Ayah 1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe! ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe! ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe! لَا (Do) not تُقَدِّمُوا۟ put (yourselves) forward - بَيْنَ before Allah يَدَىِ before Allah ٱللَّهِ before Allah وَرَسُولِهِۦ and His Messenger وَٱتَّقُوا۟ and fear Allah. ٱللَّهَ and fear Allah. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah سَمِيعٌ (is) All-Hearer, عَلِيمٌ All-Knower.
English - O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and His Messenger but fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. .
हिंदी - एै ईमान वालो अल्लाह और उस के रसूल से आगे न बढ़ो और अल्लाह से डरते रहो बेशक अल्लाह सुनने वाला और जानने वाला है।.
Ayah 2
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe! ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe! ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe! لَا (Do) not تَرْفَعُوٓا۟ raise أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ your voices فَوْقَ above صَوْتِ (the) voice ٱلنَّبِىِّ (of) the Prophet, وَلَا and (do) not تَجْهَرُوا۟ be loud لَهُۥ to him بِٱلْقَوْلِ in speech كَجَهْرِ like (the) loudness بَعْضِكُمْ (of) some of you لِبَعْضٍ to others, أَن lest تَحْبَطَ become worthless أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ your deeds وَأَنتُمْ while you لَا (do) not تَشْعُرُونَ perceive.
English - O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not. .
हिंदी - एै ईमान वालो अपनी आवाज़ को नबी की आवाज़ से ऊँची न करो और न नबी के साथ ऊँची आवाज़ में बात करो जिस तरह तुम आपस में एक दूसरे से बात करते हो कहीं तुम्हारा किया कराया बर्बाद हो जाए और तुम्हें इहसास तक न हो।.
Ayah 3
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَغُضُّونَ lower أَصْوَٰتَهُمْ their voices عِندَ (in) presence رَسُولِ (of the) Messenger of Allah - ٱللَّهِ (of the) Messenger of Allah - أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those, ٱلَّذِينَ (are) the ones ٱمْتَحَنَ Allah has tested ٱللَّهُ Allah has tested قُلُوبَهُمْ their hearts لِلتَّقْوَىٰ for righteousness. لَهُم For them مَّغْفِرَةٌ (is) forgiveness وَأَجْرٌ and a reward عَظِيمٌ great.
English - Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah – they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward. .
हिंदी - बेशक जो लोग अपनी आवाज़ को अल्लाह के रसूल के सामने धीमी कर लेते हैं यही वह लोेग हैं जिन के दिल को अल्लाह ने परहेज़गारी के लिए जाँच लिया है उन के लिए माफ़ी और बड़ा बदला है।.
Ayah 4
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُنَادُونَكَ call you مِن from وَرَآءِ behind ٱلْحُجُرَٰتِ the private chambers, أَكْثَرُهُمْ most of them لَا (do) not يَعْقِلُونَ understand.
English - Indeed, those who call you, [O Muhammad], from behind the chambers – most of them do not use reason. .
हिंदी - यक़ीन्न जो लोग तुम्हें कमरों के बाहर से पुकारतें हैं, उन में से ज्यादातर समझते नहीं हैं।.
Ayah 5
وَلَوْ And if أَنَّهُمْ they صَبَرُوا۟ had been patient حَتَّىٰ until تَخْرُجَ you came out إِلَيْهِمْ to them لَكَانَ certainly it would be خَيْرًا better لَّهُمْ for them. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - अगर वह सब्र करते यहाँ तक कि तुम उन के पास निकल आते तो यह उन के लिए अच्छा था, और अल्लाह माफ़ करने वाला और रहम करने वाला है।.
Ayah 6
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe! ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe! ءَامَنُوٓا۟ O you who believe! إِن If جَآءَكُمْ comes to you فَاسِقٌۢ a wicked person بِنَبَإٍ with information, فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟ investigate, أَن lest تُصِيبُوا۟ you harm قَوْمًۢا a people بِجَهَٰلَةٍ in ignorance, فَتُصْبِحُوا۟ then you become, عَلَىٰ over مَا what فَعَلْتُمْ you have done, نَٰدِمِينَ regretful.
English - O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful. .
हिंदी - एै ईमान वालो अगर तम्हारे पास कोई गुनहगार ख़बर ले कर आए तो जाँच लो कहीं तुम नादानी में किसी क़ौम को नुक़सान पहुँचा बैठो फिर तुम अपने किये पर पछतावा करने लगो।.
Ayah 7
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ And know أَنَّ that فِيكُمْ among you رَسُولَ (is the) Messenger of Allah. ٱللَّهِ (is the) Messenger of Allah. لَوْ If يُطِيعُكُمْ he were to obey you فِى in كَثِيرٍ much مِّنَ of ٱلْأَمْرِ the matter, لَعَنِتُّمْ surely you would be in difficulty, وَلَٰكِنَّ but ٱللَّهَ Allah حَبَّبَ has endeared إِلَيْكُمُ to you ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ the Faith وَزَيَّنَهُۥ and has made it pleasing فِى in قُلُوبِكُمْ your hearts وَكَرَّهَ and has made hateful إِلَيْكُمُ to you ٱلْكُفْرَ disbelief وَٱلْفُسُوقَ and defiance وَٱلْعِصْيَانَ and disobedience. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those هُمُ (are) they - ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَ the guided ones.
English - And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided. .
हिंदी - और जान लो कि तुम मे अल्लाह के रसूल हैंए अगर वह तुम्हारी बात बहुत से मामलों में मान लेंगे तो तुम मुशकील में पड़ जाओगे मगर अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे दिलों में ईमान की मुहब्बत डाल दी और अच्छा दिखाया उस को तुम्हारे दिलों मेंए और तुम्हारे लिए कुफ़र और गुनाह और नाफ़रमानी की नफ़रत डाल दी यही लोग सीधे रास्ते पर हैं।.
Ayah 8
فَضْلًا A Bounty مِّنَ from Allah ٱللَّهِ from Allah وَنِعْمَةً and favor. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower, حَكِيمٌ All-Wise.
English - [It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. .
हिंदी - अल्लाह के फ़ज्ल और एहसान से और अल्लाह जानने वाला, हिकमत वाला है।.
Ayah 9
وَإِن And if طَآئِفَتَانِ two parties مِنَ among ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ fight, فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ then make peace بَيْنَهُمَا between both of them. فَإِنۢ But if بَغَتْ oppresses إِحْدَىٰهُمَا one of them عَلَى on ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ the other, فَقَٰتِلُوا۟ then fight ٱلَّتِى one which تَبْغِى oppresses حَتَّىٰ until تَفِىٓءَ it returns إِلَىٰٓ to أَمْرِ (the) command ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. فَإِن Then if فَآءَتْ it returns, فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ then make peace بَيْنَهُمَا between them بِٱلْعَدْلِ with justice, وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ and act justly. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يُحِبُّ loves ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ those who act justly.
English - And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah. And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly. .
हिंदी - और अगर मुसलमानों के दो गिरोह आपस में लड़ पड़े तो उन के बीच सुलह कराओ और अगर एक उन में से दूसरे पर ज़ुल्म करे तो उस से लड़ो जो ज्यादती करता है यहाँ तक कि वह अल्लाह के हुकम के आगे झुक जाए और अगर वह झुक जाए तो उन के बीच इन्साफ़ के साथ सुलह करा दोए और इन्साफ़ करोए बेशक अल्लाह इन्साफ़ करने वाले को पसन्द करता है।.
Ayah 10
إِنَّمَا Only ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers إِخْوَةٌ (are) brothers, فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ so make peace بَيْنَ between أَخَوَيْكُمْ your brothers, وَٱتَّقُوا۟ and fear Allah ٱللَّهَ and fear Allah لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُرْحَمُونَ receive mercy.
English - The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy. .
हिंदी - ईमान वाले एक दूसरे के भाई हैं तो अपने भाईयों के बीच सुलह को क़ायम करो और अल्लाह से डरते रहो ताकि तुम पर रहम किया जाए।.
Ayah 11
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe! ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe! ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe! لَا (Let) not يَسْخَرْ ridicule قَوْمٌ a people مِّن [of] قَوْمٍ (another) people, عَسَىٰٓ perhaps أَن that يَكُونُوا۟ they may be خَيْرًا better مِّنْهُمْ than them; وَلَا and (let) not نِسَآءٌ women مِّن [of] نِّسَآءٍ (other) women عَسَىٰٓ perhaps أَن that يَكُنَّ they may be خَيْرًا better مِّنْهُنَّ than them. وَلَا And (do) not تَلْمِزُوٓا۟ insult أَنفُسَكُمْ yourselves وَلَا and (do) not تَنَابَزُوا۟ call each other بِٱلْأَلْقَٰبِ by nicknames. بِئْسَ Wretched is ٱلِٱسْمُ the name ٱلْفُسُوقُ (of) disobedience بَعْدَ after ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ the faith. وَمَن And whoever لَّمْ (does) not يَتُبْ repent, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those - هُمُ they ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ (are) the wrongdoers.
English - O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent – then it is those who are the wrongdoers. .
हिंदी - एै ईमान वालोए कोई क़ौम किसी क़ौम की हँसी न उड़ाएँए शायद वह बेहतर हो उन सेए और न औरतें दूसरी औरतों की शायद की वह उन से बेहतर हांेए और एक दूसरे पर एैब न लगाओ और न बुरे नाम से पुकारो ईमान के बाद गुनाह का नाम ही बुरा हैए और जिन्हों ने तौबा नहीं की वही लोग ज़ालिम हैं।.
Ayah 12
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe! ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe! ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe! ٱجْتَنِبُوا۟ Avoid كَثِيرًا much مِّنَ of ٱلظَّنِّ the assumption. إِنَّ Indeed, بَعْضَ some ٱلظَّنِّ assumption إِثْمٌ (is) sin. وَلَا And (do) not تَجَسَّسُوا۟ spy وَلَا and (do) not يَغْتَب backbite بَّعْضُكُم some of you بَعْضًا (to) others. أَيُحِبُّ Would like أَحَدُكُمْ one of you أَن to يَأْكُلَ eat لَحْمَ (the) flesh أَخِيهِ (of) his brother, مَيْتًا dead? فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ Nay, you would hate it. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear Allah; ٱللَّهَ And fear Allah; إِنَّ indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah تَوَّابٌ (is) Oft-Returning, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful. .
हिंदी - एै ईमान वालो बहुत से गुमान से बचो क्यूँकि कुछ गुमान गुनाह होते हैं और जासूसी मत करोए और तुम में से कोई एक दूसरे की ग़ीबत न करेए क्या तुम में से कोई पसंद करेगा कि अपने मुर्दार भाई का गोश्त खाएए तो तुम उस को नापसंद करते होए और अल्लाह से डरोए बेशक अल्लाह तौबा क़ुबूल करने वाला और रहम करने वाला है।.
Ayah 13
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O mankind! ٱلنَّاسُ O mankind! إِنَّا Indeed, We خَلَقْنَٰكُم created you مِّن from ذَكَرٍ a male وَأُنثَىٰ and a female وَجَعَلْنَٰكُمْ and We made you شُعُوبًا nations وَقَبَآئِلَ and tribes لِتَعَارَفُوٓا۟ that you may know one another. إِنَّ Indeed, أَكْرَمَكُمْ (the) most noble of you عِندَ near ٱللَّهِ Allah أَتْقَىٰكُمْ (is the) most righteous of you. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower, خَبِيرٌ All-Aware.
English - O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted. .
हिंदी - एै लोगोए हम ने तुम्हें नर और मादा से पैदा कियाए और हमने तुम्हें ख़ानदान और क़बीले में बनायाए ताकि तुम एक दूसरे को पहचानोए और अल्लाह के पास तुम से ज्यादा इज्ज़त वाला वह है जो ज्यादा परहेज़गार हैए यक़ीनन अल्लाह ख़ूब जानने वाला और ख़बर रखनेवाला है।.
Ayah 14
قَالَتِ Say ٱلْأَعْرَابُ the Bedouins, ءَامَنَّا "We believe." قُل Say, لَّمْ "Not تُؤْمِنُوا۟ you believe; وَلَٰكِن but قُولُوٓا۟ say, أَسْلَمْنَا "We have submitted," وَلَمَّا and has not yet يَدْخُلِ entered ٱلْإِيمَٰنُ the faith فِى in قُلُوبِكُمْ your hearts. وَإِن But if تُطِيعُوا۟ you obey ٱللَّهَ Allah وَرَسُولَهُۥ and His Messenger, لَا not يَلِتْكُم He will deprive you مِّنْ of أَعْمَٰلِكُمْ your deeds شَيْـًٔا anything. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful.
English - The Bedouins say, "We have believed." Say, “You have not [yet] believed; but say [instead], 'We have submitted,' for faith has not yet entered your hearts. And if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not deprive you from your deeds of anything. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." .
हिंदी - बद्वू कहते हैं कि हम ईमान ले आएए कहो कि तुम ईमान नहीं लाऐ बल्कि कहो कि हम मुसलमान हो गएए और अभी ंतक ईमान तुम्हारे दिलों में दाख़िल नहीं हुआए और अगर तुम अल्लाह और उस के रसूल का हुक्म मानो तो वह तुम्हारे कर्मों में से कुछ कम नहीं करेगाए बेशक अल्लाह माफ़ करनेवालाए रहम करनेवाला है।.
Ayah 15
إِنَّمَا Only ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَرَسُولِهِۦ and His Messenger, ثُمَّ then لَمْ (do) not يَرْتَابُوا۟ doubt وَجَٰهَدُوا۟ but strive بِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْ with their wealth وَأَنفُسِهِمْ and their lives فِى in سَبِيلِ (the) way ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those هُمُ [they] ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ (are) the truthful."
English - The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is those who are the truthful. .
हिंदी - ईमान वाले तो वह हैं जो अल्लाह और उस के रसूल पर ईमान लाएए और शक में न पड़ेए और अपने जानों और मालों से अल्लाह के रास्ते में लड़ेए यही लोग सच्चे हैं।.
Ayah 16
قُلْ Say, أَتُعَلِّمُونَ "Will you acquaint ٱللَّهَ Allah بِدِينِكُمْ with your religion وَٱللَّهُ while Allah يَعْلَمُ knows مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَمَا and what فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بِكُلِّ of every شَىْءٍ thing عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower."
English - Say, "Would you acquaint Allah with your religion while Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is Knowing of all things?" .
हिंदी - कहोए क्या तुम अल्लाह को अपना दीन बताते हो और अल्लाह आसमानों और ज़मीन की सब चीज़ों को जानता हैए और अल्लाह हर चीज़ का जान्ने वाला है।.
Ayah 17
يَمُنُّونَ They consider (it) a favor عَلَيْكَ to you أَنْ that أَسْلَمُوا۟ they have accepted Islam. قُل Say, لَّا "(Do) not تَمُنُّوا۟ consider a favor عَلَىَّ on me - إِسْلَٰمَكُم your Islam. بَلِ Nay, ٱللَّهُ Allah يَمُنُّ has conferred a favor عَلَيْكُمْ upon you أَنْ that هَدَىٰكُمْ He has guided you لِلْإِيمَٰنِ to the faith, إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَٰدِقِينَ truthful.
English - They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful." .
हिंदी - वह तुम पर एहसान जताते हैं कि इस्लाम ले आऐए कहो कि एहसान मुझपर न रखोए बल्कि अल्लाह का तुम पर एहसान है कि ईमान की राह दीए अगर तुम सच्चे हो।.
Ayah 18
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يَعْلَمُ knows غَيْبَ (the) unseen ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بَصِيرٌۢ (is) All-Seer بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do."
English - Indeed, Allah knows the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seeing of what you do. .
हिंदी - यक़ीनन अल्लाह आसानों और ज़मीन की हर छिपी चीज को जानता हैए और अल्लाह देखता है जो तुम करते हो।.
