Ayah 1
كٓهيعٓصٓ Kaaf Ha Ya Ain Sad.
English - Kaf, Ha, Ya, ‘Ayn, Sad. .
हिंदी - काफ़, हा, या, ऐन, साद।.
Ayah 2
ذِكْرُ (A) mention رَحْمَتِ (of the) Mercy رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord عَبْدَهُۥ (to) His servant زَكَرِيَّآ Zakariya
English - [This is] a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah .
हिंदी - तुम्हारे रब की मेहरबानी का ज़िक्र है अपने बंदे ज़करिय्या पर।.
Ayah 3
إِذْ When نَادَىٰ he called رَبَّهُۥ (to) his Lord نِدَآءً a call - خَفِيًّا secret.
English - When he called to his Lord a private supplication. .
हिंदी - जब ज़करिय्या ने अपने रब को धीमी आवाज़ से पुकारा।.
Ayah 4
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord! إِنِّى Indeed, [I] وَهَنَ (have) weakened ٱلْعَظْمُ my bones, مِنِّى my bones, وَٱشْتَعَلَ and flared ٱلرَّأْسُ (my) head شَيْبًا (with) white, وَلَمْ and not أَكُنۢ I have been بِدُعَآئِكَ in (my) supplication (to) You رَبِّ my Lord شَقِيًّا unblessed.
English - He said, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy. .
हिंदी - उसने कहा, ऐ मेरे पालनहार, मेरी हड्डियाँ कमज़ोर हो र्गइं, और सर बुढ़ापे से भड़क उठा और ऐ मेरे रब मैं तुझ से दुआ कर के कभी महरूम नहीं रहा।.
Ayah 5
وَإِنِّى And indeed, I خِفْتُ [I] fear ٱلْمَوَٰلِىَ the successors مِن after me, وَرَآءِى after me, وَكَانَتِ and is ٱمْرَأَتِى my wife عَاقِرًا barren. فَهَبْ So give لِى [to] me مِن from لَّدُنكَ Yourself وَلِيًّا an heir
English - And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 6
يَرِثُنِى Who will inherit me وَيَرِثُ and inherit مِنْ from ءَالِ (the) family يَعْقُوبَ (of) Yaqub. وَٱجْعَلْهُ And make him رَبِّ my Lord, رَضِيًّا pleasing."
English - Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 7
يَٰزَكَرِيَّآ "O Zakariya! إِنَّا Indeed, We نُبَشِّرُكَ [We] give you glad tidings بِغُلَٰمٍ of a boy ٱسْمُهُۥ his name يَحْيَىٰ (will be) Yahya, لَمْ not نَجْعَل We (have) assigned لَّهُۥ [for] it مِن before قَبْلُ before سَمِيًّا (this) name."
English - [He was told], "O Zechariah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be John. We have not assigned to any before [this] name." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 8
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord! أَنَّىٰ How يَكُونُ can لِى I have غُلَٰمٌ a boy, وَكَانَتِ while is ٱمْرَأَتِى my wife عَاقِرًا barren, وَقَدْ and indeed, بَلَغْتُ I have reached مِنَ of ٱلْكِبَرِ the old age عِتِيًّا extreme?"
English - He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when my wife has been barren and I have reached extreme old age?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 9
قَالَ He said, كَذَٰلِكَ "Thus, قَالَ said رَبُّكَ your Lord, هُوَ 'It عَلَىَّ (is) easy for Me هَيِّنٌ (is) easy for Me وَقَدْ and certainly خَلَقْتُكَ I (have) created you مِن before, قَبْلُ before, وَلَمْ while not تَكُ you were شَيْـًٔا anything.'"
English - [An angel] said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, for I created you before, while you were nothing.' " .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 10
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord! ٱجْعَل Make لِّىٓ for me ءَايَةً a sign." قَالَ He said, ءَايَتُكَ "Your sign أَلَّا (is) that not تُكَلِّمَ you will speak ٱلنَّاسَ (to) the people, ثَلَٰثَ (for) three لَيَالٍ nights سَوِيًّا sound."
English - [Zechariah] said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 11
فَخَرَجَ Then he came out عَلَىٰ to قَوْمِهِۦ his people مِنَ from ٱلْمِحْرَابِ the prayer chamber, فَأَوْحَىٰٓ and he signaled إِلَيْهِمْ to them أَن to سَبِّحُوا۟ glorify (Allah) بُكْرَةً (in) the morning وَعَشِيًّا and (in) the evening.
English - So he came out to his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them to exalt [Allah] in the morning and afternoon. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 12
يَٰيَحْيَىٰ "O Yahya! خُذِ Hold ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Scripture بِقُوَّةٍ with strength." وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ And We gave him ٱلْحُكْمَ [the] wisdom صَبِيًّا (when he was) a child
English - [Allah] said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave him judgment [while yet] a boy .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 13
وَحَنَانًا And affection مِّن from لَّدُنَّا Us وَزَكَوٰةً and purity وَكَانَ and he was تَقِيًّا righteous
English - And affection from Us and purity, and he was fearing of Allah .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 14
وَبَرًّۢا And dutiful بِوَٰلِدَيْهِ to his parents, وَلَمْ and not يَكُن he was جَبَّارًا a tyrant عَصِيًّا disobedient.
English - And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 15
وَسَلَٰمٌ And peace be عَلَيْهِ upon him يَوْمَ (the) day وُلِدَ he was born وَيَوْمَ and (the) day يَمُوتُ he dies وَيَوْمَ and (the) day يُبْعَثُ he will be raised حَيًّا alive.
English - And peace be upon him the day he was born and the day he dies and the day he is raised alive. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 16
وَٱذْكُرْ And mention فِى in ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book مَرْيَمَ Maryam, إِذِ when ٱنتَبَذَتْ she withdrew مِنْ from أَهْلِهَا her family مَكَانًا (to) a place شَرْقِيًّا eastern.
English - And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 17
فَٱتَّخَذَتْ Then she took مِن from them دُونِهِمْ from them حِجَابًا a screen. فَأَرْسَلْنَآ Then We sent إِلَيْهَا to her رُوحَنَا Our Spirit فَتَمَثَّلَ then he assumed for her the likeness لَهَا then he assumed for her the likeness بَشَرًا (of) a man سَوِيًّا well-proportioned.
English - And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he represented himself to her as a well-proportioned man. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 18
قَالَتْ She said, إِنِّىٓ "Indeed, I أَعُوذُ [I] seek refuge بِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ with the Most Gracious مِنكَ from you إِن if كُنتَ you are تَقِيًّا God fearing."
English - She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, [so leave me], if you should be fearing of Allah." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 19
قَالَ He said, إِنَّمَآ "Only أَنَا۠ I am رَسُولُ a Messenger رَبِّكِ (from) your Lord, لِأَهَبَ that I (may) bestow لَكِ on you غُلَٰمًا a son زَكِيًّا pure."
English - He said, "I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you [news of] a pure boy." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 20
قَالَتْ She said, أَنَّىٰ "How يَكُونُ can be لِى for me غُلَٰمٌ a son, وَلَمْ when not يَمْسَسْنِى has touched me بَشَرٌ a man, وَلَمْ and not أَكُ I am بَغِيًّا unchaste?"
English - She said, "How can I have a boy while no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 21
قَالَ He said, كَذَٰلِكِ "Thus; قَالَ said رَبُّكِ your Lord, هُوَ 'It عَلَىَّ (is) for Me هَيِّنٌ easy, وَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓ and so that We will make him ءَايَةً a sign لِّلنَّاسِ for the mankind وَرَحْمَةً and a Mercy مِّنَّا from Us. وَكَانَ And (it) is أَمْرًا a matter مَّقْضِيًّا decreed.'"
English - He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.' " .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 22
فَحَمَلَتْهُ So she conceived him, فَٱنتَبَذَتْ and she withdrew بِهِۦ with him مَكَانًا (to) a place قَصِيًّا remote.
English - So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 23
فَأَجَآءَهَا Then drove her ٱلْمَخَاضُ the pains of childbirth إِلَىٰ to جِذْعِ (the) trunk ٱلنَّخْلَةِ (of) the date-palm. قَالَتْ She said, يَٰلَيْتَنِى "O! I wish مِتُّ I (had) died قَبْلَ before هَٰذَا this وَكُنتُ and I was نَسْيًا (in) oblivion, مَّنسِيًّا forgotten."
English - And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 24
فَنَادَىٰهَا So cried to her مِن from تَحْتِهَآ beneath her, أَلَّا "That (do) not تَحْزَنِى grieve قَدْ verily, جَعَلَ (has) placed رَبُّكِ your Lord تَحْتَكِ beneath you, سَرِيًّا a stream.
English - But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 25
وَهُزِّىٓ And shake إِلَيْكِ towards you بِجِذْعِ (the) trunk ٱلنَّخْلَةِ (of) the date-palm, تُسَٰقِطْ it will drop عَلَيْكِ upon you رُطَبًا fresh dates جَنِيًّا ripe.
English - And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 26
فَكُلِى So eat وَٱشْرَبِى and drink وَقَرِّى and cool عَيْنًا (your) eyes. فَإِمَّا And if تَرَيِنَّ you see مِنَ from ٱلْبَشَرِ human being أَحَدًا anyone فَقُولِىٓ then say, إِنِّى "Indeed, I نَذَرْتُ [I] have vowed لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ to the Most Gracious صَوْمًا a fast, فَلَنْ so not أُكَلِّمَ I will speak ٱلْيَوْمَ today إِنسِيًّا (to any) human being."
English - So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.' " .

Ayah 27
فَأَتَتْ Then she came بِهِۦ with him قَوْمَهَا (to) her people, تَحْمِلُهُۥ carrying him. قَالُوا۟ They said, يَٰمَرْيَمُ "O Maryam! لَقَدْ Certainly, جِئْتِ you (have) brought شَيْـًٔا an amazing thing. فَرِيًّا an amazing thing.
English - Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 28
يَٰٓأُخْتَ O sister هَٰرُونَ (of) Harun! مَا Not كَانَ was أَبُوكِ your father ٱمْرَأَ an evil man, سَوْءٍ an evil man, وَمَا and not كَانَتْ was أُمُّكِ your mother بَغِيًّا unchaste."
English - O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 29
فَأَشَارَتْ Then she pointed إِلَيْهِ to him. قَالُوا۟ They said, كَيْفَ "How نُكَلِّمُ (can) we speak مَن (to one) who كَانَ is فِى in ٱلْمَهْدِ the cradle, صَبِيًّا a child?"
English - So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 30
قَالَ He said, إِنِّى "Indeed, I am عَبْدُ a slave ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. ءَاتَىٰنِىَ He gave me ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Scripture وَجَعَلَنِى and made me نَبِيًّا a Prophet.
English - [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 31
وَجَعَلَنِى And He (has) made me مُبَارَكًا blessed أَيْنَ wherever مَا wherever كُنتُ I am وَأَوْصَٰنِى and has enjoined (on) me بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ [of] the prayer وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ and zakah, مَا as long as I am دُمْتُ as long as I am حَيًّا alive
English - And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 32
وَبَرًّۢا And dutiful بِوَٰلِدَتِى to my mother, وَلَمْ and not يَجْعَلْنِى He (has) made me جَبَّارًا insolent, شَقِيًّا unblessed.
English - And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 33
وَٱلسَّلَٰمُ And peace (be) عَلَىَّ on me يَوْمَ (the) day وُلِدتُّ I was born وَيَوْمَ and (the) day أَمُوتُ I will die وَيَوْمَ and (the) Day أُبْعَثُ I will be raised حَيًّا alive."
English - And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 34
ذَٰلِكَ That عِيسَى (was) Isa, ٱبْنُ (the) son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam, قَوْلَ a statement ٱلْحَقِّ (of) truth ٱلَّذِى that which فِيهِ about it يَمْتَرُونَ they dispute.
English - That is Jesus, the son of Mary – the word of truth about which they are in dispute. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 35
مَا Not كَانَ (it) is لِلَّهِ for Allah أَن that يَتَّخِذَ He should take مِن any son. وَلَدٍ any son. سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ Glory be to Him! إِذَا When قَضَىٰٓ He decrees أَمْرًا a matter, فَإِنَّمَا then only يَقُولُ He says لَهُۥ to it, كُن "Be" فَيَكُونُ and it is.
English - It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 36
وَإِنَّ "And indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah رَبِّى (is) my Lord وَرَبُّكُمْ and your Lord, فَٱعْبُدُوهُ so worship Him. هَٰذَا This صِرَٰطٌ (is) a path مُّسْتَقِيمٌ straight."
English - [Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 37
فَٱخْتَلَفَ But differed ٱلْأَحْزَابُ the sects مِنۢ from among them, بَيْنِهِمْ from among them, فَوَيْلٌ so woe لِّلَّذِينَ to those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve مِن from مَّشْهَدِ (the) witnessing يَوْمٍ (of) a Day عَظِيمٍ great.
English - Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved – from the scene of a tremendous Day. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 38
أَسْمِعْ How they will hear! بِهِمْ How they will hear! وَأَبْصِرْ and how (they will) see! يَوْمَ (the) Day يَأْتُونَنَا they will come to Us, لَٰكِنِ but ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers ٱلْيَوْمَ today فِى (are) in ضَلَٰلٍ error مُّبِينٍ clear.
English - How [clearly] they will hear and see the Day they come to Us, but the wrongdoers today are in clear error. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 39
وَأَنذِرْهُمْ And warn them يَوْمَ (of the) Day ٱلْحَسْرَةِ (of) the Regret, إِذْ when قُضِىَ has been decided ٱلْأَمْرُ the matter. وَهُمْ And they فِى (are) in غَفْلَةٍ heedlessness, وَهُمْ and they لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe.
English - And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 40
إِنَّا Indeed, We نَحْنُ [We] نَرِثُ [We] will inherit ٱلْأَرْضَ the earth وَمَنْ and whoever عَلَيْهَا (is) on it, وَإِلَيْنَا and to Us يُرْجَعُونَ they will be returned.
English - Indeed, it is We who will inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 41
وَٱذْكُرْ And mention فِى in ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book إِبْرَٰهِيمَ Ibrahim. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he كَانَ was صِدِّيقًا a man of truth, نَّبِيًّا a Prophet.
English - And mention in the Book [the story of] Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 42
إِذْ When قَالَ he said لِأَبِيهِ to his father, يَٰٓأَبَتِ "O my father! لِمَ Why تَعْبُدُ (do) you worship مَا that which لَا not يَسْمَعُ hears وَلَا and not يُبْصِرُ sees وَلَا and not يُغْنِى benefits عَنكَ [to] you شَيْـًٔا (in) anything?
English - [Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 43
يَٰٓأَبَتِ O my father! إِنِّى Indeed, [I] قَدْ verily جَآءَنِى (has) come to me مِنَ of ٱلْعِلْمِ the knowledge مَا what لَمْ not يَأْتِكَ came to you, فَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓ so follow me; أَهْدِكَ I will guide you صِرَٰطًا (to) the path سَوِيًّا even.
English - O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 44
يَٰٓأَبَتِ O my father! لَا (Do) not تَعْبُدِ worship ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ the Shaitaan. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ the Shaitaan كَانَ is لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ to the Most Gracious عَصِيًّا disobedient.
English - O my father, do not worship Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 45
يَٰٓأَبَتِ O my father! إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I أَخَافُ [I] fear أَن that يَمَسَّكَ will touch you عَذَابٌ a punishment مِّنَ from ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious, فَتَكُونَ so you would be لِلشَّيْطَٰنِ to the Shaitaan وَلِيًّا a friend."
English - O my father, indeed I fear that there will touch you a punishment from the Most Merciful so you would be to Satan a companion [in Hellfire]." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 46
قَالَ He said, أَرَاغِبٌ "Do you hate أَنتَ "Do you hate عَنْ (from) ءَالِهَتِى my gods, يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ O Ibrahim? لَئِن Surely, if لَّمْ not تَنتَهِ you desist لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ surely, I will stone you, وَٱهْجُرْنِى so leave me مَلِيًّا (for) a prolonged time."
English - [His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 47
قَالَ He said, سَلَٰمٌ "Peace (be) عَلَيْكَ on you. سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ I will ask forgiveness لَكَ for you رَبِّىٓ (from) my Lord. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He كَانَ is بِى to me حَفِيًّا Ever Gracious.
English - [Abraham] said, "Peace will be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed, He is ever gracious to me. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 48
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ And I will leave you وَمَا and what تَدْعُونَ you invoke مِن besides دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah وَأَدْعُوا۟ and I will invoke رَبِّى my Lord. عَسَىٰٓ May be أَلَّآ that not أَكُونَ I will be بِدُعَآءِ in invocation رَبِّى (to) my Lord شَقِيًّا unblessed."
English - And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allah and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 49
فَلَمَّا So when ٱعْتَزَلَهُمْ he left them وَمَا and what يَعْبُدُونَ they worshipped مِن besides Allah, دُونِ besides Allah, ٱللَّهِ besides Allah, وَهَبْنَا [and] We bestowed لَهُۥٓ [to] him إِسْحَٰقَ Isaac وَيَعْقُوبَ and Yaqub, وَكُلًّا and each (of them) جَعَلْنَا We made نَبِيًّا a Prophet.
English - So when he had left them and those they worshipped other than Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and each [of them] We made a prophet. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 50
وَوَهَبْنَا And We bestowed لَهُم to them مِّن of رَّحْمَتِنَا Our Mercy, وَجَعَلْنَا and We made لَهُمْ for them لِسَانَ a truthful mention, صِدْقٍ a truthful mention, عَلِيًّا high.
English - And We gave them of Our mercy, and we made for them a reputation of high honor. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 51
وَٱذْكُرْ And mention فِى in ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book, مُوسَىٰٓ Musa. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he كَانَ was مُخْلَصًا chosen وَكَانَ and was رَسُولًا a Messenger, نَّبِيًّا a Prophet.
English - And mention in the Book, Moses. Indeed, he was chosen, and he was a messenger and a prophet. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 52
وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ And We called him مِن from جَانِبِ (the) side ٱلطُّورِ (of) the Mount ٱلْأَيْمَنِ the right, وَقَرَّبْنَٰهُ and brought him near نَجِيًّا (for) conversation.
English - And We called him from the side of the mount at [his] right and brought him near, confiding [to him]. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 53
وَوَهَبْنَا And We bestowed لَهُۥ [to] him مِن from رَّحْمَتِنَآ Our Mercy أَخَاهُ his brother هَٰرُونَ Harun, نَبِيًّا a Prophet.
English - And We gave him out of Our mercy his brother Aaron as a prophet. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 54
وَٱذْكُرْ And mention فِى in ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book, إِسْمَٰعِيلَ Ishmael. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he كَانَ was صَادِقَ true ٱلْوَعْدِ (to his) promise وَكَانَ and was رَسُولًا a Messenger - نَّبِيًّا a Prophet.
English - And mention in the Book, Ishmael. Indeed, he was true to his promise, and he was a messenger and a prophet. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 55
وَكَانَ And he used يَأْمُرُ (to) enjoin أَهْلَهُۥ (on) his people بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ the prayer وَٱلزَّكَوٰةِ and zakah وَكَانَ and was عِندَ near رَبِّهِۦ his Lord مَرْضِيًّا pleasing.
English - And he used to enjoin on his people prayer and zakah and was to his Lord pleasing. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 56
وَٱذْكُرْ And mention فِى in ٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book, إِدْرِيسَ Idris. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he كَانَ was صِدِّيقًا truthful, نَّبِيًّا a Prophet.
English - And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 57
وَرَفَعْنَٰهُ And We raised him مَكَانًا (to) a position عَلِيًّا high.
English - And We raised him to a high station. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 58
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those ٱلَّذِينَ (were) the ones whom أَنْعَمَ Allah bestowed favor ٱللَّهُ Allah bestowed favor عَلَيْهِم upon them مِّنَ from (among) ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ the Prophets, مِن of ذُرِّيَّةِ (the) offspring ءَادَمَ (of) Adam, وَمِمَّنْ and of those حَمَلْنَا We carried مَعَ with نُوحٍ Nuh وَمِن and of ذُرِّيَّةِ (the) offspring إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim وَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ and Israel وَمِمَّنْ and of (those) whom هَدَيْنَا We guided وَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ and We chose. إِذَا When تُتْلَىٰ were recited عَلَيْهِمْ to them ءَايَٰتُ (the) Verses ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious, خَرُّوا۟ they fell سُجَّدًا prostrating وَبُكِيًّا and weeping.
English - Those were the ones upon whom Allah bestowed favor from among the prophets of the descendants of Adam and of those We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and chose. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell in prostration and weeping. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 59
فَخَلَفَ Then succeeded مِنۢ after them بَعْدِهِمْ after them خَلْفٌ successors, أَضَاعُوا۟ who neglected ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ and they followed ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ the lusts فَسَوْفَ so soon, يَلْقَوْنَ they will meet غَيًّا evil
English - But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 60
إِلَّا Except مَن (one) who تَابَ repented وَءَامَنَ and believed وَعَمِلَ and did صَٰلِحًا good (deeds). فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Then those يَدْخُلُونَ will enter ٱلْجَنَّةَ Paradise وَلَا and not يُظْلَمُونَ they will be wronged شَيْـًٔا (in) anything.
English - Except those who repent, believe and do righteousness; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged at all. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 61
جَنَّٰتِ Gardens عَدْنٍ (of) Eden, ٱلَّتِى which وَعَدَ promised ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ the Most Gracious عِبَادَهُۥ (to) His slaves بِٱلْغَيْبِ in the unseen. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, [it] كَانَ is وَعْدُهُۥ His promise مَأْتِيًّا sure to come.
English - [Therein are] gardens of perpetual residence which the Most Merciful has promised His servants in the unseen. Indeed, His promise has ever been coming. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 62
لَّا Not يَسْمَعُونَ they will hear فِيهَا therein لَغْوًا vain talk إِلَّا but سَلَٰمًا peace. وَلَهُمْ And for them رِزْقُهُمْ (is) their provision فِيهَا therein, بُكْرَةً morning وَعَشِيًّا and evening.
English - They will not hear therein any ill speech – only [greetings of] peace – and they will have their provision therein, morning and afternoon. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 63
تِلْكَ This ٱلْجَنَّةُ (is) Paradise, ٱلَّتِى which نُورِثُ We give (as) inheritance مِنْ [of] (to) عِبَادِنَا Our slaves مَن (the one) who كَانَ is تَقِيًّا righteous.
English - That is Paradise, which We give as inheritance to those of Our servants who were fearing of Allah. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 64
وَمَا And not نَتَنَزَّلُ we descend إِلَّا except بِأَمْرِ by (the) Command رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord. لَهُۥ To Him (belongs) مَا what بَيْنَ (is) before us أَيْدِينَا (is) before us وَمَا and what خَلْفَنَا (is) behind us, وَمَا and what بَيْنَ (is) between ذَٰلِكَ that. وَمَا And not كَانَ is رَبُّكَ your Lord نَسِيًّا forgetful
English - [Gabriel said], "And we [angels] descend not except by the order of your Lord. To Him belongs that before us and that behind us and what is in between. And never is your Lord forgetful – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 65
رَّبُّ Lord ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between both of them, فَٱعْبُدْهُ so worship Him وَٱصْطَبِرْ and be constant لِعِبَٰدَتِهِۦ in His worship. هَلْ Do تَعْلَمُ you know لَهُۥ for Him سَمِيًّا any similarity?
English - Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them – so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know of any similarity to Him?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 66
وَيَقُولُ And says ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [the] man, أَءِذَا "What! When مَا "What! When مِتُّ I am dead, لَسَوْفَ surely will أُخْرَجُ I be brought forth حَيًّا alive?"
English - And the disbeliever says, "When I have died, am I going to be brought forth alive?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 67
أَوَلَا Does not يَذْكُرُ remember ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [the] man أَنَّا that We, خَلَقْنَٰهُ We created him مِن before, قَبْلُ before, وَلَمْ while not يَكُ he was شَيْـًٔا anything?
English - Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 68
فَوَرَبِّكَ So by your Lord, لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ surely, We will gather them وَٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ and the devils, ثُمَّ then لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ surely, We will bring them حَوْلَ around جَهَنَّمَ Hell جِثِيًّا bent (on) knees.
English - So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 69
ثُمَّ Then لَنَنزِعَنَّ surely, We will drag out مِن from كُلِّ every شِيعَةٍ sect, أَيُّهُمْ those of them أَشَدُّ (who were) worst عَلَى against ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious عِتِيًّا (in) rebellion.
English - Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 70
ثُمَّ Then لَنَحْنُ surely, We أَعْلَمُ know best بِٱلَّذِينَ [of] those who هُمْ [they] أَوْلَىٰ (are) most worthy بِهَا therein صِلِيًّا (of) being burnt.
English - Then, surely it is We who are most knowing of those most worthy of burning therein. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 71
وَإِن And (there is) not مِّنكُمْ (any) of you إِلَّا but وَارِدُهَا (will be) passing over it. كَانَ (This) is عَلَىٰ upon رَبِّكَ your Lord حَتْمًا an inevitability مَّقْضِيًّا decreed.
English - And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 72
ثُمَّ Then نُنَجِّى We will deliver ٱلَّذِينَ those who ٱتَّقَوا۟ feared (Allah), وَّنَذَرُ and We will leave ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers فِيهَا therein جِثِيًّا bent (on) knees.
English - Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers within it, on their knees. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 73
وَإِذَا And when تُتْلَىٰ are recited عَلَيْهِمْ to them ءَايَٰتُنَا Our Verses بَيِّنَٰتٍ clear, قَالَ say ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved لِلَّذِينَ to those who ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believed, أَىُّ "Which ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ (of) the two groups خَيْرٌ (is) better مَّقَامًا (in) position. وَأَحْسَنُ and best نَدِيًّا (in) assembly?"
English - And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 74
وَكَمْ And how many أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed قَبْلَهُم before them مِّن of قَرْنٍ a generation - هُمْ they أَحْسَنُ (were) better أَثَٰثًا (in) possessions وَرِءْيًا and appearance?
English - And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and [outward] appearance? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 75
قُلْ Say, مَن "Whoever كَانَ is فِى in ٱلضَّلَٰلَةِ [the] error, فَلْيَمْدُدْ then surely will extend لَهُ for him ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ the Most Gracious مَدًّا an extension, حَتَّىٰٓ until إِذَا when رَأَوْا۟ they see مَا what يُوعَدُونَ they were promised, إِمَّا either ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment وَإِمَّا or ٱلسَّاعَةَ the Hour, فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ then they will know مَنْ who هُوَ [he] شَرٌّ (is) worst مَّكَانًا (in) position وَأَضْعَفُ and weaker جُندًا (in) forces."
English - Say, "Whoever is in error – let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised – either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] – they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 76
وَيَزِيدُ And Allah increases ٱللَّهُ And Allah increases ٱلَّذِينَ those who ٱهْتَدَوْا۟ accept guidance, هُدًى (in) guidance. وَٱلْبَٰقِيَٰتُ And the everlasting ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ good deeds خَيْرٌ (are) better عِندَ near رَبِّكَ your Lord ثَوَابًا (for) reward وَخَيْرٌ and better مَّرَدًّا (for) return.
English - And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 77
أَفَرَءَيْتَ Then, have you seen ٱلَّذِى he who كَفَرَ disbelieved بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا in Our Verses, وَقَالَ and said, لَأُوتَيَنَّ "Surely, I will be given مَالًا wealth وَوَلَدًا and children?"
English - Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in the next life]?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 78
أَطَّلَعَ Has he looked ٱلْغَيْبَ (into) the unseen, أَمِ or ٱتَّخَذَ has he taken عِندَ from ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious عَهْدًا a promise?
English - Has he looked into the unseen, or has he taken from the Most Merciful a promise? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 79
كَلَّا Nay, سَنَكْتُبُ We will record مَا what يَقُولُ he says, وَنَمُدُّ and We will extend لَهُۥ for him مِنَ from ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment مَدًّا extensively.
English - No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 80
وَنَرِثُهُۥ And We will inherit (from) him مَا what يَقُولُ he says, وَيَأْتِينَا and he will come to Us فَرْدًا alone.
English - And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 81
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ And they have taken مِن besides Allah, دُونِ besides Allah, ٱللَّهِ besides Allah, ءَالِهَةً gods, لِّيَكُونُوا۟ that they may be لَهُمْ for them عِزًّا an honor.
English - And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 82
كَلَّا Nay, سَيَكْفُرُونَ they will deny بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ their worship (of them) وَيَكُونُونَ and they will be عَلَيْهِمْ against them ضِدًّا opponents.
English - No! Those "gods" will deny their worship of them and will be against them opponents [on the Day of Judgment]. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 83
أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see, أَنَّآ that We أَرْسَلْنَا [We] have sent ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ the devils عَلَى upon ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers, تَؤُزُّهُمْ inciting them أَزًّا (with) incitement.
English - Do you not see that We have sent the devils upon the disbelievers, inciting them to [evil] with [constant] incitement? .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 84
فَلَا So (do) not تَعْجَلْ make haste عَلَيْهِمْ against them. إِنَّمَا Only نَعُدُّ We count لَهُمْ for them عَدًّا a number.
English - So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 85
يَوْمَ (The) Day نَحْشُرُ We will gather ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous إِلَى to ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious وَفْدًا (as) a delegation
English - On the Day We will gather the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 86
وَنَسُوقُ And We will drive ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals إِلَىٰ to جَهَنَّمَ Hell وِرْدًا thirsty.
English - And will drive the criminals to Hell in thirst .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 87
لَّا Not يَمْلِكُونَ they will have the power ٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ (of) the intercession إِلَّا except مَنِ (he) who ٱتَّخَذَ has taken عِندَ from ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious عَهْدًا a covenant.
English - None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 88
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, ٱتَّخَذَ "Has taken ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ the Most Gracious وَلَدًا a son."
English - And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 89
لَّقَدْ Verily, جِئْتُمْ you have put forth شَيْـًٔا a thing إِدًّا atrocious.
English - You have done an atrocious thing. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 90
تَكَادُ Almost ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ the heavens يَتَفَطَّرْنَ get torn مِنْهُ therefrom, وَتَنشَقُّ and splits asunder ٱلْأَرْضُ the earth وَتَخِرُّ and collapse ٱلْجِبَالُ the mountain هَدًّا (in) devastation
English - The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 91
أَن That دَعَوْا۟ they invoke لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ to the Most Gracious وَلَدًا a son.
English - That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 92
وَمَا And not يَنۢبَغِى is appropriate لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ for the Most Gracious أَن that يَتَّخِذَ He should take وَلَدًا a son.
English - And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 93
إِن Not كُلُّ all مَن who فِى (are) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth إِلَّآ but ءَاتِى (will) come ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ (to) the Most Gracious عَبْدًا (as) a slave.
English - There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 94
لَّقَدْ Verily, أَحْصَىٰهُمْ He has enumerated them وَعَدَّهُمْ and counted them, عَدًّا a counting.
English - He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 95
وَكُلُّهُمْ And all of them ءَاتِيهِ (will) come (to) Him يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection فَرْدًا alone.
English - And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 96
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed وَعَمِلُوا۟ and did ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ good deeds, سَيَجْعَلُ will bestow لَهُمُ for them ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ the Most Gracious وُدًّا affection.
English - Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 97
فَإِنَّمَا So, only يَسَّرْنَٰهُ We (have) made it easy بِلِسَانِكَ in your tongue, لِتُبَشِّرَ that you may give glad tidings بِهِ with it ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ (to) the righteous وَتُنذِرَ and warn بِهِۦ with it قَوْمًا a people لُّدًّا hostile.
English - So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur’an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 98
وَكَمْ And how many أَهْلَكْنَا We (have) destroyed قَبْلَهُم before them مِّن of قَرْنٍ a generation? هَلْ Can تُحِسُّ you perceive مِنْهُم of them مِّنْ any أَحَدٍ one أَوْ or تَسْمَعُ hear لَهُمْ from them رِكْزًۢا a sound?
English - And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound? .
हिंदी - .
