حمٓ Ha Meem.
English - Ha, Meem. .
हिंदी - हा मीम।.
Ayah 2
تَنزِيلٌ A revelation مِّنَ from ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious, ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful,
English - [This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful – .
हिंदी - बड़े मेहरबान और रहम करने वाले की तरफ़ से उतरी है।.
Ayah 3
كِتَٰبٌ A Book, فُصِّلَتْ are detailed ءَايَٰتُهُۥ its Verses, قُرْءَانًا a Quran عَرَبِيًّا (in) Arabic لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يَعْلَمُونَ (who) know,
English - A Book whose verses have been detailed, an Arabic Qur’an for a people who know, .
हिंदी - यह एक ऐसी किताब है जिसकी आयतें खोल खोल कर बता दी गयी हैं। अरबी में क़ुरआन है उन के लिए जो जानते हैं।.
Ayah 4
بَشِيرًا A giver of glad tidings وَنَذِيرًا and a warner; فَأَعْرَضَ but turn away أَكْثَرُهُمْ most of them, فَهُمْ so they لَا (do) not يَسْمَعُونَ hear.
English - As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. .
हिंदी - ख़ुशख़बरी देने वाली और डराने वाली है। तो उन में से अक्सर ने मुँह फेर लिया, तो वह सुनते नहीं।.
Ayah 5
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, قُلُوبُنَا "Our hearts فِىٓ (are) in أَكِنَّةٍ coverings مِّمَّا from what تَدْعُونَآ you call us إِلَيْهِ to it, وَفِىٓ and in ءَاذَانِنَا our ears وَقْرٌ (is) deafness, وَمِنۢ and between us بَيْنِنَا and between us وَبَيْنِكَ and between you حِجَابٌ (is) a screen. فَٱعْمَلْ So work, إِنَّنَا indeed, we عَٰمِلُونَ (are) working."
English - And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working." .
हिंदी - और वह कहते हैं कि हमारे दिल उस से पर्दे में हैं जिसकी तरफ़ तुम हमें बुलाते हो और हमारे कानों में डाट है और हमारे और तुम्हारे बीच एक पर्दा है, तो तुम काम करो और हम भी काम करेंगे।.
Ayah 6
قُلْ Say, إِنَّمَآ "Only أَنَا۠ I am بَشَرٌ a man مِّثْلُكُمْ like you, يُوحَىٰٓ it is revealed إِلَىَّ to me أَنَّمَآ that إِلَٰهُكُمْ your god إِلَٰهٌ (is) God وَٰحِدٌ One; فَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟ so take a Straight Path إِلَيْهِ to Him وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ and ask His forgiveness." وَوَيْلٌ And woe لِّلْمُشْرِكِينَ to the polytheists,
English - Say, O [Muhammad], "I am only a man like you to whom it has been revealed that your god is but one God; so take a straight course to Him and seek His forgiveness." And woe to those who associate others with Allah – .
हिंदी - कह दो मैं भी तुम्हारी तरह इंसान हूँ। मुझ पर वही (प्रकाशना) होती है कि तुम्हारा पूज्य एक ही पूज्य है, तो उसी की तरफ़ सीधे रहो और उस से माफ़ी चाहो और साझी ठहराने वालों के लिए बर्बादी है।.
Ayah 7
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who لَا (do) not يُؤْتُونَ give ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ the zakah, وَهُم and they بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter هُمْ they كَٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers.
English - Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. .
हिंदी - जो ज़कात (दान) नहीं देते और वह आख़िरत के इंकार करने वाले हैं।.
Ayah 8
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous deeds, لَهُمْ for them أَجْرٌ (is) a reward غَيْرُ never ending. مَمْنُونٍ never ending.
English - Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds – for them is a reward uninterrupted. .
हिंदी - बेशक जो ईमान लाए और नेक काम करते रहे उनके लिए कभी ना ख़त्म होने वाला बदला है।.
Ayah 9
قُلْ Say, أَئِنَّكُمْ "Do you indeed لَتَكْفُرُونَ [surely] disbelieve بِٱلَّذِى in the One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth فِى in يَوْمَيْنِ two periods وَتَجْعَلُونَ and you set up لَهُۥٓ with Him أَندَادًا rivals? ذَٰلِكَ That رَبُّ (is the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds."
English - Say, "Do you indeed disbelieve in He who created the earth in two days and attribute to Him equals? That is the Lord of the worlds." .
हिंदी - कह दो, क्या तुम उसका यक़ीनन इंकार करते हो? जिस ने ज़मीन को दो दिनों में पैदा किया और तुम उसका साझी ठहराते हो। वह सारी दुनिया का पालनेवाला है।.
Ayah 10
وَجَعَلَ And He placed فِيهَا therein رَوَٰسِىَ firmly-set mountains مِن above it فَوْقِهَا above it وَبَٰرَكَ and He blessed فِيهَا therein, وَقَدَّرَ and determined فِيهَآ therein أَقْوَٰتَهَا its sustenance فِىٓ in أَرْبَعَةِ four أَيَّامٍ periods سَوَآءً equal, لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ for those who ask.
English - And He placed on the earth firmly set mountains over its surface, and He blessed it and determined therein its [creatures'] sustenance in four days without distinction – for [the information] of those who ask. .
हिंदी - और उसने उसके ऊपर पहाड़ बनाए और उसमें बरकत रखी और उसमें चार दिनों में उसकी रोज़ी ठहरा दी। सवाल करने वालों के लिए बराबर है।.
Ayah 11
ثُمَّ Then ٱسْتَوَىٰٓ He directed (Himself) إِلَى towards ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven وَهِىَ while it (was) دُخَانٌ smoke, فَقَالَ and He said لَهَا to it وَلِلْأَرْضِ and to the earth, ٱئْتِيَا "Come both of you طَوْعًا willingly أَوْ or كَرْهًا unwillingly." قَالَتَآ They both said, أَتَيْنَا "We come طَآئِعِينَ willingly."
English - Then He directed Himself to the heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth, "Come [into being], willingly or by compulsion." They said, "We have come willingly." .
हिंदी - फिर वह आसमान की तरफ़ मुड़ा और वह धुआँ था तो उसने उससे और ज़मीन से कहा कि आओ ख़ुशी से या नाख़ुश हो कर। दोनों ने कहा हम ख़ुशी से आए हैं।.
Ayah 12
فَقَضَىٰهُنَّ Then He completed them سَبْعَ (as) seven سَمَٰوَاتٍ heavens فِى in يَوْمَيْنِ two periods وَأَوْحَىٰ and He revealed فِى in كُلِّ each سَمَآءٍ heaven أَمْرَهَا its affair. وَزَيَّنَّا And We adorned ٱلسَّمَآءَ the heaven, ٱلدُّنْيَا [the world] بِمَصَٰبِيحَ with lamps وَحِفْظًا and (to) guard. ذَٰلِكَ That تَقْدِيرُ (is the) Decree ٱلْعَزِيزِ (of) the All-Mighty, ٱلْعَلِيمِ the All-Knower.
English - And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - फिर उन्हें दो दिनों में सात आसमान बना दिया और हर आसमान में उसका क़ानून भेजा और दुनिया के आसमान को चिरागों से सजा दिया और बचाव किया। यह ज़बरदस्त, जानने वाले का अंदाज़ा है।.
Ayah 13
فَإِنْ But if أَعْرَضُوا۟ they turn away, فَقُلْ then say, أَنذَرْتُكُمْ "I have warned you صَٰعِقَةً (of) a thunderbolt مِّثْلَ like صَٰعِقَةِ (the) thunderbolt عَادٍ (of) Aad وَثَمُودَ and Thamud."
English - But if they turn away, then say, "I have warned you of a thunderbolt like the thunderbolt [that struck] ‘Aad and Thamūd. .
हिंदी - फिर भी अगर ये मुँह फेर लें तो कह दो कि मैं तुम्हें बिजली से डराता हूँ, आद और समूद जैसी बिजली से।.
Ayah 14
إِذْ When جَآءَتْهُمُ came to them ٱلرُّسُلُ the Messengers مِنۢ from before them بَيْنِ from before them أَيْدِيهِمْ from before them وَمِنْ and from خَلْفِهِمْ behind them, أَلَّا (saying) "Do not تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ worship إِلَّا except ٱللَّهَ Allah." قَالُوا۟ They said, لَوْ "If شَآءَ (had) willed رَبُّنَا our Lord, لَأَنزَلَ surely, He (would have) sent down مَلَٰٓئِكَةً Angels. فَإِنَّا So indeed, we بِمَآ in what أُرْسِلْتُم you have been sent بِهِۦ with كَٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers."
English - [That occurred] when the messengers had come to them before them and after them, [saying], "Worship not except Allah." They said, "If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down the angels, so indeed we, in that with which you have been sent, are disbelievers." .
हिंदी - जब उनके पास रसूल उनके आगेे और उनके पीछे से आए, कि तुम अल्लाह के सिवा किसी की पूजा मत करो। तो कहने लगे अगर हमारा रब चाहता तो फ़रिश्ते उतारता। इसलिए तुम जिस को देकर भेजे गए हो हम उसको नहीं मानते।.
Ayah 15
فَأَمَّا Then as for عَادٌ Aad, فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ they were arrogant فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the land بِغَيْرِ without ٱلْحَقِّ [the] right وَقَالُوا۟ and they said, مَنْ "Who أَشَدُّ (is) mightier مِنَّا than us قُوَّةً (in) strength?" أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah, ٱلَّذِى the One Who خَلَقَهُمْ created them, هُوَ He أَشَدُّ (is) Mightier مِنْهُمْ than them قُوَّةً (in) strength? وَكَانُوا۟ But they used to, بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا in Our Signs, يَجْحَدُونَ deny.
English - As for ‘Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs. .
हिंदी - फिर रहे आद, तो उन्होंने ज़मीन में नाहक़ घमंड किया और कहा कि कौन है हमसे ज़्यादा ताक़त वाला? क्या उन्होंने नहीं देखा कि अल्लाह जिसने उन्हें पैदा किया वह उनसे ज़्यादा ताक़त वाला है और वह हमारी निशानियों का इंकार करते थे।.
Ayah 16
فَأَرْسَلْنَا So We sent عَلَيْهِمْ upon them رِيحًا a wind صَرْصَرًا furious فِىٓ in أَيَّامٍ (the) days نَّحِسَاتٍ (of) misfortune, لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ that We may make them taste عَذَابَ (the) punishment ٱلْخِزْىِ (of) disgrace فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world. وَلَعَذَابُ And surely, (the) punishment ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter أَخْزَىٰ (is) more disgracing, وَهُمْ and they لَا will not be helped. يُنصَرُونَ will not be helped.
English - So We sent upon them a screaming wind during days of misfortune to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped. .
हिंदी - तो हमने उन पर तेज़ हवा भेजी मनहूस दिनों में ताकि हम उनको दुनिया की जि़्ांदगी में ज़िल्लत के अज़ाब का मज़ा चखाएं और आख़िरत का अज़्ााब तो और भी ज़्ालील करने वाला है और उनकी मदद नहीं की जाएगी।.
Ayah 17
وَأَمَّا And as for ثَمُودُ Thamud, فَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْ We guided them, فَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟ but they preferred ٱلْعَمَىٰ [the] blindness عَلَى over ٱلْهُدَىٰ the guidance, فَأَخَذَتْهُمْ so seized them صَٰعِقَةُ a thunderbolt ٱلْعَذَابِ (of) the punishment ٱلْهُونِ humiliating, بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَكْسِبُونَ earn.
English - And as for Thamūd, We guided them, but they preferred blindness over guidance, so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn. .
हिंदी - और रहे समूद तो हम ने उनको सीधा रास्ता दिखाया लेकिन उन्होंने हिदायत के बदले अंधेपन को पसंद किया। तो उनकी करतूत के बदले जि़्ाल्लत वाले अज़्ााब के कड़के ने उन्हें पकड़ लिया।.
Ayah 18
وَنَجَّيْنَا And We saved ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed وَكَانُوا۟ and used to يَتَّقُونَ fear (Allah).
English - And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah. .
हिंदी - और हम ने उन्हें बचा लिया जो ईमान लाए और वह सतर्क रहते थे।.
Ayah 19
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يُحْشَرُ will be gathered أَعْدَآءُ (the) enemies ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah إِلَى to ٱلنَّارِ the Fire, فَهُمْ then they يُوزَعُونَ will be assembled in rows,
English - And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day when the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the Fire while they are [driven] assembled in rows, .
हिंदी - जिस दिन अल्लाह के दुशमनों को आग की तरफ़ हाँका जाएगा तो फिर उन्हें बांट दिया जाएगा।.
Ayah 20
حَتَّىٰٓ Until, إِذَا when مَا when جَآءُوهَا they come to it شَهِدَ (will) testify عَلَيْهِمْ against them سَمْعُهُمْ their hearing, وَأَبْصَٰرُهُمْ and their sight, وَجُلُودُهُم and their skins, بِمَا (as) to what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - Until, when they reach it, their hearing and their eyes and their skins will testify against them of what they used to do. .
हिंदी - यहाँ तक कि जब वह उसके पास पहुँचेंगे, उनके कान, उनकी आखें और उनकी खालें उनके ख़िलाफ़ उसकी गवाही देंगी जो वह किया करते थे।.
Ayah 21
وَقَالُوا۟ And they will say لِجُلُودِهِمْ to their skins, لِمَ "Why do شَهِدتُّمْ you testify عَلَيْنَا against us?" قَالُوٓا۟ They will say, أَنطَقَنَا "Allah made us speak, ٱللَّهُ "Allah made us speak, ٱلَّذِىٓ the One Who أَنطَقَ makes speak كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing; وَهُوَ and He خَلَقَكُمْ created you أَوَّلَ (the) first مَرَّةٍ time, وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned."
English - And they will say to their skins, "Why have you testified against us?" They will say, "We were made to speak by Allah, who has made everything speak; and He created you the first time, and to Him you are returned. .
हिंदी - और वह अपनी खालों से कहेंगे कि तुम ने हमारे ख़िलाफ़ गवाही क्यों दी। तो वह कहेंगे कि अल्लाह ने हमें बोलने की ताक़त दी जिसने हर चीज़्ा को बोलने की ताक़त दी और उसी ने तुम्हें पहली बार पैदा किया और उसी की तरफ़ तुम लौटाए जाओगे।.
Ayah 22
وَمَا And not كُنتُمْ you were تَسْتَتِرُونَ covering yourselves أَن lest يَشْهَدَ testify عَلَيْكُمْ against you سَمْعُكُمْ your hearing وَلَآ and not أَبْصَٰرُكُمْ your sight وَلَا and not جُلُودُكُمْ your skins, وَلَٰكِن but ظَنَنتُمْ you assumed أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَعْلَمُ know كَثِيرًا much مِّمَّا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do.
English - And you were not covering yourselves, lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do. .
हिंदी - और तुम छुपा नहीं सकते थे कि तुम्हारे कान, तुम्हारी आखें और तुम्हारी खालें तुम्हारे ख़िलाफ़ गवाही दें। लेकिन तुम ने सोच लिया कि अल्लाह वह बहुत से काम नहीं जानता जो तुम करते हो।.
Ayah 23
وَذَٰلِكُمْ And that ظَنُّكُمُ (was) your assumption ٱلَّذِى which ظَنَنتُم you assumed بِرَبِّكُمْ about your Lord. أَرْدَىٰكُمْ It has ruined you, فَأَصْبَحْتُم and you have become مِّنَ of ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ the losers.
English - And that was your assumption which you assumed about your Lord. It has brought you to ruin, and you have become among the losers." .
हिंदी - और तुम्हारी इसी सोच ने जो तुम ने अपने रब के साथ रखी, तुम्हें बर्बाद कर दिया। तो तुम घाटा उठाने वालों में से हो गए।.
Ayah 24
فَإِن Then if يَصْبِرُوا۟ they endure, فَٱلنَّارُ the Fire مَثْوًى (is) an abode لَّهُمْ for them; وَإِن and if يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟ they ask for favor, فَمَا then not هُم they مِّنَ (will be) of ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ those who receive favor.
English - So [even] if they are patient, the Fire is a residence for them; and if they ask to appease [Allah], they will not be of those who are allowed to appease. .
हिंदी - तो अगर वह सब्र करें तब भी आग ही उनका ठिकाना है और अगर वह माफ़ी चाहें तो उनको माफ़ नहीं किया जाएगा।.
Ayah 25
وَقَيَّضْنَا And We have destined لَهُمْ for them قُرَنَآءَ companions فَزَيَّنُوا۟ (who) made fair-seeming لَهُم to them, مَّا what بَيْنَ (was) before them أَيْدِيهِمْ (was) before them وَمَا and what خَلْفَهُمْ (was) behind them, وَحَقَّ and (is) justified عَلَيْهِمُ against them ٱلْقَوْلُ the Word فِىٓ among أُمَمٍ nations قَدْ (that have) passed away خَلَتْ (that have) passed away مِن before them قَبْلِهِم before them مِّنَ of ٱلْجِنِّ the jinn وَٱلْإِنسِ and the men. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were خَٰسِرِينَ losers.
English - And We appointed for them companions who made attractive to them what was before them and what was behind them [of sin], and the word has come into effect upon them among nations which had passed on before them of jinn and men. Indeed, they [all] were losers. .
हिंदी - और हम ने उन पर कुछ साथियों को तैनात कर दिया, तो उन्होंने उन के लिए अच्छा करके दिखा दिया जो कुछ उन के आगे और जो उन के पीछे था और जिनों और इंसानों के गिरोह जो उन से पहले गज़र चके थे उन पर भी बात सच हो गई, बेशक यह लोग घाटा उठाने वाले थे।.
Ayah 26
وَقَالَ And said ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve, لَا "(Do) not تَسْمَعُوا۟ listen لِهَٰذَا to this ٱلْقُرْءَانِ Quran, وَٱلْغَوْا۟ and make noise فِيهِ therein, لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَغْلِبُونَ overcome."
English - And those who disbelieve say, "Do not listen to this Qur’an and speak noisily during [the recitation of] it that perhaps you will overcome." .
हिंदी - और जिन्होंने इंकार किया, कहा कि इस क़ुरआन को मत सुनो और इस में हल्ला मचाओ, ताकि तुम हावी रहो।.
Ayah 27
فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ But surely We will cause to taste ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve عَذَابًا a punishment شَدِيدًا severe, وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ and surely We will recompense them أَسْوَأَ (the) worst ٱلَّذِى (of) what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - But We will surely cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe punishment, and We will surely recompense them for the worst of what they had been doing. .
हिंदी - तो हम ज़्ारूर इंकार करने वालों को भयानक अज़्ााब चखाएंगे और हम उनको उसका बहुत ही बुरा बदला देंगे जो वह किया करते थे।.
Ayah 28
ذَٰلِكَ That جَزَآءُ (is the) recompense أَعْدَآءِ (of the) enemies ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah - ٱلنَّارُ the Fire; لَهُمْ for them فِيهَا therein دَارُ (is the) home ٱلْخُلْدِ (of) the eternity جَزَآءًۢ (as) recompense بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used to, بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا of Our Verses, يَجْحَدُونَ reject.
English - That is the recompense of the enemies of Allah – the Fire. For them therein is the home of eternity as recompense for what they, of Our verses, were rejecting. .
हिंदी - यही अल्लाह के दुश्मनों का बदला है -आग- उनके लिए उस में हमेशा का ठिकाना है, बदला है उसका जो हमारी निशानियों को झुठलाते थे।.
Ayah 29
وَقَالَ And (will) say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve, رَبَّنَآ "Our Lord! أَرِنَا Show us ٱلَّذَيْنِ those who أَضَلَّانَا misled us مِنَ of ٱلْجِنِّ the jinn وَٱلْإِنسِ and the men, نَجْعَلْهُمَا (so) we may put them تَحْتَ under أَقْدَامِنَا our feet, لِيَكُونَا that they be مِنَ of ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ the lowest."
English - And those who disbelieved will [then] say, "Our Lord, show us those who misled us of the jinn and men [so] we may put them under our feet that they will be among the lowest." .
हिंदी - और जिन्होंने इंकार किया वह कहेंगे कि ऐ हमारे रब जिनों और इंसानों में से जिन लोगों ने हमें गुमराह किया हमें दिखा ताकि हम उनको अपने पाँव के नीचे रौंद डालंे ताकि वह ज़्ालील हों।.
Ayah 30
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who قَالُوا۟ say, رَبُّنَا "Our Lord, ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah," ثُمَّ then ٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟ stand firm - تَتَنَزَّلُ will descend عَلَيْهِمُ on them ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels, أَلَّا "(Do) not تَخَافُوا۟ fear, وَلَا and (do) not تَحْزَنُوا۟ grieve وَأَبْشِرُوا۟ but receive the glad tidings بِٱلْجَنَّةِ of Paradise ٱلَّتِى which كُنتُمْ you were تُوعَدُونَ promised.
English - Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah" and then remained on a right course – the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन्होंने कहा कि हमारा रब अल्लाह है और फिर डटे रहे, उन पर फ़रिश्ते उतरते हैं कि ना तुम डरो और ना ही ग़म करो और उस जन्नत में ख़ुशी मनाओ जिसका तुम से वादा किया जाता था।.
Ayah 31
نَحْنُ We أَوْلِيَآؤُكُمْ (are) your protectors فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world وَفِى and in ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ the Hereafter. وَلَكُمْ And for you فِيهَا therein مَا whatever تَشْتَهِىٓ desire أَنفُسُكُمْ your souls, وَلَكُمْ and for you فِيهَا therein مَا what تَدَّعُونَ you ask,
English - We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish] .
हिंदी - हम तुम्हारे साथी हैं दुनिया की जि़्ांदगी में और आख़िरत में भी और तुम्हारे लिए उस में वह है जो तुम्हारा जी चाहे और तुम्हारे लिए उस में वह है जो तुम मांगोगे।.
Ayah 32
نُزُلًا A hospitable gift مِّنْ from غَفُورٍ (the) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٍ (the) Most Merciful."
English - As accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful." .
हिंदी - मेहमानी है माफ़ करने वाले मेहरबान की तरफ़ से।.
Ayah 33
وَمَنْ And who أَحْسَنُ (is) better قَوْلًا (in) speech مِّمَّن than (one) who دَعَآ invites إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah وَعَمِلَ and does صَٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) وَقَالَ and says, إِنَّنِى "Indeed, I am مِنَ of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ those who submit?"
English - And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." .
हिंदी - और उस से अच्छी किसकी बात होगी जो अल्लाह की तरफ़ बुलाए और नेकी करे और कहे कि बेशक मैं झुकने वालों में से हूँ।.
Ayah 34
وَلَا And not تَسْتَوِى (are) equal ٱلْحَسَنَةُ the good (deed) وَلَا and ٱلسَّيِّئَةُ the evil (deed). ٱدْفَعْ Repel بِٱلَّتِى by (that) which هِىَ [it] أَحْسَنُ (is) better; فَإِذَا then behold! ٱلَّذِى One who, بَيْنَكَ between you وَبَيْنَهُۥ and between him, عَدَٰوَةٌ (was) enmity, كَأَنَّهُۥ (will become) as if he وَلِىٌّ (was) a friend حَمِيمٌ intimate.
English - And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend. .
हिंदी - और अच्छाई और बुराई बराबर नहीं हो सकती, जवाब दो उस तरीक़े से जो सबसे अच्छा हो। तो तुम अचानक देखोगे कि जो तुम्हारे और उसके बीच दुश्मनी थी वह ऐसा हो गया जैसे वह जिगरी दोस्त हो।.
Ayah 35
وَمَا And not يُلَقَّىٰهَآ it is granted إِلَّا except ٱلَّذِينَ (to) those who صَبَرُوا۟ (are) patient وَمَا and not يُلَقَّىٰهَآ it is granted إِلَّا except ذُو (to the) owner حَظٍّ (of) fortune عَظِيمٍ great.
English - But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good]. .
हिंदी - और यह नहीं दिया जाता मगर उनको जिन्होंने सब्र किया और यह नहीं दिया जाता मगर बड़े नसीब वाले को।.
Ayah 36
وَإِمَّا And if يَنزَغَنَّكَ whisper comes to you مِنَ from ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ the Shaitaan, نَزْغٌ an evil suggestion, فَٱسْتَعِذْ then seek refuge بِٱللَّهِ in Allah. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He هُوَ [He] ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer, ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower.
English - And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - और अगर शैतान की तरफ़ से तुम्हें कोई कचोका लगे तो अल्लाह की पनाह चाहो, बेशक वह सुनने वाला, जानने वाला है।.
Ayah 37
وَمِنْ And of ءَايَٰتِهِ His Signs ٱلَّيْلُ (are) the night وَٱلنَّهَارُ and the day وَٱلشَّمْسُ and the sun وَٱلْقَمَرُ and the moon. لَا (Do) not تَسْجُدُوا۟ prostrate لِلشَّمْسِ to the sun وَلَا and not لِلْقَمَرِ to the moon, وَٱسْجُدُوا۟ but prostrate لِلَّهِ to Allah ٱلَّذِى the One Who خَلَقَهُنَّ created them, إِن if كُنتُمْ you, إِيَّاهُ Him alone, تَعْبُدُونَ worship.
English - And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship. .
हिंदी - और उसकी निशानियों में से रात, दिन, सूरज और चाँद हैं। सूरज को सजदा मत करो और ना ही चाँद को बल्कि उस अल्लाह को सजदा करो जिसने उन सब को पैदा किया अगर तुम उसी की पूजा करते हो।.
Ayah 38
فَإِنِ But if ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ they are arrogant, فَٱلَّذِينَ then those who عِندَ (are) near رَبِّكَ your Lord, يُسَبِّحُونَ glorify لَهُۥ Him بِٱلَّيْلِ by night وَٱلنَّهَارِ and day. وَهُمْ And they لَا (do) not يَسْـَٔمُونَ tire.
English - But if they are arrogant – then those who are near your Lord exalt Him by night and by day, and they do not become weary. .
हिंदी - फिर अगर वह घमंड करंे तो जो तुम्हारे रब के पास हैं वह दिन और रात उसकी महिमा करते हैं और वह थकते नहीं।.
Ayah 39
وَمِنْ And among ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ His Signs أَنَّكَ (is) that you تَرَى see ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth خَٰشِعَةً barren, فَإِذَآ but when أَنزَلْنَا We send down عَلَيْهَا upon it ٱلْمَآءَ water ٱهْتَزَّتْ it is stirred (to life) وَرَبَتْ and grows. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِىٓ the One Who أَحْيَاهَا gives it life, لَمُحْىِ (is) surely the Giver of life ٱلْمَوْتَىٰٓ (to) the dead. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He عَلَىٰ (is) on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ All-Powerful.
English - And of His signs is that you see the earth stilled, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and grows. Indeed, He who has given it life is the Giver of Life to the dead. Indeed, He is over all things competent. .
हिंदी - और उसी की निशानियों में से है कि तुम ज़्ामीन को मुरझाई हुई देखोगे तो जब हम उस पर बारिश बरसाते हैं तो वह खिल उठती है और बढ़ने लगती है। बेशक जिसने ज़्ामीन को जि़्ांदा किया, मुर्दाें को भी जि़्ांदा करने वाला है। बेशक वह हर चीज़्ा पर ताक़त रखता है।.
Ayah 40
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُلْحِدُونَ distort فِىٓ [in] ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Verses لَا (are) not يَخْفَوْنَ hidden عَلَيْنَآ from Us. أَفَمَن So, is (he) who يُلْقَىٰ is cast فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire خَيْرٌ better أَم or مَّن (he) who يَأْتِىٓ comes ءَامِنًا secure يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) Resurrection? ٱعْمَلُوا۟ Do مَا what شِئْتُمْ you will. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do بَصِيرٌ (is) All-Seer.
English - Indeed, those who inject deviation into Our verses are not concealed from Us. So, is he who is cast into the Fire better or he who comes secure on the Day of Resurrection? Do whatever you will; indeed, He is Seeing of what you do. .
हिंदी - बेशक जो हमारी आयतों में हेर फेर करते हैं वह हम से छुपे हुए नहीं हैं। क्या जो आग में डाला जाएगा वह अच्छा है या जो क़यामत के दिन बेखौफ़ आए? जो चाहे करो, बेशक वह देख रहा है जो तुम करते हो।.
Ayah 41
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve بِٱلذِّكْرِ in the Reminder لَمَّا when جَآءَهُمْ it comes to them. وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it لَكِتَٰبٌ (is) surely a Book عَزِيزٌ mighty.
English - Indeed, those who disbelieve in the message after it has come to them… And indeed, it is a mighty Book. .
हिंदी - बेशक जिन्होंने नसीहत का इंकार किया जब वह उनके पास आ गयी और बेशक यह एक ज़्ाबरदस्त किताब है।.
Ayah 42
لَّا Not يَأْتِيهِ comes to it ٱلْبَٰطِلُ the falsehood مِنۢ from بَيْنِ before it يَدَيْهِ before it وَلَا and not مِنْ from خَلْفِهِۦ behind it. تَنزِيلٌ A Revelation مِّنْ from حَكِيمٍ (the) All-Wise, حَمِيدٍ (the) Praiseworthy.
English - Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy. .
हिंदी - झूठ इस में न उसके आगे से आ सकता है और ना ही उसके पीछे से। ख़ूबियों वाले, हिकमत वाले की तरफ़ से उतरी है।.
Ayah 43
مَّا Not يُقَالُ is said لَكَ to you إِلَّا except مَا what قَدْ was said قِيلَ was said لِلرُّسُلِ to the Messengers مِن before you. قَبْلِكَ before you. إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord لَذُو (is) Possessor مَغْفِرَةٍ (of) forgiveness, وَذُو and Possessor عِقَابٍ (of) penalty أَلِيمٍ painful.
English - Nothing is said to you, [O Muhammad], except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is a possessor of forgiveness and a possessor of painful penalty. .
हिंदी - तुम से बस वही बात कही जाती है जो तुमसे पहले रसूलों से कही गई। बेशक तुम्हारा रब माफ़ करने वाला और दर्दनाक अज़्ााब देने वाला है।.
Ayah 44
وَلَوْ And if جَعَلْنَٰهُ We (had) made it قُرْءَانًا a Quran أَعْجَمِيًّا (in) a foreign (language), لَّقَالُوا۟ they (would have) said, لَوْلَا "Why not فُصِّلَتْ are explained in detail ءَايَٰتُهُۥٓ its verses? ءَا۬عْجَمِىٌّ (Is it) a foreign (language) وَعَرَبِىٌّ and an Arab?" قُلْ Say, هُوَ "It (is) لِلَّذِينَ for those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, هُدًى a guidance وَشِفَآءٌ and a healing." وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe, فِىٓ in ءَاذَانِهِمْ their ears وَقْرٌ (is) deafness, وَهُوَ and it عَلَيْهِمْ (is) for them عَمًى blindness. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those يُنَادَوْنَ are being called مِن from مَّكَانٍۭ a place بَعِيدٍ far."
English - And if We had made it a non-Arabic Qur’an, they would have said, "Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?" Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure." And those who do not believe – in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place. .
हिंदी - और अगर हम इसको दूसरी ज़्ाबान का क़ुरान बनाते तो वह ज़्ारूर कहते कि इसकी आयतें साफ़ साफ़ क्यों नहीं बताई र्गइं। क्या बाहरी ज़्ाबान और अरबी लोग? कह दो वह मानने वालों के लिए हिदायत और इलाज है और जो नहीं मानते उनके कानों में बहरापन है और वह उनके लिए अंधापन है और उन्हें दूर की जगह से पुकारा जा रहा है।.
Ayah 45
وَلَقَدْ And certainly, ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book, فَٱخْتُلِفَ but disputes arose فِيهِ therein. وَلَوْلَا And had it not been كَلِمَةٌ (for) a word سَبَقَتْ (that) preceded مِن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord, لَقُضِىَ surely, would have been settled بَيْنَهُمْ between them. وَإِنَّهُمْ But indeed, they لَفِى surely (are) in شَكٍّ doubt مِّنْهُ about it مُرِيبٍ disquieting.
English - And We had already given Moses the Scripture, but it came under disagreement. And if not for a word that preceded from your Lord, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed they are, concerning the Qur’an, in disquieting doubt. .
हिंदी - और हमने मूसा को किताब दी तो फिर उसमें विवाद किया गया और अगर तुम्हारे रब की तरफ़ से एक बात तय ना होती तो उनके बीच जरूर फ़ैसला कर दिया जाता और वह उसकी तरफ़ से गहरे शक में हैं।.
Ayah 46
مَّنْ Whoever عَمِلَ does صَٰلِحًا righteous deeds فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ then it is for his soul; وَمَنْ and whoever أَسَآءَ does evil, فَعَلَيْهَا then it is against it. وَمَا And not رَبُّكَ (is) your Lord بِظَلَّٰمٍ unjust لِّلْعَبِيدِ to His slaves.
English - Whoever does righteousness – it is for his [own] soul; and whoever does evil [does so] against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to [His] servants. .
हिंदी - जो नेकी करेगा तो वह अपने लिए करेगा और जो बुराई करेगा तो वह उसी पर है और तेरा रब बंदांे पर ज़्ाुल्म करने वाला नहीं।.
Ayah 47
إِلَيْهِ To Him يُرَدُّ is referred عِلْمُ (the) knowledge ٱلسَّاعَةِ (of) the Hour. وَمَا And not تَخْرُجُ comes out مِن any ثَمَرَٰتٍ fruits مِّنْ from أَكْمَامِهَا their coverings, وَمَا and not تَحْمِلُ bears مِنْ any أُنثَىٰ female وَلَا and not تَضَعُ gives birth إِلَّا except بِعِلْمِهِۦ with His knowledge. وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يُنَادِيهِمْ He will call them, أَيْنَ "Where (are) شُرَكَآءِى My partners?" قَالُوٓا۟ They will say, ءَاذَنَّٰكَ "We announce (to) You, مَا not مِنَّا among us مِن any شَهِيدٍ witness."
English - To him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners’?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]." .
हिंदी - उसी की तरफ़ क़यामत की जानकारी लौटती है और कोई फल अपने ख़ोल से नहीं निकलता और ना कोई मादा पेट से होती है और न वह जनती है मगर उसी के इल्म से और जिस दिन वह उन्हें पुकारेगा कि कहाँ हैं मेरे साझी? वह कहेंगे कि हमने तुझे बता दिया कि हम में से कोई गवाह नहीं है।.
Ayah 48
وَضَلَّ And lost عَنْهُم from them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they were يَدْعُونَ invoking مِن before, قَبْلُ before, وَظَنُّوا۟ and they (will) be certain مَا (that) not لَهُم for them مِّن any مَّحِيصٍ place of escape.
English - And lost from them will be those they were invoking before, and they will be certain that they have no place of escape. .
हिंदी - और वह उनसे ग़ायब हो जाएंगे जिन्हें वह इस से पहले पुकारा करते थे और जान लेंगे कि उनके लिए कोई छुटकारा नहीं।.
Ayah 49
لَّا (Does) not يَسْـَٔمُ get tired ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ man مِن of دُعَآءِ praying ٱلْخَيْرِ (for) the good, وَإِن but if مَّسَّهُ touches him ٱلشَّرُّ the evil فَيَـُٔوسٌ then he gives up hope قَنُوطٌ (and) despairs.
English - Man is not weary of supplication for good [things], but if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing. .
हिंदी - इंसान भलाई की दुआ मांगने से नहीं थकता और अगर उस पर मुुसीबत आती है तो वह मायूस और नाउम्मीद हो जाता है।.
Ayah 50
وَلَئِنْ And verily, if أَذَقْنَٰهُ We let him taste رَحْمَةً mercy مِّنَّا from Us مِنۢ after بَعْدِ after ضَرَّآءَ an adversity مَسَّتْهُ (has) touched him, لَيَقُولَنَّ he will surely say, هَٰذَا "This (is) لِى (due) to me وَمَآ and not أَظُنُّ I think ٱلسَّاعَةَ the Hour قَآئِمَةً (will be) established, وَلَئِن and if رُّجِعْتُ I am returned إِلَىٰ to رَبِّىٓ my Lord, إِنَّ indeed, لِى for me عِندَهُۥ with Him لَلْحُسْنَىٰ (will be) the best." فَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّ But We will surely inform ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved بِمَا about what عَمِلُوا۟ they did, وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم and We will surely make them taste مِّنْ of عَذَابٍ a punishment غَلِيظٍ severe.
English - And if We let him taste mercy from Us after an adversity which has touched him, he will surely say, "This is [due] to me, and I do not think the Hour will occur; and [even] if I should be returned to my Lord, indeed, for me there will be with Him the best." But We will surely inform those who disbelieved about what they did, and We will surely make them taste a massive punishment. .
हिंदी - और अगर परेशानी पहुँचने के बाद हम उसे मेहरबानी का मज़्ाा चखाते हैं तो कहता है कि यह तो मेरे ही लिए है और मुझे नहीं लगता कि क़यामत आएगी और अगर मुझे मेरे रब के पास लौटाया भी जाए तो बेशक उसके पास भी मेरे लिए भलाई ही है। तो हम काफ़िरों को ज़रूर बताएंगे जो वह किया करते थे और हम उन्हें ज़रूर भयानक अज़्ााब का मज़्ाा चखाएंगे।.
Ayah 51
وَإِذَآ And when أَنْعَمْنَا We bestow favor عَلَى upon ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ man, أَعْرَضَ he turns away - وَنَـَٔا and distances himself; بِجَانِبِهِۦ and distances himself; وَإِذَا but when مَسَّهُ touches him ٱلشَّرُّ the evil, فَذُو then (he is) full دُعَآءٍ (of) supplication عَرِيضٍ lengthy.
English - And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication. .
हिंदी - और जब हम इंसान पर इनाम करते हैं तो वह मुँह फेर लेता है और ख़ुद को दूर कर लेता है और जब मुसीबत आती है तो लम्बी लम्बी दुआएं करने लगता है।.
Ayah 52
قُلْ Say, أَرَءَيْتُمْ "You see - إِن if كَانَ it is مِنْ from عِندِ from ٱللَّهِ Allah ثُمَّ then كَفَرْتُم you disbelieve بِهِۦ in it, مَنْ who أَضَلُّ (is) more astray مِمَّنْ than (one) who - هُوَ he فِى (is) in شِقَاقٍۭ opposition بَعِيدٍ far?"
English - Say, "Have you considered: if the Qur’an is from Allah and you disbelieved in it, who would be more astray than one who is in extreme dissension?" .
हिंदी - कह दो कि तुम्हारा क्या ख़याल है? अगर वह अल्लाह की तरफ़ से हो फिर भी तुम उसका इंकार करो तो उस से बढ़कर गुमराह कौन होगा जो दूर के इख़तिलाफ़ में है।.
Ayah 53
سَنُرِيهِمْ Soon We will show them ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Signs فِى in ٱلْءَافَاقِ the horizons وَفِىٓ and in أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves حَتَّىٰ until يَتَبَيَّنَ becomes clear لَهُمْ to them, أَنَّهُ that it ٱلْحَقُّ (is) the truth. أَوَلَمْ Is (it) not يَكْفِ sufficient بِرَبِّكَ concerning your Lord, أَنَّهُۥ that He عَلَىٰ (is) over كُلِّ all شَىْءٍ things شَهِيدٌ a Witness?
English - We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness? .
हिंदी - जल्द ही हम उन्हें अपनी निशानियाँ दिखाएंगे दुनिया में और उनकी जानों में भी। यहाँ तक कि उनके सामने ज़्ााहिर हो जाएगा कि वही सच है। क्या तुम्हारा रब काफ़ी नहीं है कि वह हर चीज़्ा पर गवाह है?.
Ayah 54
أَلَآ Unquestionably, إِنَّهُمْ they فِى (are) in مِرْيَةٍ doubt مِّن about لِّقَآءِ (the) meeting رَبِّهِمْ (with) their Lord? أَلَآ Unquestionably, إِنَّهُۥ indeed, He بِكُلِّ (is) of all شَىْءٍ things مُّحِيطٌۢ encompassing.
English - Unquestionably, they are in doubt about the meeting with their Lord. Unquestionably He is, of all things, encompassing. .
हिंदी - सुन लो बेशक उन्हें अपने रब से मुलाक़ात में शक है। सुन लो बेशक वह हर चीज़्ा को घेरे हुए है।.
