Ayah 1
تَبَارَكَ Blessed is He ٱلَّذِى Who نَزَّلَ sent down ٱلْفُرْقَانَ the Criterion عَلَىٰ upon عَبْدِهِۦ His slave لِيَكُونَ that he may be لِلْعَٰلَمِينَ to the worlds نَذِيرًا a warner -
English - Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 2
ٱلَّذِى The One Who - لَهُۥ to Him (belongs) مُلْكُ (the) dominion ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth, وَلَمْ and not يَتَّخِذْ He has taken وَلَدًا a son, وَلَمْ and not يَكُن He has لَّهُۥ for Him شَرِيكٌ a partner فِى in ٱلْمُلْكِ the dominion وَخَلَقَ and He (has) created كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing, فَقَدَّرَهُۥ and determined it تَقْدِيرًا (with) determination.
English - He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 3
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ Yet they have taken مِن besides Him دُونِهِۦٓ besides Him ءَالِهَةً gods لَّا not يَخْلُقُونَ they create شَيْـًٔا anything, وَهُمْ while they يُخْلَقُونَ are created, وَلَا and not يَمْلِكُونَ they possess لِأَنفُسِهِمْ for themselves ضَرًّا any harm وَلَا and not نَفْعًا any benefit, وَلَا and not يَمْلِكُونَ they control مَوْتًا death وَلَا and not حَيَوٰةً life وَلَا and not نُشُورًا resurrection.
English - But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 4
وَقَالَ And say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieve, إِنْ "Not هَٰذَآ this إِلَّآ (is) but إِفْكٌ a lie, ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ he invented it وَأَعَانَهُۥ and helped him عَلَيْهِ at it قَوْمٌ people ءَاخَرُونَ other." فَقَدْ But verily, جَآءُو they (have) produced ظُلْمًا an injustice وَزُورًا and a lie.
English - And those who disbelieve say, “This [Qur’an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it.” But they have committed an injustice and a lie. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 5
وَقَالُوٓا۟ And they say, أَسَٰطِيرُ "Tales ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former people ٱكْتَتَبَهَا which he has had written فَهِىَ and they تُمْلَىٰ are dictated عَلَيْهِ to him بُكْرَةً morning وَأَصِيلًا and evening."
English - And they say, “Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 6
قُلْ Say, أَنزَلَهُ "Has sent it down ٱلَّذِى the One Who يَعْلَمُ knows ٱلسِّرَّ the secret فِى in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He كَانَ is غَفُورًا Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمًا Most Merciful."
English - Say, [O Muhammad], “It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 7
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, مَالِ "Why does هَٰذَا this ٱلرَّسُولِ Messenger يَأْكُلُ eat ٱلطَّعَامَ [the] food وَيَمْشِى and walk فِى in ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ the markets? لَوْلَآ Why not أُنزِلَ is sent down إِلَيْهِ to him مَلَكٌ an Angel فَيَكُونَ then he be مَعَهُۥ with him نَذِيرًا a warner?
English - And they say, “What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 8
أَوْ Or يُلْقَىٰٓ is delivered إِلَيْهِ to him كَنزٌ a treasure أَوْ or تَكُونُ is لَهُۥ for him جَنَّةٌ a garden, يَأْكُلُ he may eat مِنْهَا from it? وَقَالَ And say ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers, إِن "Not تَتَّبِعُونَ you follow إِلَّا but رَجُلًا a man مَّسْحُورًا bewitched."
English - Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?” And the wrongdoers say, “You follow not but a man affected by magic.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 9
ٱنظُرْ See كَيْفَ how ضَرَبُوا۟ they set forth لَكَ for you ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ the similitudes, فَضَلُّوا۟ but they have gone astray, فَلَا so not يَسْتَطِيعُونَ they are able (to find) سَبِيلًا a way.
English - Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 10
تَبَارَكَ Blessed is He ٱلَّذِىٓ Who إِن if شَآءَ He willed جَعَلَ (could have) made لَكَ for you خَيْرًا better مِّن than ذَٰلِكَ that - جَنَّٰتٍ gardens - تَجْرِى flow مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath it ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers وَيَجْعَل and He (could) make لَّكَ for you قُصُورًۢا palaces.
English - Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that – gardens beneath which rivers flow – and could make for you palaces. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 11
بَلْ Nay, كَذَّبُوا۟ they deny بِٱلسَّاعَةِ the Hour وَأَعْتَدْنَا and We have prepared لِمَن for (those) who كَذَّبَ deny بِٱلسَّاعَةِ the Hour, سَعِيرًا a Blazing Fire.
English - But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 12
إِذَا When رَأَتْهُم it sees them مِّن from مَّكَانٍۭ a place بَعِيدٍ far, سَمِعُوا۟ they will hear لَهَا its تَغَيُّظًا raging وَزَفِيرًا and roaring.
English - When the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 13
وَإِذَآ And when أُلْقُوا۟ they are thrown مِنْهَا thereof مَكَانًا (in) a place ضَيِّقًا narrow مُّقَرَّنِينَ bound in chains, دَعَوْا۟ they will call هُنَالِكَ there ثُبُورًا (for) destruction.
English - And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 14
لَّا "(Do) not تَدْعُوا۟ call ٱلْيَوْمَ this day ثُبُورًا (for) destruction وَٰحِدًا one, وَٱدْعُوا۟ but call ثُبُورًا (for) destructions كَثِيرًا many."
English - [They will be told], “Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 15
قُلْ Say, أَذَٰلِكَ "Is that خَيْرٌ better أَمْ or جَنَّةُ Garden ٱلْخُلْدِ (of) Eternity, ٱلَّتِى which وُعِدَ is promised ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ (to) the righteous? كَانَتْ It will be لَهُمْ for them جَزَآءً a reward وَمَصِيرًا and destination.
English - Say, “Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 16
لَّهُمْ For them فِيهَا therein مَا (is) whatever يَشَآءُونَ they wish, خَٰلِدِينَ they will abide forever. كَانَ It is عَلَىٰ on رَبِّكَ your Lord وَعْدًا a promise مَّسْـُٔولًا requested."
English - For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 17
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يَحْشُرُهُمْ He will gather them وَمَا and what يَعْبُدُونَ they worship مِن besides Allah دُونِ besides Allah ٱللَّهِ besides Allah فَيَقُولُ and He will say, ءَأَنتُمْ "Did you أَضْلَلْتُمْ [you] mislead عِبَادِى My slaves هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these أَمْ or هُمْ they ضَلُّوا۟ went astray ٱلسَّبِيلَ (from) the way?"
English - And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, “Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 18
قَالُوا۟ They say, سُبْحَٰنَكَ "Glory be to You! مَا Not كَانَ it was proper يَنۢبَغِى it was proper لَنَآ for us أَن that نَّتَّخِذَ we take مِن besides You دُونِكَ besides You مِنْ any أَوْلِيَآءَ protectors. وَلَٰكِن But مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ You gave them comforts وَءَابَآءَهُمْ and their forefathers حَتَّىٰ until نَسُوا۟ they forgot ٱلذِّكْرَ the Message وَكَانُوا۟ and became قَوْمًۢا a people بُورًا ruined."
English - They will say, “Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 19
فَقَدْ "So verily, كَذَّبُوكُم they deny you بِمَا in what تَقُولُونَ you say, فَمَا so not تَسْتَطِيعُونَ you are able صَرْفًا (to) avert وَلَا and not نَصْرًا (to) help." وَمَن And whoever يَظْلِم does wrong مِّنكُمْ among you, نُذِقْهُ We will make him taste عَذَابًا a punishment كَبِيرًا great.
English - So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you – We will make him taste a great punishment. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 20
وَمَآ And not أَرْسَلْنَا We sent قَبْلَكَ before you مِنَ any ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ Messengers إِلَّآ but إِنَّهُمْ indeed, they لَيَأْكُلُونَ [surely] ate ٱلطَّعَامَ food وَيَمْشُونَ and walked فِى in ٱلْأَسْوَاقِ the markets. وَجَعَلْنَا And We have made بَعْضَكُمْ some of you لِبَعْضٍ for others فِتْنَةً a trial, أَتَصْبِرُونَ will you have patience? وَكَانَ And is رَبُّكَ your Lord بَصِيرًا All-Seer.
English - And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others – will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 21
وَقَالَ And said ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا (do) not يَرْجُونَ expect لِقَآءَنَا (the) meeting with Us, لَوْلَآ "Why not أُنزِلَ are sent down عَلَيْنَا to us ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels أَوْ or نَرَىٰ we see رَبَّنَا our Lord?" لَقَدِ Indeed, ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ they have become arrogant فِىٓ within أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves وَعَتَوْ and (become) insolent عُتُوًّا (with) insolence كَبِيرًا great.
English - And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, “Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?” They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 22
يَوْمَ (The) Day يَرَوْنَ they see ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ the Angels, لَا no بُشْرَىٰ glad tidings يَوْمَئِذٍ (will be) that Day لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ for the criminals, وَيَقُولُونَ and they will say, حِجْرًا "A partition مَّحْجُورًا forbidden."
English - The day they see the angels – no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, “Prevented and inaccessible.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 23
وَقَدِمْنَآ And We will proceed إِلَىٰ to مَا whatever عَمِلُوا۟ they did مِنْ of عَمَلٍ (the) deed(s), فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ and We will make them هَبَآءً (as) dust مَّنثُورًا dispersed.
English - And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 24
أَصْحَٰبُ (The) companions ٱلْجَنَّةِ (of) Paradise, يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day, خَيْرٌ (will be in) a better مُّسْتَقَرًّا abode, وَأَحْسَنُ and a better مَقِيلًا resting-place.
English - The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 25
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day تَشَقَّقُ will split open ٱلسَّمَآءُ the heavens بِٱلْغَمَٰمِ with the clouds وَنُزِّلَ and (will be) sent down ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels, تَنزِيلًا descending.
English - And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 26
ٱلْمُلْكُ The Sovereignty, يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day ٱلْحَقُّ (will be) truly, لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ for the Most Gracious. وَكَانَ And (it will) be يَوْمًا a Day عَلَى for ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers عَسِيرًا difficult.
English - True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 27
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يَعَضُّ will bite ٱلظَّالِمُ the wrongdoer عَلَىٰ [on] يَدَيْهِ his hands, يَقُولُ he will say, يَٰلَيْتَنِى "O I wish! ٱتَّخَذْتُ I had taken مَعَ with ٱلرَّسُولِ the Messenger سَبِيلًا a way.
English - And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, “Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 28
يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰ O woe to me! لَيْتَنِى I wish لَمْ not أَتَّخِذْ I had taken فُلَانًا that one خَلِيلًا (as) a friend.
English - Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 29
لَّقَدْ Verily, أَضَلَّنِى he led me astray عَنِ from ٱلذِّكْرِ the Reminder بَعْدَ after إِذْ [when] جَآءَنِى it (had) come to me. وَكَانَ And is ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ the Shaitaan لِلْإِنسَٰنِ to the man خَذُولًا a deserter."
English - He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 30
وَقَالَ And said ٱلرَّسُولُ the Messenger, يَٰرَبِّ "O my Lord! إِنَّ Indeed, قَوْمِى my people ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ took هَٰذَا this ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran مَهْجُورًا (as) a forsaken thing."
English - And the Messenger has said, “O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur’an as [a thing] abandoned.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 31
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus جَعَلْنَا We have made لِكُلِّ for every نَبِىٍّ Prophet عَدُوًّا an enemy, مِّنَ among ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals. وَكَفَىٰ But sufficient is بِرَبِّكَ your Lord, هَادِيًا (as) a Guide وَنَصِيرًا and a Helper.
English - And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 32
وَقَالَ And said ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve, لَوْلَا "Why not نُزِّلَ was revealed عَلَيْهِ to him ٱلْقُرْءَانُ the Quran جُمْلَةً all at once?" وَٰحِدَةً all at once?" كَذَٰلِكَ Thus, لِنُثَبِّتَ that We may strengthen بِهِۦ thereby فُؤَادَكَ your heart, وَرَتَّلْنَٰهُ and We have recited it تَرْتِيلًا (with distinct) recitation.
English - And those who disbelieve say, “Why was the Qur’an not revealed to him all at once?” Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 33
وَلَا And not يَأْتُونَكَ they come to you بِمَثَلٍ with an example إِلَّا but جِئْنَٰكَ We bring you بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth, وَأَحْسَنَ and (the) best تَفْسِيرًا explanation.
English - And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 34
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُحْشَرُونَ will be gathered عَلَىٰ on وُجُوهِهِمْ their faces إِلَىٰ to جَهَنَّمَ Hell, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those شَرٌّ (are the) worst مَّكَانًا (in) position وَأَضَلُّ and most astray سَبِيلًا (from the) way.
English - The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell – those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 35
وَلَقَدْ And verily, ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Scripture وَجَعَلْنَا and We appointed مَعَهُۥٓ with him أَخَاهُ his brother هَٰرُونَ Harun وَزِيرًا (as) an assistant.
English - And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 36
فَقُلْنَا Then We said, ٱذْهَبَآ "Go both of you إِلَى to ٱلْقَوْمِ the people, ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَذَّبُوا۟ have denied, بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا Our Signs." فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ Then We destroyed them تَدْمِيرًا (with) destruction.
English - And We said, “Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs.” Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 37
وَقَوْمَ And (the) people نُوحٍ (of) Nuh, لَّمَّا when كَذَّبُوا۟ they denied ٱلرُّسُلَ the Messengers, أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ We drowned them وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ and We made them لِلنَّاسِ for mankind ءَايَةً a sign. وَأَعْتَدْنَا And We have prepared لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ for the wrongdoers. عَذَابًا a punishment أَلِيمًا painful.
English - And the people of Noah – when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 38
وَعَادًا And Ad وَثَمُودَا۟ and Thamud وَأَصْحَٰبَ and (the) dwellers ٱلرَّسِّ (of) Ar-rass وَقُرُونًۢا and generations بَيْنَ between ذَٰلِكَ that كَثِيرًا many.
English - And [We destroyed] ‘Aad and Thamūd and the companions of the well and many generations between them. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 39
وَكُلًّا And each ضَرَبْنَا We have set forth لَهُ for him ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ the examples, وَكُلًّا and each تَبَّرْنَا We destroyed تَتْبِيرًا (with) destruction.
English - And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 40
وَلَقَدْ And verily, أَتَوْا۟ they have come عَلَى upon ٱلْقَرْيَةِ the town ٱلَّتِىٓ which أُمْطِرَتْ was showered مَطَرَ (with) a rain ٱلسَّوْءِ (of) evil. أَفَلَمْ Then do not يَكُونُوا۟ they [were] يَرَوْنَهَا see it? بَلْ Nay, كَانُوا۟ they are لَا not يَرْجُونَ expecting نُشُورًا Resurrection.
English - And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 41
وَإِذَا And when رَأَوْكَ they see you, إِن not يَتَّخِذُونَكَ they take you إِلَّا except هُزُوًا (in) mockery, أَهَٰذَا "Is this ٱلَّذِى the one whom بَعَثَ Allah has sent ٱللَّهُ Allah has sent رَسُولًا (as) a Messenger?
English - And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], “Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 42
إِن He would have almost كَادَ He would have almost لَيُضِلُّنَا [surely] misled us عَنْ from ءَالِهَتِنَا our gods لَوْلَآ if not أَن that صَبَرْنَا we had been steadfast عَلَيْهَا to them." وَسَوْفَ And soon يَعْلَمُونَ will know حِينَ when يَرَوْنَ they will see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment, مَنْ who أَضَلُّ (is) more astray سَبِيلًا (from the) way.
English - He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them.” But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 43
أَرَءَيْتَ Have you seen مَنِ (one) who ٱتَّخَذَ takes إِلَٰهَهُۥ (as) his god هَوَىٰهُ his own desire? أَفَأَنتَ Then would you تَكُونُ be عَلَيْهِ over him وَكِيلًا a guardian?
English - Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 44
أَمْ Or تَحْسَبُ do you think أَنَّ that أَكْثَرَهُمْ most of them يَسْمَعُونَ hear أَوْ or يَعْقِلُونَ understand? إِنْ Not هُمْ they إِلَّا (are) except كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ like cattle. بَلْ Nay, هُمْ they أَضَلُّ (are) more astray سَبِيلًا (from the) way.
English - Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 45
أَلَمْ Do you not تَرَ see إِلَىٰ [to] رَبِّكَ your Lord كَيْفَ how مَدَّ He extends ٱلظِّلَّ the shadow? وَلَوْ And if شَآءَ He willed, لَجَعَلَهُۥ surely He (could) have made it سَاكِنًا stationary. ثُمَّ Then جَعَلْنَا We made ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun عَلَيْهِ for it دَلِيلًا an indication.
English - Have you not considered your Lord – how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 46
ثُمَّ Then قَبَضْنَٰهُ We withdraw it إِلَيْنَا to Us, قَبْضًا a withdrawal يَسِيرًا gradual.
English - Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 47
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you ٱلَّيْلَ the night لِبَاسًا (as) a covering وَٱلنَّوْمَ and the sleep سُبَاتًا a rest وَجَعَلَ and made ٱلنَّهَارَ the day نُشُورًا a resurrection.
English - And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 48
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَرْسَلَ sends ٱلرِّيَٰحَ the winds بُشْرًۢا (as) glad tidings بَيْنَ before يَدَىْ before رَحْمَتِهِۦ His Mercy, وَأَنزَلْنَا and We send down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water طَهُورًا pure.
English - And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 49
لِّنُحْۦِىَ That We may give life بِهِۦ thereby بَلْدَةً (to) a land مَّيْتًا dead وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ and We give drink مِمَّا thereof خَلَقْنَآ (to those) We created, أَنْعَٰمًا cattle وَأَنَاسِىَّ and men كَثِيرًا many.
English - That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 50
وَلَقَدْ And verily, صَرَّفْنَٰهُ We have distributed it بَيْنَهُمْ among them لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ that they may remember, فَأَبَىٰٓ but refuse أَكْثَرُ most ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people إِلَّا except كُفُورًا disbelief.
English - And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 51
وَلَوْ And if شِئْنَا We willed, لَبَعَثْنَا surely, We (would) have raised فِى in كُلِّ every قَرْيَةٍ town نَّذِيرًا a warner.
English - And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 52
فَلَا So (do) not تُطِعِ obey ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers وَجَٰهِدْهُم and strive (against) them بِهِۦ with it, جِهَادًا a striving كَبِيرًا great.
English - So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur’an a great striving. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 53
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who مَرَجَ (has) released ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ the two seas هَٰذَا [this] (one) عَذْبٌ palatable فُرَاتٌ and sweet وَهَٰذَا and [this] (one) مِلْحٌ salty أُجَاجٌ (and) bitter, وَجَعَلَ and He has made بَيْنَهُمَا between them بَرْزَخًا a barrier وَحِجْرًا and a partition مَّحْجُورًا forbidden.
English - And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 54
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَ has created مِنَ from ٱلْمَآءِ the water بَشَرًا human being فَجَعَلَهُۥ and has made (for) him نَسَبًا blood relationship وَصِهْرًا and marriage relationship. وَكَانَ And is رَبُّكَ your Lord قَدِيرًا All-Powerful.
English - And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 55
وَيَعْبُدُونَ But they worship مِن besides Allah دُونِ besides Allah ٱللَّهِ besides Allah مَا what لَا not profits them يَنفَعُهُمْ not profits them وَلَا and not يَضُرُّهُمْ harms them, وَكَانَ and is ٱلْكَافِرُ the disbeliever عَلَىٰ against رَبِّهِۦ his Lord ظَهِيرًا a helper.
English - But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 56
وَمَآ And not أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ We sent you إِلَّا except مُبَشِّرًا (as) a bearer of glad tidings وَنَذِيرًا and a warner.
English - And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 57
قُلْ Say, مَآ "Not أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ I ask (of) you عَلَيْهِ for it مِنْ any أَجْرٍ payment, إِلَّا except مَن (that) whoever wills شَآءَ (that) whoever wills أَن to يَتَّخِذَ take إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِۦ his Lord سَبِيلًا a way."
English - Say, “I do not ask of you for it any payment – only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 58
وَتَوَكَّلْ And put your trust عَلَى in ٱلْحَىِّ the Ever-Living, ٱلَّذِى the One Who لَا does not die, يَمُوتُ does not die, وَسَبِّحْ and glorify بِحَمْدِهِۦ with His Praise. وَكَفَىٰ And sufficient is بِهِۦ He بِذُنُوبِ regarding the sins عِبَادِهِۦ (of) His slaves, خَبِيرًا All-Aware,
English - And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 59
ٱلَّذِى The One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between them فِى in سِتَّةِ six أَيَّامٍ periods, ثُمَّ then ٱسْتَوَىٰ He established Himself عَلَى over ٱلْعَرْشِ the Throne - ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ the Most Gracious, فَسْـَٔلْ so ask بِهِۦ Him خَبِيرًا (as He is) All-Aware.
English - He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne – the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 60
وَإِذَا And when قِيلَ it is said لَهُمُ to them, ٱسْجُدُوا۟ "Prostrate لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ to the Most Gracious." قَالُوا۟ They say, وَمَا "And what ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ (is) the Most Gracious? أَنَسْجُدُ Should we prostrate لِمَا to what تَأْمُرُنَا you order us?" وَزَادَهُمْ And it increases them نُفُورًا (in) aversion.
English - And when it is said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Merciful,” they say, “And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?” And it increases them in aversion. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 61
تَبَارَكَ Blessed is He ٱلَّذِى Who جَعَلَ has placed فِى in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the skies بُرُوجًا constellations وَجَعَلَ and has placed فِيهَا therein سِرَٰجًا a lamp وَقَمَرًا and a moon مُّنِيرًا shining.
English - Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 62
وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made ٱلَّيْلَ the night وَٱلنَّهَارَ and the day خِلْفَةً (in) succession لِّمَنْ for whoever أَرَادَ desires أَن to يَذَّكَّرَ remember أَوْ or أَرَادَ desires شُكُورًا to be thankful.
English - And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 63
وَعِبَادُ And (the) slaves ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those who يَمْشُونَ walk عَلَى on ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth هَوْنًا (in) humbleness وَإِذَا and when خَاطَبَهُمُ address them ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ the ignorant ones, قَالُوا۟ they say, سَلَٰمًا "Peace."
English - And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 64
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَبِيتُونَ spend (the) night لِرَبِّهِمْ before their Lord, سُجَّدًا prostrating وَقِيَٰمًا and standing.
English - And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer] .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 65
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَقُولُونَ say, رَبَّنَا "Our Lord! ٱصْرِفْ Avert عَنَّا from us عَذَابَ the punishment جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell. إِنَّ Indeed, عَذَابَهَا its punishment كَانَ is غَرَامًا inseparable,
English - And those who say, “Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering; .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 66
إِنَّهَا Indeed, it سَآءَتْ (is) an evil مُسْتَقَرًّا abode وَمُقَامًا and resting place."
English - Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 67
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who, إِذَآ when أَنفَقُوا۟ they spend, لَمْ (are) not extravagant يُسْرِفُوا۟ (are) not extravagant وَلَمْ and are not stingy يَقْتُرُوا۟ and are not stingy وَكَانَ but are بَيْنَ between ذَٰلِكَ that - قَوَامًا moderate.
English - And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 68
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who لَا (do) not يَدْعُونَ invoke مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah إِلَٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ another, وَلَا and (do) not يَقْتُلُونَ [they] kill ٱلنَّفْسَ the soul ٱلَّتِى which حَرَّمَ Allah has forbidden ٱللَّهُ Allah has forbidden إِلَّا except بِٱلْحَقِّ by right وَلَا and (do) not يَزْنُونَ commit unlawful sexual intercourse. وَمَن And whoever يَفْعَلْ does ذَٰلِكَ that يَلْقَ will meet أَثَامًا a penalty.
English - And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 69
يُضَٰعَفْ Will be doubled لَهُ for him ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) Resurrection, وَيَخْلُدْ and he will abide forever فِيهِۦ therein مُهَانًا humiliated
English - Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 70
إِلَّا Except مَن (he) who تَابَ repents وَءَامَنَ and believes وَعَمِلَ and does عَمَلًا righteous deeds, صَٰلِحًا righteous deeds, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then (for) those يُبَدِّلُ Allah will replace ٱللَّهُ Allah will replace سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ their evil deeds حَسَنَٰتٍ (with) good ones. وَكَانَ And is ٱللَّهُ Allah غَفُورًا Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمًا Most Merciful.
English - Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 71
وَمَن And whoever تَابَ repents وَعَمِلَ and does صَٰلِحًا righteous (deeds), فَإِنَّهُۥ then indeed, he يَتُوبُ turns إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah مَتَابًا (with) repentance.
English - And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 72
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who لَا (do) not يَشْهَدُونَ bear witness ٱلزُّورَ (to) the falsehood, وَإِذَا and when مَرُّوا۟ they pass بِٱللَّغْوِ by futility, مَرُّوا۟ they pass كِرَامًا (as) dignified ones
English - And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 73
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who, إِذَا when ذُكِّرُوا۟ they are reminded بِـَٔايَٰتِ of (the) Verses رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord, لَمْ (do) not يَخِرُّوا۟ fall عَلَيْهَا upon them صُمًّا deaf وَعُمْيَانًا and blind.
English - And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 74
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَقُولُونَ say, رَبَّنَا "Our Lord! هَبْ Grant لَنَا to us مِنْ from أَزْوَٰجِنَا our spouses وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا and our offspring قُرَّةَ comfort أَعْيُنٍ (to) our eyes, وَٱجْعَلْنَا and make us لِلْمُتَّقِينَ for the righteous إِمَامًا a leader."
English - And those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.” .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 75
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those يُجْزَوْنَ will be awarded ٱلْغُرْفَةَ the Chamber بِمَا because صَبَرُوا۟ they were patient وَيُلَقَّوْنَ and they will be met فِيهَا therein تَحِيَّةً (with) greetings وَسَلَٰمًا and peace.
English - Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 76
خَٰلِدِينَ Will abide forever فِيهَا in it. حَسُنَتْ Good مُسْتَقَرًّا (is) the settlement وَمُقَامًا and a resting place.
English - Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 77
قُلْ Say, مَا "Not يَعْبَؤُا۟ will care بِكُمْ for you رَبِّى my Lord, لَوْلَا if not دُعَآؤُكُمْ your prayer (is to Him). فَقَدْ But verily, كَذَّبْتُمْ you have denied, فَسَوْفَ so soon يَكُونُ will be لِزَامًۢا the inevitable (punishment)."
English - Say, “What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?” For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent. .
हिंदी - .
