Ayah 1
الٓمٓ Alif Laam Meem.
English - Alif, Lam, Meem .
हिंदी - अलिफ़ लाम मीम।.
Ayah 2
أَحَسِبَ Do think ٱلنَّاسُ the people أَن that يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ they will be left أَن because يَقُولُوٓا۟ they say, ءَامَنَّا "We believe" وَهُمْ and they لَا will not be tested? يُفْتَنُونَ will not be tested?
English - Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried? .
हिंदी - क्या लोगों ने समझ लिया है कि वह (सिर्फ़) कहने से छोड़ दिए जाएंगे कि हम ईमान लाए और उन्हें आज़्ामाया नहीं जाएगा?.
Ayah 3
وَلَقَدْ And indeed, فَتَنَّا We tested ٱلَّذِينَ those who مِن (were) before them. قَبْلِهِمْ (were) before them. فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ And Allah will surely make evident ٱللَّهُ And Allah will surely make evident ٱلَّذِينَ those who صَدَقُوا۟ (are) truthful وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ and He will surely make evident ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ the liars.
English - But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. .
हिंदी - और हम उन्हें आज़्ामा चुके जो उनसे पहले थे तो अल्लाह को यक़ीनन मालूम है जो सच्चा है और अल्लाह ज़्ारूर जानता है झूठों को।.
Ayah 4
أَمْ Or حَسِبَ think ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَعْمَلُونَ do ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ evil deeds أَن that يَسْبِقُونَا they can outrun Us. سَآءَ Evil is مَا what يَحْكُمُونَ they judge.
English - Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun Us? Evil is what they judge. .
हिंदी - या जो बराइयाँ करते हैं, समझते हैं कि वह हम से आगे निकल जाएंगे, बहुत बुरा है जो वह फ़ैसला करते हैं।.
Ayah 5
مَن Whoever كَانَ [is] يَرْجُوا۟ hopes لِقَآءَ (for the) meeting ٱللَّهِ (with) Allah, فَإِنَّ then indeed, أَجَلَ (the) Term ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah لَءَاتٍ (is) surely coming. وَهُوَ And He ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer, ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower.
English - Whoever should hope for the meeting with Allah – indeed, the term decreed by Allah is coming. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - जो अल्लाह से मिलने की उम्मीद रखता हो तो बेशक अल्लाह का (तय किया हुआ) वक़्त आने ही वाला है और वह ख़ूब सुनने वाला, बहुत जानने वाला है।.
Ayah 6
وَمَن And whoever جَٰهَدَ strives فَإِنَّمَا then only يُجَٰهِدُ he strives لِنَفْسِهِۦٓ for himself. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَغَنِىٌّ (is) Free from need عَنِ of ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ the worlds.
English - And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds. .
हिंदी - और जो कोशिश करता है तो वह ख़ुद के लिए ही कोशिश करता है, बेशक अल्लाह तमाम दुनिया से बेपरवाह है।.
Ayah 7
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous (deeds), لَنُكَفِّرَنَّ surely, We will remove عَنْهُمْ from them سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ their evil deeds, وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ and We will surely reward them أَحْسَنَ (the) best ٱلَّذِى (of) what كَانُوا۟ they used يَعْمَلُونَ (to) do.
English - And those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do. .
हिंदी - और जो ईमान लाए और नेक अमल करते रहे हम ज़रूर उन से उनकी बुराइयों को मिटा देंगे और हम उन्हें ज़रूर उसका बेहतरीन बदला देंगे जो वह किया करते थे।.
Ayah 8
وَوَصَّيْنَا And We have enjoined ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ (on) man بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ goodness to his parents, حُسْنًا goodness to his parents, وَإِن but if جَٰهَدَاكَ they both strive against you لِتُشْرِكَ to make you associate بِى with Me مَا what لَيْسَ not لَكَ you have بِهِۦ of it عِلْمٌ any knowledge, فَلَا then (do) not تُطِعْهُمَآ obey both of them. إِلَىَّ To Me مَرْجِعُكُمْ (is) your return, فَأُنَبِّئُكُم and I will inform you بِمَا about what كُنتُمْ you used تَعْمَلُونَ (to) do.
English - And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do. .
हिंदी - और हमने इंसान को उसके माँ बाप के सिलसिले में भलाई की ताकीद की और अगर वह दोनोें तुम पर दबाव डालें कि तुम मेरे साथ उसे साझी ठहराओ जिसका तुम्हें कोई इल्म नहीं, तो तुम उन दोनो की बात मत मानना, मेरे पास ही तुम्हारी वापसी है फिर मैं तुम्हें बतऊँगा, जो तुम किया करते थे।.
Ayah 9
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous deeds لَنُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ We will surely admit them فِى among ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous.
English - And those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise]. .
हिंदी - और जो ईमान लाए और नेक अमल करते रहे, हम उन्हें ज़रूर नेक लोगों में दाख़िल करेंगे।.
Ayah 10
وَمِنَ And of ٱلنَّاسِ the people مَن (is he) who يَقُولُ says, ءَامَنَّا "We believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah." فَإِذَآ But when أُوذِىَ he is harmed فِى in ٱللَّهِ (the Way of) Allah جَعَلَ he considers فِتْنَةَ (the) trial ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people كَعَذَابِ as (the) punishment ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. وَلَئِن But if جَآءَ comes نَصْرٌ victory مِّن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord, لَيَقُولُنَّ surely they say, إِنَّا "Indeed, we كُنَّا were مَعَكُمْ with you." أَوَلَيْسَ Is not ٱللَّهُ Allah بِأَعْلَمَ most knowing بِمَا of what فِى (is) in صُدُورِ (the) breasts ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds?
English - And of the people are some who say, “We believe in Allah,” but when one [of them] is harmed for [the cause of] Allah, they consider the trial of the people as [if it were] the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say, “Indeed, We were with you.” Is not Allah most knowing of what is within the breasts of all creatures? .
हिंदी - और कुछ लोग कहते हैं कि हम अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए फिर जब अल्लाह (के रास्ते में) तकलीफ़ दी जाती है तो वह लोगों की आज़्ामाइश को अल्लाह के अज़्ााब की तरह बना लेते हैं और अगर तुम्हारे रब की तरफ़ से कोई मदद आती है तो वह ज़रूर कहेंगे कि हम तुम्हारे साथ थे, क्या अल्लाह उसके बारे में सबसे बेहतर जानने वाला नहीं है जो जहानों के सीनों में है।.
Ayah 11
وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ And Allah will surely make evident ٱللَّهُ And Allah will surely make evident ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ And He will surely make evident ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ the hypocrites.
English - And Allah will surely make evident those who believe, and He will surely make evident the hypocrites. .
हिंदी - और अल्लाह उन्हें ज़रूर जान लेगा जो ईमान लाए और वह मुनाफ़िक़ों को (भी) ज़रूर जान लेगा।.
Ayah 12
وَقَالَ And said, ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve لِلَّذِينَ to those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe, ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ "Follow سَبِيلَنَا our way, وَلْنَحْمِلْ and we will carry خَطَٰيَٰكُمْ your sins." وَمَا But not هُم they بِحَٰمِلِينَ (are) going to carry مِنْ of خَطَٰيَٰهُم their sins مِّن any شَىْءٍ thing. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they لَكَٰذِبُونَ (are) surely liars.
English - And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, “Follow our way, and we will carry your sins.” But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars. .
हिंदी - और इंकार करने वाले ईमान वालों से कहते हैं “मेरे रास्ते पर चलो और हम तुम्हारे गुनाहों को ढ़ो लेंगे, जबकि वह उनके गुनाहों में से कुछ भी उठाने वाले नहीं हैं, बेशक वह झूठे हैं।.
Ayah 13
وَلَيَحْمِلُنَّ But surely they will carry أَثْقَالَهُمْ their burdens وَأَثْقَالًا and burdens مَّعَ with أَثْقَالِهِمْ their burdens, وَلَيُسْـَٔلُنَّ and surely they will be questioned يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection عَمَّا about what كَانُوا۟ they used يَفْتَرُونَ (to) invent.
English - But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent. .
हिंदी - और वह ज़रूर अपने बोझ उठाएंगे और अपने बोझ के साथ कई और बोझ और क़यामत के दिन उन से उसके बारे में ज़्ारूर पूछा जाएगा जो वह गढ़ा करते थे।.
Ayah 14
وَلَقَدْ And verily, أَرْسَلْنَا We sent نُوحًا Nuh إِلَىٰ to قَوْمِهِۦ his people, فَلَبِثَ and he remained فِيهِمْ among them أَلْفَ a thousand سَنَةٍ year(s), إِلَّا save خَمْسِينَ fifty عَامًا year(s), فَأَخَذَهُمُ then seized them ٱلطُّوفَانُ the flood, وَهُمْ while they ظَٰلِمُونَ (were) wrongdoers.
English - And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers. .
हिंदी - और यक़ीनन हम ने नूह को उसकी क़ौम की तरफ़ भेजा तो वह उनमें साढ़े नौ सौ साल रहा फिर तूफ़ान ने उन्हें आ पकड़ा और वह जुल्म करने वाले थे।.
Ayah 15
فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ But We saved him وَأَصْحَٰبَ and (the) people ٱلسَّفِينَةِ (of) the ship, وَجَعَلْنَٰهَآ and We made it ءَايَةً a Sign لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ for the worlds.
English - But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds. .
हिंदी - फिर हम ने उसे और नाव वालों को बचा लिया और हम ने उसे एक निशानी बना डाला तमाम दुनिया के लिए।.
Ayah 16
وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ And Ibrahim - إِذْ when قَالَ he said لِقَوْمِهِ to his people, ٱعْبُدُوا۟ "Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah وَٱتَّقُوهُ and fear Him. ذَٰلِكُمْ That خَيْرٌ (is) better لَّكُمْ for you إِن if كُنتُمْ you تَعْلَمُونَ know.
English - And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know. .
हिंदी - और इब्राहीम को जब उसने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि अल्लाह की इबादत करो और उसका डर रखो, यही तुम्हारे लिए बेहतर है अगर तुम जानते हो।.
Ayah 17
إِنَّمَا Only تَعْبُدُونَ you worship مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah أَوْثَٰنًا idols, وَتَخْلُقُونَ and you create إِفْكًا falsehood. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those whom تَعْبُدُونَ you worship مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah لَا (do) not يَمْلِكُونَ possess لَكُمْ for you رِزْقًا any provision. فَٱبْتَغُوا۟ So seek عِندَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱلرِّزْقَ the provision وَٱعْبُدُوهُ and worship Him وَٱشْكُرُوا۟ and be grateful لَهُۥٓ to Him. إِلَيْهِ To Him تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned.
English - You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned.” .
हिंदी - बेशक तुम अल्लाह को छोड़ कर कुछ मूर्तियों को पूजते हो और झूठ गढ़ते हो। बेशक जो अल्लाह को छोड़ कर इबादत करते हैं वह तुम्हारे लिए किसी रोज़्ाी के मालिक नहीं हैं तो अल्लाह के पास ही रिज़्क़ तलाश करो और उसकी इबादत करो और उसका एहसान मानो, उसी की तरफ़ तुम लोग लौटाए जाओगे।.
Ayah 18
وَإِن And if تُكَذِّبُوا۟ you deny فَقَدْ then verily, كَذَّبَ denied أُمَمٌ (the) nations مِّن before you. قَبْلِكُمْ before you. وَمَا And not عَلَى (is) on ٱلرَّسُولِ the Messenger إِلَّا except ٱلْبَلَٰغُ the conveyance ٱلْمُبِينُ clear."
English - And if you [people] deny [the message] – already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification. .
हिंदी - और अगर तुम झुठलाते हो तो तुम से पहले कई क़ौम झुठला चुके और रसूल पर नहीं है मगर साफ़ साफ़ पहुंचा देना।.
Ayah 19
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see كَيْفَ how يُبْدِئُ Allah originates ٱللَّهُ Allah originates ٱلْخَلْقَ the creation ثُمَّ then يُعِيدُهُۥٓ repeats it? إِنَّ Indeed, ذَٰلِكَ that عَلَى for ٱللَّهِ Allah يَسِيرٌ (is) easy.
English - Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy. .
हिंदी - क्या उन्होंने नहीं देखा कि कैसे अल्लाह पैदाइश की शुरुआत करता है फिर उसे लौटाता है, बेशक अल्लाह पर यह बहुत आसान है।.
Ayah 20
قُلْ Say, سِيرُوا۟ "Travel فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth فَٱنظُرُوا۟ and see كَيْفَ how بَدَأَ He originated ٱلْخَلْقَ the creation, ثُمَّ Then ٱللَّهُ Allah يُنشِئُ will produce ٱلنَّشْأَةَ the creation ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ the last. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلَىٰ on كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرٌ (is) All-Powerful."
English - Say, [O Muhammad], “Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent.” .
हिंदी - कह दो कि तुम ज़्ामीन में चलो फिरो, फिर ग़ौर करो कि कैसे उसने पैदाइश की शुरुआत की, फिर अल्लाह उठाएगा आख़िरी उठान। बेशक अल्लाह हर चीज़्ा पर ख़ूब ताक़त रखने वाला है।.
Ayah 21
يُعَذِّبُ He punishes مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَرْحَمُ and has mercy مَن (on) whom يَشَآءُ He wills, وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him تُقْلَبُونَ you will be returned.
English - He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned. .
हिंदी - वह जिसे चाहे अज़्ााब देता है और रहम करता है जिस पर चाहे और उसी की तरफ़ तुम लोग पलटाए जाओगे।.
Ayah 22
وَمَآ And not أَنتُم you بِمُعْجِزِينَ can escape فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَلَا and not فِى in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven. وَمَا And not لَكُم for you مِّن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah مِن any وَلِىٍّ protector وَلَا and not نَصِيرٍ a helper.
English - And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth or in the heaven. And you have not other than Allah any protector or any helper. .
हिंदी - और तुम लोग ज़मीन में बेबस करने वाले नहीं और ना ही आसमान में और तुम्हारे लिए नहीं है अल्लाह के सिवा कोई भी दोस्त और ना ही कोई मददगार।.
Ayah 23
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve بِـَٔايَٰتِ in (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah وَلِقَآئِهِۦٓ and (the) meeting (with) Him, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those يَئِسُوا۟ (have) despaired مِن of رَّحْمَتِى My Mercy. وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ And those, لَهُمْ for them عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment أَلِيمٌ painful.
English - And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him – those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment. .
हिंदी - और जिन्होंने अल्लाह की निशानियों का और उसकी मुलाक़ात का इंकार किया वह लोग मेरी रहमत से मायूस हो गए और उन्हीं लोगों के लिए एक बड़ा दर्दनाक अज़्ााब है।.
Ayah 24
فَمَا And not كَانَ was جَوَابَ (the) answer قَوْمِهِۦٓ (of) his people إِلَّآ except أَن that قَالُوا۟ they said, ٱقْتُلُوهُ "Kill him أَوْ or حَرِّقُوهُ burn him." فَأَنجَىٰهُ But Allah saved him ٱللَّهُ But Allah saved him مِنَ from ٱلنَّارِ the fire. إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that, لَءَايَٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يُؤْمِنُونَ who believe.
English - And the answer of Abraham’s people was not but that they said, “Kill him or burn him,” but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. .
हिंदी - तो उसकी क़ौम का जवाब इसके सिवा कुछ ना था कि उन्होंने कहा कि उसे क़त्ल कर दो या उसे जला दो, फिर अल्लाह ने उसे आग से बचा लिया, बेशक इस में निशानियाँ हैं उन लोगों के लिए जो ईमान रखते हैं।.
Ayah 25
وَقَالَ And he said, إِنَّمَا "Only ٱتَّخَذْتُم you have taken مِّن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah أَوْثَٰنًا idols مَّوَدَّةَ (out of) love بَيْنِكُمْ among you فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world. ثُمَّ Then يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection يَكْفُرُ you will deny بَعْضُكُم one another بِبَعْضٍ one another وَيَلْعَنُ and curse بَعْضُكُم one another, بَعْضًا one another, وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ and your abode ٱلنَّارُ (will be) the Fire وَمَا and not لَكُم for you مِّن any نَّٰصِرِينَ helpers."
English - And [Abraham] said, “You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers.” .
हिंदी - और उसने कहा कि बेशक तुम ने दुनिया की ज़िंदगी में अल्लाह को छोड़ कर अपने बीच कई मूर्तियों को मुहब्बत का ज़रिया बना लिया, फिर क़यामत के दिन तुम एक दूसरे का इंकार करोगे और एक दूसरे को कोसोगे और तुम्हारा ठिकाना आग है और तुम्हारे लिए नहीं है मददगारों में से कोई भी।.
Ayah 26
فَـَٔامَنَ And believed لَهُۥ [in] him لُوطٌ Lut, وَقَالَ and he said, إِنِّى "Indeed I (am) مُهَاجِرٌ emigrating إِلَىٰ to رَبِّىٓ my Lord. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He هُوَ [He] (is) ٱلْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise."
English - And Lot believed him. [Abraham] said, “Indeed, I will emigrate to [the service of] my Lord. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.” .
हिंदी - तो लूत उस पर ईमान लाया और और उसने कहा कि मैं हिज़रत करने वाला हूँ अपने रब की तरफ़, बेशक वही है बड़ा ज़्ाबरदस्त, ख़ूब सूझ बूझ वाला।.
Ayah 27
وَوَهَبْنَا And We granted لَهُۥٓ to him إِسْحَٰقَ Isaac وَيَعْقُوبَ and Yaqub وَجَعَلْنَا and We placed فِى in ذُرِّيَّتِهِ his offsprings ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ the Prophethood وَٱلْكِتَٰبَ and the Book. وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ And We gave him أَجْرَهُۥ his reward فِى in ٱلدُّنْيَا the world. وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, he فِى in ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ the Hereafter لَمِنَ (is) surely, among ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous.
English - And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous. .
हिंदी - और हम ने उसे इसहाक़ और याक़ूब अता किए और हम ने उसकी औलाद में नुबुव्वत रखी और किताब और हम ने उसे उसका बदला दुनिया में दे दिया और बेशक वह आख़िरत में नेक लोगों में से होगा।.
Ayah 28
وَلُوطًا And Lut, إِذْ when قَالَ he said لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ to his people, إِنَّكُمْ "Indeed, you لَتَأْتُونَ commit ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ the immorality, مَا not سَبَقَكُم has preceded you بِهَا with it مِنْ any أَحَدٍ one مِّنَ from ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ the worlds.
English - And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, “Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds. .
हिंदी - और लूत को, जब उसने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि तुम बेशर्मी का वह काम करते हो कि तुम से पहले दुनिया भर में किसी ने भी नहीं किया।.
Ayah 29
أَئِنَّكُمْ Indeed, you لَتَأْتُونَ approach ٱلرِّجَالَ the men, وَتَقْطَعُونَ and you cut off ٱلسَّبِيلَ the road وَتَأْتُونَ and commit فِى in نَادِيكُمُ your meetings ٱلْمُنكَرَ evil?" فَمَا And not كَانَ was جَوَابَ (the) answer قَوْمِهِۦٓ (of) his people إِلَّآ except أَن that قَالُوا۟ they said, ٱئْتِنَا "Bring upon us بِعَذَابِ (the) punishment ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah إِن if كُنتَ you are مِنَ of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful."
English - Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil.” And the answer of his people was not but they said, “Bring us the punishment of Allah, if you should be of the truthful.” .
हिंदी - क्या यक़ीनन तुम मर्दाें के पास जाते हो और रास्ता काटते हो और तुम अपनी मजलिसों में बुरे काम करते हो, तो उसकी क़ौम का जवाब नहीं था मगर यह कि हम पर अल्लाह का अज़्ााब ले आओ अगर तुम सच्चे हो।.
Ayah 30
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord! ٱنصُرْنِى Help me عَلَى against ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ the corrupters."
English - He said, “My Lord, support me against the corrupting people.” .
हिंदी - उसने कहा कि ऐ मेरे रब, फ़सादी लोगों के ख़िलाफ मेरी मदद फ़रमा।.
Ayah 31
وَلَمَّا And when جَآءَتْ came رُسُلُنَآ Our messengers إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (to) Ibrahim بِٱلْبُشْرَىٰ with the glad tidings قَالُوٓا۟ they said, إِنَّا "Indeed, we مُهْلِكُوٓا۟ (are) going to destroy أَهْلِ (the) people هَٰذِهِ (of) this ٱلْقَرْيَةِ town. إِنَّ Indeed, أَهْلَهَا its people كَانُوا۟ are ظَٰلِمِينَ wrongdoers."
English - And when Our messengers came to Abraham with the good tidings, they said, “Indeed, we will destroy the people of that Lot’s city. Indeed, its people have been wrongdoers.” .
हिंदी - और जब हमारे पैग़ाम पहुंचाने वाले इब्राहीम के पास ख़ुशख़बरी लेकर आए तो उन्होंने कहा कि हम इस बस्ती के रहने वालों को हलाक करने वाले हैं, बेशक इसके रहने वाले ज़ालिम हैं।.
Ayah 32
قَالَ He said, إِنَّ "Indeed, فِيهَا in it لُوطًا (is) Lut." قَالُوا۟ They said, نَحْنُ "We أَعْلَمُ know better بِمَن who فِيهَا (is) in it. لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُۥ We will surely save him وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ and his family, إِلَّا except ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ his wife. كَانَتْ She مِنَ (is) of ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ those who remain behind."
English - [Abraham] said, “Indeed, within it is Lot.” They said, “We are more knowing of who is within it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife. She is to be of those who remain behind.” .
हिंदी - उसने कहा कि इस में लूत है, उन्होंने कहा कि हम उसे जो इस में है, ज़्यादा जानने वाले हैं, हम उसे और उसके घर वालों को ज़्ारूर बचा लेंगे सिवाए उसकी औरत के, वह पीछे रह जाने वालों में होगी।.
Ayah 33
وَلَمَّآ And when أَن [that] جَآءَتْ came رُسُلُنَا Our messengers لُوطًا (to) Lut سِىٓءَ he was distressed بِهِمْ for them, وَضَاقَ and felt straitened بِهِمْ for them ذَرْعًا (and) uneasy. وَقَالُوا۟ And they said, لَا "(Do) not تَخَفْ fear وَلَا and (do) not تَحْزَنْ grieve. إِنَّا Indeed, we مُنَجُّوكَ (will) save you وَأَهْلَكَ and your family, إِلَّا except ٱمْرَأَتَكَ your wife. كَانَتْ She مِنَ (is) of ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ those who remain behind.
English - And when Our messengers came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, “Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind. .
हिंदी - और जब यह कि हमारे पैग़ाम पहुंचाने वाले आ गए लूत के पास तो वह उनसे परेशान हुआ और वह दिल में उनसे तंग हुआ तो उन्होंने कहा कि तुम ना डरो और ना ग़म करो, बेशक हम तुम्हें और तुम्हारे घर वालों को बचा लेंगे सिवाए तुम्हारी औरत के, वह पीछे रह जाने वालों में से है।.
Ayah 34
إِنَّا Indeed, we مُنزِلُونَ (will) bring down عَلَىٰٓ on أَهْلِ (the) people هَٰذِهِ (of) this ٱلْقَرْيَةِ town رِجْزًا a punishment مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ (the) sky, بِمَا because كَانُوا۟ they have been يَفْسُقُونَ defiantly disobedient."
English - Indeed, we will bring down on the people of this city punishment from the sky because they have been defiantly disobedient.” .
हिंदी - बेशक हम इस बस्ती वालों पर आसमान से एक अज़्ााब उतारने वाले हैं उसके बदले जो वह नाफ़रमानी करते थे।.
Ayah 35
وَلَقَد And verily, تَّرَكْنَا We have left مِنْهَآ about it ءَايَةًۢ a sign, بَيِّنَةً (as) evidence لِّقَوْمٍ for a people يَعْقِلُونَ who use reason.
English - And We have certainly left of it a sign as clear evidence for a people who use reason. .
हिंदी - और यक़ीनन हम ने इसकी एक खुली निशानी बाक़ी रखी उन लोगों के लिए जो अक़्ल रखते हैं।.
Ayah 36
وَإِلَىٰ And to مَدْيَنَ Madyan أَخَاهُمْ their brother شُعَيْبًا Shuaib. فَقَالَ And he said, يَٰقَوْمِ "O my people! ٱعْبُدُوا۟ Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah وَٱرْجُوا۟ and expect ٱلْيَوْمَ the Day ٱلْءَاخِرَ the Last, وَلَا and (do) not تَعْثَوْا۟ commit evil فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth مُفْسِدِينَ (as) corrupters."
English - And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu‘ayb, and he said, “O my people, worship Allah and expect the Last Day and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.” .
हिंदी - और मदयन की तरफ़ उनके भाई शुऐब को, तो उसने कहा, ऐ मेरी क़ौम अल्लाह की इबादत करो और आख़िरी दिन की उम्मीद रखो और ज़मीन में फ़सादी बन कर बवाल मत मचाओ।.
Ayah 37
فَكَذَّبُوهُ But they denied him, فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ so seized them ٱلرَّجْفَةُ the earthquake, فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ and they became فِى in دَارِهِمْ their home جَٰثِمِينَ fallen prone.
English - But they denied him, so the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone. .
हिंदी - तो उन्होंने उसे झुठलाया, फिर उन्हें ज़लज़ले ने आ पकड़ा तो वह अपने ही घर में औंधे पड़े रह गए।.
Ayah 38
وَعَادًا And Aad وَثَمُودَا۟ and Thamud, وَقَد and verily, تَّبَيَّنَ (has) become clear لَكُم to you مِّن from مَّسَٰكِنِهِمْ their dwellings. وَزَيَّنَ And made fair-seeming لَهُمُ to them ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ the Shaitaan أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ their deeds فَصَدَّهُمْ and averted them عَنِ from ٱلسَّبِيلِ the Way, وَكَانُوا۟ though they were مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ endowed with insight.
English - And [We destroyed] ‘Aad and Thamūd, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception. .
हिंदी - और आद और समूद को और मालूम हो चुके तुम्हें उनके घर और शैतान ने उनके कामों को उनके लिए सुहाना बना दिया फिर उन्हें रास्ते सेे रोक दिया हालाँकि वह सूझ बूझ वाले लोग थे।.
Ayah 39
وَقَٰرُونَ And Qarun, وَفِرْعَوْنَ and Firaun وَهَٰمَٰنَ and Haman. وَلَقَدْ And certainly جَآءَهُم came to them مُّوسَىٰ Musa بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ with clear evidences, فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ but they were arrogant فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth, وَمَا and not كَانُوا۟ they could سَٰبِقِينَ outstrip Us.
English - And [We destroyed] Qarūn and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not outrunners [of Our punishment]. .
हिंदी - और क़ारून और फ़िरऔन और हामान को हालाँकि मूसा उनके पास खुली निशानियों के साथ आया तो उन्होंने ज़्ामीन में घमंड किया और वह आगे बढ़ने वाले नहीं थे।.
Ayah 40
فَكُلًّا So each أَخَذْنَا We seized بِذَنۢبِهِۦ for his sin. فَمِنْهُم Then of them مَّنْ (was he) who, أَرْسَلْنَا We sent عَلَيْهِ on him حَاصِبًا a violent storm, وَمِنْهُم and of them مَّنْ (was he) who, أَخَذَتْهُ seized him ٱلصَّيْحَةُ the awful cry وَمِنْهُم and of them مَّنْ (was he) who, خَسَفْنَا We caused to swallow بِهِ him, ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth وَمِنْهُم and of them مَّنْ (was he) who, أَغْرَقْنَا We drowned. وَمَا And not كَانَ was ٱللَّهُ Allah لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ to wrong them وَلَٰكِن but كَانُوٓا۟ they were أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves يَظْلِمُونَ doing wrong.
English - So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allah would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves. .
हिंदी - तो हर एक को हम ने उस के गुनाह के कारण पकड़ा फिर उन में से कुछ पर पथराव करने वाली हवा भेजी और कुछ को चीख़ ने आ लिया और उन में से कुछ को हम ने ज़्ामीन में धँसा दिया और कुछ को हमने डुबो दिया और अल्लाह (ऐसा) नहीं था कि उन पर ज़्ाुल्म करता, लेकिन वह ख़ुद पर ज़्ाुल्म करते थे।.
Ayah 41
مَثَلُ (The) example ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ take مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah أَوْلِيَآءَ protectors كَمَثَلِ (is) like ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ the spider ٱتَّخَذَتْ who takes بَيْتًا a house. وَإِنَّ And indeed, أَوْهَنَ the weakest ٱلْبُيُوتِ (of) houses لَبَيْتُ (is) surely (the) house ٱلْعَنكَبُوتِ (of) the spider, لَوْ if (only) كَانُوا۟ they يَعْلَمُونَ know.
English - The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew. .
हिंदी - जिन लोगों ने अल्लाह के सिवा मददगार बना रखे हैं उनकी मीसाल उस मकड़ी सी है जिसने एक घर बनाया और बेशक घरों से सबसे कमज़्ाोर मकड़ी का घर है, काश यह लोग जान लेते।.
Ayah 42
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يَعْلَمُ knows مَا what يَدْعُونَ they invoke مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦ besides Him مِن any شَىْءٍ thing. وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise.
English - Indeed, Allah knows whatever thing they call upon other than Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. .
हिंदी - बेशक अल्लाह जानता है जिसे वह पुकारते हैं उसके सिवा, कोई भी चीज़्ा हो और वह बहुत ज़्ाबरदस्त, बड़ा सूझ बूझ वाला है।.
Ayah 43
وَتِلْكَ And these ٱلْأَمْثَٰلُ examples نَضْرِبُهَا We set forth لِلنَّاسِ to mankind, وَمَا but not يَعْقِلُهَآ will understand them إِلَّا except ٱلْعَٰلِمُونَ those of knowledge.
English - And these examples We present to the people, but none will understand them except those of knowledge. .
हिंदी - और हम ये मिसालें लोगों के लिए बयान करते हैं और उन्हें तो बस जानने वाले ही समझ पाते हैं।.
Ayah 44
خَلَقَ Allah created ٱللَّهُ Allah created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth. إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً (is) surely a Sign لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ for the believers.
English - Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth. Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. .
हिंदी - अल्लाह ने आसमानों और ज़मीन को हक़ के साथ पैदा किया बेशक इसमें ईमानदारों के वास्ते एक निशानी है।.
Ayah 45
ٱتْلُ Recite مَآ what أُوحِىَ has been revealed إِلَيْكَ to you مِنَ of ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book, وَأَقِمِ and establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer تَنْهَىٰ prevents عَنِ from ٱلْفَحْشَآءِ the immorality وَٱلْمُنكَرِ and evil deeds, وَلَذِكْرُ and surely (the) remembrance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah أَكْبَرُ (is) greatest. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah يَعْلَمُ knows مَا what تَصْنَعُونَ you do.
English - Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. .
हिंदी - जो किताब तुम्हारे पास उतारी गई है उसकी तिलावत करो और नमाज़ क़ायम करो। बेशक नमाज़ बेहयाई और बुरे काम से रोकती है और अल्लाह का ज़िक्र सबसे बड़ा है और तुम लोग जो कुछ करते हो अल्लाह उसे जानता है।.
Ayah 46
وَلَا And (do) not تُجَٰدِلُوٓا۟ argue أَهْلَ (with the) People of the Book ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (with the) People of the Book إِلَّا except بِٱلَّتِى by which هِىَ [it] أَحْسَنُ (is) best, إِلَّا except ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوا۟ (do) wrong مِنْهُمْ among them, وَقُولُوٓا۟ and say, ءَامَنَّا "We believe بِٱلَّذِىٓ in that (which) أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْنَا to us وَأُنزِلَ and was revealed إِلَيْكُمْ to you. وَإِلَٰهُنَا And our God وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ and your God وَٰحِدٌ (is) One, وَنَحْنُ and we لَهُۥ to Him مُسْلِمُونَ submit."
English - And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.” .
हिंदी - और किताब वालों से बहस न किया करो मगर उस से जो सबसे अच्छा (तरीक़ा) हो सिवाए उनमें से जिन लोगों ने तुम पर ज़ुल्म किया, और कह दो कि हम ईमान लाए उस पर जो हमारी ओर उतारी गई और जो तुम्हारी तरफ़ नाज़िल की गई और हमारा पूज्य और तुम्हारा पूज्य एक ही है और हम उसी के फरमाबरदार हैं।.
Ayah 47
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus أَنزَلْنَآ We (have) revealed إِلَيْكَ to you ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book. فَٱلَّذِينَ So those ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ We gave [them] ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِهِۦ therein. وَمِنْ And among هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these مَن (are some) who يُؤْمِنُ believe بِهِۦ therein. وَمَا And none يَجْحَدُ reject بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Verses إِلَّا except ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers.
English - And thus We have sent down to you the Qur’an. And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture believe in it. And among these [people of Makkah] are those who believe in it. And none reject Our verses except the disbelievers. .
हिंदी - और इसी तरह हमने तुम्हारी तरफ़ किताब उतारी तो जिन लोगों को हमने किताब अता की वह उस पर ईमान रखते हैं और उन लोगों में से कुछ हैं जो उस पर ईमान रखते हैं और हमारी आयतों का इंकार नहीं करते मगर काफ़िर।.
Ayah 48
وَمَا And not كُنتَ (did) you تَتْلُوا۟ recite مِن before it, قَبْلِهِۦ before it, مِن any كِتَٰبٍ Book, وَلَا and not تَخُطُّهُۥ (did) you write it بِيَمِينِكَ with your right hand, إِذًا in that case لَّٱرْتَابَ surely (would) have doubted ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ the falsifiers.
English - And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe one with your right hand. Otherwise the falsifiers would have had [cause for] doubt. .
हिंदी - और न इस से पहले तुम कोई किताब ही पढ़ते थे और न अपने हाथ से तुम उसे लिखा करते थे तब तो जालसाज़ शक करने लग जाते।.
Ayah 49
بَلْ Nay, هُوَ it ءَايَٰتٌۢ (is) Verses بَيِّنَٰتٌ clear فِى in صُدُورِ (the) breasts ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who أُوتُوا۟ are given ٱلْعِلْمَ the knowledge. وَمَا And not يَجْحَدُ reject بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Verses إِلَّا except ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers.
English - Rather, the Qur’an is distinct verses [preserved] within the breasts of those who have been given knowledge. And none reject Our verses except the wrongdoers. .
हिंदी - बल्कि, जिन लोगों को इल्म दिया गया उनके दिलों में यह रौशन आयतें हैं और ज़्ाालिम के सिवा हमारी आयतों का कोई इंकार नहीं करता।.
Ayah 50
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, لَوْلَآ "Why not أُنزِلَ are sent down عَلَيْهِ to him ءَايَٰتٌ (the) Signs مِّن from رَّبِّهِۦ his Lord?" قُلْ Say, إِنَّمَا "Only ٱلْءَايَٰتُ the Signs عِندَ (are) with ٱللَّهِ Allah, وَإِنَّمَآ and only أَنَا۠ I (am) نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear."
English - But they say, “Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?” Say, “The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner.” .
हिंदी - और वह कहते हैं कि इस पर उसके रब की तरफ़ से निशानियाँ क्यों नही उतारी गईं, कह दो कि निशानियाँ तो सिर्फ़ अल्लाह के पास हैं और मैं तो बस एक खुल्लम खुल्ला ख़बरदार करने वाला हूँ।.
Ayah 51
أَوَلَمْ And is (it) not يَكْفِهِمْ sufficient for them أَنَّآ that We أَنزَلْنَا revealed عَلَيْكَ to you ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book يُتْلَىٰ (which) is recited عَلَيْهِمْ to them? إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that, لَرَحْمَةً surely is a mercy وَذِكْرَىٰ and a reminder لِقَوْمٍ for a people يُؤْمِنُونَ who believe.
English - And is it not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Indeed in that is a mercy and reminder for a people who believe. .
हिंदी - क्या उनके लिए यह काफी नहीं कि हमने तुम पर किताब नाज़िल की जो उनके सामने पढ़ी जाती है, बेशक इस में मेहरबानी और याद-दहानी है उन लोगों के लिए जो ईमान रखते हैं।.
Ayah 52
قُلْ Say, كَفَىٰ "Sufficient is بِٱللَّهِ Allah بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَكُمْ and between you شَهِيدًا (as) a Witness. يَعْلَمُ He knows مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ in [the] falsehood وَكَفَرُوا۟ and disbelieve بِٱللَّهِ in Allah, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those, هُمُ they ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ (are) the losers."
English - Say, “Sufficient is Allah between me and you as Witness. He knows what is in the heavens and earth. And they who have believed in falsehood and disbelieved in Allah – it is those who are the losers.” .
हिंदी - कहो, अल्लाह काफ़ी है मेरे और तुम्हारे बीच गवाही के वास्ते, जो जानता है जो कुछ आसमानों और ज़मीन में है और जिन लोगों ने झूठ का इक़रार और अल्लाह का इंकार किया वही हैं घाटे में रहने वाले।.
Ayah 53
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ And they ask you to hasten بِٱلْعَذَابِ [with] the punishment. وَلَوْلَآ And if not أَجَلٌ (for) a term مُّسَمًّى appointed, لَّجَآءَهُمُ surely (would) have come to them ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment. وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُم But it will surely come to them بَغْتَةً suddenly وَهُمْ while they لَا (do) not يَشْعُرُونَ perceive.
English - And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not. .
हिंदी - और वह तुम से अज़्ााब के सिलसिले में जल्दी मचाते हैं और अगर एक तय वक़्त ना होता तो उनके पास यक़ीनन अज़ाब आ जाता और वह अचानक उन पर ज़रूर आ पड़ेगा और उन्हें ख़बर भी न होगी।.
Ayah 54
يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ They ask you to hasten بِٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment. وَإِنَّ And indeed, جَهَنَّمَ Hell, لَمُحِيطَةٌۢ will surely, encompass بِٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers
English - They urge you to hasten the punishment. And indeed, Hell will be encompassing of the disbelievers .
हिंदी - और वह तुम से अज़ाब की जल्दी मांग करते हैं और बेशक जहन्नम काफिरों को घेरे हुए है।.
Ayah 55
يَوْمَ On (the) Day يَغْشَىٰهُمُ will cover them ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment مِن from فَوْقِهِمْ above them وَمِن and from تَحْتِ below أَرْجُلِهِمْ their feet, وَيَقُولُ and He will say, ذُوقُوا۟ "Taste مَا what كُنتُمْ you used تَعْمَلُونَ (to) do."
English - On the Day the punishment will cover them from above them and from below their feet and it is said, “Taste [the result of] what you used to do.” .
हिंदी - जिस दिन अज़ाब उन्हें उनकेे ऊपर से और उनके पाँव के नीचे से ढ़ाप लेगा और वह कहेगा, चखो उसका मज़्ाा जो तुम किया करते थे।.
Ayah 56
يَٰعِبَادِىَ O My servants ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believe! إِنَّ Indeed, أَرْضِى My earth وَٰسِعَةٌ (is) spacious, فَإِيَّٰىَ so only فَٱعْبُدُونِ worship Me.
English - O My servants who have believed, indeed My earth is spacious, so worship only Me. .
हिंदी - ऐ मेरे ईमानदार बंदो, बेशक मेरी ज़मीन फैली हुई है, तो तुम मेरी ही इबादत करो।.
Ayah 57
كُلُّ Every نَفْسٍ soul ذَآئِقَةُ (will) taste ٱلْمَوْتِ the death. ثُمَّ Then إِلَيْنَا to Us تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned.
English - Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned. .
हिंदी - हर नफ़्स मौत का मज़ा चखने वाला है फिर तुम हमारी ही तरफ़ लौटाए जाओगे।.
Ayah 58
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ [the] righteous deeds, لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُم surely We will give them a place مِّنَ in ٱلْجَنَّةِ Paradise غُرَفًا lofty dwellings, تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers, خَٰلِدِينَ will abide forever فِيهَا in it. نِعْمَ Excellent is أَجْرُ (the) reward ٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ (of) the workers
English - And those who have believed and done righteous deeds – We will surely assign to them of Paradise [elevated] chambers beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Excellent is the reward of the [righteous] workers .
हिंदी - और जिन लोगों ने ईमान रखा और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए, उन्हें हम ज़्ारूर जन्नत के महलों में जगह देगें जिनके नीचे से नहरें बह रही होंगी, जिनमें वह हमेशा रहने वाले हैं, काम करने वालों की कितनी ही अच्छी मज़्ादूरी है।.
Ayah 59
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who صَبَرُوا۟ (are) patient وَعَلَىٰ and upon رَبِّهِمْ their Lord يَتَوَكَّلُونَ put their trust.
English - Who have been patient and upon their Lord rely. .
हिंदी - जिन्होंने सब्र किया और वह अपने पालनहार पर ही भरोसा रखते हैं।.
Ayah 60
وَكَأَيِّن And how many مِّن of دَآبَّةٍ a creature لَّا (does) not تَحْمِلُ carry رِزْقَهَا its provision. ٱللَّهُ Allah يَرْزُقُهَا provides (for) it وَإِيَّاكُمْ and (for) you. وَهُوَ And He ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer, ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower.
English - And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - और बहुत से (ज़्ामीन पर) चलने वाले ऐसे हैं जो अपनी रोज़ी उठाए नहीं फिरते, अल्लाह ही उन्हें रोज़ी देता है और तुम्हें भी और वह बहुत सुनने वाला, ख़ूब जानने वाला है।.
Ayah 61
وَلَئِن And if سَأَلْتَهُم you ask them, مَّنْ "Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth, وَسَخَّرَ and subjected ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun وَٱلْقَمَرَ and the moon?" لَيَقُولُنَّ Surely they would say ٱللَّهُ "Allah." فَأَنَّىٰ Then how يُؤْفَكُونَ are they deluded?
English - If you asked them, “Who created the heavens and earth and subjected the sun and the moon?” they would surely say, “Allah.” Then how are they deluded? .
हिंदी - और अगर तुम उन से पूछो कि किसने आसमानों और ज़मीन को पैदा किया और सूरज और चाँद को काम में लगाया, तो वह ज़रूर कहेंगे “अल्लाह”, फिर वह कहाँ उलटे चले जाते हैं।.
Ayah 62
ٱللَّهُ Allah يَبْسُطُ extends ٱلرِّزْقَ the provision لِمَن for whom يَشَآءُ He wills مِنْ of عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves وَيَقْدِرُ and restricts لَهُۥٓ for him. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah بِكُلِّ of every شَىْءٍ thing عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower.
English - Allah extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts for him. Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing. .
हिंदी - अल्लाह अपने बंदों में से जिसके लिए चाहता है रोज़ी फैला देता है और उसके लिए तंग (भी) कर देता है, बेशक अल्लाह हर चीज़ को ख़ूब जानने वाला है।.
Ayah 63
وَلَئِن And if سَأَلْتَهُم you ask them, مَّن "Who نَّزَّلَ sends down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water فَأَحْيَا and gives life بِهِ thereby ٱلْأَرْضَ (to) the earth مِنۢ after بَعْدِ after مَوْتِهَا its death?" لَيَقُولُنَّ Surely, they would say, ٱللَّهُ "Allah." قُلِ Say, ٱلْحَمْدُ "All Praises لِلَّهِ (are) for Allah." بَلْ But أَكْثَرُهُمْ most of them لَا (do) not يَعْقِلُونَ use reason.
English - And if you asked them, “Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness?” they would surely say “Allah.” Say, “Praise to Allah”; but most of them do not reason. .
हिंदी - और अगर तुम उन से पूछो कि किसने आसमान से पानी बरसाया फिर उस से ज़मीन को इसके मरने के बाद ज़िंदा किया तो वह ज़रुर कहेंगे कि “अल्लाह”, कह दो, सारी तारीफ़ अल्लाह के लिए है बल्कि उन में से अक्सर अक़्ल नहीं रखते।.
Ayah 64
وَمَا And not هَٰذِهِ (is) this ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ life ٱلدُّنْيَآ (of) the world إِلَّا but لَهْوٌ amusement وَلَعِبٌ and play. وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱلدَّارَ the Home ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ (of) the Hereafter - لَهِىَ surely, it ٱلْحَيَوَانُ (is) the life, لَوْ if only كَانُوا۟ they يَعْلَمُونَ know.
English - And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter – that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew. .
हिंदी - और यह दुनिया की ज़िंदगी नहीं है मगर एक खेल-तमाशा और बेशक आख़िरत का घर ही (असल) ज़िंदगी है, काश यह लोग जान लेते।.
Ayah 65
فَإِذَا And when رَكِبُوا۟ they embark فِى [in] ٱلْفُلْكِ the ship, دَعَوُا۟ they call ٱللَّهَ Allah مُخْلِصِينَ (being) sincere لَهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ (in) the religion. فَلَمَّا But when نَجَّىٰهُمْ He delivers them إِلَى to ٱلْبَرِّ the land, إِذَا behold, هُمْ they يُشْرِكُونَ associate partners (with Him)
English - And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him .
हिंदी - फिर जब यह लोग नाव में सवार होते हैं तो अल्लाह को उस के लिए दीन को ख़ालिस करते हुए पुकारते हैं फिर जब वह उन्हें सूखे की तरफ़ बचा लाता है तो वह फौरन शिर्क करने लगते हैं।.
Ayah 66
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ So that they may deny بِمَآ [in] what ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ We have given them, وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ and they may enjoy (themselves). فَسَوْفَ But soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will know.
English - So that they will deny what We have granted them, and they will enjoy themselves. But they are going to know. .
हिंदी - ताकि जो हमने उन्हें दिया है उसका इंकार कर बैठें और ताकि वह ख़ूब मौज कर लें तो जल्द ही उन्हें मालूम हो जाएगा।.
Ayah 67
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّا that We جَعَلْنَا have made حَرَمًا a Sanctuary ءَامِنًا secure وَيُتَخَطَّفُ while are being taken away ٱلنَّاسُ the people مِنْ around them? حَوْلِهِمْ around them? أَفَبِٱلْبَٰطِلِ Then do in (the) falsehood يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe وَبِنِعْمَةِ and in (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يَكْفُرُونَ they disbelieve?
English - Have they not seen that We made [Makkah] a safe sanctuary, while people are being taken away all around them? Then in falsehood do they believe, and in the favor of Allah they disbelieve? .
हिंदी - क्या उन्होंने ग़ौर नहीं किया कि हमने हरम (मक्का) को अमन वाला बनाया जबकि उनके आस-पास से लोग उचक लिए जाते हैं तो क्या झूठ पर यह लोग ईमान रखते हैं और अल्लाह की नेमत का इंकार करते हैं?.
Ayah 68
وَمَنْ And who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّنِ than (he) who ٱفْتَرَىٰ invents عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie أَوْ or كَذَّبَ denies بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth لَمَّا when جَآءَهُۥٓ it has come to him. أَلَيْسَ Is there not فِى in جَهَنَّمَ Hell مَثْوًى an abode لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ for the disbelievers?
English - And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a [sufficient] residence for the disbelievers? .
हिंदी - और उस से बड़ा ज़ालिम कौन है जो अल्लाह पर झूठ का इल्ज़ाम लगाए या हक़ को झुठलाए जब वह उनके पास आ जाए, क्या काफ़िरोें का ठिकाना जहन्नम में नहीं है?.
Ayah 69
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who جَٰهَدُوا۟ strive فِينَا for Us, لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ We will surely, guide them سُبُلَنَا (to) Our ways. وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَمَعَ surely (is) with ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers.
English - And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good. .
हिंदी - और जिन्होंने हमारी (राह) में कोशिश की, उन्हें हम ज़रूर अपनी राह की हिदायत देंगे और बेशक अल्लाह अच्छाई करने वालों के साथ है।.
