Ayah 1
طسٓمٓ Ta Seem Meem.
English - Ta, Seen, Meem. .
हिंदी - ता सीम मीम।.
Ayah 2
تِلْكَ These ءَايَٰتُ (are the) Verses ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book ٱلْمُبِينِ clear.
English - These are the verses of the clear Book. .
हिंदी - यह खुली किताब की आयतें हैं।.
Ayah 3
لَعَلَّكَ Perhaps you بَٰخِعٌ (would) kill نَّفْسَكَ yourself أَلَّا that not يَكُونُوا۟ they become مُؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers. .
हिंदी - शायद कि तुम ख़ुद को हलाक ही करने वाले हो कि वह ईमान लाने वाले नहीं हैं।.
Ayah 4
إِن If نَّشَأْ We will, نُنَزِّلْ We can send down عَلَيْهِم to them مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky ءَايَةً a Sign فَظَلَّتْ so would bend أَعْنَٰقُهُمْ their necks لَهَا to it خَٰضِعِينَ (in) humility.
English - If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled. .
हिंदी - अगर हम चाहें तो उन पर आसमान से एक निशानी उतार दें तो उनकी गर्दनें उसके सामने झुकने वाली हो जाएं।.
Ayah 5
وَمَا And (does) not يَأْتِيهِم come to them مِّن any ذِكْرٍ reminder مِّنَ from ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious مُحْدَثٍ new, إِلَّا but كَانُوا۟ they عَنْهُ from it مُعْرِضِينَ turn away.
English - And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. .
हिंदी - और रहमान की तरफ़ से कोई नई नसीहत उनके पास नहीं आती मगर वह उस से मुंह फेरने वाले होते।.
Ayah 6
فَقَدْ So verily, كَذَّبُوا۟ they have denied, فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ then will come to them أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ the news مَا (of) what كَانُوا۟ they used بِهِۦ at it يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ (to) mock.
English - For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. .
हिंदी - तो बेशक उन्होंने झुठलाया, तो उनके पास जल्द ही उसकी ख़बरें आएंगी जिसका वह मज़्ााक़ उड़ाया करते थे।.
Ayah 7
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see إِلَى at ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth - كَمْ how many أَنۢبَتْنَا We produced فِيهَا in it مِن of كُلِّ every زَوْجٍ kind كَرِيمٍ noble.
English - Did they not look at the earth – how much We have produced therein from every noble kind? .
हिंदी - क्या इन्होंने ज़मीन की तरफ नहीं देखा कि हमने उसमें कितने ही हर तरह के अच्छे अच्छे जोड़े उगाए।.
Ayah 8
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely (is) a sign, وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .
हिंदी - बेशक इस में एक निशानी है और उनके अक्सर ईमान लाने वाले नहीं।.
Ayah 9
وَإِنَّ And indeed رَبَّكَ your Lord, لَهُوَ surely, He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. .
हिंदी - और बेशक तुम्हारा रब ही है वह बड़ा ज़बरदस्त और बहुत रहम करने वाला।.
Ayah 10
وَإِذْ And when نَادَىٰ your Lord called رَبُّكَ your Lord called مُوسَىٰٓ Musa, أَنِ [that], ٱئْتِ "Go ٱلْقَوْمَ (to) the people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ (who are) wrongdoers
English - And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], “Go to the wrongdoing people – .
हिंदी - और जब तुम्हारे रब ने मूसा को पुकारा कि तुम ज़ालिम लोगों के पास जाओ।.
Ayah 11
قَوْمَ (The) people فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun. أَلَا Will not يَتَّقُونَ they fear?"
English - The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?” .
हिंदी - फ़िरऔन के लोग, क्या वह डरते नहीं?.
Ayah 12
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord! إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear أَن that يُكَذِّبُونِ they will deny me.
English - He said, “My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me .
हिंदी - उस ने कहा कि ऐ मेरे रब बेशक मैं डरता हूँ कि वह लोग मुझे झुठला दंेगेे।.
Ayah 13
وَيَضِيقُ And straitens صَدْرِى my breast وَلَا and not يَنطَلِقُ expresses well لِسَانِى my tongue, فَأَرْسِلْ so send إِلَىٰ for هَٰرُونَ Harun.
English - And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. .
हिंदी - और मेरा सीना तंग हो जाए और मेरी ज़बान न चले तो हारुन के पास पैग़ाम भेज दे।.
Ayah 14
وَلَهُمْ And they have عَلَىَّ against me ذَنۢبٌ a crime, فَأَخَافُ so I fear أَن that يَقْتُلُونِ they will kill me."
English - And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me.” .
हिंदी - उनका मेरे सर एक जुर्म भी है तो मैं डरता हूँ कि मुझे ये लाग मार डालें।.
Ayah 15
قَالَ He said, كَلَّا "Nay, فَٱذْهَبَا go both of you بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ with Our Signs. إِنَّا Indeed, We مَعَكُم (are) with you, مُّسْتَمِعُونَ listening.
English - [Allah] said, “No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. .
हिंदी - उसने कहा हरगिज़ नहीं अच्छा तुम दोनों हमारी निशानियाँ लेकर जाओ हम तुम्हारे साथ हैं और अच्छी तरह सुनते हैं।.
Ayah 16
فَأْتِيَا So go both of you فِرْعَوْنَ (to) Firaun فَقُولَآ and say, إِنَّا 'Indeed, we رَسُولُ (are the) Messenger رَبِّ (of the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds
English - Go to Pharaoh and say, ‘We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, .
हिंदी - ग़रज़ तुम दोनों फिरऔन के पास जाओ और कह दो कि हम सारे जहाँन के परवरदिगार के रसूल हैं।.
Ayah 17
أَنْ [That] أَرْسِلْ send مَعَنَا with us بَنِىٓ (the) Children of Israel.'" إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (the) Children of Israel.'"
English - [Commanded to say], “Send with us the Children of Israel.”’” .
हिंदी - कि आप बनी इसराइल को हमारे साथ भेज दीजिए।.
Ayah 18
قَالَ He said, أَلَمْ "Did not نُرَبِّكَ we bring you up فِينَا among us وَلِيدًا (as) a child, وَلَبِثْتَ and you remained فِينَا among us مِنْ of عُمُرِكَ your life سِنِينَ years?
English - [Pharaoh] said, “Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? .
हिंदी - फिरऔन बोला, क्या हमने तुम्हें यहाँ रख कर बचपने में तुम्हारी परवरिश नहीं की और तुम अपनी उम्र से बरसों हम मे रह सह चुके हो।.
Ayah 19
وَفَعَلْتَ And you did فَعْلَتَكَ your deed ٱلَّتِى which فَعَلْتَ you did, وَأَنتَ and you مِنَ (were) of ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the ungrateful."
English - And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful.” .
हिंदी - और तुम अपना वह काम जो कर गए और तुम नाशुक्रे हो।.
Ayah 20
قَالَ He said, فَعَلْتُهَآ "I did it إِذًا when وَأَنَا۠ I مِنَ (was) of ٱلضَّآلِّينَ those who are astray.
English - [Moses] said, “I did it, then, while I was of those astray. .
हिंदी - उस ने कहा, मैने उस वक़्त उस काम को किया जब मैं ग़फलत में था।.
Ayah 21
فَفَرَرْتُ So I fled مِنكُمْ from you لَمَّا when خِفْتُكُمْ I feared you. فَوَهَبَ But granted لِى to me رَبِّى my Lord, حُكْمًا judgment وَجَعَلَنِى and made me مِنَ of ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers.
English - So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. .
हिंदी - फिर जब मै आप लोगों से डरा तो भाग खड़ा हुआ फिर मेरे परवरदिगार ने मुझे नुबूवत अता फरमायी और मुझे भी एक पैग़म्बर बनाया।.
Ayah 22
وَتِلْكَ And this نِعْمَةٌ (is the) favor تَمُنُّهَا with which you reproach عَلَىَّ [on] me, أَنْ that عَبَّدتَّ you have enslaved بَنِىٓ (the) Children of Israel." إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (the) Children of Israel."
English - And is this a favor of which you remind me – that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 23
قَالَ Firaun said فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun said وَمَا "And what رَبُّ (is the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds?"
English - Said Pharaoh, “And what is the Lord of the worlds?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 24
قَالَ He said, رَبُّ "Lord ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَآ (is) between them, إِن if كُنتُم you (should) be مُّوقِنِينَ convinced."
English - [Moses] said, “The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 25
قَالَ He said لِمَنْ to those حَوْلَهُۥٓ around him, أَلَا "Do not تَسْتَمِعُونَ you hear?"
English - [Pharaoh] said to those around him, “Do you not hear?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 26
قَالَ He said, رَبُّكُمْ "Your Lord وَرَبُّ and (the) Lord ءَابَآئِكُمُ (of) your forefathers." ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) your forefathers."
English - [Moses] said, “Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 27
قَالَ He said, إِنَّ "Indeed, رَسُولَكُمُ your Messenger ٱلَّذِىٓ who أُرْسِلَ has been sent إِلَيْكُمْ to you لَمَجْنُونٌ (is) surely mad."
English - [Pharaoh] said, “Indeed, your ‘messenger’ who has been sent to you is mad.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 28
قَالَ He said, رَبُّ "Lord ٱلْمَشْرِقِ (of) the east وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ and the west وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَآ (is) between them, إِن if كُنتُمْ you were تَعْقِلُونَ (to) reason."
English - [Moses] said, “Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 29
قَالَ He said, لَئِنِ "If ٱتَّخَذْتَ you take إِلَٰهًا a god غَيْرِى other than me, لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ I will surely make you مِنَ among ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ those imprisoned."
English - [Pharaoh] said, “If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 30
قَالَ He said, أَوَلَوْ "Even if جِئْتُكَ I bring you بِشَىْءٍ something مُّبِينٍ manifest?"
English - [Moses] said, “Even if I brought you proof manifest?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 31
قَالَ He said, فَأْتِ "Then bring بِهِۦٓ it, إِن if كُنتَ you are مِنَ of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful."
English - [Pharaoh] said, “Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 32
فَأَلْقَىٰ So he threw عَصَاهُ his staff فَإِذَا and behold! هِىَ It ثُعْبَانٌ (was) a serpent, مُّبِينٌ manifest.
English - So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 33
وَنَزَعَ And he drew out يَدَهُۥ his hand فَإِذَا and behold! هِىَ It بَيْضَآءُ (was) white لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ for the observers.
English - And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 34
قَالَ He said لِلْمَلَإِ to the chiefs حَوْلَهُۥٓ around him, إِنَّ "Indeed, هَٰذَا this لَسَٰحِرٌ (is) surely a magician عَلِيمٌ learned.
English - [Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, “Indeed, this is a learned magician. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 35
يُرِيدُ He wants أَن to يُخْرِجَكُم drive you out مِّنْ from أَرْضِكُم your land بِسِحْرِهِۦ by his magic, فَمَاذَا so what تَأْمُرُونَ (do) you advise?"
English - He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 36
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, أَرْجِهْ "Postpone him وَأَخَاهُ and his brother, وَٱبْعَثْ and send فِى in ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ the cities حَٰشِرِينَ gatherers -
English - They said, “Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 37
يَأْتُوكَ They (will) bring to you بِكُلِّ every سَحَّارٍ magician, عَلِيمٍ learned."
English - Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 38
فَجُمِعَ So were assembled ٱلسَّحَرَةُ the magicians لِمِيقَٰتِ for (the) appointment يَوْمٍ (on) a day مَّعْلُومٍ well-known.
English - So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 39
وَقِيلَ And it was said لِلنَّاسِ to the people, هَلْ "Will أَنتُم you مُّجْتَمِعُونَ assemble
English - And it was said to the people, “Will you congregate .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 40
لَعَلَّنَا That we may نَتَّبِعُ follow ٱلسَّحَرَةَ the magicians إِن if كَانُوا۟ they are هُمُ they are ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ the victorious?"
English - That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 41
فَلَمَّا So when جَآءَ came ٱلسَّحَرَةُ the magicians, قَالُوا۟ they said لِفِرْعَوْنَ to Firaun, أَئِنَّ "Is there لَنَا for us لَأَجْرًا a reward إِن if كُنَّا we are نَحْنُ we are ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ the victorious?"
English - And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, “Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 42
قَالَ He said, نَعَمْ "Yes, وَإِنَّكُمْ and indeed you إِذًا then لَّمِنَ surely (will be) of ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ the ones who are brought near."
English - He said, “Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me].” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 43
قَالَ Said لَهُم to them مُّوسَىٰٓ Musa. أَلْقُوا۟ "Throw مَآ what أَنتُم you مُّلْقُونَ (are) going to throw."
English - Moses said to them, “Throw whatever you will throw.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 44
فَأَلْقَوْا۟ So they threw حِبَالَهُمْ their ropes وَعِصِيَّهُمْ and their staffs وَقَالُوا۟ and said, بِعِزَّةِ "By the might فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun, إِنَّا indeed, we لَنَحْنُ surely, we ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ (are) the victorious."
English - So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, “By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 45
فَأَلْقَىٰ Then threw مُوسَىٰ Musa عَصَاهُ his staff فَإِذَا and behold! هِىَ It تَلْقَفُ swallowed مَا what يَأْفِكُونَ they falsified.
English - Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 46
فَأُلْقِىَ Then fell down ٱلسَّحَرَةُ the magicians سَٰجِدِينَ prostrate.
English - So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah]. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 47
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, ءَامَنَّا "We believe بِرَبِّ in (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds,
English - They said, “We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 48
رَبِّ Lord مُوسَىٰ (of) Musa وَهَٰرُونَ and Harun."
English - The Lord of Moses and Aaron.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 49
قَالَ He said, ءَامَنتُمْ "You believed لَهُۥ in him قَبْلَ before أَنْ [that] ءَاذَنَ I gave permission لَكُمْ to you. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he لَكَبِيرُكُمُ (is) surely your chief ٱلَّذِى who عَلَّمَكُمُ has taught you ٱلسِّحْرَ the magic, فَلَسَوْفَ so surely soon تَعْلَمُونَ you will know. لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ I will surely cut off أَيْدِيَكُمْ your hands وَأَرْجُلَكُم and your feet مِّنْ of خِلَٰفٍ opposite sides, وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ and I will surely crucify you أَجْمَعِينَ all."
English - [Pharaoh] said, “You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 50
قَالُوا۟ They said, لَا "No ضَيْرَ harm. إِنَّآ Indeed, we إِلَىٰ to رَبِّنَا our Lord مُنقَلِبُونَ (will) return.
English - They said, “No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 51
إِنَّا Indeed, we نَطْمَعُ hope أَن that يَغْفِرَ will forgive لَنَا us رَبُّنَا our Lord خَطَٰيَٰنَآ our sins, أَن because كُنَّآ we are أَوَّلَ (the) first ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ (of) the believers."
English - Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 52
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ And We inspired إِلَىٰ to مُوسَىٰٓ Musa, أَنْ [that] أَسْرِ "Travel by night بِعِبَادِىٓ with My slaves, إِنَّكُم indeed, you مُّتَّبَعُونَ (will be) followed."
English - And We inspired to Moses, “Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 53
فَأَرْسَلَ Then sent فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun فِى in ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ the cities حَٰشِرِينَ gatherers,
English - Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 54
إِنَّ "Indeed, هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these لَشِرْذِمَةٌ (are) certainly a band قَلِيلُونَ small
English - [And said], “Indeed, those are but a small band, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 55
وَإِنَّهُمْ And indeed, they لَنَا [to] us لَغَآئِظُونَ (are) surely enraging,
English - And indeed, they are enraging us, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 56
وَإِنَّا And indeed, we لَجَمِيعٌ (are) surely a multitude حَٰذِرُونَ forewarned."
English - And indeed, we are a cautious society…” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 57
فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُم So We expelled them مِّن from جَنَّٰتٍ gardens وَعُيُونٍ and springs,
English - So We removed them from gardens and springs .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 58
وَكُنُوزٍ And treasures وَمَقَامٍ and a place كَرِيمٍ honorable,
English - And treasures and honorable station – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 59
كَذَٰلِكَ Thus. وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا And We caused to inherit them بَنِىٓ (the) Children of Israel. إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (the) Children of Israel.
English - Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 60
فَأَتْبَعُوهُم So they followed them مُّشْرِقِينَ (at) sunrise.
English - So they pursued them at sunrise. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 61
فَلَمَّا Then when تَرَٰٓءَا saw each other ٱلْجَمْعَانِ the two hosts, قَالَ said أَصْحَٰبُ (the) companions مُوسَىٰٓ (of) Musa, إِنَّا "Indeed, we لَمُدْرَكُونَ (are) surely to be overtaken."
English - And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, “Indeed, we are to be overtaken!” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 62
قَالَ He said, كَلَّآ "Nay, إِنَّ indeed, مَعِىَ with me رَبِّى (is) my Lord, سَيَهْدِينِ He will guide me."
English - [Moses] said, “No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 63
فَأَوْحَيْنَآ Then We inspired إِلَىٰ to مُوسَىٰٓ Musa, أَنِ [that] ٱضْرِب "Strike بِّعَصَاكَ with your staff ٱلْبَحْرَ the sea." فَٱنفَلَقَ So it parted فَكَانَ and became كُلُّ each فِرْقٍ part كَٱلطَّوْدِ like the mountain ٱلْعَظِيمِ [the] great.
English - Then We inspired to Moses, “Strike with your staff the sea,” and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 64
وَأَزْلَفْنَا And We brought near ثَمَّ there, ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ the others.
English - And We advanced thereto the pursuers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 65
وَأَنجَيْنَا And We saved مُوسَىٰ Musa وَمَن and who مَّعَهُۥٓ (were) with him أَجْمَعِينَ all.
English - And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 66
ثُمَّ Then أَغْرَقْنَا We drowned ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ the others.
English - Then We drowned the others. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 67
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely (is) a Sign, وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 68
وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, لَهُوَ surely He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 69
وَٱتْلُ And recite عَلَيْهِمْ to them نَبَأَ (the) news إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim,
English - And recite to them the news of Abraham, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 70
إِذْ When قَالَ he said لِأَبِيهِ to his father وَقَوْمِهِۦ and his people, مَا "What تَعْبُدُونَ (do) you worship?"
English - When he said to his father and his people, “What do you worship?” .

قَالُوا۟ They said, نَعْبُدُ "We worship أَصْنَامًا idols, فَنَظَلُّ so we will remain لَهَا to them عَٰكِفِينَ devoted."
English - They said, “We worship idols and remain to them devoted.” .

Ayah 72
قَالَ He said, هَلْ "Do يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ they hear you إِذْ when تَدْعُونَ you call?
English - He said, “Do they hear you when you supplicate? .

Ayah 73
أَوْ Or يَنفَعُونَكُمْ (do) they benefit you أَوْ or يَضُرُّونَ they harm (you)?"
English - Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?” .

Ayah 74
قَالُوا۟ They said, بَلْ "Nay, وَجَدْنَآ but we found ءَابَآءَنَا our forefathers كَذَٰلِكَ like that - يَفْعَلُونَ doing."
English - They said, “But we found our fathers doing thus.” .

Ayah 75
قَالَ He said, أَفَرَءَيْتُم "Do you see مَّا what كُنتُمْ you have been تَعْبُدُونَ worshipping,
English - He said, “Then do you see what you have been worshipping, .

Ayah 76
أَنتُمْ You وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ and your forefathers. ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ and your forefathers.
English - You and your ancient forefathers? .

Ayah 77
فَإِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they عَدُوٌّ (are) enemies لِّىٓ to me, إِلَّا except رَبَّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds,
English - Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds, .

Ayah 78
ٱلَّذِى The One Who خَلَقَنِى created me, فَهُوَ and He يَهْدِينِ guides me.
English - Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me. .

Ayah 79
وَٱلَّذِى And the One Who هُوَ [He] يُطْعِمُنِى gives me food وَيَسْقِينِ and gives me drink.
English - And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. .

Ayah 80
وَإِذَا And when مَرِضْتُ I am ill, فَهُوَ then He يَشْفِينِ cures me,
English - And when I am ill, it is He who cures me .

Ayah 81
وَٱلَّذِى And the One Who يُمِيتُنِى will cause me to die ثُمَّ then يُحْيِينِ he will give me life,
English - And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life .

Ayah 82
وَٱلَّذِىٓ And the One Who - أَطْمَعُ I hope أَن that يَغْفِرَ He will forgive لِى for me خَطِيٓـَٔتِى my faults يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلدِّينِ (of) the Judgment.
English - And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense.” .

Ayah 83
رَبِّ My Lord! هَبْ Grant لِى [for] me حُكْمًا wisdom وَأَلْحِقْنِى and join me بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ with the righteous.
English - [And he said], “My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. .

Ayah 84
وَٱجْعَل And grant لِّى [for] me لِسَانَ a mention صِدْقٍ (of) honor فِى among ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ the later (generations).
English - And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations. .

Ayah 85
وَٱجْعَلْنِى And make me مِن of وَرَثَةِ (the) inheritors جَنَّةِ (of) Garden(s) ٱلنَّعِيمِ (of) Delight.
English - And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. .

Ayah 86
وَٱغْفِرْ And forgive لِأَبِىٓ my father. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he كَانَ is مِنَ of ٱلضَّآلِّينَ those astray.
English - And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray. .

Ayah 87
وَلَا And (do) not تُخْزِنِى disgrace me يَوْمَ (on the) Day يُبْعَثُونَ they are resurrected,
English - And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected – .

Ayah 88
يَوْمَ (The) Day لَا not يَنفَعُ will benefit مَالٌ wealth وَلَا and not بَنُونَ sons,
English - The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children .

Ayah 89
إِلَّا Except مَنْ (he) who أَتَى comes ٱللَّهَ (to) Allah بِقَلْبٍ with a heart سَلِيمٍ sound."
English - But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.” .

Ayah 90
وَأُزْلِفَتِ And (will be) brought near ٱلْجَنَّةُ the Paradise لِلْمُتَّقِينَ for the righteous.
English - And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous. .

Ayah 91
وَبُرِّزَتِ And (will be) made manifest ٱلْجَحِيمُ the Hellfire لِلْغَاوِينَ to the deviators.
English - And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, .

Ayah 92
وَقِيلَ And it will be said لَهُمْ to them, أَيْنَ "Where مَا (is) that كُنتُمْ you used تَعْبُدُونَ (to) worship
English - And it will be said to them, “Where are those you used to worship .

Ayah 93
مِن Besides Allah? دُونِ Besides Allah? ٱللَّهِ Besides Allah? هَلْ Can يَنصُرُونَكُمْ they help you أَوْ or يَنتَصِرُونَ help themselves?"
English - Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?” .

Ayah 94
فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ Then they will be overturned فِيهَا into it, هُمْ they وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ and the deviators
English - So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators .

وَجُنُودُ And (the) hosts إِبْلِيسَ (of) Iblis أَجْمَعُونَ all together.
English - And the soldiers of Iblees, all together. .

Ayah 96
قَالُوا۟ They (will) say وَهُمْ while they فِيهَا in it يَخْتَصِمُونَ (are) disputing,
English - They will say while they dispute therein, .

Ayah 97
تَٱللَّهِ "By Allah, إِن indeed, كُنَّا we were لَفِى surely in ضَلَٰلٍ error مُّبِينٍ clear
English - “By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error .

إِذْ When نُسَوِّيكُم we equated you بِرَبِّ with (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds. .

Ayah 99
وَمَآ And not أَضَلَّنَآ misguided us إِلَّا except ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ the criminals.
English - And no one misguided us except the criminals. .

Ayah 100
فَمَا So (now) not لَنَا we have مِن any شَٰفِعِينَ intercessors
English - So now we have no intercessors .

Ayah 101
وَلَا And not صَدِيقٍ a friend حَمِيمٍ close.
English - And not a devoted friend. .

Ayah 102
فَلَوْ Then if أَنَّ that لَنَا we had كَرَّةً a return, فَنَكُونَ then we could be مِنَ of ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers."
English - Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers…” .

Ayah 103
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely is a Sign, وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .

وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, لَهُوَ surely He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. .

كَذَّبَتْ Denied قَوْمُ (the) people نُوحٍ (of) Nuh ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers

إِذْ When قَالَ said لَهُمْ to them أَخُوهُمْ their brother نُوحٌ Nuh, أَلَا "Will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear (Allah)?

Ayah 107
إِنِّى Indeed, I am لَكُمْ to you رَسُولٌ a Messenger أَمِينٌ trustworthy.
English - Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. .

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me.
English - So fear Allah and obey me. .

Ayah 109
وَمَآ And not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask (of) you عَلَيْهِ for it مِنْ any أَجْرٍ payment. إِنْ Not أَجْرِىَ (is) my payment إِلَّا but عَلَىٰ from رَبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. .

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me."
English - So fear Allah and obey me.” .

Ayah 111
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, أَنُؤْمِنُ "Should we believe لَكَ in you وَٱتَّبَعَكَ while followed you ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ the lowest?"
English - They said, “Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?” .

Ayah 112
قَالَ He said, وَمَا "And what عِلْمِى (do) I know بِمَا of what كَانُوا۟ they used يَعْمَلُونَ (to) do?
English - He said, “And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? .

إِنْ Verily, حِسَابُهُمْ their account إِلَّا (is) but عَلَىٰ upon رَبِّى my Lord, لَوْ if تَشْعُرُونَ you perceive.
English - Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. .

Ayah 114
وَمَآ And not أَنَا۠ I am بِطَارِدِ the one to drive away ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers.
English - And I am not one to drive away the believers. .

Ayah 115
إِنْ Not أَنَا۠ I am إِلَّا but نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear."
English - I am only a clear warner.” .

Ayah 116
قَالُوا۟ They said, لَئِن "If لَّمْ not تَنتَهِ you desist, يَٰنُوحُ O Nuh! لَتَكُونَنَّ Surely you will be مِنَ of ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ those who are stoned."
English - They said, “If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned.” .

Ayah 117
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord! إِنَّ Indeed, قَوْمِى my people كَذَّبُونِ have denied me.
English - He said, “My Lord, indeed my people have denied me. .

Ayah 118
فَٱفْتَحْ So judge بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَهُمْ and between them فَتْحًا (with decisive) judgment, وَنَجِّنِى and save me وَمَن and who مَّعِىَ (are) with me مِنَ of ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers."
English - Then judge between me and them with decisive judgment and save me and those with me of the believers.” .

Ayah 119
فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ So We saved him وَمَن and who مَّعَهُۥ (were) with him فِى in ٱلْفُلْكِ the ship, ٱلْمَشْحُونِ laden.
English - So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. .

Ayah 120
ثُمَّ Then أَغْرَقْنَا We drowned بَعْدُ thereafter ٱلْبَاقِينَ the remaining ones.
English - Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. .

Ayah 121
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely, (is) a sign وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .

وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord لَهُوَ surely, He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.

إِذْ When قَالَ said لَهُمْ to them أَخُوهُمْ their brother هُودٌ Hud, أَلَا "Will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear (Allah)?

إِنِّى Indeed, I am لَكُمْ to you رَسُولٌ a Messenger أَمِينٌ trustworthy.

أَتَبْنُونَ Do you construct بِكُلِّ on every رِيعٍ elevation ءَايَةً a sign, تَعْبَثُونَ amusing yourselves,
English - Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves, .

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ And take for yourselves مَصَانِعَ strongholds لَعَلَّكُمْ that you may تَخْلُدُونَ live forever?
English - And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally? .

Ayah 130
وَإِذَا And when بَطَشْتُم you seize, بَطَشْتُمْ you seize جَبَّارِينَ (as) tyrants.
English - And when you strike, you strike as tyrants. .

Ayah 131
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me.
English - So fear Allah and obey me. .

Ayah 132
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱلَّذِىٓ the One Who أَمَدَّكُم has aided you بِمَا with what تَعْلَمُونَ you know,
English - And fear He who provided you with that which you know, .

أَمَدَّكُم He has aided you بِأَنْعَٰمٍ with cattle وَبَنِينَ and children,
English - Provided you with grazing livestock and children .

Ayah 134
وَجَنَّٰتٍ And gardens وَعُيُونٍ and springs.
English - And gardens and springs. .

Ayah 135
إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear عَلَيْكُمْ for you عَذَابَ (the) punishment يَوْمٍ (of) a Day عَظِيمٍ Great."
English - Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day.” .

Ayah 136
قَالُوا۟ They said, سَوَآءٌ "(It is) same عَلَيْنَآ to us أَوَعَظْتَ whether you advise أَمْ or لَمْ not تَكُن you are مِّنَ of ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ the advisors.
English - They said, “It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors. .

Ayah 137
إِنْ Not هَٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّا but خُلُقُ (the) custom ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people),
English - This is not but the custom of the former peoples, .

Ayah 138
وَمَا And not نَحْنُ we بِمُعَذَّبِينَ (are) the ones to be punished."
English - And we are not to be punished.” .

Ayah 139
فَكَذَّبُوهُ So they denied him, فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ then We destroyed them. إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely, is a sign, وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .

وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord لَهُوَ surely, He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.

كَذَّبَتْ Denied ثَمُودُ Thamud, ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers

إِذْ When, قَالَ said لَهُمْ to them أَخُوهُمْ their brother صَٰلِحٌ Salih, أَلَا "Will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear (Allah)?
English - When their brother Salih said to them, “Will you not fear Allah? .

Ayah 143
إِنِّى Indeed, I am لَكُمْ to you رَسُولٌ a Messenger أَمِينٌ trustworthy.
English - Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. .

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me.
English - So fear Allah and obey me. .

وَمَآ And not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask you عَلَيْهِ for it مِنْ any أَجْرٍ payment. إِنْ Not أَجْرِىَ (is) my payment إِلَّا except عَلَىٰ from رَبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. .

أَتُتْرَكُونَ Will you be left فِى in مَا what هَٰهُنَآ (is) here ءَامِنِينَ secure,
English - Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death], .

فِى In جَنَّٰتٍ gardens وَعُيُونٍ and springs,
English - Within gardens and springs .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 148
وَزُرُوعٍ And cornfields وَنَخْلٍ and date-palms طَلْعُهَا its spadix هَضِيمٌ soft?
English - And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 149
وَتَنْحِتُونَ And you carve مِنَ of ٱلْجِبَالِ the mountains, بُيُوتًا houses فَٰرِهِينَ skillfully.
English - And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill. .

Ayah 150
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me.
English - So fear Allah and obey me. .

Ayah 151
وَلَا And (do) not تُطِيعُوٓا۟ obey أَمْرَ (the) command ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ (of) the transgressors,
English - And do not obey the order of the transgressors, .

Ayah 152
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُفْسِدُونَ spread corruption فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَلَا and (do) not يُصْلِحُونَ reform."
English - Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend.” .

Ayah 153
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, إِنَّمَآ "Only أَنتَ you مِنَ (are) of ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ those bewitched.
English - They said, “You are only of those affected by magic. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 154
مَآ Not أَنتَ you إِلَّا (are) except بَشَرٌ a man مِّثْلُنَا like us, فَأْتِ so bring بِـَٔايَةٍ a sign, إِن if كُنتَ you مِنَ (are) of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful."
English - You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful.” .

Ayah 155
قَالَ He said, هَٰذِهِۦ "This نَاقَةٌ (is) a she-camel. لَّهَا For her شِرْبٌ (is a share of) drink, وَلَكُمْ and for you شِرْبُ (is a share of) drink يَوْمٍ (on) a day مَّعْلُومٍ known.
English - He said, “This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day. .

Ayah 156
وَلَا And (do) not تَمَسُّوهَا touch her بِسُوٓءٍ with harm, فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ lest seize you عَذَابُ (the) punishment يَوْمٍ (of) a Day عَظِيمٍ Great."
English - And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day.” .

Ayah 157
فَعَقَرُوهَا But they hamstrung her, فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ then they became نَٰدِمِينَ regretful.
English - But they hamstrung her and so became regretful. .

Ayah 158
فَأَخَذَهُمُ So seized them ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment. إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely is a sign, وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .

وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, لَهُوَ surely He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. .

كَذَّبَتْ Denied, قَوْمُ (the) people لُوطٍ (of) Lut, ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers.
English - The people of Lot denied the messengers .

إِذْ When قَالَ said لَهُمْ to them أَخُوهُمْ their brother لُوطٌ Lut, أَلَا "Will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear (Allah)?
English - When their brother Lot said to them, “Will you not fear Allah? .

Ayah 162
إِنِّى Indeed, I am لَكُمْ to you رَسُولٌ a Messenger أَمِينٌ trustworthy.

وَتَذَرُونَ And you leave مَا what خَلَقَ created لَكُمْ for you رَبُّكُم your Lord, مِّنْ of أَزْوَٰجِكُم your mates? بَلْ Nay, أَنتُمْ you قَوْمٌ (are) a people عَادُونَ transgressing."
English - And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 167
قَالُوا۟ They said, لَئِن "If لَّمْ not تَنتَهِ you desist, يَٰلُوطُ O Lut! لَتَكُونَنَّ Surely, you will be مِنَ of ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ the ones driven out."
English - They said, “If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 168
قَالَ He said, إِنِّى "Indeed, I am لِعَمَلِكُم (of) your deed مِّنَ of ٱلْقَالِينَ those who detest.
English - He said, “Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. .

Ayah 169
رَبِّ My Lord! نَجِّنِى Save me وَأَهْلِى and my family مِمَّا from what يَعْمَلُونَ they do."
English - My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do.” .

Ayah 170
فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ So We saved him وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ and his family أَجْمَعِينَ all,
English - So We saved him and his family, all, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 171
إِلَّا Except عَجُوزًا an old woman, فِى (was) among ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ those who remained behind.
English - Except an old woman among those who remained behind. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 172
ثُمَّ Then دَمَّرْنَا We destroyed ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ the others.
English - Then We destroyed the others. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 173
وَأَمْطَرْنَا And We rained عَلَيْهِم upon them مَّطَرًا a rain, فَسَآءَ and evil was مَطَرُ (was) the rain ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ (on) those who were warned.
English - And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 174
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely is a sign, وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 175
وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, لَهُوَ surely, He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 176
كَذَّبَ Denied أَصْحَٰبُ (the) companions لْـَٔيْكَةِ (of the) Wood, ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers.
English - The companions of the thicket denied the messengers .

Ayah 177
إِذْ When, قَالَ said لَهُمْ to them شُعَيْبٌ Shuaib, أَلَا "Will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear (Allah)?
English - When Shu‘ayb said to them, “Will you not fear Allah? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 178
إِنِّى Indeed, I am لَكُمْ to you رَسُولٌ a Messenger أَمِينٌ trustworthy.
English - Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 179
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah وَأَطِيعُونِ and obey me.
English - So fear Allah and obey me. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 180
وَمَآ And not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask (of) you عَلَيْهِ for it مِنْ any أَجْرٍ payment. إِنْ Not أَجْرِىَ (is) my payment إِلَّا except عَلَىٰ from رَبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. .

Ayah 181
أَوْفُوا۟ Give full ٱلْكَيْلَ measure وَلَا and (do) not تَكُونُوا۟ be مِنَ of ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ those who cause loss.
English - Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 182
وَزِنُوا۟ And weigh بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ with a balance, ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ [the] even.
English - And weigh with an even balance. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 183
وَلَا And (do) not تَبْخَسُوا۟ deprive ٱلنَّاسَ people أَشْيَآءَهُمْ (of) their things, وَلَا and (do) not تَعْثَوْا۟ commit evil فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth, مُفْسِدِينَ spreading corruption.
English - And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 184
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱلَّذِى the One Who خَلَقَكُمْ created you وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ and the generations ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ the former."
English - And fear He who created you and the former creation.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 185
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, إِنَّمَآ "Only أَنتَ you مِنَ (are) of ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ those bewitched.
English - They said, “You are only of those affected by magic. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 186
وَمَآ And not أَنتَ you إِلَّا (are) except بَشَرٌ a man مِّثْلُنَا like us, وَإِن and indeed, نَّظُنُّكَ we think you لَمِنَ surely (are) of ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ the liars.
English - You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 187
فَأَسْقِطْ Then cause to fall عَلَيْنَا upon us كِسَفًا fragments مِّنَ of ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky, إِن if كُنتَ you are مِنَ of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful."
English - So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful.” .

Ayah 188
قَالَ He said, رَبِّىٓ "My Lord أَعْلَمُ knows best بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do."
English - He said, “My Lord is most knowing of what you do.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 189
فَكَذَّبُوهُ But they denied him, فَأَخَذَهُمْ so seized them عَذَابُ (the) punishment يَوْمِ (of the) day ٱلظُّلَّةِ (of) the shadow. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it كَانَ was عَذَابَ (the) punishment يَوْمٍ (of) a Day عَظِيمٍ Great.
English - And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. .

Ayah 190
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely, is a sign وَمَا but not كَانَ are أَكْثَرُهُم most of them مُّؤْمِنِينَ believers.
English - Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. .

Ayah 191
وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord لَهُوَ surely, He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - And indeed, your Lord – He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. .

Ayah 192
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it لَتَنزِيلُ surely, is a Revelation رَبِّ (of the) Lord ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds.
English - And indeed, the Qur’an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. .

Ayah 193
نَزَلَ Has brought it down, بِهِ Has brought it down, ٱلرُّوحُ the Spirit ٱلْأَمِينُ [the] Trustworthy,
English - The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down .

Ayah 194
عَلَىٰ Upon قَلْبِكَ your heart, لِتَكُونَ that you may be مِنَ of ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ the warners
English - Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] – that you may be of the warners – .

Ayah 195
بِلِسَانٍ In language عَرَبِىٍّ Arabic مُّبِينٍ clear.
English - In a clear Arabic language. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 196
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it لَفِى surely, (is) in زُبُرِ (the) Scriptures ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people).
English - And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 197
أَوَلَمْ Is it not يَكُن Is it not لَّهُمْ to them ءَايَةً a sign أَن that يَعْلَمَهُۥ know it عُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ (the) scholars بَنِىٓ (of the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel?
English - And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? .

Ayah 198
وَلَوْ And if نَزَّلْنَٰهُ We (had) revealed it عَلَىٰ to بَعْضِ any ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ (of) the non-Arabs
English - And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 199
فَقَرَأَهُۥ And he (had) recited it عَلَيْهِم to them, مَّا not كَانُوا۟ they would بِهِۦ in it مُؤْمِنِينَ (be) believers.
English - And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 200
كَذَٰلِكَ Thus سَلَكْنَٰهُ We have inserted it فِى into قُلُوبِ (the) hearts ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ (of) the criminals.
English - Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 201
لَا Not يُؤْمِنُونَ they will believe بِهِۦ in it حَتَّىٰ until يَرَوُا۟ they see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment ٱلْأَلِيمَ [the] painful.
English - They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 202
فَيَأْتِيَهُم And it will come to them بَغْتَةً suddenly, وَهُمْ while they لَا (do) not يَشْعُرُونَ perceive.
English - And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 203
فَيَقُولُوا۟ Then they will say, هَلْ "Are نَحْنُ we مُنظَرُونَ (to be) reprieved?"
English - And they will say, “May we be reprieved?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 204
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا So is it for Our punishment يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ they wish to hasten?
English - So for Our punishment are they impatient? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 205
أَفَرَءَيْتَ Then have you seen إِن if مَّتَّعْنَٰهُمْ We let them enjoy سِنِينَ (for) years
English - Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 206
ثُمَّ Then جَآءَهُم comes to them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they were يُوعَدُونَ promised
English - And then there came to them that which they were promised? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 207
مَآ Not أَغْنَىٰ (will) avail عَنْهُم them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ enjoyment they were given? يُمَتَّعُونَ enjoyment they were given?
English - They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 208
وَمَآ And not أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed مِن any قَرْيَةٍ town إِلَّا but لَهَا it had مُنذِرُونَ warners
English - And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 209
ذِكْرَىٰ (To) remind, وَمَا and not كُنَّا We are ظَٰلِمِينَ unjust.
English - As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 210
وَمَا And not تَنَزَّلَتْ have brought it down بِهِ have brought it down ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ the devils.
English - And the devils have not brought the revelation down. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 211
وَمَا And not يَنۢبَغِى (it) suits لَهُمْ [for] them وَمَا and not يَسْتَطِيعُونَ they are able.
English - It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 212
إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they عَنِ from ٱلسَّمْعِ the hearing لَمَعْزُولُونَ (are) surely banished.
English - Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 213
فَلَا So (do) not تَدْعُ invoke مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah, إِلَٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ another فَتَكُونَ lest you be مِنَ of ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ those punished.
English - So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. .

Ayah 214
وَأَنذِرْ And warn عَشِيرَتَكَ your kindred ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ [the] closest.
English - And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 215
وَٱخْفِضْ And lower جَنَاحَكَ your wing لِمَنِ to (those) who ٱتَّبَعَكَ follow you مِنَ of ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers.
English - And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 216
فَإِنْ Then if عَصَوْكَ they disobey you فَقُلْ then say, إِنِّى "Indeed, I am بَرِىٓءٌ innocent مِّمَّا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do."
English - And if they disobey you, then say, “Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing.” .

Ayah 217
وَتَوَكَّلْ And put (your) trust عَلَى in ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful,
English - And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, .

Ayah 218
ٱلَّذِى The One Who يَرَىٰكَ sees you حِينَ when تَقُومُ you stand up
English - Who sees you when you arise .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 219
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ And your movements فِى among ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ those who prostrate.
English - And your movement among those who prostrate. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 220
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He هُوَ [He] ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer, ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower.
English - Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 221
هَلْ Shall أُنَبِّئُكُمْ I inform you عَلَىٰ upon مَن whom تَنَزَّلُ descend ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ the devils?
English - Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 222
تَنَزَّلُ They descend عَلَىٰ upon كُلِّ every أَفَّاكٍ liar أَثِيمٍ sinful.
English - They descend upon every sinful liar. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 223
يُلْقُونَ They pass on ٱلسَّمْعَ (what is) heard, وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ and most of them كَٰذِبُونَ (are) liars.
English - They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 224
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ And the poets - يَتَّبِعُهُمُ follow them ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ the deviators.
English - And the poets – [only] the deviators follow them; .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 225
أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see أَنَّهُمْ that they فِى in كُلِّ every وَادٍ valley يَهِيمُونَ [they] roam,
English - Do you not see that in every valley they roam .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 226
وَأَنَّهُمْ And that they يَقُولُونَ say مَا what لَا not يَفْعَلُونَ they do?
English - And that they say what they do not do? – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 227
إِلَّا Except ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous deeds وَذَكَرُوا۟ and remember ٱللَّهَ Allah كَثِيرًا much, وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ and defend themselves مِنۢ after بَعْدِ after مَا after ظُلِمُوا۟ they were wronged. وَسَيَعْلَمُ And will come to know ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوٓا۟ have wronged أَىَّ (to) what مُنقَلَبٍ return يَنقَلِبُونَ they will return.
English - Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. .
