और ज़्ामीन की बादशहत है और जो कुछ उन दोनों के बीच है, वह पैदा करता है जो चाहता है और अल्लाह हर चीज़ पर ताक़त रखने वाला है।.
Ayah 18
وَقَالَتِ And said, ٱلْيَهُودُ the Jews وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ and the Christians نَحْنُ "We (are) أَبْنَٰٓؤُا۟ (the) children ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَأَحِبَّٰٓؤُهُۥ and His beloved." قُلْ Say, فَلِمَ "Then why يُعَذِّبُكُم (does He) punish you بِذُنُوبِكُم for your sins?" بَلْ Nay, أَنتُم you (are) بَشَرٌ human beings مِّمَّنْ from among (those) خَلَقَ He created. يَغْفِرُ He forgives لِمَن [for] whom يَشَآءُ He wills وَيُعَذِّبُ and punishes مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills. وَلِلَّهِ And for Allah مُلْكُ (is the) dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between them, وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return.
English - But the Jews and the Christians say, "We are the children of Allah and His beloved." Say, "Then why does He punish you for your sins?" Rather, you are human beings from among those He has created. He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the [final] destination. .
हिंदी - और ईसाई और यहूदी कहते हैं कि हम ही अल्लाह के बेटे और उसके चहेते हैं कह दो तो फिर तुम्हें तुम्हारे गुनाहों की सज़ा क्यों देता है बल्कि तुम भी उसकी मख़लूक़ात में से एक बशर हो अल्लाह जिसे चाहेगा बख़्श देगा और जिसको चाहेगा सज़ा देगा और आसमान और ज़मीन और जो कुछ उन दोनों के बीच है सब अल्लाह ही की बादशाहत है और उसी की तरफ़ लौट कर जाना है।.
Ayah 19
يَٰٓأَهْلَ O People ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book! قَدْ Surely جَآءَكُمْ has come to you رَسُولُنَا Our Messenger, يُبَيِّنُ he makes clear لَكُمْ to you عَلَىٰ [on] فَتْرَةٍ (after) an interval (of cessation) مِّنَ of ٱلرُّسُلِ the Messengers, أَن lest تَقُولُوا۟ you say مَا "Not جَآءَنَا (has) come to us مِنۢ any بَشِيرٍ bearer of glad tidings وَلَا and not نَذِيرٍ a warner." فَقَدْ But surely جَآءَكُم has come to you بَشِيرٌ a bearer of glad tidings وَنَذِيرٌ and a warner. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful.
English - O People of the Scripture, there has come to you Our Messenger to make clear to you [the religion] after a period [of suspension] of messengers, lest you say, "There came not to us any bringer of good tidings or a warner." But there has come to you a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And Allah is over all things competent. .
हिंदी - ऐ किताब वालो यक़ीनन हमारा रसूल तुम्हारे पास आया जब रसूलों का सिलसिला बंद था जो तुम्हारे लिए साफ़ साफ़ बयान करता है ताकि तुम कहीं ये न कह बैठो कि हमारे पास तो न कोई ख़ुशख़बरी देने वाला आया न आगाह करने वाला अब तो यक़ीनन तुम्हारे पास ख़ुशख़बरी देने वाला और आगाह करने वाला आ गया और अल्लाह हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है।.
Ayah 20
وَإِذْ And when قَالَ said مُوسَىٰ Musa لِقَوْمِهِۦ to his people, يَٰقَوْمِ "O my people, ٱذْكُرُوا۟ remember نِعْمَةَ (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah عَلَيْكُمْ upon you إِذْ when جَعَلَ He placed فِيكُمْ among you أَنۢبِيَآءَ Prophets وَجَعَلَكُم and made you مُّلُوكًا kings وَءَاتَىٰكُم and He gave you مَّا what لَمْ not يُؤْتِ He (had) given أَحَدًا (to) anyone مِّنَ from ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ the worlds.
English - And [mention, O Muhammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed among you prophets and made you possessors and gave you that which He had not given anyone among the worlds. .
हिंदी - ऐ रसूल उनको वह वक्त याद (दिलाओ) जब मूसा ने अपनी क़ौम से कहा था कि ऐ मेरी क़ौम जो नेअमते ख़ुदा ने तुमको दी है उसको याद करो इसलिए कि उसने तुम्हीं लोगों से बहुतेरे पैग़म्बर बनाए और तुम ही लोगों को बादशाह (भी) बनाया और तुम्हें वह नेअमतें दी हैं जो सारी ख़ुदायी में किसी एक को न दीं।.
Ayah 21
يَٰقَوْمِ "O my people! ٱدْخُلُوا۟ Enter ٱلْأَرْضَ the land, ٱلْمُقَدَّسَةَ the Holy, ٱلَّتِى which كَتَبَ (has been) ordained ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah لَكُمْ for you وَلَا and (do) not تَرْتَدُّوا۟ turn عَلَىٰٓ on أَدْبَارِكُمْ your backs, فَتَنقَلِبُوا۟ then you will turn back خَٰسِرِينَ (as) losers."
English - O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allah's cause] and [thus] become losers." .
हिंदी - ऐ मेरी क़ौम (शाम) की उस मुक़द्दस ज़मीन में जाओ जहॉ ख़ुदा ने तुम्हारी तक़दीर में (हुकूमत) लिख दी है और दुशमन के मुक़ाबले पीठ न फेरो (क्योंकि) इसमें तो तुम ख़ुद उलटा घाटा उठाओगे।.
Ayah 22
قَالُوا۟ They said, يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ "O Musa! إِنَّ Indeed, فِيهَا in it قَوْمًا (are) people جَبَّارِينَ (of) tyrannical strength وَإِنَّا and indeed, we لَن never نَّدْخُلَهَا will enter it حَتَّىٰ until يَخْرُجُوا۟ they leave مِنْهَا from it, فَإِن and if يَخْرُجُوا۟ they leave مِنْهَا [from] it فَإِنَّا then certainly we (will) دَٰخِلُونَ enter (it)."
English - They said, "O Moses, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter." .
हिंदी - वह लोग कहने लगे कि ऐ मूसा इस मुल्क में तो बड़े ज़बरदस्त (सरकश) लोग रहते हैं और जब तक वह लोग इसमें से निकल न जाएं हम तो उसमें कभी पॉव भी न रखेंगे हॉ अगर वह लोग ख़ुद इसमें से निकल जाएं तो अलबत्ता हम ज़रूर जाएंगे।.
Ayah 23
قَالَ Said رَجُلَانِ two men مِنَ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَخَافُونَ feared (Allah), أَنْعَمَ (had) favored ٱللَّهُ Allah عَلَيْهِمَا [on] both of them, ٱدْخُلُوا۟ "Enter عَلَيْهِمُ upon them ٱلْبَابَ (through) the gate فَإِذَا then when دَخَلْتُمُوهُ you have entered it فَإِنَّكُمْ then indeed, you (will be) غَٰلِبُونَ victorious. وَعَلَى And upon ٱللَّهِ Allah فَتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟ then put your trust إِن if كُنتُم you are مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Said two men from those who feared [to disobey] upon whom Allah had bestowed favor, "Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be predominant. And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers." .
हिंदी - (मगर) वह आदमी (यूशा कालिब) जो ख़ुदा का ख़ौफ़ रखते थे और जिनपर ख़ुदा ने ख़ास अपना फ़ज़ल (करम) किया था बेधड़क बोल उठे कि (अरे) उनपर हमला करके (बैतुल मुक़दस के फाटक में तो घुस पड़ो फिर देखो तो यह ऐसे बोदे हैं कि) इधर तुम फाटक में घुसे और (ये सब भाग खड़े हुए और) तुम्हारी जीत हो गयी और अगर सच्चे ईमानदार हो तो ख़ुदा ही पर भरोसा रखो।.
Ayah 24
قَالُوا۟ They said, يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ O Musa! إِنَّا Indeed, we لَن never نَّدْخُلَهَآ will enter it, أَبَدًا ever, مَّا for دَامُوا۟ as long as they are فِيهَا in it. فَٱذْهَبْ So go أَنتَ you وَرَبُّكَ and your Lord فَقَٰتِلَآ and you both fight. إِنَّا Indeed, we هَٰهُنَا are [here] قَٰعِدُونَ sitting."
English - They said, "O Moses, indeed we will not enter it, ever, as long as they are within it; so go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are remaining right here." .
हिंदी - वह कहने लगे एक मूसा (चाहे जो कुछ हो) जब तक वह लोग इसमें हैं हम तो उसमें हरगिज़ (लाख बरस) पॉव न रखेंगे हॉ तुम जाओ और तुम्हारा ख़ुदा जाए ओर दोनों (जाकर) लड़ो हम तो यहीं जमे बैठे हैं.
Ayah 25
قَالَ He said رَبِّ "O my Lord! إِنِّى Indeed, I لَآ (do) not أَمْلِكُ (have) power إِلَّا except نَفْسِى (over) myself وَأَخِى and my brother, فَٱفْرُقْ so (make a) separation بَيْنَنَا between us وَبَيْنَ and between ٱلْقَوْمِ the people, ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ (the) defiantly disobedient."
English - [Moses] said, "My Lord, indeed I do not possess except myself and my brother, so part us from the defiantly disobedient people." .
हिंदी - तब मूसा ने अर्ज़ की ख़ुदावन्दा तू ख़ूब वाक़िफ़ है कि अपनी ज़ाते ख़ास और अपने भाई के सिवा किसी पर मेरा क़ाबू नहीं बस अब हमारे और उन नाफ़रमान लोगों के दरमियान जुदाई डाल दे।.
Ayah 26
قَالَ (Allah) said, فَإِنَّهَا "Then indeed it مُحَرَّمَةٌ (will be) forbidden عَلَيْهِمْ to them أَرْبَعِينَ (for) forty سَنَةً years, يَتِيهُونَ they will wander فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth. فَلَا So (do) not تَأْسَ grieve عَلَى over ٱلْقَوْمِ the people, ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ the defiantly disobedient."
English - [Allah] said, "Then indeed, it is forbidden to them for forty years [in which] they will wander throughout the land. So do not grieve over the defiantly disobedient people." .
हिंदी - हमारा उनका साथ नहीं हो सकता (ख़ुदा ने फ़रमाया) (अच्छा) तो उनकी सज़ा यह है कि उनको चालीस बरस तक की हुकूमत नसीब न होगा (और उस मुद्दते दराज़ तक) यह लोग (मिस्र के) जंगल में सरगरदॉ रहेंगे तो फिर तुम इन बदचलन बन्दों पर अफ़सोस न करना।.
Ayah 27
وَٱتْلُ And recite عَلَيْهِمْ to them نَبَأَ the story ٱبْنَىْ (of) two sons ءَادَمَ (of) Adam, بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth, إِذْ when قَرَّبَا both offered قُرْبَانًا a sacrifice, فَتُقُبِّلَ and it was accepted مِنْ from أَحَدِهِمَا one of them وَلَمْ and not يُتَقَبَّلْ was accepted مِنَ from ٱلْءَاخَرِ the other. قَالَ Said (the latter), لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ "Surely I will kill you." قَالَ Said (the former), إِنَّمَا "Only يَتَقَبَّلُ accepts ٱللَّهُ (does) Allah مِنَ from ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the God fearing.
English - And recite to them the story of Adam's two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], "I will surely kill you." Said [the former], "Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him]. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम इन लोगों से आदम के दो बेटों (हाबील, क़ाबील) का सच्चा क़स्द बयान कर दो कि जब उन दोनों ने ख़ुदा की दरगाह में नियाज़ें चढ़ाई तो (उनमें से) एक (हाबील) की (नज़र तो) क़ुबूल हुई और दूसरे (क़ाबील) की नज़र न क़ुबूल हुई तो (मारे हसद के) हाबील से कहने लगा मैं तो तुझे ज़रूर मार डालूंगा उसने जवाब दिया कि (भाई इसमें अपना क्या बस है) ख़ुदा तो सिर्फ परहेज़गारों की नज़र कुबूल करता है।.
Ayah 28
لَئِنۢ If بَسَطتَ you stretch إِلَىَّ towards me يَدَكَ your hand لِتَقْتُلَنِى to kill me, مَآ not أَنَا۠ will I بِبَاسِطٍ stretch يَدِىَ my hand إِلَيْكَ towards you لِأَقْتُلَكَ to kill you, إِنِّىٓ indeed I أَخَافُ fear ٱللَّهَ Allah رَبَّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds."
English - If you should raise your hand against me to kill me – I shall not raise my hand against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah, Lord of the worlds. .
हिंदी - अगर तुम मेरे क़त्ल के इरादे से मेरी तरफ़ अपना हाथ बढ़ाओगे (तो ख़ैर बढ़ाओ) (मगर) मैं तो तुम्हारे क़त्ल के ख्याल से अपना हाथ बढ़ाने वाला नहीं (क्योंकि) मैं तो उस ख़ुदा से जो सारे जहॉन का पालने वाला है ज़रूर डरता हूं।.
Ayah 29
إِنِّىٓ "Indeed, I أُرِيدُ wish أَن that تَبُوٓأَ you be laden بِإِثْمِى with my sin وَإِثْمِكَ and your sin فَتَكُونَ so you will be مِنْ among أَصْحَٰبِ (the) companions ٱلنَّارِ (of) the Fire, وَذَٰلِكَ and that جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ (is the) recompense ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ (of) the wrong-doers."
English - Indeed I want you to obtain [thereby] my sin and your sin so you will be among the companions of the Fire. And that is the recompense of wrongdoers." .
हिंदी - मैं तो ज़रूर ये चाहता हूं कि मेरे गुनाह और तेरे गुनाह दोनों तेरे सर हो जॉए तो तू (अच्छा ख़ासा) जहन्नुमी बन जाए और ज़ालिमों की तो यही सज़ा है।.
Ayah 30
فَطَوَّعَتْ Then prompted لَهُۥ to him نَفْسُهُۥ his soul قَتْلَ (to) kill أَخِيهِ his brother, فَقَتَلَهُۥ so he killed him فَأَصْبَحَ and became مِنَ of ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ the losers.
English - And his soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers. .
हिंदी - फिर तो उसके नफ्स ने अपने भाई के क़त्ल पर उसे भड़का ही दिया आखि़र उस (कम्बख्त ने) उसको मार ही डाला तो घाटा उठाने वालों में से हो गया।.
Ayah 31
فَبَعَثَ Then (was) sent ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah غُرَابًا a crow, يَبْحَثُ it (was) scratching فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth لِيُرِيَهُۥ to show him كَيْفَ how يُوَٰرِى to hide سَوْءَةَ (the) dead body أَخِيهِ (of) his brother. قَالَ He said, يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ "Woe to me! أَعَجَزْتُ Am I unable أَنْ that أَكُونَ I can be مِثْلَ like هَٰذَا this ٱلْغُرَابِ [the] crow فَأُوَٰرِىَ and hide سَوْءَةَ (the) dead body أَخِى (of) my brother?" فَأَصْبَحَ Then he became مِنَ of ٱلنَّٰدِمِينَ the regretful.
English - Then Allah sent a crow searching in the ground to show him how to hide the disgrace of his brother. He said, "O woe to me! Have I failed to be like this crow and hide the body of my brother?" And he became of the regretful. .
हिंदी - (तब उसे फ़िक्र हुई कि लाश को क्या करे) तो ख़ुदा ने एक कौवे को भेजा कि वह ज़मीन को कुरेदने लगा ताकि उसे (क़ाबील) को दिखा दे कि उसे अपने भाई की लाश क्योंकर छुपानी चाहिए (ये देखकर) वह कहने लगा हाए अफ़सोस क्या मैं उस से भी आजिज़ हूं कि उस कौवे की बराबरी कर सकॅू कि (बला से यह भी होता) तो अपने भाई की लाश छुपा देता अलगरज़ वह (अपनी हरकत से) बहुत पछताया।.
Ayah 32
مِنْ From أَجْلِ time ذَٰلِكَ that, كَتَبْنَا We ordained عَلَىٰ on بَنِىٓ (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel أَنَّهُۥ that he مَن who قَتَلَ kills نَفْسًۢا a soul بِغَيْرِ other than نَفْسٍ (for) a soul أَوْ or فَسَادٍ (for) spreading corruption فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَكَأَنَّمَا then (it) is as if قَتَلَ he has killed ٱلنَّاسَ mankind, جَمِيعًا all, وَمَنْ and whoever أَحْيَاهَا saves it فَكَأَنَّمَآ then (it) is as if أَحْيَا he has saved ٱلنَّاسَ mankind. جَمِيعًا all. وَلَقَدْ And surely جَآءَتْهُمْ came to them رُسُلُنَا Our Messengers بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ with clear Signs ثُمَّ yet, إِنَّ indeed, كَثِيرًا many مِّنْهُم of them بَعْدَ after ذَٰلِكَ that فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth لَمُسْرِفُونَ (are) surely those who commit excesses.
English - Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors. .
हिंदी - इसी सबब से तो हमने बनी इसराईल पर वाजिब कर दिया था कि जो शख्स किसी को न जान के बदले में और न मुल्क में फ़साद फैलाने की सज़ा में (बल्कि नाहक़) क़त्ल कर डालेगा तो गोया उसने सब लोगों को क़त्ल कर डाला और जिसने एक आदमी को जिला दिया तो गोया उसने सब लोगों को जिला लिया और उन (बनी इसराईल) के पास तो हमारे पैग़म्बर (कैसे कैसे) रौशन मौजिज़े लेकर आ चुके हैं (मगर) फिर उसके बाद भी यक़ीनन उसमें से बहुतेरे ज़मीन पर ज्यादतियॉ करते रहे।.
Ayah 33
إِنَّمَا Only جَزَٰٓؤُا۟ (the) recompense ٱلَّذِينَ (for) those who يُحَارِبُونَ wage war ٱللَّهَ (against) Allah وَرَسُولَهُۥ and His Messenger وَيَسْعَوْنَ and strive فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَسَادًا spreading corruption أَن (is) that يُقَتَّلُوٓا۟ they be killed أَوْ or يُصَلَّبُوٓا۟ they be crucified أَوْ or تُقَطَّعَ be cut off أَيْدِيهِمْ their hands وَأَرْجُلُهُم and their feet مِّنْ of خِلَٰفٍ opposite sides أَوْ or يُنفَوْا۟ they be exiled مِنَ from ٱلْأَرْضِ the land. ذَٰلِكَ That لَهُمْ (is) for them خِزْىٌ disgrace فِى in ٱلدُّنْيَا the world وَلَهُمْ and for them فِى in ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ the Hereafter عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment عَظِيمٌ great.
English - Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment, .
हिंदी - जो लोग ख़ुदा और उसके रसूल से लड़ते भिड़ते हैं (और एहकाम को नहीं मानते) और फ़साद फैलाने की ग़रज़ से मुल्को (मुल्को) दौड़ते फिरते हैं उनकी सज़ा बस यही है कि (चुन चुनकर) या तो मार डाले जाएं या उन्हें सूली दे दी जाए या उनके हाथ पॉव हेर फेर कर एक तरफ़ का हाथ दूसरी तरफ़ का पॉव काट डाले जाएं या उन्हें (अपने वतन की) सरज़मीन से शहर बदर कर दिया जाए यह रूसवाई तो उनकी दुनिया में हुई और फिर आख़ेरत में तो उनके लिए बहुत बड़ा अज़ाब ही है।.
Ayah 34
إِلَّا Except ٱلَّذِينَ those who تَابُوا۟ repent مِن from قَبْلِ before أَن that تَقْدِرُوا۟ you overpower عَلَيْهِمْ [over] them, فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ then know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - Except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - मगर जिन लोगों ने इससे पहले कि तुम इनपर क़ाबू पाओ तौबा कर लो तो उनका गुनाह बख्श दिया जाएगा क्योंकि समझ लो कि ख़ुदा बेशक बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है।.
Ayah 35
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! ٱتَّقُوا۟ Fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَٱبْتَغُوٓا۟ and seek إِلَيْهِ towards Him ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ the means وَجَٰهِدُوا۟ and strive hard فِى in سَبِيلِهِۦ His way, لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُفْلِحُونَ succeed.
English - O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek the means [of nearness] to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमानदारों ख़ुदा से डरते रहो और उसके (तक़र्रब (क़रीब होने) के) ज़रिये की जुस्तजू में रहो और उसकी राह में जेहाद करो ताकि तुम कामयाब हो जाओ।.
Ayah 36
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve, لَوْ if أَنَّ that لَهُم for them مَّا (is) what فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth جَمِيعًا all وَمِثْلَهُۥ and the like of it مَعَهُۥ with it, لِيَفْتَدُوا۟ to ransom themselves بِهِۦ with it, مِنْ from عَذَابِ (the) punishment يَوْمِ (of the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection, مَا not تُقُبِّلَ will be accepted مِنْهُمْ from them, وَلَهُمْ and for them عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment أَلِيمٌ painful.
English - Indeed, those who disbelieve – if they should have all that is in the earth and the like of it with it by which to ransom themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it will not be accepted from them, and for them is a painful punishment .
हिंदी - इसमें शक नहीं कि जिन लोगों ने कुफ़्र इख्तेयार किया अगर उनके पास ज़मीन में जो कुछ (माल ख़ज़ाना) है (वह) सब बल्कि उतना और भी उसके साथ हो कि रोज़े क़यामत के अज़ाब का मुआवेज़ा दे दे (और ख़ुद बच जाए) तब भी (उसका ये मुआवेज़ा) कुबूल न किया जाएगा और उनके लिए दर्दनाक अज़ाब है।.
Ayah 37
يُرِيدُونَ They will wish أَن that يَخْرُجُوا۟ they come out مِنَ of ٱلنَّارِ the Fire وَمَا but not هُم they بِخَٰرِجِينَ will come out مِنْهَا of it. وَلَهُمْ And for them عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment مُّقِيمٌ lasting.
English - They will wish to get out of the Fire, but never are they to emerge therefrom, and for them is an enduring punishment. .
हिंदी - वह लोग तो चाहेंगे कि किसी तरह जहन्नुम की आग से निकल भागे मगर वहॉ से तो वह निकल ही नहीं सकते और उनके लिए तो दाएमी अज़ाब है।.
Ayah 38
وَٱلسَّارِقُ And (for) the male thief وَٱلسَّارِقَةُ and the female thief - فَٱقْطَعُوٓا۟ [then] cut off أَيْدِيَهُمَا their hands جَزَآءًۢ (as) a recompense بِمَا for what كَسَبَا they earned نَكَٰلًا (as) an exemplary (punishment) مِّنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَزِيزٌ (is) All-Mighty, حَكِيمٌ All-Wise.
English - [As for] the thief, the male and the female, amputate their hands in recompense for what they committed as a deterrent [punishment] from Allah. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise. .
हिंदी - और चोर ख्वाह मर्द हो या औरत तुम उनके करतूत की सज़ा में उनका (दाहिना) हाथ काट डालो ये (उनकी सज़ा) ख़ुदा की तरफ़ से है और ख़ुदा (तो) बड़ा ज़बरदस्त हिकमत वाला है।.
Ayah 39
فَمَن But whoever تَابَ repented مِنۢ from بَعْدِ after ظُلْمِهِۦ his wrongdoing وَأَصْلَحَ and reforms, فَإِنَّ then indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يَتُوبُ will turn in forgiveness عَلَيْهِ to him. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - But whoever repents after his wrongdoing and reforms, indeed, Allah will turn to him in forgiveness. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - हॉ जो अपने गुनाह के बाद तौबा कर ले और अपने चाल चलन दुरूस्त कर लें तो बेशक ख़ुदा भी तौबा कुबूल कर लेता है क्योंकि ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है।.
Ayah 40
أَلَمْ Do not تَعْلَمْ you know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah, لَهُۥ to Him (belongs) مُلْكُ (the) dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth? يُعَذِّبُ He punishes مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَغْفِرُ and He forgives لِمَن [to] whom يَشَآءُ He wills. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful.
English - Do you not know that to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills, and Allah is over all things competent. .
हिंदी - ऐ शख्स क्या तू नहीं जानता कि सारे आसमान व ज़मीन (ग़रज़ दुनिया जहान) में ख़ास ख़ुदा की हुकूमत है जिसे चाहे अज़ाब करे और जिसे चाहे माफ़ कर दे और ख़ुदा तो हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है।.
Ayah 41
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلرَّسُولُ Messenger! لَا Let not يَحْزُنكَ grieve you ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُسَٰرِعُونَ hasten فِى in (to) ٱلْكُفْرِ [the] disbelief - مِنَ of ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوٓا۟ said, ءَامَنَّا "We believe" بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ with their mouths وَلَمْ and not تُؤْمِن believe قُلُوبُهُمْ their hearts, وَمِنَ and from ٱلَّذِينَ those who هَادُوا۟ (are) Jews. سَمَّٰعُونَ They (are) listeners لِلْكَذِبِ to falsehood, سَمَّٰعُونَ (and) listeners لِقَوْمٍ for people, ءَاخَرِينَ other, لَمْ (who have) not يَأْتُوكَ come to you. يُحَرِّفُونَ They distort ٱلْكَلِمَ the words مِنۢ from بَعْدِ after مَوَاضِعِهِۦ their context, يَقُولُونَ saying, إِنْ "If أُوتِيتُمْ you are given هَٰذَا this فَخُذُوهُ [so] take it وَإِن but if لَّمْ not تُؤْتَوْهُ you are given it فَٱحْذَرُوا۟ then beware." وَمَن And (for) whom يُرِدِ intends ٱللَّهُ Allah فِتْنَتَهُۥ his trial, فَلَن then never تَمْلِكَ will you have power لَهُۥ for him مِنَ against ٱللَّهِ Allah شَيْـًٔا anything. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those ٱلَّذِينَ (are) the ones لَمْ never يُرِدِ will intend ٱللَّهُ Allah أَن that يُطَهِّرَ He purifies قُلُوبَهُمْ their hearts. لَهُمْ For them فِى in ٱلدُّنْيَا the world خِزْىٌ (is) disgrace وَلَهُمْ and for them فِى in ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ the Hereafter عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment عَظِيمٌ great.
English - O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] usages, saying "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allah intends fitnah – never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah. Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment. .
हिंदी - ऐ रसूल जो लोग कुफ़्र की तरफ़ लपक के चले जाते हैं तुम उनका ग़म न खाओ उनमें बाज़ तो ऐसे हैं कि अपने मुंह से बे तकल्लुफ़ कह देते हैं कि हम ईमान लाए हालॉकि उनके दिल बेईमान हैं और बाज़ यहूदी ऐसे हैं कि (जासूसी की ग़रज़ से) झूठी बातें बहुत (शौक से) सुनते हैं ताकि कुफ्फ़ार के दूसरे गिरोह को जो (अभी तक) तुम्हारे पास नहीं आए हैं सुनाएं ये लोग (तौरैत के) अल्फ़ाज़ की उनके असली मायने (मालूम होने) के बाद भी तहरीफ़ करते हैं (और लोगों से) कहते हैं कि (ये तौरैत का हुक्म है) अगर मोहम्मद की तरफ़ से (भी) तुम्हें यही हुक्म दिया जाय तो उसे मान लेना और अगर यह हुक्म तुमको न दिया जाए तो उससे अलग ही रहना और (ऐ रसूल) जिसको ख़ुदा ख़राब करना चाहता है तो उसके वास्ते ख़ुदा से तुम्हारा कुछ ज़ोर नहीं चल सकता यह लोग तो वही हैं जिनके दिलों को ख़ुदा ने (गुनाहों से) पाक करने का इरादा ही नहीं किया (बल्कि) उनके लिए तो दुनिया में भी रूसवाई है और आख़ेरत में भी (उनके लिए) बड़ा (भारी) अज़ाब होगा।.
Ayah 42
سَمَّٰعُونَ Listeners لِلْكَذِبِ to [the] falsehood, أَكَّٰلُونَ devourers لِلسُّحْتِ of the forbidden. فَإِن So if جَآءُوكَ they come to you فَٱحْكُم then judge بَيْنَهُمْ between them أَوْ or أَعْرِضْ turn away عَنْهُمْ from them. وَإِن And if تُعْرِضْ you turn away عَنْهُمْ from them, فَلَن then never يَضُرُّوكَ will they harm you شَيْـًٔا (in) anything. وَإِنْ And if حَكَمْتَ you judge, فَٱحْكُم then judge بَيْنَهُم between them بِٱلْقِسْطِ with [the] justice. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يُحِبُّ loves ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ the ones who are just.
English - [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, devourers of [what is] unlawful. So if they come to you, [O Muhammad], judge between them or turn away from them. And if you turn away from them – never will they harm you at all. And if you judge, judge between them with justice. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly. .
हिंदी - ये (कम्बख्त) झूठी बातों को बड़े शौक़ से सुनने वाले और बड़े ही हरामख़ोर हैं तो (ऐ रसूल) अगर ये लोग तुम्हारे पास (कोई मामला लेकर) आए तो तुमको इख्तेयार है ख्वाह उनके दरमियान फैसला कर दो या उनसे किनाराकशी करो और अगर तुम किनाराकश रहोगे तो (कुछ ख्याल न करो) ये लोग तुम्हारा हरगिज़ कुछ बिगाड़ नहीं सकते और अगर उनमें फैसला करो तो इन्साफ़ से फैसला करो क्योंकि ख़ुदा इन्साफ़ करने वालों को दोस्त रखता है।.
Ayah 43
وَكَيْفَ But how can يُحَكِّمُونَكَ they appoint you a judge وَعِندَهُمُ while they (have) with them ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةُ the Taurat, فِيهَا in it حُكْمُ (is the) Command ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah? ثُمَّ Then يَتَوَلَّوْنَ they turn away مِنۢ from بَعْدِ after ذَٰلِكَ that, وَمَآ and not أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ (are) the believers.
English - But how is it that they come to you for judgment while they have the Torah, in which is the judgment of Allah? Then they turn away, [even] after that; but those are not [in fact] believers. .
हिंदी - और जब ख़ुद उनके पास तौरेत है और उसमें ख़ुदा का हुक्म (मौजूद) है तो फिर तुम्हारे पास फैसला कराने को क्यों आते हैं और (लुत्फ़ तो ये है कि) इसके बाद फिर (तुम्हारे हुक्म से) फिर जाते हैं ओर सच तो यह है कि यह लोग ईमानदार ही नहीं हैं।.
Ayah 44
إِنَّآ Indeed, أَنزَلْنَا We revealed ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ the Taurat فِيهَا in it هُدًى (was) Guidance وَنُورٌ and light; يَحْكُمُ judged بِهَا by it ٱلنَّبِيُّونَ the Prophets, ٱلَّذِينَ those who أَسْلَمُوا۟ had submitted (to Allah) لِلَّذِينَ for those who هَادُوا۟ were Jews, وَٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ and the Rabbis, وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ and the scholars, بِمَا with what ٱسْتُحْفِظُوا۟ they were entrusted مِن of كِتَٰبِ (the) Book ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَكَانُوا۟ and they were عَلَيْهِ to it شُهَدَآءَ witnesses. فَلَا So (do) not تَخْشَوُا۟ fear ٱلنَّاسَ the people وَٱخْشَوْنِ but fear Me, وَلَا and (do) not تَشْتَرُوا۟ sell بِـَٔايَٰتِى My Verses ثَمَنًا (for) a price, قَلِيلًا little. وَمَن And whoever لَّمْ (does) not يَحْكُم judge بِمَآ by what أَنزَلَ has revealed ٱللَّهُ Allah, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ (are) the disbelievers.
English - Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the disbelievers. .
हिंदी - बेशक हम ने तौरेत नाज़िल की जिसमें (लोगों की) हिदायत और नूर (ईमान) है उसी के मुताबिक़ ख़ुदा के फ़रमाबरदार बन्दे (अम्बियाए बनी इसराईल) यहूदियों को हुक्म देते रहे और अल्लाह वाले और उलेमाए (यहूद) भी किताबे ख़ुदा से (हुक्म देते थे) जिसके वह मुहाफ़िज़ बनाए गए थे और वह उसके गवाह भी थे पस (ऐ मुसलमानों) तुम लोगों से (ज़रा भी) न डरो (बल्कि) मुझ ही से डरो और मेरी आयतों के बदले में (दुनिया की दौलत जो दर हक़ीक़त बहुत थोड़ी क़ीमत है) न लो और (समझ लो कि) जो शख्स ख़ुदा की नाज़िल की हुई (किताब) के मुताबिक़ हुक्म न दे तो ऐसे ही लोग काफ़िर हैं।.
Ayah 45
وَكَتَبْنَا And We ordained عَلَيْهِمْ for them فِيهَآ in it أَنَّ that - ٱلنَّفْسَ the life بِٱلنَّفْسِ for the life, وَٱلْعَيْنَ and the eye بِٱلْعَيْنِ for the eye, وَٱلْأَنفَ and the nose بِٱلْأَنفِ for the nose, وَٱلْأُذُنَ and the ear بِٱلْأُذُنِ for the ear, وَٱلسِّنَّ and the tooth بِٱلسِّنِّ for the tooth, وَٱلْجُرُوحَ and (for) wounds قِصَاصٌ (is) retribution. فَمَن But whoever تَصَدَّقَ gives charity بِهِۦ with it, فَهُوَ then it is كَفَّارَةٌ an expiation لَّهُۥ for him. وَمَن And whoever لَّمْ (does) not يَحْكُم judge بِمَآ by what أَنزَلَ has revealed ٱللَّهُ Allah, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ (are) the wrongdoers.
English - And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the wrongdoers. .
हिंदी - और हम ने तौरेत में यहूदियों पर यह हुक्म फर्ज क़र दिया था कि जान के बदले जान और ऑख के बदले ऑख और नाक के बदले नाक और कान के बदले कान और दॉत के बदले दॉत और जख्म के बदले (वैसा ही) बराबर का बदला (जख्म) है फिर जो (मज़लूम ज़ालिम की) ख़ता माफ़ कर दे तो ये उसके गुनाहों का कफ्फ़ारा हो जाएगा और जो शख्स ख़ुदा की नाज़िल की हुई (किताब) के मुवाफ़िक़ हुक्म न दे तो ऐसे ही लोग ज़ालिम हैं।.
Ayah 46
وَقَفَّيْنَا And We sent عَلَىٰٓ on ءَاثَٰرِهِم their footsteps بِعِيسَى Isa, ٱبْنِ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam, مُصَدِّقًا confirming لِّمَا what بَيْنَ (was) between يَدَيْهِ his hands مِنَ of ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ the Taurat, وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ and We gave him ٱلْإِنجِيلَ the Injeel, فِيهِ in it هُدًى (was) Guidance وَنُورٌ and light وَمُصَدِّقًا and confirming لِّمَا what بَيْنَ (was) between يَدَيْهِ his hands مِنَ of ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ the Taurat وَهُدًى and a Guidance وَمَوْعِظَةً and an admonition لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ for the God conscious.
English - And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous. .
हिंदी - और हम ने उन्हीं पैग़म्बरों के क़दम ब क़दम मरियम के बेटे ईसा को चलाया और वह इस किताब तौरैत की भी तस्दीक़ करते थे जो उनके सामने (पहले से) मौजूद थी और हमने उनको इन्जील (भी) अता की जिसमें (लोगों के लिए हर तरह की) हिदायत थी और नूर (ईमान) और वह इस किताब तौरेत की जो वक्ते नुज़ूले इन्जील (पहले से) मौजूद थी तसदीक़ करने वाली और परहेज़गारों की हिदायत व नसीहत थी।.
Ayah 47
وَلْيَحْكُمْ And let judge أَهْلُ (the) People ٱلْإِنجِيلِ (of) the Injeel بِمَآ by what أَنزَلَ has revealed ٱللَّهُ Allah فِيهِ in it. وَمَن And whoever لَّمْ (does) not يَحْكُم judge بِمَآ by what أَنزَلَ has revealed ٱللَّهُ Allah فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] (are) ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ the defiantly disobedient.
English - And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient. .
हिंदी - और इन्जील वालों (नसारा) को जो कुछ ख़ुदा ने (उसमें) नाज़िल किया है उसके मुताबिक़ हुक्म करना चाहिए और जो शख्स ख़ुदा की नाज़िल की हुई (किताब के मुआफ़िक) हुक्म न दे तो ऐसे ही लोग बदकार हैं।.
Ayah 48
وَأَنزَلْنَآ And We revealed إِلَيْكَ to you ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book بِٱلْحَقِّ in [the] truth, مُصَدِّقًا confirming لِّمَا what بَيْنَ (was) before يَدَيْهِ his hands مِنَ of ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book وَمُهَيْمِنًا and a guardian عَلَيْهِ over it. فَٱحْكُم So judge بَيْنَهُم between them بِمَآ by what أَنزَلَ has revealed ٱللَّهُ Allah وَلَا and (do) not تَتَّبِعْ follow أَهْوَآءَهُمْ their vain desires عَمَّا when جَآءَكَ has come to you مِنَ of ٱلْحَقِّ the truth. لِكُلٍّ For each جَعَلْنَا We have made مِنكُمْ for you شِرْعَةً a law وَمِنْهَاجًا and a clear way. وَلَوْ And if شَآءَ (had) willed ٱللَّهُ Allah لَجَعَلَكُمْ He (would have) made you أُمَّةً a community, وَٰحِدَةً one, وَلَٰكِن [and] but لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ to test you فِى in مَآ what ءَاتَىٰكُمْ He (has) given you, فَٱسْتَبِقُوا۟ so race ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ (to) the good. إِلَى To ٱللَّهِ Allah مَرْجِعُكُمْ you will return, جَمِيعًا all, فَيُنَبِّئُكُم then He will inform you بِمَا of what كُنتُمْ you were فِيهِ concerning it تَخْتَلِفُونَ differing.
English - And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ. .
हिंदी - और (ऐ रसूल) हमने तुम पर भी बरहक़ किताब नाज़िल की जो किताब (उसके पहले से) उसके वक्त में मौजूद है उसकी तसदीक़ करती है और उसकी निगेहबान (भी) है जो कुछ तुम पर ख़ुदा ने नाज़िल किया है उसी के मुताबिक़ तुम भी हुक्म दो और जो हक़ बात ख़ुदा की तरफ़ से आ चुकी है उससे कतरा के उन लोगों की ख्वाहिशे नफ़सियानी की पैरवी न करो और हमने तुम में हर एक के वास्ते (हस्बे मसलेहते वक्त) एक एक शरीयत और ख़ास तरीक़े पर मुक़र्रर कर दिया और अगर ख़ुदा चाहता तो तुम सब के सब को एक ही (शरीयत की) उम्मत बना देता मगर (मुख़तलिफ़ शरीयतों से) ख़ुदा का मतलब यह था कि जो कुछ तुम्हें दिया है उसमें तुम्हारा इमतेहान करे बस तुम नेकी में लपक कर आगे बढ़ जाओ और (यक़ीन जानो कि) तुम सब को ख़ुदा ही की तरफ़ लौट कर जाना है।.
Ayah 49
وَأَنِ And that ٱحْكُم you judge بَيْنَهُم between them بِمَآ by what أَنزَلَ (has) revealed ٱللَّهُ Allah وَلَا and (do) not تَتَّبِعْ follow أَهْوَآءَهُمْ their vain desires وَٱحْذَرْهُمْ and beware of them أَن lest يَفْتِنُوكَ they tempt you away عَنۢ from بَعْضِ some مَآ (of) what أَنزَلَ has revealed ٱللَّهُ Allah إِلَيْكَ to you. فَإِن And if تَوَلَّوْا۟ they turn away فَٱعْلَمْ then know that أَنَّمَا only يُرِيدُ intends ٱللَّهُ Allah أَن to يُصِيبَهُم afflict them بِبَعْضِ for some ذُنُوبِهِمْ (of) their sins. وَإِنَّ And indeed, كَثِيرًا many مِّنَ of ٱلنَّاسِ the people لَفَٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobedient.
English - And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away – then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient. .
हिंदी - तब (उस वक्त) ज़िन बातों में तुम इख्तेलाफ़ करते वह तुम्हें बता देगा और (ऐ रसूल) हम फिर कहते हैं कि जो एहकाम ख़ुदा नाज़िल किए हैं तुम उसके मुताबिक़ फैसला करो और उनकी (बेजा) ख्वाहिशे नफ़सियानी की पैरवी न करो (बल्कि) तुम उनसे बचे रहो (ऐसा न हो) कि किसी हुक्म से जो ख़ुदा ने तुम पर नाज़िल किया है तुमको ये लोग भटका दें फिर अगर ये लोग तुम्हारे हुक्म से मुंह मोड़ें तो समझ लो कि (गोया) ख़ुदा ही की मरज़ी है कि उनके बाज़ गुनाहों की वजह से उन्हें मुसीबत में फॅसा दे और इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि बहुतेरे लोग बदचलन हैं।.
Ayah 50
أَفَحُكْمَ Is it then the judgment ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ (of the time of) ignorance يَبْغُونَ they seek? وَمَنْ And who (is) أَحْسَنُ better مِنَ than ٱللَّهِ Allah حُكْمًا (in) judgment لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يُوقِنُونَ (who) firmly believe.
English - hen is it the judgment of [the time of] ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgment for a people who are certain [in faith]. .
हिंदी - क्या ये लोग (ज़मानाए) जाहिलीयत के हुक्म की (तुमसे भी) तमन्ना रखते हैं हालॉकि यक़ीन करने वाले लोगों के वास्ते हुक्मे ख़ुदा से बेहतर कौन होगा।.
Ayah 51
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Do) not تَتَّخِذُوا۟ take ٱلْيَهُودَ the Jews وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰٓ and the Christians أَوْلِيَآءَ (as) allies. بَعْضُهُمْ Some of them أَوْلِيَآءُ (are) allies بَعْضٍ (to) others. وَمَن And whoever يَتَوَلَّهُم takes them as allies مِّنكُمْ among you, فَإِنَّهُۥ then indeed, he مِنْهُمْ (is) of them. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide ٱلْقَوْمَ the people, ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoing.
English - O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमानदारों यहूदियों और नसरानियों को अपना सरपरस्त न बनाओ (क्योंकि) ये लोग (तुम्हारे मुख़ालिफ़ हैं मगर) बाहम एक दूसरे के दोस्त हैं और (याद रहे कि) तुममें से जिसने उनको अपना सरपरस्त बनाया पस फिर वह भी उन्हीं लोगों में से हो गया बेशक ख़ुदा ज़ालिम लोगों को राहे रास्त पर नहीं लाता।.
Ayah 52
فَتَرَى And you see ٱلَّذِينَ those - فِى in قُلُوبِهِم their hearts مَّرَضٌ (is) a disease يُسَٰرِعُونَ they hasten فِيهِمْ to them يَقُولُونَ saying, نَخْشَىٰٓ "We fear أَن that تُصِيبَنَا (may) strike us دَآئِرَةٌ a misfortune." فَعَسَى But perhaps ٱللَّهُ Allah أَن [that] يَأْتِىَ will bring بِٱلْفَتْحِ the victory أَوْ or أَمْرٍ a decision مِّنْ from عِندِهِۦ (of) Him. فَيُصْبِحُوا۟ Then they will become عَلَىٰ for مَآ what أَسَرُّوا۟ they had concealed فِىٓ within أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves, نَٰدِمِينَ regretful.
English - So you see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into [association with] them, saying, "We are afraid a misfortune may strike us." But perhaps Allah will bring conquest or a decision from Him, and they will become, over what they have been concealing within themselves, regretful. .
हिंदी - तो (ऐ रसूल) जिन लोगों के दिलों में (नेफ़ाक़ की) बीमारी है तुम उन्हें देखोगे कि उनमें दौड़ दौड़ के मिले जाते हैं और तुमसे उसकी वजह यह बयान करते हैं कि हम तो इससे डरते हैं कि कहीं ऐसा न हो उनके न (मिलने से) ज़माने की गर्दिश में न मुब्तिला हो जाएं तो अनक़रीब ही ख़ुदा (मुसलमानों की) फ़तेह या कोई और बात अपनी तरफ़ से ज़ाहिर कर देगा तब यह लोग इस बदगुमानी पर जो अपने जी में छिपाते थे शर्माएंगे।.
Ayah 53
وَيَقُولُ And will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believe, أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ "Are these ٱلَّذِينَ those who أَقْسَمُوا۟ swore بِٱللَّهِ by Allah جَهْدَ strongest, أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ (of) their oaths, إِنَّهُمْ indeed, they لَمَعَكُمْ (were) with you?" حَبِطَتْ Became worthless أَعْمَٰلُهُمْ their deeds, فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ and they became خَٰسِرِينَ (the) losers.
English - And those who believe will say, "Are these the ones who swore by Allah their strongest oaths that indeed they were with you?" Their deeds have become worthless, and they have become losers. .
हिंदी - और मोमिनीन (जब उन पर नेफ़ाक़ ज़ाहिर हो जाएगा तो) कहेंगे क्या ये वही लोग हैं जो सख्त से सख्त क़समें खाकर (हमसे) कहते थे कि हम ज़रूर तुम्हारे साथ हैं उनका सारा किया धरा अकारत हुआ और सख्त घाटे में आ गए।.
Ayah 54
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! مَن Whoever يَرْتَدَّ turns back مِنكُمْ among you عَن from دِينِهِۦ his religion, فَسَوْفَ then soon يَأْتِى (will be) brought ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah بِقَوْمٍ a people يُحِبُّهُمْ whom He loves وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ and they love Him, أَذِلَّةٍ humble عَلَى towards ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers أَعِزَّةٍ (and) stern عَلَى towards ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers; يُجَٰهِدُونَ striving فِى in سَبِيلِ (the) way ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَلَا and not يَخَافُونَ fearing لَوْمَةَ the blame لَآئِمٍ (of) a critic. ذَٰلِكَ That فَضْلُ (is the) Grace ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, يُؤْتِيهِ He grants مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah وَٰسِعٌ (is) All-Encompassing, عَلِيمٌ All-Knowing.
English - O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion – Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमानदारों तुममें से जो कोई अपने दीन से फिर जाएगा तो (कुछ परवाह नहीं फिर जाए) अनक़रीब ही ख़ुदा ऐसे लोगों को ज़ाहिर कर देगा जिन्हें ख़ुदा दोस्त रखता होगा और वह उसको दोस्त रखते होंगे ईमानदारों के साथ नर्म और मुन्किर (और) काफ़िरों के साथ सख्त ख़ुदा की राह में जेहाद करेंगे और किसी मलामत करने वाले की मलामत की कुछ परवाह न करेंगे ये ख़ुदा का फ़ज़ल (व करम) है वह जिसे चाहता हे देता है और ख़ुदा तो बड़ी गुन्जाइश वाला वाक़िफ़कार है।.
Ayah 55
إِنَّمَا Only وَلِيُّكُمُ your ally ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah وَرَسُولُهُۥ and His Messenger, وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, ٱلَّذِينَ and those who يُقِيمُونَ establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَيُؤْتُونَ and give ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ zakah وَهُمْ and they رَٰكِعُونَ (are) those who bow down.
English - Your ally is none but Allah and [therefore] His Messenger and those who have believed – those who establish prayer and give zakah, and they bow [in worship]. .
हिंदी - (ऐ ईमानदारों) तुम्हारे मालिक सरपरस्त तो बस यही हैं ख़ुदा और उसका रसूल और वह मोमिनीन जो पाबन्दी से नमाज़ अदा करते हैं और हालत रूकूउ में ज़कात देते हैं।.
Ayah 56
وَمَن And whoever يَتَوَلَّ takes as an ally ٱللَّهَ Allah وَرَسُولَهُۥ and His Messenger وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, فَإِنَّ then indeed. حِزْبَ (the) party ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah - هُمُ they ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ (are) the victorious.
English - And whoever is an ally of Allah and His Messenger and those who have believed – indeed, the party of Allah – they will be the predominant. .
हिंदी - और जिस शख्स ने ख़ुदा और रसूल और (उन्हीं) ईमानदारों को अपना सरपरस्त बनाया तो (ख़ुदा के लशकर में आ गया और) इसमें तो शक नहीं कि ख़ुदा ही का लशकर वर (ग़ालिब) रहता है।.
Ayah 57
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Do) not تَتَّخِذُوا۟ take ٱلَّذِينَ those who ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ take دِينَكُمْ your religion هُزُوًا (in) ridicule وَلَعِبًا and fun مِّنَ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who أُوتُوا۟ are given ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book مِن from قَبْلِكُمْ before you وَٱلْكُفَّارَ and the disbelievers أَوْلِيَآءَ (as) allies. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah, إِن if كُنتُم you are مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - O you who have believed, take not those who have taken your religion in ridicule and amusement among the ones who were given the Scripture before you nor the disbelievers as allies. And fear Allah, if you should [truly] be believers. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमानदारों जिन लोगों (यहूद व नसारा) को तुम से पहले किताबे (ख़ुदा तौरेत, इन्जील) दी जा चुकी है उनमें से जिन लोगों ने तुम्हारे दीन को हॅसी खेल बना रखा है उनको और कुफ्फ़ार को अपना सरपरस्त न बनाओ और अगर तुम सच्चे ईमानदार हो तो ख़ुदा ही से डरते रहो।.
Ayah 58
وَإِذَا And when نَادَيْتُمْ you make a call إِلَى for ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ the prayer, ٱتَّخَذُوهَا they take it هُزُوًا (in) ridicule وَلَعِبًا and fun. ذَٰلِكَ That بِأَنَّهُمْ (is) because they قَوْمٌ (are) a people لَّا (who do) not يَعْقِلُونَ understand.
English - And when you call to prayer, they take it in ridicule and amusement. That is because they are a people who do not use reason. .
हिंदी - और (उनकी शरारत यहॉ तक पहुंची) कि जब तुम (अज़ान देकर) नमाज़ के वास्ते (लोगों को) बुलाते हो ये लोग नमाज़ को हॅसी खेल बनाते हैं ये इस वजह से कि (लोग बिल्कुल बे अक्ल हैं) और कुछ नहीं समझते।.
Ayah 59
قُلْ Say, يَٰٓأَهْلَ "O People ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book! هَلْ Do تَنقِمُونَ you resent مِنَّآ [of] us إِلَّآ except أَنْ that ءَامَنَّا we believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَمَآ and what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْنَا to us وَمَآ and what أُنزِلَ was revealed مِن from قَبْلُ before, وَأَنَّ and that أَكْثَرَكُمْ most of you فَٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobedient."
English - Say, "O People of the Scripture, do you resent us except [for the fact] that we have believed in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed before and because most of you are defiantly disobedient?" .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल अहले किताब से कहो कि) आखि़र तुम हमसे इसके सिवा और क्या ऐब लगा सकते हो कि हम ख़ुदा पर और जो (किताब) हमारे पास भेजी गयी है और जो हमसे पहले भेजी गयी ईमान लाए हैं और ये तुममें के अक्सर बदकार हैं।.
Ayah 60
قُلْ Say, هَلْ "Shall أُنَبِّئُكُم I inform you بِشَرٍّ (of) worse مِّن than ذَٰلِكَ that مَثُوبَةً (as) recompense عِندَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah? مَن Whom لَّعَنَهُ has (been) cursed ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah وَغَضِبَ and He became angry عَلَيْهِ with him وَجَعَلَ and made مِنْهُمُ of them ٱلْقِرَدَةَ [the] apes وَٱلْخَنَازِيرَ and [the] swines, وَعَبَدَ and (who) worshipped ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ the false deities. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those شَرٌّ (are) worse مَّكَانًا (in) position وَأَضَلُّ and farthest astray عَن from سَوَآءِ (the) even ٱلسَّبِيلِ way."
English - Say, "Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as penalty from Allah? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of ‹taghūt. Those are worse in position and further astray from the sound way." .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि मैं तुम्हें ख़ुदा के नज़दीक सज़ा में इससे कहीं बदतर ऐब बता दूं (अच्छा लो सुनो) जिसपर ख़ुदा ने लानत की हो और उस पर ग़ज़ब ढाया हो और उनमें से किसी को (मसख़ करके) बन्दर और (किसी को) सूअर बना दिया हो और (ख़ुदा को छोड़कर) शैतान की परस्तिश की हो पस ये लोग दरजे में कहीं बदतर और राहे रास्त से भटक के सबसे ज्यादा दूर जा पहुंचे हैं।.
Ayah 61
وَإِذَا And when جَآءُوكُمْ they come to you قَالُوٓا۟ they say, ءَامَنَّا "We believe." وَقَد But certainly دَّخَلُوا۟ they entered بِٱلْكُفْرِ with disbelief وَهُمْ and they قَدْ certainly خَرَجُوا۟ went out بِهِۦ with it. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah أَعْلَمُ knows best بِمَا [of] what كَانُوا۟ they were يَكْتُمُونَ hiding.
English - And when they come to you, they say, "We believe." But they have entered with disbelief [in their hearts], and they have certainly left with it. And Allah is most knowing of what they were concealing. .
हिंदी - और (मुसलमानों) जब ये लोग तुम्हारे पास आ जाते हैं तो कहते हैं कि हम तो ईमान लाए हैं हालॉकि वह कुफ़्र ही को साथ लेकर आए और फिर निकले भी तो साथ लिए हुए और जो नेफ़ाक़ वह छुपाए हुए थे ख़ुदा उसे ख़ूब जानता है।.
Ayah 62
وَتَرَىٰ And you see كَثِيرًا many مِّنْهُمْ of them يُسَٰرِعُونَ hastening فِى into ٱلْإِثْمِ [the] sin وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ and [the] transgression وَأَكْلِهِمُ and eating ٱلسُّحْتَ the forbidden. لَبِئْسَ Surely evil مَا (is) what كَانُوا۟ they were يَعْمَلُونَ doing.
English - And you see many of them hastening into sin and aggression and the devouring of [what is] unlawful. How wretched is what they have been doing. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम उनमें से बहुतेरों को देखोगे कि गुनाह और सरकशी और हरामख़ोरी की तरफ़ दौड़ पड़ते हैं जो काम ये लोग करते थे वह यक़ीनन बहुत बुरा है।.
Ayah 63
لَوْلَا Why (do) not يَنْهَىٰهُمُ forbid them, ٱلرَّبَّٰنِيُّونَ the Rabbis وَٱلْأَحْبَارُ and the religious scholars عَن from قَوْلِهِمُ their saying ٱلْإِثْمَ the sinful وَأَكْلِهِمُ and their eating ٱلسُّحْتَ (of) the forbidden? لَبِئْسَ Surely, evil مَا (is) what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَصْنَعُونَ do.
English - Why do the rabbis and religious scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and devouring what is unlawful? How wretched is what they have been practicing. .
हिंदी - उनको अल्लाह वाले और उलेमा झूठ बोलने और हरामख़ोरी से क्यों नहीं रोकते जो (दरगुज़र) ये लोग करते हैं यक़ीनन बहुत ही बुरी है।.
Ayah 64
وَقَالَتِ And said ٱلْيَهُودُ the Jews, يَدُ "The Hand ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah مَغْلُولَةٌ (is) chained." غُلَّتْ Are chained أَيْدِيهِمْ their hands, وَلُعِنُوا۟ and they have been cursed بِمَا for what قَالُوا۟ they said. بَلْ Nay, يَدَاهُ His Hands مَبْسُوطَتَانِ (are) stretched out يُنفِقُ He spends كَيْفَ how يَشَآءُ He wills. وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ And surely increase كَثِيرًا many مِّنْهُم of them, مَّآ what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْكَ to you مِن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord, طُغْيَٰنًا (in) rebellion وَكُفْرًا and disbelief. وَأَلْقَيْنَا And We have cast بَيْنَهُمُ among them ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ [the] enmity وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ and [the] hatred إِلَىٰ till يَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection. كُلَّمَآ Every time أَوْقَدُوا۟ they kindled نَارًا (the) fire لِّلْحَرْبِ of [the] war, أَطْفَأَهَا it (was) extinguished ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah. وَيَسْعَوْنَ And they strive فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَسَادًا spreading corruption. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah لَا (does) not يُحِبُّ love ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ the corrupters.
English - And the Jews say, "The hand of Allah is chained." Chained are their hands, and cursed are they for what they say. Rather, both His hands are extended; He spends however He wills. And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. And We have cast among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war [against you], Allah extinguished it. And they strive throughout the land [causing] corruption, and Allah does not like corrupters. .
हिंदी - और यहूदी कहने लगे कि ख़ुदा का हाथ बॅधा हुआ है (बख़ील हो गया) उन्हीं के हाथ बॉध दिए जाएं और उनके (इस) कहने पर (ख़ुदा की) फिटकार बरसे (ख़ुदा का हाथ बॅधने क्यों लगा) बल्कि उसके दोनों हाथ कुशादा हैं जिस तरह चाहता है ख़र्च करता है और जो (किताब) तुम्हारे पास नाज़िल की गयी है (उनका शक व हसद) उनमें से बहुतेरों को कुफ़्र व सरकशी को और बढ़ा देगा और (गोया) हमने ख़ुद उनके आपस में रोज़े क़यामत तक अदावत और कीने की बुनियाद डाल दी जब ये लोग लड़ाई की आग भड़काते हैं तो ख़ुदा उसको बुझा देता है और रूए ज़मीन में फ़साद फेलाने के लिए दौड़ते फिरते हैं और ख़ुदा फ़सादियों को दोस्त नहीं रखता।.
Ayah 65
وَلَوْ And if أَنَّ that أَهْلَ (the) People ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book ءَامَنُوا۟ (had) believed وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ and feared (Allah), لَكَفَّرْنَا surely We (would have) removed عَنْهُمْ from them سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ their evil (deeds) وَلَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ and surely We (would have) admitted them جَنَّٰتِ (to) Gardens ٱلنَّعِيمِ (of) Bliss.
English - And if only the People of the Scripture had believed and feared Allah, We would have removed from them their misdeeds and admitted them to Gardens of Pleasure. .
हिंदी - और अगर अहले किताब ईमान लाते और (हमसे) डरते तो हम ज़रूर उनके गुनाहों से दरगुज़र करते और उनको नेअमत व आराम (बेहिशत के बाग़ों में) पहुंचा देते।.
Ayah 66
وَلَوْ And if أَنَّهُمْ that they أَقَامُوا۟ had stood firmly ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ (by) the Taurat وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ and the Injeel وَمَآ and what أُنزِلَ was revealed إِلَيْهِم to them مِّن from رَّبِّهِمْ their Lord, لَأَكَلُوا۟ surely they (would have) eaten مِن from فَوْقِهِمْ above them وَمِن and from تَحْتِ beneath أَرْجُلِهِم their feet. مِّنْهُمْ Among them أُمَّةٌ (is) a community مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ moderate, وَكَثِيرٌ but many مِّنْهُمْ of them - سَآءَ evil مَا (is) what يَعْمَلُونَ they do.
English - And if only they upheld [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to them from their Lord, they would have consumed [provision] from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them are a moderate community, but many of them – evil is that which they do. .
हिंदी - और अगर यह लोग तौरैत और इन्जील और (सहीफ़े) उनके पास उनके परवरदिगार की तरफ़ से नाज़िल किये गए थे (उनके एहकाम को) क़ायम रखते तो ज़रूर (उनके) ऊपर से भी (रिज़क़ बरस पड़ता) और पॉवों के नीचे से भी उबल आता और (ये ख़ूब चौन से) खाते उनमें से कुछ लोग तो एतदाल पर हैं (मगर) उनमें से बहुतेरे जो कुछ करते हैं बुरा ही करते हैं।.
Ayah 67
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلرَّسُولُ Messenger! بَلِّغْ Convey مَآ what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْكَ to you مِن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord, وَإِن and if لَّمْ not تَفْعَلْ you do فَمَا then not بَلَّغْتَ you (have) conveyed رِسَالَتَهُۥ His Message. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah يَعْصِمُكَ will protect you مِنَ from ٱلنَّاسِ the people. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide ٱلْقَوْمَ the people, ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelieving.
English - O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people. Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people. .
हिंदी - ऐ रसूल जो हुक्म तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की तरफ़ से तुम पर नाज़िल किया गया है पहुंचा दो और अगर तुमने ऐसा न किया तो (समझ लो कि) तुमने उसका कोई पैग़ाम ही नहीं पहुंचाया और (तुम डरो नहीं) ख़ुदा तुमको लोगों के श्शर से महफ़ूज़ रखेगा ख़ुदा हरगिज़ काफ़िरों की क़ौम को मंज़िले मक़सूद तक नहीं पहुंचाता।.
Ayah 68
قُلْ Say, يَٰٓأَهْلَ "O People ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book! لَسْتُمْ You are not عَلَىٰ on شَىْءٍ anything حَتَّىٰ until تُقِيمُوا۟ you stand firmly ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ (by) the Taurat وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ and the Injeel وَمَآ and what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْكُم to you مِّن from رَّبِّكُمْ your Lord. وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ And surely increase كَثِيرًا many مِّنْهُم of them, مَّآ what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْكَ to you مِن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord, طُغْيَٰنًا (in) rebellion وَكُفْرًا and disbelief. فَلَا So (do) not تَأْسَ grieve عَلَى over ٱلْقَوْمِ the people, ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelieving.
English - Say, "O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि ऐ अहले किताब जब तक तुम तौरेत और इन्जील और जो (सहीफ़े) तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की तरफ़ से तुम पर नाज़िल हुए हैं उनके (एहकाम) को क़ायम न रखोगे उस वक्त तक तुम्हारा मज़बह कुछ भी नहीं और (ऐ रसूल) जो (किताब) तुम्हारे पास तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की तरफ़ से भेजी गयी है (उसका) रश्क (हसद) उनमें से बहुतेरों की सरकशी व कुफ़्र को और बढ़ा देगा तुम काफ़िरों के गिरोह पर अफ़सोस न करना।.
Ayah 69
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who هَادُوا۟ became Jews وَٱلصَّٰبِـُٔونَ and the Sabians وَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰ and the Christians, مَنْ whoever ءَامَنَ believed بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَٱلْيَوْمِ and the Day, ٱلْءَاخِرِ the Last وَعَمِلَ and did صَٰلِحًا good deeds, فَلَا then no خَوْفٌ fear عَلَيْهِمْ on them وَلَا and not هُمْ they يَحْزَنُونَ will grieve.
English - Indeed, those who have believed [in Prophet Muhammad] and those [before Him] who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians – those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. .
हिंदी - इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि मुसलमान हो या यहूदी हकीमाना ख्याल के पाबन्द हों ख्वाह नसरानी (गरज़ कुछ भी हो) जो ख़ुदा और रोज़े क़यामत पर ईमान लाएगा और अच्छे (अच्छे) काम करेगा उन पर अलबत्ता न तो कोई ख़ौफ़ होगा न वह लोग आज़ुर्दा ख़ातिर होंगे।.
Ayah 70
لَقَدْ Certainly أَخَذْنَا We took مِيثَٰقَ a Covenant بَنِىٓ (from the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel وَأَرْسَلْنَآ and We sent إِلَيْهِمْ to them رُسُلًا Messengers. كُلَّمَا Whenever جَآءَهُمْ came to them رَسُولٌۢ any Messenger بِمَا with what لَا not تَهْوَىٰٓ desired أَنفُسُهُمْ their souls, فَرِيقًا a group كَذَّبُوا۟ they denied وَفَرِيقًا and a group يَقْتُلُونَ they kill.
English - We had already taken the covenant of the Children of Israel and had sent to them messengers. Whenever there came to them a messenger with what their souls did not desire, a party [of messengers] they denied, and another party they killed. .
हिंदी - हमने बनी इसराईल से एहद व पैमान ले लिया था और उनके पास बहुत रसूल भी भेजे थे (इस पर भी) जब उनके पास कोई रसूल उनकी मर्ज़ी के खि़लाफ़ हुक्म लेकर आया तो इन (कम्बख्त) लोगों ने किसी को झुठला दिया और किसी को क़त्ल ही कर डाला।.
Ayah 71
وَحَسِبُوٓا۟ And they thought أَلَّا that not تَكُونَ will be (for them) فِتْنَةٌ a trial, فَعَمُوا۟ so they became blind وَصَمُّوا۟ and they became deaf. ثُمَّ Then تَابَ turned ٱللَّهُ Allah عَلَيْهِمْ to them, ثُمَّ then (again) عَمُوا۟ they became blind وَصَمُّوا۟ and they became deaf, كَثِيرٌ many مِّنْهُمْ of them. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بَصِيرٌۢ (is) All-Seer بِمَا of what يَعْمَلُونَ they do.
English - And they thought there would be no [resulting] punishment, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allah turned to them in forgiveness; then [again] many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is Seeing of what they do. .
हिंदी - और समझ लिया कि (इसमें हमारे लिए) कोई ख़राबी न होगी पस (गोया) वह लोग (अम्र हक़ से) अंधे और बहरे बन गए (मगर बावजूद इसके) जब इन लोगों ने तौबा की तो फिर ख़ुदा ने उनकी तौबा क़ुबूल कर ली (मगर) फिर (इस पर भी) उनमें से बहुतेरे अंधे और बहरे बन गए और जो कुछ ये लोग कर रहे हैं अल्लाह तो देखता है।.
Ayah 72
لَقَدْ Certainly كَفَرَ disbelieved ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوٓا۟ say, إِنَّ "Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah - هُوَ He ٱلْمَسِيحُ (is) the Messiah, ٱبْنُ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam." وَقَالَ While said ٱلْمَسِيحُ the Messiah, يَٰبَنِىٓ "O Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel! ٱعْبُدُوا۟ Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah, رَبِّى my Lord وَرَبَّكُمْ and your Lord." إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he مَن who يُشْرِكْ associates partners بِٱللَّهِ with Allah, فَقَدْ then surely حَرَّمَ (has) forbidden ٱللَّهُ Allah عَلَيْهِ for him ٱلْجَنَّةَ Paradise وَمَأْوَىٰهُ and his abode ٱلنَّارُ (will be) the Fire. وَمَا And not لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ for the wrongdoers مِنْ any أَنصَارٍ helpers.
English - They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah – Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers. .
हिंदी - जो लोग उसके क़ायल हैं कि मरियम के बेटे ईसा मसीह ख़ुदा हैं वह सब काफ़िर हैं हालॉकि मसीह ने ख़ुद यूं कह दिया था कि ऐ बनी इसराईल सिर्फ उसी ख़ुदा की इबादत करो जो हमारा और तुम्हारा पालने वाला है क्योंकि (याद रखो) जिसने ख़ुदा का शरीक बनाया उस पर ख़ुदा ने बेहिश्त को हराम कर दिया है और उसका ठिकाना जहन्नुम है और ज़ालिमों का कोई मददगार नहीं।.
Ayah 73
لَّقَدْ Certainly كَفَرَ disbelieved ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوٓا۟ say, إِنَّ "Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah ثَالِثُ (is the) third ثَلَٰثَةٍ (of) three." وَمَا And (there is) no مِنْ [of] إِلَٰهٍ god إِلَّآ except إِلَٰهٌ (the) God, وَٰحِدٌ (the) One. وَإِن And if لَّمْ not يَنتَهُوا۟ they desist عَمَّا from what يَقُولُونَ they are saying لَيَمَسَّنَّ surely will afflict ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved مِنْهُمْ among them, عَذَابٌ a punishment أَلِيمٌ painful.
English - They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. .
हिंदी - जो लोग इसके क़ायल हैं कि ख़ुदा तीन में का (तीसरा) है वह यक़ीनन काफ़िर हो गए (याद रखो कि) ख़ुदाए यकता के सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं और (ख़ुदा के बारे में) ये लोग जो कुछ बका करते हैं अगर उससे बाज़ न आए तो (समझ रखो कि) जो लोग उसमें से (काफ़िर के) काफ़िर रह गए उन पर ज़रूर दर्दनाक अज़ाब नाज़िल होगा।.
Ayah 74
أَفَلَا So will not يَتُوبُونَ they turn in repentance إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ and seek His forgiveness? وَٱللَّهُ And Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - So will they not repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - तो ये लोग ख़ुदा की बारगाह में तौबा क्यों नहीं करते और अपने (क़सूरों की) माफ़ी क्यों नहीं मॉगते हालॉकि ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है।.
Ayah 75
مَّا Not ٱلْمَسِيحُ (is) the Messiah, ٱبْنُ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam إِلَّا but رَسُولٌ a Messenger, قَدْ certainly خَلَتْ had passed مِن from قَبْلِهِ before him ٱلرُّسُلُ the Messengers. وَأُمُّهُۥ And his mother صِدِّيقَةٌ (was) truthful. كَانَا They both used to يَأْكُلَانِ eat ٱلطَّعَامَ [the] food. ٱنظُرْ See كَيْفَ how نُبَيِّنُ We make clear لَهُمُ to them ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Signs, ثُمَّ then ٱنظُرْ see أَنَّىٰ how يُؤْفَكُونَ they are deluded.
English - The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded. .
हिंदी - मरियम के बेटे मसीह तो बस एक रसूल हैं और उनके क़ब्ल (और भी) बहुतेरे रसूल गुज़र चुके हैं और उनकी मॉ भी (ख़ुदा की) एक सच्ची बन्दी थी (और आदमियों की तरह) ये दोनों (के दोनों भी) खाना खाते थे (ऐ रसूल) ग़ौर तो करो हम अपने एहकाम इनसे कैसा साफ़ साफ़ बयान करते हैं।.
Ayah 76
قُلْ Say, أَتَعْبُدُونَ "Do you worship مِن from دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah مَا what لَا not يَمْلِكُ has power لَكُمْ to (cause) you ضَرًّا any harm وَلَا and not نَفْعًا any benefit, وَٱللَّهُ while Allah, هُوَ He ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearing, ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knowing?
English - Say, "Do you worship besides Allah that which holds for you no [power of] harm or benefit while it is Allah who is the Hearing, the Knowing?" .
हिंदी - फिर देखो तो कि (उसपर भी उलटे) ये लोग कहॉ भटके जा रहे हैं (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि क्या तुम ख़ुदा (जैसे क़ादिर व तवाना) को छोड़कर (ऐसी ज़लील) चीज़ की इबादत करते हो जिसको न तो नुक़सान ही इख्तेयार है और न नफ़े का और ख़ुदा तो (सबकी) सुनता (और सब कुछ) जानता है।.
Ayah 77
قُلْ Say, يَٰٓأَهْلَ "O People ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book! لَا (Do) not تَغْلُوا۟ exceed فِى in دِينِكُمْ your religion غَيْرَ other than ٱلْحَقِّ the truth, وَلَا and (do) not تَتَّبِعُوٓا۟ follow أَهْوَآءَ (vain) desires قَوْمٍ (of) a people قَدْ certainly ضَلُّوا۟ who went astray مِن from قَبْلُ before, وَأَضَلُّوا۟ and they misled كَثِيرًا many, وَضَلُّوا۟ and they have strayed عَن from سَوَآءِ (the) right ٱلسَّبِيلِ [the] way.
English - Say, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed limits in your religion beyond the truth and do not follow the inclinations of a people who had gone astray before and misled many and have strayed from the soundness of the way." .
हिंदी - ऐ रसूल तुम कह दो कि ऐ अहले किताब तुम अपने दीन में नाहक़ ज्यादती न करो और न उन लोगों (अपने बुज़ुगों) की नफ़सियानी ख्वाहिशों पर चलो जो पहले ख़ुद ही गुमराह हो चुके और (अपने साथ और भी) बहुतेरों को गुमराह कर छोड़ा और राहे रास्त से (दूर) भटक गए।.
Ayah 78
لُعِنَ Were cursed ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved مِنۢ from بَنِىٓ (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel عَلَىٰ by لِسَانِ (the) tongue دَاوُۥدَ (of) Dawood وَعِيسَى and Isa, ٱبْنِ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam, ذَٰلِكَ that (was) بِمَا because عَصَوا۟ they disobeyed وَّكَانُوا۟ and they were يَعْتَدُونَ transgressing.
English - Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed. .
हिंदी - बनी इसराईल में से जो लोग काफ़िर थे उन पर दाऊद और मरियम के बेटे ईसा की ज़बानी लानत की गयी ये (लानत उन पर पड़ी तो सिर्फ) इस वजह से कि (एक तो) उन लोगों ने नाफ़रमानी की और (फिर हर मामले में) हद से बढ़ जाते थे।.
Ayah 79
كَانُوا۟ They had been لَا not يَتَنَاهَوْنَ forbidding each other عَن from مُّنكَرٍ wrongdoing فَعَلُوهُ they did [it]. لَبِئْسَ Surely, evil مَا (was) what كَانُوا۟ they were يَفْعَلُونَ doing.
English - They used not to prevent one another from wrongdoing that they did. How wretched was that which they were doing. .
हिंदी - और किसी बुरे काम से जिसको उन लोगों ने किया बाज़ न आते थे (बल्कि उस पर बावजूद नसीहत अड़े रहते) जो काम ये लोग करते थे क्या ही बुरा था।.
Ayah 80
تَرَىٰ You see كَثِيرًا many مِّنْهُمْ of them يَتَوَلَّوْنَ taking as allies ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved. لَبِئْسَ Surely evil مَا (is) what قَدَّمَتْ sent forth لَهُمْ for them أَنفُسُهُمْ their souls, أَن that سَخِطَ became angry ٱللَّهُ Allah عَلَيْهِمْ with them وَفِى and in ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment هُمْ they خَٰلِدُونَ (will) abide forever.
English - You see many of them becoming allies of those who disbelieved. How wretched is that which they have put forth for themselves in that Allah has become angry with them, and in the punishment they will abide eternally. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) तुम उन (यहूदियों) में से बहुतेरों को देखोगे कि कुफ्फ़ार से दोस्ती रखते हैं जो सामान पहले से उन लोगों ने ख़ुद अपने वास्ते दुरूस्त किया है किस क़दर बुरा है (जिसका नतीजा ये है) कि (दुनिया में भी) ख़ुदा उन पर गज़बनाक हुआ और (आख़ेरत में भी) हमेशा अज़ाब ही में रहेंगे।.
Ayah 81
وَلَوْ And if كَانُوا۟ they had يُؤْمِنُونَ believed بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَٱلنَّبِىِّ and the Prophet وَمَآ and what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْهِ to him, مَا not ٱتَّخَذُوهُمْ they (would have) taken them أَوْلِيَآءَ (as) allies; وَلَٰكِنَّ [and] but كَثِيرًا many مِّنْهُمْ of them فَٰسِقُونَ (are) defiantly disobedient.
English - And if they had believed in Allah and the Prophet and in what was revealed to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are defiantly disobedient. .
हिंदी - और अगर ये लोग ख़ुदा और रसूल पर और जो कुछ उनपर नाज़िल किया गया है ईमान रखते हैं तो हरगिज़ (उनको अपना) दोस्त न बनाते मगर उनमें के बहुतेरे तो बदचलन हैं।.
Ayah 82
لَتَجِدَنَّ Surely you will find أَشَدَّ strongest ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people عَدَٰوَةً (in) enmity لِّلَّذِينَ to those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, ٱلْيَهُودَ the Jews وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who أَشْرَكُوا۟ (are) polytheists; وَلَتَجِدَنَّ and surely you will find أَقْرَبَهُم nearest of them مَّوَدَّةً (in) affection لِّلَّذِينَ to those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوٓا۟ say, إِنَّا "We نَصَٰرَىٰ (are) Christians." ذَٰلِكَ That (is) بِأَنَّ because مِنْهُمْ among them قِسِّيسِينَ (are) priests وَرُهْبَانًا and monks, وَأَنَّهُمْ and that they لَا (are) not يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ arrogant.
English - You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, "We are Christians." That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) ईमान लाने वालों का दुशमन सबसे बढ़के यहूदियों और मुशरिकों को पाओगे और ईमानदारों का दोस्ती में सबसे बढ़के क़रीब उन लोगों को पाओगे जो अपने को नसारा कहते हैं क्योंकि इन (नसारा) में से यक़ीनी बहुत से आमिल और आबिद हैं और इस सबब से (भी) कि ये लोग हरगिज़ शेख़ी नहीं करते।.
Ayah 83
وَإِذَا And when سَمِعُوا۟ they listen مَآ (to) what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَى to ٱلرَّسُولِ the Messenger, تَرَىٰٓ you see أَعْيُنَهُمْ their eyes تَفِيضُ overflowing مِنَ with ٱلدَّمْعِ the tears, مِمَّا for what عَرَفُوا۟ they recognized مِنَ of ٱلْحَقِّ the truth. يَقُولُونَ They say, رَبَّنَآ "Our Lord, ءَامَنَّا we have believed فَٱكْتُبْنَا so write us مَعَ with ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ the witnesses.
English - And when they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they have recognized of the truth. They say, "Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses. .
हिंदी - और तू देखता है कि जब यह लोग (इस कुरान) को सुनते हैं जो हमारे रसूल पर नाज़िल किया गया है तो उनकी ऑंखों से बेसाख्ता (छलक कर) ऑंसू जारी हो जातें है क्योंकि उन्होंने (अम्र) हक़ को पहचान लिया है (और) अर्ज़ करते हैं कि ऐ मेरे पालने वाले हम तो ईमान ला चुके तो (रसूल की) तसदीक़ करने वालों के साथ हमें भी लिख रख।.
Ayah 84
وَمَا And what لَنَا for us (that) لَا not نُؤْمِنُ we believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَمَا and what جَآءَنَا came (to) us مِنَ from ٱلْحَقِّ the truth? وَنَطْمَعُ And we hope أَن that يُدْخِلَنَا will admit us رَبُّنَا our Lord مَعَ with ٱلْقَوْمِ the people, ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous."
English - And why should we not believe in Allah and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us [to Paradise] with the righteous people." .
हिंदी - और हमको क्या हो गया है कि हम ख़ुदा और जो हक़ बात हमारे पास आ चुकी है उस पर तो ईमान न लाएँ और (फिर) ख़ुदा से उम्मीद रखें कि वह अपने नेक बन्दों के साथ हमें (बेहिश्त में) पहुँचा ही देगा।.
Ayah 85
فَأَثَٰبَهُمُ So rewarded them ٱللَّهُ Allah بِمَا for what قَالُوا۟ they said جَنَّٰتٍ (with) Gardens تَجْرِى flows مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath them ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers, خَٰلِدِينَ will abide forever فِيهَا in it. وَذَٰلِكَ And that جَزَآءُ (is the) reward ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ (of) the good-doers.
English - So Allah rewarded them for what they said with gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of doers of good. .
हिंदी - तो ख़ुदा ने उन्हें उनके (सदक़ दिल से) अर्ज़ करने के सिले में उन्हें वह (हरे भरे) बाग़ात अता फरमाए जिनके (दरख्तों के) नीचे नहरें जारी हैं (और) वह उसमें हमेशा रहेंगे और (सदक़ दिल से) नेकी करने वालों का यही ऐवज़ है।.
Ayah 86
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and denied بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Signs, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those أَصْحَٰبُ (are the) companions ٱلْجَحِيمِ (of) the Hellfire.
English - But those who disbelieved and denied Our signs – they are the companions of Hellfire. .
हिंदी - और जिन लोगों ने कुफ्र एख्तेयार किया और हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया यही लोग जहन्नुमी हैं।.
Ayah 87
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Do) not تُحَرِّمُوا۟ make unlawful طَيِّبَٰتِ (the) good things مَآ (of) what أَحَلَّ has (been) made lawful ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah لَكُمْ for you, وَلَا and (do) not تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ transgress. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يُحِبُّ love ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ the transgressors.
English - O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allah has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allah does not like transgressors. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमानदार जो पाक चीज़े ख़ुदा ने तुम्हारे वास्ते हलाल कर दी हैं उनको अपने ऊपर हराम न करो और हद से न बढ़ो क्यों कि ख़ुदा हद से बढ़ जाने वालों को हरगिज़ दोस्त नहीं रखता।.
Ayah 88
وَكُلُوا۟ And eat مِمَّا of what رَزَقَكُمُ has provided you ٱللَّهُ Allah - حَلَٰلًا lawful طَيِّبًا good. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah, ٱلَّذِىٓ the One أَنتُم you (are) بِهِۦ in Him مُؤْمِنُونَ believers.
English - And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers. .
हिंदी - और जो हलाल साफ सुथरी चीज़ें ख़ुदा ने तुम्हें दी हैं उनको (शौक़ से) खाओ और जिस ख़ुदा पर तुम ईमान लाए हो उससे डरते रहो।.
Ayah 89
لَا Not يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ will call you to account ٱللَّهُ Allah بِٱللَّغْوِ for the thoughtless utterances فِىٓ in أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ your oaths وَلَٰكِن but يُؤَاخِذُكُم He will call you to account بِمَا for what عَقَّدتُّمُ you contracted ٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ (of) the oath. فَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓ So its expiation إِطْعَامُ (is) feeding عَشَرَةِ (of) ten مَسَٰكِينَ needy people مِنْ of أَوْسَطِ average مَا (of) what تُطْعِمُونَ you feed أَهْلِيكُمْ your families أَوْ or كِسْوَتُهُمْ clothing them أَوْ or تَحْرِيرُ freeing رَقَبَةٍ a slave. فَمَن But whoever لَّمْ (does) not يَجِدْ find فَصِيَامُ (that), then fasting ثَلَٰثَةِ (for) three أَيَّامٍ days. ذَٰلِكَ That كَفَّٰرَةُ (is the) expiation أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ (of) your oaths إِذَا when حَلَفْتُمْ you have sworn. وَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟ And guard أَيْمَٰنَكُمْ your oaths. كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يُبَيِّنُ makes clear ٱللَّهُ Allah لَكُمْ to you ءَايَٰتِهِۦ His Verses لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَشْكُرُونَ (be) grateful.
English - Allah will not impose blame upon you for what is meaningless in your oaths, but He will impose blame upon you for [breaking] what you intended of oaths. So its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever cannot find [or afford it] – then a fast of three days [is required]. That is the expiation for oaths when you have sworn. But guard your oaths. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be grateful. .
हिंदी - ख़ुदा तुम्हारे बेकार (बेकार) क़समों (के खाने) पर तो ख़ैर गिरफ्तार न करेगा मगर बाक़सद (सच्ची) पक्की क़सम खाने और उसके खि़लाफ करने पर तो ज़रुर तुम्हारी ले दे करेगा (लो सुनो) उसका जुर्माना जैसा तुम ख़ुद अपने एहलोअयाल को खिलाते हो उसी क़िस्म का औसत दर्जे का दस मोहताजों को खाना खिलाना या उनको कपड़े पहनाना या एक गुलाम आज़ाद करना है फिर जिससे यह सब न हो सके तो मैं तीन दिन के रोज़े (रखना) ये (तो) तुम्हारी क़समों का जुर्माना है जब तुम क़सम खाओ (और पूरी न करो) और अपनी क़समों (के पूरा न करने) का ख्याल रखो ख़ुदा अपने एहकाम को तुम्हारे वास्ते यूँ साफ़ साफ़ बयान करता है ताकि तुम शुक्र करो।.
Ayah 90
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believe! إِنَّمَا Verily ٱلْخَمْرُ the intoxicants وَٱلْمَيْسِرُ and [the] games of chance وَٱلْأَنصَابُ and (sacrifices at) altars وَٱلْأَزْلَٰمُ and divining arrows رِجْسٌ (are an) abomination مِّنْ from عَمَلِ (the) work ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ (of) the Shaitaan, فَٱجْتَنِبُوهُ so avoid it لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُفْلِحُونَ (be) successful.
English - O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमानदारों शराब, जुआ और बुत और पाँसे तो बस नापाक (बुरे) शैतानी काम हैं तो तुम लोग इससे बचे रहो ताकि तुम फलाह पाओ।.
Ayah 91
إِنَّمَا Only يُرِيدُ intends ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ the Shaitaan أَن to يُوقِعَ cause بَيْنَكُمُ between you ٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ [the] enmity وَٱلْبَغْضَآءَ and [the] hatred فِى through ٱلْخَمْرِ intoxicants وَٱلْمَيْسِرِ and gambling, وَيَصُدَّكُمْ and hinders you عَن from ذِكْرِ (the) remembrance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَعَنِ and from ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ the prayer. فَهَلْ So will أَنتُم you مُّنتَهُونَ (be) the ones who abstain?
English - Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist? .
हिंदी - शैतान की तो बस यही तमन्ना है कि शराब और जुए की बदौलत तुममें बाहम अदावत व दुशमनी डलवा दे और ख़ुदा की याद और नमाज़ से बाज़ रखे तो क्या तुम उससे बाज़ आने वाले हो।.
Ayah 92
وَأَطِيعُوا۟ And obey ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُوا۟ and obey ٱلرَّسُولَ the Messenger وَٱحْذَرُوا۟ and beware. فَإِن And if تَوَلَّيْتُمْ you turn away, فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ then know أَنَّمَا only عَلَىٰ upon رَسُولِنَا Our Messenger ٱلْبَلَٰغُ (is to) convey (the Message) ٱلْمُبِينُ clearly.
English - And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware. And if you turn away – then know that upon Our Messenger is only [the responsibility for] clear notification. .
हिंदी - और ख़ुदा का हुक्म मानों और रसूल का हुक्म मानों और (नाफ़रमानी) से बचे रहो इस पर भी अगर तुमने (हुक्म ख़ुदा से) मुँह फेरा तो समझ रखो कि हमारे रसूल पर बस साफ़ साफ़ पैग़ाम पहुँचा देना फर्ज है।.
Ayah 93
لَيْسَ Not عَلَى on ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ the good deeds جُنَاحٌ any sin فِيمَا for what طَعِمُوٓا۟ they ate إِذَا when مَا that ٱتَّقَوا۟ they fear (Allah) وَّءَامَنُوا۟ and they believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and they do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ [the] good deeds ثُمَّ then ٱتَّقَوا۟ they fear (Allah) وَّءَامَنُوا۟ and believe, ثُمَّ then ٱتَّقَوا۟ they fear (Allah) وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟ and do good, وَٱللَّهُ and Allah يُحِبُّ loves ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers.
English - There is not upon those who believe and do righteousness [any] blame concerning what they have eaten [in the past] if they [now] fear Allah and believe and do righteous deeds, and then fear Allah and believe, and then fear Allah and do good; and Allah loves the doers of good. .
हिंदी - (फिर करो चाहे न करो तुम मुख़तार हो) जिन लोगों ने ईमान कुबूल किया और अच्छे (अच्छे) काम किए हैं उन पर जो कुछ खा (पी) चुके उसमें कुछ गुनाह नहीं जब उन्होंने परहेज़गारी की और ईमान ले आए और अच्छे (अच्छे) काम किए फिर परहेज़गारी की और नेकियाँ कीं और ख़ुदा नेकी करने वालों को दोस्त रखता है।.
Ayah 94
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ Surely will test you ٱللَّهُ Allah بِشَىْءٍ through something مِّنَ of ٱلصَّيْدِ the game - تَنَالُهُۥٓ can reach it أَيْدِيكُمْ your hands وَرِمَاحُكُمْ and your spears لِيَعْلَمَ that may make evident ٱللَّهُ Allah مَن who يَخَافُهُۥ fears Him بِٱلْغَيْبِ in the unseen. فَمَنِ And whoever ٱعْتَدَىٰ transgressed بَعْدَ after ذَٰلِكَ that, فَلَهُۥ then for him عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment أَلِيمٌ painful.
English - O you who have believed, Allah will surely test you through something of the game that your hands and spears [can] reach, that Allah may make evident those who fear Him unseen. And whoever transgresses after that – for him is a painful punishment. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमानदारों कुछ शिकार से जिन तक तुम्हारे हाथ और नैज़ें पहुँच सकते हैं ख़ुदा ज़रुर इम्तेहान करेगा ताकि ख़ुदा देख ले कि उससे बे देखे भाले कौन डरता है फिर उसके बाद भी जो ज्यादती करेगा तो उसके लिए दर्दनाक अज़ाब है।.
Ayah 95
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Do) not تَقْتُلُوا۟ kill ٱلصَّيْدَ the game وَأَنتُمْ while you حُرُمٌ (are in) Ihram. وَمَن And whoever قَتَلَهُۥ killed it مِنكُم among you مُّتَعَمِّدًا intentionally, فَجَزَآءٌ then penalty مِّثْلُ (is) similar مَا (to) what قَتَلَ he killed مِنَ of ٱلنَّعَمِ the cattle, يَحْكُمُ judging بِهِۦ it ذَوَا two men, عَدْلٍ just, مِّنكُمْ among you هَدْيًۢا (as) an offering بَٰلِغَ reaching ٱلْكَعْبَةِ the Kabah أَوْ or كَفَّٰرَةٌ an expiation - طَعَامُ feeding مَسَٰكِينَ needy people أَوْ or عَدْلُ equivalent ذَٰلِكَ (of) that صِيَامًا (in) fasting, لِّيَذُوقَ that he may taste وَبَالَ (the) consequence أَمْرِهِۦ (of) his deed. عَفَا Pardoned ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah عَمَّا what سَلَفَ (has) passed, وَمَنْ but whoever عَادَ returned, فَيَنتَقِمُ then will take retribution ٱللَّهُ Allah مِنْهُ from him. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَزِيزٌ (is) All-Mighty, ذُو Owner ٱنتِقَامٍ (of) Retribution.
English - O you who have believed, do not kill game while you are in the state of ihram. And whoever of you kills it intentionally – the penalty is an equivalent from sacrificial animals to what he killed, as judged by two just men among you as an offering [to Allah] delivered to the Ka‘bah, or an expiation: the feeding of needy people or the equivalent of that in fasting, that he may taste the consequence of his deed. Allah has pardoned what is past; but whoever returns [to violation], then Allah will take retribution from him. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Owner of Retribution. .
हिंदी - (ऐ ईमानदारों जब तुम हालते एहराम में हो तो शिकार न मारो और तुममें से जो कोई जान बूझ कर शिकार मारेगा तो जिस (जानवर) को मारा है चौपायों में से उसका मसल तुममें से जो दो मुन्सिफ आदमी तजवीज़ कर दें उसका बदला (देना) होगा (और) काबा तक पहुँचा कर कुर्बानी की जाए या (उसका) जुर्माना (उसकी क़ीमत से) मोहताजों को खाना खिलाना या उसके बराबर रोज़े रखना (यह जुर्माना इसलिए है) ताकि अपने किए की सज़ा का मज़ा चखो जो हो चुका उससे तो ख़ुदा ने दरग़ुज़र की और जो फिर ऐसी हरकत करेगा तो ख़ुदा उसकी सज़ा देगा और ख़ुदा ज़बरदस्त बदला लेने वाला है।.
Ayah 96
أُحِلَّ Is made lawful لَكُمْ for you صَيْدُ game ٱلْبَحْرِ (of) the sea وَطَعَامُهُۥ and its food مَتَٰعًا (as) provision لَّكُمْ for you وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ and for the travelers, وَحُرِّمَ and is made unlawful عَلَيْكُمْ on you صَيْدُ game ٱلْبَرِّ (of) the land مَا as دُمْتُمْ long as you حُرُمًا (are in) Ihram, وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And be conscious ٱللَّهَ (of) Allah ٱلَّذِىٓ the One إِلَيْهِ to Him تُحْشَرُونَ you will be gathered.
English - Lawful to you is game from the sea and its food as provision for you and the travelers, but forbidden to you is game from the land as long as you are in the state of ihram. And fear Allah to whom you will be gathered. .
हिंदी - तुम्हारे और काफ़िले के वास्ते दरियाई शिकार और उसका खाना तो (हर हालत में) तुम्हारे वास्ते जायज़ कर दिया है मगर खुश्की का शिकार जब तक तुम हालते एहराम में रहो तुम पर हराम है और उस ख़ुदा से डरते रहो जिसकी तरफ (मरने के बाद) उठाए जाओगे।.
Ayah 97
جَعَلَ Has (been) made ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah ٱلْكَعْبَةَ the Kabah, ٱلْبَيْتَ the House, ٱلْحَرَامَ the Sacred, قِيَٰمًا an establishment لِّلنَّاسِ for mankind وَٱلشَّهْرَ and the month(s) ٱلْحَرَامَ [the] sacred وَٱلْهَدْىَ and the (animals) for offering وَٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ and the garlands. ذَٰلِكَ That (is) لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ so that you may know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah يَعْلَمُ knows مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَمَا and what فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth, وَأَنَّ and that ٱللَّهَ Allah بِكُلِّ of every شَىْءٍ thing عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knowing.
English - Allah has made the Ka‘bah, the Sacred House, standing for the people and [has sanctified] the sacred months and the sacrificial animals and the garlands [by which they are identified]. That is so you may know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and that Allah is Knowing of all things. .
हिंदी - ख़ुदा ने काबा को जो (उसका) मोहतरम घर है और हुरमत दार महीनों को और कुरबानी को और उस जानवर को जिसके गले में (क़ुरबानी के वास्ते) पट्टे डाल दिए गए हों लोगों के अमन क़ायम रखने का सबब क़रार दिया यह इसलिए कि तुम जान लो कि ख़ुदा जो कुछ आसमानों में है और जो कुछ ज़मीन में है यक़ीनन (सब) जानता है और ये भी (समझ लो) कि बेशक ख़ुदा हर चीज़ से वाक़िफ है।.
Ayah 98
ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ Know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah شَدِيدُ (is) severe ٱلْعِقَابِ (in) punishment وَأَنَّ and that ٱللَّهَ Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - Know that Allah is severe in penalty and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - जान लो कि यक़ीनन ख़ुदा बड़ा अज़ाब वाला है और ये (भी) कि बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है।.
Ayah 99
مَّا Not عَلَى on ٱلرَّسُولِ the Messenger إِلَّا except ٱلْبَلَٰغُ the conveyance. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah يَعْلَمُ knows مَا what تُبْدُونَ you reveal وَمَا and what تَكْتُمُونَ you conceal.
English - Not upon the Messenger is [responsibility] except [for] notification. And Allah knows whatever you reveal and whatever you conceal. .
हिंदी - (हमारे) रसूल पर पैग़ाम पहुँचा देने के सिवा (और) कुछ (फर्ज़) नहीं और जो कुछ तुम ज़ाहिर बा ज़ाहिर करते हो और जो कुछ तुम छुपा कर करते हो ख़ुदा सब जानता है।.
Ayah 100
قُل Say, لَّا "Not يَسْتَوِى (are) equal ٱلْخَبِيثُ the evil وَٱلطَّيِّبُ and the good وَلَوْ even if أَعْجَبَكَ impresses you كَثْرَةُ abundance ٱلْخَبِيثِ (of) the evil. فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah, يَٰٓأُو۟لِى O men ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ (of) understanding, لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُفْلِحُونَ (be) successful."
English - Say, "Not equal are the evil and the good, although the abundance of evil might impress you." So fear Allah, O you of understanding, that you may be successful. .
हिंदी - (ऐ रसूल) कह दो कि नापाक (हराम) और पाक (हलाल) बराबर नहीं हो सकता अगरचे नापाक की कसरत तुम्हें भला क्यों न मालूम हो तो ऐसे अक्लमन्दों अल्लाह से डरते रहो ताकि तुम कामयाब रहो।.
Ayah 101
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Do) not تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ ask عَنْ about أَشْيَآءَ things إِن if تُبْدَ made clear لَكُمْ to you, تَسُؤْكُمْ it may distress you وَإِن and if تَسْـَٔلُوا۟ you ask عَنْهَا about it حِينَ when يُنَزَّلُ is being revealed ٱلْقُرْءَانُ the Quran تُبْدَ it would be made clear لَكُمْ to you. عَفَا has (been) pardoned ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah عَنْهَا [about] it, وَٱللَّهُ and Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, حَلِيمٌ All-Forbearing.
English - O you who have believed, do not ask about things which, if they are shown to you, will distress you. But if you ask about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be shown to you. Allah has pardoned that which is past; and Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमान वालों ऐसी चीज़ों के बारे में (रसूल से) न पूछा करो कि अगर तुमको मालूम हो जाए तो तुम्हें बुरी मालूम हो और अगर उनके बारे में कुरान नाज़िल होने के वक्त पूछ बैठोगे तो तुम पर ज़ाहिर कर दी जाएगी (मगर तुमको बुरा लगेगा जो सवालात तुम कर चुके) ख़ुदा ने उनसे दरगुज़र की और ख़ुदा बड़ा बख्शने वाला बुर्दबार है।.
Ayah 102
قَدْ Indeed, سَأَلَهَا asked them قَوْمٌ a people مِّن from قَبْلِكُمْ before you, ثُمَّ then أَصْبَحُوا۟ they became بِهَا thereby كَٰفِرِينَ disbelievers.
English - A people asked such [questions] before you; then they became thereby disbelievers. .
हिंदी - तुमसे पहले भी लोगों ने इस किस्म की बातें (अपने वक्त क़े पैग़म्बरों से) पूछी थीं।.
Ayah 103
مَا Not جَعَلَ has (been) made ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah مِنۢ of بَحِيرَةٍ a Bahirah وَلَا and not سَآئِبَةٍ a Saibah وَلَا and not وَصِيلَةٍ a Wasilah وَلَا and not حَامٍ a Hami. وَلَٰكِنَّ [And] but ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved يَفْتَرُونَ they invent عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱلْكَذِبَ the lie, وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ and most of them لَا (do) not يَعْقِلُونَ use reason.
English - Allah has not appointed [such innovations as] bahīrah or sa’ibah or wasīlah or ham. But those who disbelieve invent falsehood about Allah, and most of them do not reason. .
हिंदी - फिर (जब बरदाश्त न हो सका तो) उसके मुन्किर हो गए ख़ुदा ने न तो कोई बहीरा (कान फटी ऊँटनी) मुक़र्रर किया है न सायवा (साँढ़) न वसीला (जुडवा बच्चे) न हाम (बुढ़ा साँढ़) मुक़र्रर किया है मगर कुफ्फ़ार ख़ुदा पर ख्वाह मा ख्वाह झूठ (मूठ) बोहतान बाँधते हैं और उनमें के अक्सर नहीं समझते।.
Ayah 104
وَإِذَا And when قِيلَ it is said لَهُمْ to them, تَعَالَوْا۟ "Come إِلَىٰ to مَآ what أَنزَلَ has (been) revealed ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah وَإِلَى and to ٱلرَّسُولِ the Messenger," قَالُوا۟ they said, حَسْبُنَا "Sufficient for us مَا (is) what وَجَدْنَا we found عَلَيْهِ upon it ءَابَآءَنَآ our forefathers." أَوَلَوْ Even though كَانَ (that) ءَابَآؤُهُمْ their forefathers لَا (were) not يَعْلَمُونَ knowing شَيْـًٔا anything وَلَا and not يَهْتَدُونَ they (were) guided?
English - And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allah has revealed and to the Messenger," they say, "Sufficient for us is that upon which we found our fathers." Even though their fathers knew nothing, nor were they guided? .
हिंदी - और जब उनसे कहा जाता है कि जो (क़ुरान) ख़ुदा ने नाज़िल फरमाया है उसकी तरफ और रसूल की आओ (और जो कुछ कहे उसे मानों तो कहते हैं कि हमने जिस (रंग) में अपने बाप दादा को पाया वही हमारे लिए काफी है क्या (ये लोग लकीर के फकीर ही रहेंगे) अगरचे उनके बाप दादा न कुछ जानते ही हों न हिदायत ही पायी हो।.
Ayah 105
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! عَلَيْكُمْ Upon you أَنفُسَكُمْ (is to guard) yourselves. لَا Not يَضُرُّكُم will harm you مَّن (those) who ضَلَّ (have gone) astray إِذَا when ٱهْتَدَيْتُمْ you have been guided. إِلَى To ٱللَّهِ Allah مَرْجِعُكُمْ (is) your return - جَمِيعًا all; فَيُنَبِّئُكُم then He will inform you بِمَا of what كُنتُمْ you used to تَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - O you who have believed, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided. To Allah is you return all together; then He will inform you of what you used to do. .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमान वालों तुम अपनी ख़बर लो जब तुम राहे रास्त पर हो तो कोई गुमराह हुआ करे तुम्हें नुक़सान नहीं पहुँचा सकता तुम सबके सबको ख़ुदा ही की तरफ लौट कर जाना है तब (उस वक्त नेक व बद) जो कुछ (दुनिया में) करते थे तुम्हें बता देगा।.
Ayah 106
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! شَهَٰدَةُ (Take) testimony بَيْنِكُمْ among you إِذَا when حَضَرَ approaches أَحَدَكُمُ one of you ٱلْمَوْتُ [the] death, حِينَ (at the) time (of making) ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ [the] a will ٱثْنَانِ two ذَوَا men, عَدْلٍ just, مِّنكُمْ among you, أَوْ or ءَاخَرَانِ two others مِنْ from غَيْرِكُمْ other than you إِنْ if أَنتُمْ you ضَرَبْتُمْ (are) travel(ing) فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَأَصَٰبَتْكُم then befalls you مُّصِيبَةُ calamity ٱلْمَوْتِ (of) [the] death. تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا Detain both of them مِنۢ from بَعْدِ after ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ the prayer فَيُقْسِمَانِ and let them both swear بِٱللَّهِ by Allah إِنِ if ٱرْتَبْتُمْ you doubt, لَا "Not نَشْتَرِى we will exchange بِهِۦ it for ثَمَنًا a price وَلَوْ even if كَانَ he is ذَا (of) قُرْبَىٰ a near relative, وَلَا and not نَكْتُمُ we will conceal شَهَٰدَةَ testimony ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. إِنَّآ Indeed, we إِذًا then لَّمِنَ (will) surely (be) of ٱلْءَاثِمِينَ the sinners."
English - O you who have believed, testimony [should be taken] among you when death approaches one of you at the time of bequest – [that of] two just men from among you or two others from outside if you are traveling through the land and the disaster of death should strike you. Detain them after the prayer and let them both swear by Allah if you doubt [their testimony, saying], "We will not exchange our oath for a price, even if he should be a near relative, and we will not withhold the testimony of Allah. Indeed, we would then be of the sinful." .
हिंदी - ऐ ईमान वालों जब तुममें से किसी (के सर) पर मौत खड़ी हो तो वसीयत के वक्त तुम (मोमिन) में से दो आदिलों की गवाही होनी ज़रुरी है और जब तुम इत्तेफाक़न कहीं का सफर करो और (सफर ही में) तुमको मौत की मुसीबत का सामना हो तो (भी) दो गवाह ग़ैर (मोमिन) सही (और) अगर तुम्हें शक़ हो तो उन दोनों को नमाज़ के बाद रोक लो फिर वह दोनों ख़ुदा की क़सम खाएँ कि हम इस (गवाही) के (ऐवज़ कुछ दाम नहीं लेंगे अगरचे हम जिसकी गवाही देते हैं हमारा अज़ीज़ ही क्यों न) हो और हम खुदा लगती गवाही न छुपाएँगे अगर ऐसा करें तो हम बेशक गुनाहगार हैं।.
Ayah 107
فَإِنْ Then if عُثِرَ it is discovered عَلَىٰٓ (on) أَنَّهُمَا that the two ٱسْتَحَقَّآ (were) guilty إِثْمًا (of) sin, فَـَٔاخَرَانِ then (let) two others يَقُومَانِ stand مَقَامَهُمَا (in) their place مِنَ from ٱلَّذِينَ those who ٱسْتَحَقَّ have a lawful right عَلَيْهِمُ over them - ٱلْأَوْلَيَٰنِ the former two - فَيُقْسِمَانِ and let them both swear بِٱللَّهِ by Allah لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ "Surely our testimony أَحَقُّ (is) truer مِن than شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا testimony of the other two وَمَا and not ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ we have transgressed. إِنَّآ Indeed, we إِذًا then لَّمِنَ (will be) of ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers."
English - But if it is found that those two were guilty of perjury, let two others stand in their place [who are] foremost [in claim] from those who have a lawful right. And let them swear by Allah, "Our testimony is truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed. Indeed, we would then be of the wrongdoers." .
हिंदी - अगर इस पर मालूम हो जाए कि वह दोनों (दरोग़ हलफ़ी (झूठी कसम) से) गुनाह के मुस्तहक़ हो गए तो दूसरे दो आदमी उन लोगों में से जिनका हक़ दबाया गया है और (मय्यत) के ज्यादा क़राबतदार हैं (उनकी तरवीद में) उनकी जगह खड़े हो जाएँ फिर दो नए गवाह ख़ुदा की क़सम खाएँ कि पहले दो गवाहों की निस्बत हमारी गवाही ज्यादा सच्ची है और हमने (हक़) नहीं छुपाया और अगर ऐसा किया हो तो उस वक्त बेशक हम ज़ालिम हैं।.
Ayah 108
ذَٰلِكَ That أَدْنَىٰٓ (is) closer أَن that يَأْتُوا۟ they will give بِٱلشَّهَٰدَةِ the testimony عَلَىٰ in وَجْهِهَآ its (true) form أَوْ or يَخَافُوٓا۟ they would fear أَن that تُرَدَّ will be refuted أَيْمَٰنٌۢ their oaths بَعْدَ after أَيْمَٰنِهِمْ their (others) oaths. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَٱسْمَعُوا۟ and listen; وَٱللَّهُ and Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide ٱلْقَوْمَ the people. ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ the defiantly disobedient.
English - That is more likely that they will give testimony according to its [true] objective, or [at least] they would fear that [other] oaths might be taken after their oaths. And fear Allah and listen; and Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people. .
हिंदी - ये ज्यादा क़रीन क़यास है कि इस तरह पर (आख़ेरत के डर से) ठीक ठीक गवाही दें या (दुनिया की रूसवाई का) अन्देशा हो कि कहीं हमारी क़समें दूसरे फरीक़ की क़समों के बाद रद न कर दी जाएँ मुसलमानों ख़ुदा से डरो और (जी लगा कर) सुन लो और ख़ुदा बदचलन लोगों को मंज़िले मक़सूद तक नहीं पहुँचाता।.
Ayah 109
يَوْمَ (The) day يَجْمَعُ will (be) gathered ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah ٱلرُّسُلَ the Messengers فَيَقُولُ and He will say, مَاذَآ "What أُجِبْتُمْ was (the) response you received?" قَالُوا۟ They said, لَا "(There is) no عِلْمَ knowledge لَنَآ for us. إِنَّكَ Indeed You, أَنتَ You عَلَّٰمُ (are the) Knower ٱلْغُيُوبِ (of) the unseen."
English - [Be warned of] the Day when Allah will assemble the messengers and say, "What was the response you received?" They will say, “We have no knowledge. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen" .
हिंदी - (उस वक्त क़ो याद करो) जिस दिन ख़ुदा अपने पैग़म्बरों को जमा करके पूछेगा कि (तुम्हारी उममत की तरफ से तबलीग़े एहकाम का) क्या जवाब दिया गया तो अर्ज क़रेगें कि हम तो (चन्द ज़ाहिरी बातों के सिवा) कुछ नहीं जानते तू तो खुद बड़ा ग़ैब वॉ है।.
Ayah 110
إِذْ When قَالَ said ٱللَّهُ Allah, يَٰعِيسَى "O Isa, ٱبْنَ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam! ٱذْكُرْ Remember نِعْمَتِى My Favor عَلَيْكَ upon you وَعَلَىٰ and upon وَٰلِدَتِكَ your mother إِذْ when أَيَّدتُّكَ I strengthened you بِرُوحِ with (the) Spirit, ٱلْقُدُسِ the Holy, تُكَلِّمُ you spoke ٱلنَّاسَ (to) the people فِى in ٱلْمَهْدِ the cradle وَكَهْلًا and (in) maturity. وَإِذْ And when عَلَّمْتُكَ I taught you ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ and the wisdom وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ and the Taurat وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ and the Injeel; وَإِذْ and when تَخْلُقُ you make مِنَ from ٱلطِّينِ the clay كَهَيْـَٔةِ like the shape ٱلطَّيْرِ (of) the bird بِإِذْنِى by My permission فَتَنفُخُ then you breath فِيهَا into it فَتَكُونُ and it becomes طَيْرًۢا a bird بِإِذْنِى by My permission, وَتُبْرِئُ and you heal ٱلْأَكْمَهَ the born blind وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ and the leper بِإِذْنِى by My permission, وَإِذْ and when تُخْرِجُ you bring forth ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ the dead بِإِذْنِى by My permission. وَإِذْ And when كَفَفْتُ I restrained بَنِىٓ (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel عَنكَ from you إِذْ when جِئْتَهُم you came to them بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ with the clear proofs فَقَالَ then said ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved مِنْهُمْ among them إِنْ "Not هَٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّا but سِحْرٌ magic, مُّبِينٌ clear."
English - [The Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but obvious magic." .
हिंदी - (वह वक्त याद करो) जब ख़ुदा फरमाएगा कि ये मरियम के बेटे ईसा हमने जो एहसानात तुम पर और तुम्हारी माँ पर किये उन्हे याद करो जब हमने रूहुलक़ुदूस (जिबरील) से तुम्हारी ताईद की कि तुम झूले में (पड़े पड़े) और अधेड़ होकर (शक़ सा बातें) करने लगे और जब हमने तुम्हें लिखना और अक़ल व दानाई की बातें और (तौरेत व इन्जील (ये सब चीजे) सिखायी और जब तुम मेरे हुक्म से मिट्टी से चिड़िया की मूरत बनाते फिर उस पर कुछ दम कर देते तो वह मेरे हुक्म से (सचमुच) चिड़िया बन जाती थी और मेरे हुक्म से मादरज़ाद (पैदायशी) अंधे और कोढ़ी को अच्छा कर देते थे और जब तुम मेरे हुक्म से मुर्दों को ज़िन्दा (करके क़ब्रों से) निकाल खड़ा करते थे और जिस वक्त तुम बनी इसराईल के पास मौजिज़े लेकर आए और उस वक्त मैने उनको तुम (पर दस्त दराज़ी करने) से रोका तो उनमें से बाज़ कुफ्फ़ार कहने लगे ये तो बस खुला हुआ जादू है।.
Ayah 111
وَإِذْ And when أَوْحَيْتُ I inspired إِلَى to ٱلْحَوَارِيِّۦنَ the disciples أَنْ to ءَامِنُوا۟ believe بِى in Me وَبِرَسُولِى and in My Messenger قَالُوٓا۟ they said, ءَامَنَّا "We believe وَٱشْهَدْ and bear witness بِأَنَّنَا that indeed we مُسْلِمُونَ (are) Muslims.
English - And [remember] when I inspired to the disciples, "Believe in Me and in My messenger Jesus." They said, "We have believed, so bear witness that indeed we are Muslims [in submission to Allah]." .
हिंदी - और जब मैने हवारियों से इलहाम किया कि मुझ पर और मेरे रसूल पर ईमान लाओ तो अर्ज़ करने लगे हम ईमान लाए और तू गवाह रहना कि हम तेरे फरमाबरदार बन्दे हैं।.
Ayah 112
إِذْ When قَالَ said ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَ the disciples, يَٰعِيسَى "O Isa, ٱبْنَ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam! هَلْ Is يَسْتَطِيعُ able رَبُّكَ your Lord أَن to يُنَزِّلَ send down عَلَيْنَا to us مَآئِدَةً a table spread مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven?" قَالَ He said, ٱتَّقُوا۟ "Fear ٱللَّهَ Allah, إِن if كُنتُم you are مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers."
English - [And remember] when the disciples said, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven? [Jesus] said," Fear Allah, if you should be believers." .
हिंदी - (वह वक्त याद करो) जब हवारियों ने ईसा से अर्ज़ की कि ऐ मरियम के बेटे ईसा क्या आप का ख़ुदा उस पर क़ादिर है कि हम पर आसमान से (नेअमत की) एक ख्वान नाज़िल फरमाए ईसा ने कहा अगर तुम सच्चे ईमानदार हो तो ख़ुदा से डरो (ऐसी फरमाइश जिसमें इम्तेहान मालूम हो न करो)।.
Ayah 113
قَالُوا۟ They said, نُرِيدُ "We wish أَن that نَّأْكُلَ we eat مِنْهَا from it وَتَطْمَئِنَّ and satisfy قُلُوبُنَا our hearts وَنَعْلَمَ and we know أَن that قَدْ certainly صَدَقْتَنَا you have spoken the truth to us وَنَكُونَ and we be عَلَيْهَا over it مِنَ among ٱلشَّٰهِدِينَ the witnesses.
English - They said, "We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and know that you have been truthful to us and be among its witnesses." .
हिंदी - वह अर्ज़ करने लगे हम तो फक़त ये चाहते है कि इसमें से (बरतकन) कुछ खाएँ और हमारे दिल को (आपकी रिसालत का पूरा पूरा) इत्मेनान हो जाए और यक़ीन कर लें कि आपने हमसे (जो कुछ कहा था) सच फरमाया था और हम लोग इस पर गवाह रहें।.
Ayah 114
قَالَ Said عِيسَى Isa, ٱبْنُ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam, ٱللَّهُمَّ "O Allah, رَبَّنَآ our Lord, أَنزِلْ send down عَلَيْنَا to us مَآئِدَةً a table spread مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven تَكُونُ to be لَنَا for us عِيدًا a festival لِّأَوَّلِنَا for first of us وَءَاخِرِنَا and last of us وَءَايَةً and a sign مِّنكَ from You. وَٱرْزُقْنَا And provide us, وَأَنتَ and You خَيْرُ (are) best ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ (of) the providers.
English - Said Jesus, the son of Mary, "O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, and You are the best of providers." .
हिंदी - (तब) मरियम के बेटे ईसा ने (बारगाहे ख़ुदा में) अर्ज़ की ख़ुदा वन्दा ऐ हमारे पालने वाले हम पर आसमान से एक ख्वान (नेअमत) नाज़िल फरमा कि वह दिन हम लोगों के लिए हमारे अगलों के लिए और हमारे पिछलों के लिए ईद का करार पाए (और हमारे हक़ में) तेरी तरफ से एक बड़ी निशानी हो और तू हमें रोज़ी दे और तू सब रोज़ी देने वालो से बेहतर है।.
Ayah 115
قَالَ Said ٱللَّهُ Allah, إِنِّى "Indeed I مُنَزِّلُهَا (will) send it down عَلَيْكُمْ to you, فَمَن then whoever يَكْفُرْ disbelieves بَعْدُ after (that) مِنكُمْ among you, فَإِنِّىٓ then indeed I أُعَذِّبُهُۥ [I] will punish him عَذَابًا (with) a punishment لَّآ not أُعَذِّبُهُۥٓ I have punished أَحَدًا anyone مِّنَ among ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ the worlds."
English - Allah said, "Indeed, I will sent it down to you, but whoever disbelieves afterwards from among you – then indeed will I punish him with a punishment by which I have not punished anyone among the worlds." .
हिंदी - खुदा ने फरमाया मै ख्वान तो तुम पर ज़रुर नाज़िल करुगाँ (मगर याद रहे कि) फिर तुममें से जो भी शख़्श उसके बाद काफ़िर हुआ तो मै उसको यक़ीन ऐसे सख्त अज़ाब की सज़ा दूँगा कि सारी ख़ुदायी में किसी एक पर भी वैसा (सख्त) अज़ाब न करुँगा।.
Ayah 116
وَإِذْ And when قَالَ said ٱللَّهُ Allah, يَٰعِيسَى "O Isa, ٱبْنَ son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam! ءَأَنتَ Did you قُلْتَ say لِلنَّاسِ to the people, ٱتَّخِذُونِى "Take me وَأُمِّىَ and my mother إِلَٰهَيْنِ (as) two gods مِن from دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah?" قَالَ He said, سُبْحَٰنَكَ "Glory be to You! مَا Not يَكُونُ was لِىٓ for me أَنْ that أَقُولَ I say مَا what لَيْسَ not لِى I بِحَقٍّ (had) right. إِن If كُنتُ I had قُلْتُهُۥ said it, فَقَدْ then surely عَلِمْتَهُۥ You would have known it. تَعْلَمُ You know مَا what فِى (is) in نَفْسِى myself, وَلَآ and not أَعْلَمُ I know مَا what فِى (is) in نَفْسِكَ Yourself. إِنَّكَ Indeed, You, أَنتَ You عَلَّٰمُ (are) All-Knower ٱلْغُيُوبِ (of) the unseen.
English - And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, 'Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?'" He will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen. .
हिंदी - और (वह वक्त भी याद करो) जब क़यामत में ईसा से ख़ुदा फरमाएग कि (क्यों) ऐ मरियम के बेटे ईसा क्या तुमने लोगों से ये कह दिया था कि ख़ुदा को छोड़कर मुझ को और मेरी माँ को ख़ुदा बना लो ईसा अर्ज़ करेगें सुबहान अल्लाह मेरी तो ये मजाल न थी कि मै ऐसी बात मुँह से निकालूं जिसका मुझे कोई हक़ न हो (अच्छा) अगर मैने कहा होगा तो तुझको ज़रुर मालूम ही होगा क्योंकि तू मेरे दिल की (सब बात) जानता है हाँ अलबत्ता मै तेरे जी की बात नहीं जानता (क्योंकि) इसमें तो शक़ ही नहीं कि तू ही ग़ैब की बातें ख़ूब जानता है।.
Ayah 117
مَا Not قُلْتُ I said لَهُمْ to them إِلَّا except مَآ what أَمَرْتَنِى You commanded me بِهِۦٓ [with it] أَنِ that ٱعْبُدُوا۟ "You worship ٱللَّهَ Allah, رَبِّى my Lord وَرَبَّكُمْ and your Lord." وَكُنتُ And I was عَلَيْهِمْ over them شَهِيدًا a witness مَّا that دُمْتُ as long as I فِيهِمْ (was) among them, فَلَمَّا then when تَوَفَّيْتَنِى You raised me كُنتَ You were أَنتَ [You] ٱلرَّقِيبَ the Watcher عَلَيْهِمْ over them, وَأَنتَ and You عَلَىٰ (are) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing شَهِيدٌ a Witness.
English - I said not to them except what You commanded me – to worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness. .
हिंदी - तूने मुझे जो कुछ हुक्म दिया उसके सिवा तो मैने उनसे कुछ भी नहीं कहा यही कि ख़ुदा ही की इबादत करो जो मेरा और तुम्हारा सबका पालने वाला है और जब तक मैं उनमें रहा उन की देखभाल करता रहा फिर जब तूने मुझे (दुनिया से) उठा लिया तो तू ही उनका निगेहबान था और तू तो ख़ुद हर चीज़ का गवाह (मौजूद) है।.
Ayah 118
إِن If تُعَذِّبْهُمْ You punish them, فَإِنَّهُمْ then indeed they عِبَادُكَ (are) Your slaves, وَإِن and if تَغْفِرْ You forgive لَهُمْ [for] them فَإِنَّكَ then indeed You, أَنتَ You ٱلْعَزِيزُ (are) the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise."
English - If You should punish them – indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them – indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. .
हिंदी - तू अगर उन पर अज़ाब करेगा तो (तू मालिक है) ये तेरे बन्दे हैं और अगर उन्हें बख्श देगा तो (कोई तेरा हाथ नहीं पकड़ सकता क्योंकि) बेशक तू ज़बरदस्त हिकमत वाला है।.
Ayah 119
قَالَ Will say ٱللَّهُ Allah, هَٰذَا "This يَوْمُ Day يَنفَعُ will profit ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful صِدْقُهُمْ their truthfulness." لَهُمْ For them جَنَّٰتٌ (are) Gardens تَجْرِى flows مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers خَٰلِدِينَ will abide فِيهَآ in it أَبَدًا forever." رَّضِىَ is pleased ٱللَّهُ Allah عَنْهُمْ with them وَرَضُوا۟ and they are pleased عَنْهُ with Him. ذَٰلِكَ That ٱلْفَوْزُ (is) the success, ٱلْعَظِيمُ (the) great.
English - Allah will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment. .
हिंदी - ख़ुदा फरमाएगा कि ये वह दिन है कि सच्चे बन्दों को उनकी सच्चाई (आज) काम आएगी उनके लिए (हरे भरे बेहिश्त के) वह बाग़ात है जिनके (दरख्तो के) नीचे नहरे जारी हैं (और) वह उसमें अबादुल आबाद तक रहेंगे ख़ुदा उनसे राज़ी और वह ख़ुदा से खुश यही बहुत बड़ी कामयाबी है।.
Ayah 120
لِلَّهِ To Allah (belongs) مُلْكُ the dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَمَا and what فِيهِنَّ (is) in them. وَهُوَ And He عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌۢ All-Powerful.
English - To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is within them. And He is over all things competent. .
हिंदी - सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और जो कुछ उनमें है सब ख़ुदा ही की सल्तनत है और वह हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर (व तवाना) है।.
