حمٓ Ha Meem.

हिंदी - हा मीम।.
Ayah 2
تَنزِيلُ (The) revelation ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book مِنَ (is) from ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَكِيمِ the All-Wise
English - The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise. .
हिंदी - इस किताब का उतारा जाना अल्लाह की तरफ से है, जो ज़्ाबरदस्त, हिकमत वाला है।.
Ayah 3
مَا Not خَلَقْنَا We created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and what بَيْنَهُمَآ (is) between both of them إِلَّا except بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth وَأَجَلٍ and (for) a term مُّسَمًّى appointed. وَٱلَّذِينَ But those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve, عَمَّآ from what أُنذِرُوا۟ they are warned, مُعْرِضُونَ (are) turning away.
English - We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away. .
हिंदी - हमने ज़मीन और आसमानों को और उन सारी चीज़ों को जो उस के बीच में है हक़ से साथ और एक ख़ास वक़त तक के लिए पैदा किया है, और इंकान करने वाले मुँह फेर लेते हैं जिस चीज़ से डराया जाता है।.
Ayah 4
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتُم "Do you see مَّا what تَدْعُونَ you call مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah? أَرُونِى Show me مَاذَا what خَلَقُوا۟ they have created مِنَ of ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth أَمْ or لَهُمْ for them شِرْكٌ (is) any share فِى in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens? ٱئْتُونِى Bring me بِكِتَٰبٍ a book مِّن from قَبْلِ before هَٰذَآ this أَوْ or أَثَٰرَةٍ a trace مِّنْ of عِلْمٍ knowledge, إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَٰدِقِينَ truthful."
English - Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful." .
हिंदी - कहो, क्या तुमने ग़ौर किया है, जिन को तुम अल्लाह के सिवा पुकारते हो, मुझे दिखाओ कि उन्होंने ज़मीन में क्या पैदा किया, या उन का आसमानों में कोई हिस्सा है? इस से पहले कोई किताब हो या कोई इल्मी रिवायत हो तो मेरे पास लाओ, अगर तुम सच्चे हो।.
Ayah 5
وَمَنْ And who أَضَلُّ (is) more astray مِمَّن than (he) who يَدْعُوا۟ calls مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah, مَن who لَّا will not respond يَسْتَجِيبُ will not respond لَهُۥٓ to him إِلَىٰ until يَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) Resurrection, وَهُمْ and they عَن of دُعَآئِهِمْ their calls غَٰفِلُونَ (are) unaware.
English - And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allah those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection, and they, of their invocation, are unaware. .
हिंदी - और इस से बढ़ कर कौन गुमराह होगा, जो अल्लाह को छोड़ कर एैसे को पुकारे जो क़यामत तक उस का जवाब नहीं दे सकता, और वह उन के पुकारने से भी बेख़बर है।.
Ayah 6
وَإِذَا And when حُشِرَ are gathered ٱلنَّاسُ the people, كَانُوا۟ they will be لَهُمْ for them أَعْدَآءً enemies وَكَانُوا۟ and they will be بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ of their worship كَٰفِرِينَ deniers.
English - And when the people are gathered [that Day], they [who were invoked] will be enemies to them, and they will be deniers of their worship. .
हिंदी - और जब लोग जमा किये जाएँगे, तो वह उन के दुश्मन होंगे, और उन की इबादत से इंकार कर देंगे।.
Ayah 7
وَإِذَا And when تُتْلَىٰ are recited عَلَيْهِمْ to them ءَايَٰتُنَا Our Verses بَيِّنَٰتٍ clear, قَالَ say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve لِلْحَقِّ of the truth لَمَّا when جَآءَهُمْ it comes to them, هَٰذَا "This سِحْرٌ (is) a magic مُّبِينٌ clear."
English - And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is obvious magic." .
हिंदी - और जब उन पर हमारी आयतें साफ़ साफ़ पढ़ी जाती हैं, तो इंकार करने वाले हक़ के बारे में जब उन के पास आ चुका, कहते हैं, “यह तो खुला जादू है”।.
Ayah 8
أَمْ Or يَقُولُونَ they say, ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ "He has invented it." قُلْ Say, إِنِ "If ٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥ I have invented it فَلَا then not تَمْلِكُونَ you have power لِى for me مِنَ against ٱللَّهِ Allah شَيْـًٔا anything. هُوَ He أَعْلَمُ knows best بِمَا of what تُفِيضُونَ you utter فِيهِ concerning it. كَفَىٰ Sufficient is He بِهِۦ Sufficient is He شَهِيدًۢا (as) a Witness بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَكُمْ and between you, وَهُوَ and He ٱلْغَفُورُ (is) the Oft-Forgiving, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful." .
हिंदी - क्या वह कहते हैं, “उन्हों ने उस को गढ़ लिया है”? कहो, “अगर मैं ने उसे गढ़ लिया है तो तुम मुझे अल्लाह से नहीं बचा सकते, वह जानता है जो बातें तुम उस में बनाते हो, गवाही के लिए वह मेरे और तुम्हारे बीच काफ़ी है, और वह माफ़ करने वाला, रहम करने वाला है।.
Ayah 9
قُلْ Say, مَا "Not كُنتُ I am بِدْعًا a new (one) مِّنَ among ٱلرُّسُلِ the Messengers وَمَآ and not أَدْرِى I know مَا what يُفْعَلُ will be done بِى with me وَلَا and not بِكُمْ with you. إِنْ Not أَتَّبِعُ I follow إِلَّا but مَا what يُوحَىٰٓ is revealed إِلَىَّ to me وَمَآ and not أَنَا۠ I am إِلَّا but نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear."
English - Say, "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am not but a clear warner." .
हिंदी - कहो, मैं कोई अनोखा रसूल नहीं हूँ, और न ही मैं जानता हूँ कि मेरे साथ और तुम्हारे साथ क्या होगा, मैं तो उस पर चलता हूँ जो मुझ पर प्रकाशना की जाती है, और मैं साफ़ साफ़ डराने वाला हूँ।.
Ayah 10
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتُمْ "Do you see إِن if كَانَ it is مِنْ from Allah عِندِ from Allah ٱللَّهِ from Allah وَكَفَرْتُم and you disbelieve بِهِۦ in it, وَشَهِدَ and testifies شَاهِدٌ a witness مِّنۢ from بَنِىٓ (the) Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (the) Children of Israel عَلَىٰ to مِثْلِهِۦ (the) like thereof, فَـَٔامَنَ then he believed وَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ while you are arrogant?" إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide ٱلْقَوْمَ the people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers.
English - Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur’an was from Allah, and you disbelieved in it while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed while you were arrogant…?" Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people. .
हिंदी - कहो, क्या तुमने ग़ौर किया है, अगर वह अल्लाह के पास से हो, और तुम ने उस का इंकार किया, हालाँकि बनी इसराईल में से एक गवाह ने गवाही दी इस जैसी किताब की, फिर वह ईमान ले आया, और तुम घमंड में पडे़ रहे, यक़ीनन अल्लाह ज़ालिम लोगों को रास्ता नहीं दिखाता।.
Ayah 11
وَقَالَ And say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve لِلَّذِينَ of those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, لَوْ "If كَانَ it had been خَيْرًا good, مَّا not سَبَقُونَآ they (would) have preceded us إِلَيْهِ to it." وَإِذْ And when لَمْ not يَهْتَدُوا۟ they (are) guided بِهِۦ by it, فَسَيَقُولُونَ they say, هَٰذَآ "This إِفْكٌ (is) a lie قَدِيمٌ ancient."
English - And those who disbelieve say of those who believe, "If it had [truly] been good, they would not have preceded us to it." And when they are not guided by it, they will say, "This is an ancient falsehood." .
हिंदी - और काफ़िर ईमान वालों से कहते हैं, “अगर यह कुछ अच्छा होता, तो यह हमसे आगे नहीं रहते” और जब उन्होंने इस से हिदायत नहीं पाई, तो कहेंगे यह तो पुराना झूठ है।.
Ayah 12
وَمِن And before it قَبْلِهِۦ And before it كِتَٰبُ (was the) Scripture مُوسَىٰٓ (of) Musa إِمَامًا (as) a guide وَرَحْمَةً and a mercy. وَهَٰذَا And this كِتَٰبٌ (is) a Book مُّصَدِّقٌ confirming, لِّسَانًا (in) language عَرَبِيًّا Arabic لِّيُنذِرَ to warn ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوا۟ do wrong وَبُشْرَىٰ and (as) glad tidings لِلْمُحْسِنِينَ for the good-doers.
English - And before it was the scripture of Moses to lead and as a mercy. And this is a confirming Book in an Arabic tongue to warn those who have wronged and as good tidings to the doers of good. .
हिंदी - और इस से पहले मूसा की किताब जो रहनुमा और रहमत थी, और यह किताब पुष्टि करने वाली है अरबी ज़बान में ज़ालिमों को डराने के लिए, और एहसान करने वालों के लिए ख़ुशख़बरी है।.
Ayah 13
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوا۟ say, رَبُّنَا "Our Lord ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah," ثُمَّ then ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ remain firm, فَلَا then no خَوْفٌ fear عَلَيْهِمْ on them وَلَا and not هُمْ they يَحْزَنُونَ will grieve.
English - Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah," and then remained on a right course – there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन लोगों ने कहा, हमारा रब अल्लाह है, फिर वह उस पर जमे रहे फिर उन पर कोई ख़ौफ़ नहीं और न ही वह ग़मगीन होंगे।.
Ayah 14
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those أَصْحَٰبُ (are the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ (of) Paradise خَٰلِدِينَ abiding forever فِيهَا therein, جَزَآءًۢ a reward بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - Those are the companions of Paradise, abiding eternally therein as reward for what they used to do. .
हिंदी - यही लोग जननत वाले हैं, उस में हमेशा रहेंगे, उस का बदला है जो वह किया करते थे।.
Ayah 15
وَوَصَّيْنَا And We have enjoined ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ (on) man بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ to his parents إِحْسَٰنًا kindness. حَمَلَتْهُ Carried him أُمُّهُۥ his mother كُرْهًا (with) hardship وَوَضَعَتْهُ and gave birth to him كُرْهًا (with) hardship. وَحَمْلُهُۥ And (the) bearing of him وَفِصَٰلُهُۥ and (the) weaning of him ثَلَٰثُونَ (is) thirty شَهْرًا month(s) حَتَّىٰٓ until, إِذَا when بَلَغَ he reaches أَشُدَّهُۥ his maturity وَبَلَغَ and reaches أَرْبَعِينَ forty سَنَةً year(s), قَالَ he says, رَبِّ "My Lord, أَوْزِعْنِىٓ grant me (the) power أَنْ that أَشْكُرَ I may be grateful نِعْمَتَكَ (for) Your favor ٱلَّتِىٓ which أَنْعَمْتَ You have bestowed عَلَىَّ upon me وَعَلَىٰ and upon وَٰلِدَىَّ my parents وَأَنْ and that أَعْمَلَ I do صَٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) تَرْضَىٰهُ which please You, وَأَصْلِحْ and make righteous لِى for me فِى among ذُرِّيَّتِىٓ my offspring, إِنِّى indeed, تُبْتُ I turn إِلَيْكَ to You وَإِنِّى and indeed, I am مِنَ of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ those who submit."
English - And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims." .
हिंदी - और हमने इंसान को अपने माँ बाप के साथ भलाई करने का हुक्म दिया, उस की माँ ने उस को तकलीफ़ से उठाया, और तकलीफ़ से उस को पैदा किया, उस का पेट में रखना और दूध छुड़ाना तीस महीने का है, यहाँ तक कि जब वह अपनी पूरी जवानी को पहुँचा और चालीस साल की उमर को पहँुचा, तो उस ने कहा, एै मेरे रब मुझे तौफ़ीक़ दे कि मैं तेरी नेमत का शुक्र अदा करूँ, जो तू ने मुझ पर इनाम किया और मेरे माँ बाप पर, नेक काम करूँ जिसे तू पसंद करे और मेरे लिए मेरी औलाद को नेक बना दे। मैं तेरे लिए तौबा करता हूँ और मैं मुसलमानों में से हूँ।.
Ayah 16
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those ٱلَّذِينَ (are) the ones نَتَقَبَّلُ We will accept عَنْهُمْ from them أَحْسَنَ (the) best مَا (of) what عَمِلُوا۟ they did وَنَتَجَاوَزُ and We will overlook عَن [from] سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ their evil deeds, فِىٓ among أَصْحَٰبِ (the) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ (of) Paradise. وَعْدَ A promise ٱلصِّدْقِ true ٱلَّذِى which كَانُوا۟ they were يُوعَدُونَ promised.
English - Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised. .
हिंदी - यही वह लोग हैं जिन के अच्छे कामों को हम क़ुबूल करते हैं, और उन की ग़लती को माफ़ करते हैं, जन्नत के लोगों में से, सच्चा वादा है जो उन से किया गया था।.
Ayah 17
وَٱلَّذِى But the one who قَالَ says لِوَٰلِدَيْهِ to his parents, أُفٍّ "Uff لَّكُمَآ to both of you! أَتَعِدَانِنِىٓ Do you promise me أَنْ that أُخْرَجَ I will be brought forth, وَقَدْ and have already passed away خَلَتِ and have already passed away ٱلْقُرُونُ the generations مِن before me?" قَبْلِى before me?" وَهُمَا And they both يَسْتَغِيثَانِ seek help ٱللَّهَ (of) Allah. وَيْلَكَ "Woe to you! ءَامِنْ Believe! إِنَّ Indeed, وَعْدَ (the) Promise ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah حَقٌّ (is) true." فَيَقُولُ But he says, مَا "Not هَٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّآ but أَسَٰطِيرُ (the) stories ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people)."
English - But one who says to his parents, "Uff to you; do you promise me that I will be brought forth [from the earth] when generations before me have already passed on [into oblivion]?" while they call to Allah for help [and to their son], "Woe to you! Believe! Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth." But he says, "This is not but legends of the former people" – .
हिंदी - और जिस ने अपने माँ बाप से कहा, “उफ़ है तुम पर”, क्या तुम मुझे डराते हो कि मैं उठाया जाऊँगा, हालाँकि मुझ से पहले बहुत सी कौमें गुज़र चुकीं और वह दोनों अल्लाह से फ़रयाद करते हैं, “तेरा नास हो, तू ईमान ले आ, बेशक अल्लाह का वादा हक़ है” मगर वह कहता है, “यह तो पुराने लोगों के अफ़साने हैं”।.
Ayah 18
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those - ٱلَّذِينَ (are) the ones حَقَّ (has) proved true عَلَيْهِمُ against them ٱلْقَوْلُ the word فِىٓ among أُمَمٍ nations قَدْ (that) already passed away خَلَتْ (that) already passed away مِن before them قَبْلِهِم before them مِّنَ of ٱلْجِنِّ (the) jinn وَٱلْإِنسِ and the men. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ are خَٰسِرِينَ (the) losers.
English - Those are the ones upon whom the word has come into effect, [who will be] among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers. .
हिंदी - यही वह लोग हैं जिन पर फ़ैसला साबित हो चुका है, एैसी क़ौमों में जो उन से पहले इंसानो और जिन्नातों में से गुज़र चुके हैं, यक़ीनन यही लोग नुक़सान में हैं।.
Ayah 19
وَلِكُلٍّ And for all دَرَجَٰتٌ (are) degrees مِّمَّا for what عَمِلُوا۟ they did, وَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْ and that He may fully compensate them أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ (for) their deeds, وَهُمْ and they لَا will not be wronged. يُظْلَمُونَ will not be wronged.
English - And for all there are degrees [of reward and punishment] for what they have done, and [it is] so that He may fully compensate them for their deeds, and they will not be wronged. .
हिंदी - और हर एक के लिए उस के कामों के हिसाब से दरजे हैं, ताकि उनके किए का पूरा पूरा बदला उनको दे, और उन पर ज़्ाुल्म नहीं किया जाएगा।.
Ayah 20
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يُعْرَضُ will be exposed ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved عَلَى to ٱلنَّارِ the Fire. أَذْهَبْتُمْ "You exhausted طَيِّبَٰتِكُمْ your good things فِى in حَيَاتِكُمُ your life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world, وَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم and you took your pleasures بِهَا therein. فَٱلْيَوْمَ So today تُجْزَوْنَ you will be recompensed عَذَابَ (with) a punishment ٱلْهُونِ humiliating بِمَا because كُنتُمْ you were تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ arrogant فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth بِغَيْرِ without ٱلْحَقِّ [the] right وَبِمَا and because كُنتُمْ you were تَفْسُقُونَ defiantly disobedient."
English - And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "You exhausted your pleasures during your worldly life and enjoyed them, so this Day you will be awarded the punishment of [extreme] humiliation because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient." .
हिंदी - जिस दिन काफ़िर को आग के सामने लाया जाएगा, “तुम ने अपनी अच्छी चीज़ों को दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी में उड़ा लिया, और उनका मज़ा तुम ले चुके, तो आज तुम्हारे लिए ज़िल्लत का अज़ाब है, इस लिए कि तुम ज़मीन में नाहक़ घमंड करते थे, और इस लिए कि तुम नाफ़रमानी करते थे”।.
Ayah 21
وَٱذْكُرْ And mention أَخَا (the) brother عَادٍ (of) Aad, إِذْ when أَنذَرَ he warned قَوْمَهُۥ his people بِٱلْأَحْقَافِ in the Al-Ahqaf - وَقَدْ and had already passed away خَلَتِ and had already passed away ٱلنُّذُرُ [the] warners مِنۢ before him بَيْنِ before him يَدَيْهِ before him وَمِنْ and after him, خَلْفِهِۦٓ and after him, أَلَّا "That not تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ you worship إِلَّا except ٱللَّهَ Allah. إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear عَلَيْكُمْ for you عَذَابَ a punishment يَوْمٍ (of) a Day عَظِيمٍ Great."
English - And mention, [O Muhammad], the brother of ‘Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf – and warners had already passed on before him and after him – [saying], "Do not worship except Allah. Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day." .
हिंदी - और तुम आद के भाई को याद करो कि जब उस ने अपनी क़ौम को अहक़ाफ़ (वादी) में डराया, और इस से पहले और इस के बाद बहुत से डराने वाले गुज़र चुके हैं, कि अल्लाह के सिवा किसी की इबादत मत करो,“ मैं तुम पर बड़े दिन के अज़ाब से डरता हूँ।.
Ayah 22
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, أَجِئْتَنَا "Have you come to us لِتَأْفِكَنَا to turn us away عَنْ from ءَالِهَتِنَا our gods? فَأْتِنَا Then bring us بِمَا what تَعِدُنَآ you threaten us, إِن if كُنتَ you are مِنَ of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful."
English - They said, "Have you come to delude us away from our gods? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful." .
हिंदी - उन्होंने कहा, क्या तुम हमारे पास इसलिए आए हो कि हमें अपने पूज्यों से फेर दो, तो ले आओ हम पर जिस की तुम हमें धमकी देते हो, अगर तुम सच्चे हो”।.
Ayah 23
قَالَ He said, إِنَّمَا "Only ٱلْعِلْمُ the knowledge عِندَ (is) with Allah ٱللَّهِ (is) with Allah وَأُبَلِّغُكُم and I convey to you مَّآ what أُرْسِلْتُ I am sent بِهِۦ with it, وَلَٰكِنِّىٓ but أَرَىٰكُمْ I see you قَوْمًا a people تَجْهَلُونَ ignorant."
English - He said, "Knowledge [of its time] is only with Allah, and I convey to you that with which I was sent; but I see you [to be] a people behaving ignorantly." .
हिंदी - उस ने कहा, “बेशक इल्म तो अल्लाह के पास है, मैं तुम्हें वही पहुँचाता हूँ जिसे देकर मुझे भेजा गया है, लेकिन मैं तुम्हें देखता हूँ, तुम लोग नादानी करते हो”।.
Ayah 24
فَلَمَّا Then when رَأَوْهُ they saw it عَارِضًا (as) a cloud مُّسْتَقْبِلَ approaching أَوْدِيَتِهِمْ their valleys, قَالُوا۟ they said, هَٰذَا "This عَارِضٌ (is) a cloud مُّمْطِرُنَا bringing us rain." بَلْ Nay, هُوَ it مَا (is) what ٱسْتَعْجَلْتُم you were asking it to be hastened, بِهِۦ you were asking it to be hastened, رِيحٌ a wind فِيهَا in it عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment أَلِيمٌ painful,
English - And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment, .
हिंदी - फिर जब उन्हों ने देखा बादल को अपनी वादी की तरफ़ आते हुए, तो बोले, “यह बादल है जो हम पर बरसेगा”, बल्कि यह वह चीज़ है जिस की तुम्हें जलदी थी, एक आँधी जिस में दर्दनाक अज़ाब है।.
Ayah 25
تُدَمِّرُ Destroying كُلَّ every شَىْءٍۭ thing بِأَمْرِ by (the) command رَبِّهَا (of) its Lord. فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ Then they became (such), لَا not يُرَىٰٓ is seen إِلَّا except مَسَٰكِنُهُمْ their dwellings. كَذَٰلِكَ Thus نَجْزِى We recompense ٱلْقَوْمَ the people ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ [the] criminals.
English - Destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus do We recompense the criminal people. .
हिंदी - जो हर चीज़ को अपने रब के हुक्म से तहस नहस कर देगी, फिर सुबह को एैसे हो गए कि सिवाए उन के घरों के कुछ नज़र नहीं आता था, हम इसी तरह मुजरिम लोगों को सज़ा देते हैं।.
Ayah 26
وَلَقَدْ And certainly, مَكَّنَّٰهُمْ We had established them فِيمَآ in what إِن not مَّكَّنَّٰكُمْ We have established you فِيهِ in it, وَجَعَلْنَا and We made لَهُمْ for them سَمْعًا hearing وَأَبْصَٰرًا and vision وَأَفْـِٔدَةً and hearts. فَمَآ But not أَغْنَىٰ availed عَنْهُمْ them سَمْعُهُمْ their hearing وَلَآ and not أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ their vision وَلَآ and not أَفْـِٔدَتُهُم their hearts مِّن any شَىْءٍ thing, إِذْ when كَانُوا۟ they were يَجْحَدُونَ rejecting بِـَٔايَٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَحَاقَ and enveloped بِهِم them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they used to بِهِۦ [at it] يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ridicule.
English - And We had certainly established them in such as We have not established you, and We made for them hearing and vision and hearts. But their hearing and vision and hearts availed them not from anything [of the punishment] when they were [continually] rejecting the signs of Allah; and they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule. .
हिंदी - और हम ने उन को वह ताक़त दी थी, जो हमने तुम्हें नहीं दी, उन को हम ने कान, आँखें और दिल दीए थे, तो उन के कान और उन की आँखें और उन के दिल कुछ भी काम न आए, इसलिए कि वह अल्लाह की निशानियों का इंकार किया करते थे, और घेर लिया उन को उस चीज़ ने जिस का वह मज़ाक़ उड़ाया करते थे।.
Ayah 27
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed مَا what حَوْلَكُم surrounds you مِّنَ of ٱلْقُرَىٰ the towns, وَصَرَّفْنَا and We have diversified ٱلْءَايَٰتِ the Signs, لَعَلَّهُمْ that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return.
English - And We have already destroyed what surrounds you of [those] cities, and We have diversified the signs [or verses] that perhaps they might return [from disbelief]. .
हिंदी - यक़ीनन हम ने हलाक किया उन बस्तीयों को जो तुम्हारे इर्द गिर्द हैं, हमने निशानियों को तरह तरह से बयान किया, शायद कि वह लौट आऐं।.
Ayah 28
فَلَوْلَا Then why (did) not نَصَرَهُمُ help them ٱلَّذِينَ those whom ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ they had taken مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah قُرْبَانًا gods as a way of approach? ءَالِهَةًۢ gods as a way of approach? بَلْ Nay, ضَلُّوا۟ they were lost عَنْهُمْ from them. وَذَٰلِكَ And that إِفْكُهُمْ (was) their falsehood وَمَا and what كَانُوا۟ they were يَفْتَرُونَ inventing.
English - Then why did those they took besides Allah as deities by which to approach [Him] not aid them? But they had strayed from them. And that was their falsehood and what they were inventing. .
हिंदी - फिर उन्होंने क्यूँ न उन की मदद की जिन को उन्होंने नज़्ादीकी हासिल करने के लिए अल्लाह के अलावा पूज्य बना रखा था, बल्कि वह उन से गुम हो गए और यह उन का झूठ था और उन की गढ़ी हुई बातें थी।.
Ayah 29
وَإِذْ And when صَرَفْنَآ We directed إِلَيْكَ to you نَفَرًا a party مِّنَ of ٱلْجِنِّ the jinn, يَسْتَمِعُونَ listening ٱلْقُرْءَانَ (to) the Quran. فَلَمَّا And when حَضَرُوهُ they attended it, قَالُوٓا۟ they said, أَنصِتُوا۟ "Listen quietly." فَلَمَّا And when قُضِىَ it was concluded, وَلَّوْا۟ they turned back إِلَىٰ to قَوْمِهِم their people مُّنذِرِينَ (as) warners.
English - And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur’an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners. .
हिंदी - और जब हम जिनों की एक जमात को तुम्हारी तरफ़ ले आए कि क़ुरान सुनें, तो जब वह उन के पास पहुँचे तो वह बोले, “ख़ामोश रहो” फिर जब पूरा हुआ तो वह अपनी क़ौम की तरफ़ ख़बरदार करने वाले बनकर लौटे।.
Ayah 30
قَالُوا۟ They said, يَٰقَوْمَنَآ "O our people! إِنَّا Indeed, we سَمِعْنَا [we] have heard كِتَٰبًا a Book أُنزِلَ revealed مِنۢ after بَعْدِ after مُوسَىٰ Musa مُصَدِّقًا confirming لِّمَا what بَيْنَ (was) before it, يَدَيْهِ (was) before it, يَهْدِىٓ guiding إِلَى to ٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَإِلَىٰ and to طَرِيقٍ a Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍ Straight.
English - They said, "O our people, indeed we have heard a [recited] Book revealed after Moses confirming what was before it which guides to the truth and to a straight path. .
हिंदी - उन्होंने कहा, “एै मेरी क़ौम हमने एक एैसी किताब सुनी है जो मूसा के बाद उतरी है, पुष्टि करती है जो इस से पहले थी, जो हक़ की तरफ़ और सीधे रास्ते की तरफ़ रहनुमाई करती है।.
Ayah 31
يَٰقَوْمَنَآ O our people! أَجِيبُوا۟ Respond دَاعِىَ (to the) caller ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَءَامِنُوا۟ and believe بِهِۦ in him. يَغْفِرْ He will forgive لَكُم for you مِّن of ذُنُوبِكُمْ your sins وَيُجِرْكُم and will protect you مِّنْ from عَذَابٍ a punishment أَلِيمٍ painful.
English - O our people, respond to the Messenger of Allah and believe in him; Allah will forgive for you your sins and protect you from a painful punishment. .
हिंदी - एै मेरी क़ौम, “अल्लाह की तरफ़ बुलाने वाले को क़ुबूल करलो, और उस पर ईमान ले आओ, वह तुम्हारे गुनाहों को माफ़ कर देगा, और तुम्हें दर्दनाक अज़ाब से बचा लेगा।.
Ayah 32
وَمَن And whoever لَّا (does) not يُجِبْ respond دَاعِىَ (to the) caller ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, فَلَيْسَ then not بِمُعْجِزٍ he can escape فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth, وَلَيْسَ and not لَهُۥ for him مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦٓ besides Him أَوْلِيَآءُ protectors. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those فِى (are) in ضَلَٰلٍ error مُّبِينٍ clear."
English - But he who does not respond to the Caller of Allah will not cause failure [to Him] upon earth, and he will not have besides Him any protectors. Those are in manifest error." .
हिंदी - और जो अल्लाह की तरफ़ बुलाने वाले को नहीं मानता, तो वह (अल्लाह को) ज़मीन में तंग नहीं कर सकता, और उस के लिए उस के अलावा कोई मददगार नहीं, वही लोग खुली गमराही में हैं।.
Ayah 33
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah, ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَلَمْ and (was) not يَعْىَ tired بِخَلْقِهِنَّ by their creation, بِقَٰدِرٍ (is) able عَلَىٰٓ to give life أَن to give life يُحْۦِىَ to give life ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ (to) the dead? بَلَىٰٓ Yes, إِنَّهُۥ indeed He عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful.
English - Do they not see that Allah, who created the heavens and earth and did not fail in their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yes. Indeed, He is over all things competent. .
हिंदी - क्या उन्हों ने देखा नहीं कि वह अल्लाह जिस ने आसमानों और ज़मीन को पैदा किया, और उन को पैदा करके थका नहीं, वह इस पर ताकत रखता है कि मुर्दा को ज़िंदा कर दे, हाँ क्यूँ नहीं वह हर चीज़ पर ताक़त रखने वाला है।.
Ayah 34
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day, يُعْرَضُ are exposed ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved عَلَى to ٱلنَّارِ the Fire, أَلَيْسَ "Is not هَٰذَا this بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth?" قَالُوا۟ They will say, بَلَىٰ "Yes وَرَبِّنَا by our Lord." قَالَ He will say, فَذُوقُوا۟ "Then taste ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment بِمَا because كُنتُمْ you used to تَكْفُرُونَ disbelieve."
English - And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will say, "Then taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve." .
हिंदी - जिस दिन काफ़िर को आग के सामने लाया जाएगा, “क्या यह सच नहीं” वह कहेंगे, “मेरे रब की क़सम हा क्यूँ नहीं” तो वह कहेगा, “अज़ाब का मज़्ाा चख़ो, उस के बदले जो तुम करते थे”।.
Ayah 35
فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient, كَمَا as صَبَرَ had patience أُو۟لُوا۟ those of determination ٱلْعَزْمِ those of determination مِنَ of ٱلرُّسُلِ the Messengers, وَلَا and (do) not تَسْتَعْجِل seek to hasten لَّهُمْ for them. كَأَنَّهُمْ As if they had, يَوْمَ (the) Day يَرَوْنَ they see مَا what يُوعَدُونَ they were promised, لَمْ not يَلْبَثُوٓا۟ remained إِلَّا except سَاعَةً an hour مِّن of نَّهَارٍۭ a day. بَلَٰغٌ A notification. فَهَلْ But will يُهْلَكُ (any) be destroyed إِلَّا except ٱلْقَوْمُ the people - ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ the defiantly disobedient?
English - So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for them. It will be – on the Day they see that which they are promised – as though they had not remained [in the world] except an hour of a day. [This is] notification. And will [any] be destroyed except the defiantly disobedient people? .
हिंदी - तो तुम सब्र करो, जिस तरह रसूलों में से ऊँची हिम्मत वाले रसूल ने सब्र किया, और उन के लिए जलदी न करो, जिस दिन वह देखेंगे जिस का वादा किया गया है, तो जैसे वह नहीं ठहरे मगर दिन की एक घड़ी, पैग़ाम है, नाफ़रमान ही हलाक होंगे।.
