Ayah
1
سُبْحَٰنَ
Exalted
ٱلَّذِىٓ
(is) the One Who
أَسْرَىٰ
took
بِعَبْدِهِۦ
His servant
لَيْلًا
(by) night
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْمَسْجِدِ
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam,
ٱلْحَرَامِ
Al-Masjid Al-Haraam,
إِلَى
to
ٱلْمَسْجِدِ
Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa
ٱلْأَقْصَا
Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa
ٱلَّذِى
which
بَٰرَكْنَا
We blessed
حَوْلَهُۥ
its surroundings,
لِنُرِيَهُۥ
that We may show him
مِنْ
of
ءَايَٰتِنَآ
Our Signs.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed He,
هُوَ
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ
(is) the All-Hearer,
ٱلْبَصِيرُ
the All-Seer.
Ayah
2
وَءَاتَيْنَا
And We gave
مُوسَى
Musa
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
the Book,
وَجَعَلْنَٰهُ
and made it
هُدًى
a guidance
لِّبَنِىٓ
for the Children
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
(of) Israel,
أَلَّا
"That not
تَتَّخِذُوا۟
you take
مِن
other than Me
دُونِى
other than Me
وَكِيلًا
(as) a Disposer of affairs."
Ayah
3
ذُرِّيَّةَ
Offsprings
مَنْ
(of one) who
حَمَلْنَا
We carried
مَعَ
with
نُوحٍ
Nuh.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, he
كَانَ
was
عَبْدًا
a servant
شَكُورًا
grateful.
Ayah
4
وَقَضَيْنَآ
And We decreed
إِلَىٰ
for
بَنِىٓ
(the) Children
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
(of) Israel
فِى
in
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book,
لَتُفْسِدُنَّ
"Surely you will cause corruption
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
مَرَّتَيْنِ
twice,
وَلَتَعْلُنَّ
and surely you will reach,
عُلُوًّا
haughtiness
كَبِيرًا
great."
Ayah
5
فَإِذَا
So when
جَآءَ
came
وَعْدُ
(the) promise
أُولَىٰهُمَا
(for) the first of the two,
بَعَثْنَا
We raised
عَلَيْكُمْ
against you
عِبَادًا
servants
لَّنَآ
of Ours
أُو۟لِى
those of great military might
بَأْسٍ
those of great military might
شَدِيدٍ
those of great military might
فَجَاسُوا۟
and they entered
خِلَٰلَ
the inner most part
ٱلدِّيَارِ
(of) the homes,
وَكَانَ
and (it) was
وَعْدًا
a promise
مَّفْعُولًا
fulfilled.
Ayah
6
ثُمَّ
Then
رَدَدْنَا
We gave back
لَكُمُ
to you
ٱلْكَرَّةَ
the return victory
عَلَيْهِمْ
over them.
وَأَمْدَدْنَٰكُم
And We reinforced you
بِأَمْوَٰلٍ
with the wealth
وَبَنِينَ
and sons
وَجَعَلْنَٰكُمْ
and made you
أَكْثَرَ
more
نَفِيرًا
numerous.
Ayah
7
إِنْ
If
أَحْسَنتُمْ
you do good,
أَحْسَنتُمْ
you do good
لِأَنفُسِكُمْ
for yourselves;
وَإِنْ
and if
أَسَأْتُمْ
you do evil,
فَلَهَا
then it is for it.
فَإِذَا
So when
جَآءَ
came
وَعْدُ
promise
ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
the last,
لِيَسُۥٓـُٔوا۟
to sadden
وُجُوهَكُمْ
your faces
وَلِيَدْخُلُوا۟
and to enter
ٱلْمَسْجِدَ
the Masjid
كَمَا
just as
دَخَلُوهُ
they (had) entered it
أَوَّلَ
first
مَرَّةٍ
time,
وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا۟
and to destroy
مَا
what
عَلَوْا۟
they had conquered
تَتْبِيرًا
(with) destruction.
Ayah
8
عَسَىٰ
"(It) may be
رَبُّكُمْ
that your Lord
أَن
that your Lord
يَرْحَمَكُمْ
(may) have mercy upon you.
وَإِنْ
But if
عُدتُّمْ
you return,
عُدْنَا
We will return.
وَجَعَلْنَا
And We have made
جَهَنَّمَ
Hell,
لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ
for the disbelievers,
حَصِيرًا
a prison-bed."
Ayah
9
إِنَّ
Indeed,
هَٰذَا
this,
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
the Quran,
يَهْدِى
guides
لِلَّتِى
to that
هِىَ
which
أَقْوَمُ
(is) most straight
وَيُبَشِّرُ
and gives glad tidings
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
to the believers -
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
يَعْمَلُونَ
do
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ
the righteous deeds,
أَنَّ
that
لَهُمْ
for them
أَجْرًا
(is) a reward
كَبِيرًا
great,
Ayah
10
وَأَنَّ
And that
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
believe
بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
in the Hereafter,
أَعْتَدْنَا
We have prepared
لَهُمْ
for them
عَذَابًا
a punishment
أَلِيمًا
painful.
Ayah
11
وَيَدْعُ
And prays
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
the man
بِٱلشَّرِّ
for evil
دُعَآءَهُۥ
(as) he prays
بِٱلْخَيْرِ
for the good.
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
the man
عَجُولًا
ever hasty.
Ayah
12
وَجَعَلْنَا
And We have made
ٱلَّيْلَ
the night
وَٱلنَّهَارَ
and the day
ءَايَتَيْنِ
(as) two signs.
فَمَحَوْنَآ
Then We erased
ءَايَةَ
(the) sign
ٱلَّيْلِ
(of) the night,
وَجَعَلْنَآ
and We made
ءَايَةَ
(the) sign
ٱلنَّهَارِ
(of) the day
مُبْصِرَةً
visible,
لِّتَبْتَغُوا۟
that you may seek
فَضْلًا
bounty
مِّن
from
رَّبِّكُمْ
your Lord,
وَلِتَعْلَمُوا۟
and that you may know
عَدَدَ
(the) number
ٱلسِّنِينَ
(of) the years,
وَٱلْحِسَابَ
and the account.
وَكُلَّ
And every
شَىْءٍ
thing -
فَصَّلْنَٰهُ
We have explained it
تَفْصِيلًا
(in) detail.
Ayah
13
وَكُلَّ
And (for) every
إِنسَٰنٍ
man
أَلْزَمْنَٰهُ
We have fastened to him
طَٰٓئِرَهُۥ
his fate
فِى
in
عُنُقِهِۦ
his neck,
وَنُخْرِجُ
and We will bring forth
لَهُۥ
for him
يَوْمَ
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection
كِتَٰبًا
a record
يَلْقَىٰهُ
which he will find
مَنشُورًا
wide open.
Ayah
14
ٱقْرَأْ
"Read
كِتَٰبَكَ
your record.
كَفَىٰ
Sufficient
بِنَفْسِكَ
(is) yourself
ٱلْيَوْمَ
today,
عَلَيْكَ
against you
حَسِيبًا
(as) accountant."
Ayah
15
مَّنِ
Whoever
ٱهْتَدَىٰ
(is) guided
فَإِنَّمَا
then only
يَهْتَدِى
he is guided
لِنَفْسِهِۦ
for his soul.
وَمَن
And whoever
ضَلَّ
goes astray
فَإِنَّمَا
then only
يَضِلُّ
he goes astray
عَلَيْهَا
against it
وَلَا
And not
تَزِرُ
will bear
وَازِرَةٌ
a bearer of burden,
وِزْرَ
burden
أُخْرَىٰ
(of) another.
وَمَا
And not
كُنَّا
We
مُعَذِّبِينَ
are to punish
حَتَّىٰ
until,
نَبْعَثَ
We have sent
رَسُولًا
a Messenger.
Ayah
16
وَإِذَآ
And when
أَرَدْنَآ
We intend
أَن
that
نُّهْلِكَ
We destroy
قَرْيَةً
a town,
أَمَرْنَا
We order
مُتْرَفِيهَا
its wealthy people
فَفَسَقُوا۟
but they defiantly disobey
فِيهَا
therein;
فَحَقَّ
so (is) proved true
عَلَيْهَا
against it
ٱلْقَوْلُ
the word,
فَدَمَّرْنَٰهَا
and We destroy it
تَدْمِيرًا
(with) destruction.
Ayah
17
وَكَمْ
And how many
أَهْلَكْنَا
We destroyed
مِنَ
from
ٱلْقُرُونِ
the generations
مِنۢ
after
بَعْدِ
after
نُوحٍ
Nuh!
وَكَفَىٰ
And sufficient
بِرَبِّكَ
(is) your Lord
بِذُنُوبِ
concerning the sins
عِبَادِهِۦ
(of) His servants
خَبِيرًۢا
All-Aware,
بَصِيرًا
All-Seer.
Ayah
18
مَّن
Whoever
كَانَ
should
يُرِيدُ
desire
ٱلْعَاجِلَةَ
the immediate
عَجَّلْنَا
We hasten
لَهُۥ
for him
فِيهَا
in it
مَا
what
نَشَآءُ
We will
لِمَن
to whom
نُّرِيدُ
We intend.
ثُمَّ
Then
جَعَلْنَا
We have made
لَهُۥ
for him
جَهَنَّمَ
Hell,
يَصْلَىٰهَا
he will burn
مَذْمُومًا
disgraced
مَّدْحُورًا
rejected.
Ayah
19
وَمَنْ
And whoever
أَرَادَ
desires
ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
the Hereafter
وَسَعَىٰ
and exerts
لَهَا
for it
سَعْيَهَا
the effort,
وَهُوَ
while he
مُؤْمِنٌ
(is) a believer,
فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
then those
كَانَ
[are]
سَعْيُهُم
their effort,
مَّشْكُورًا
(is) appreciated.
Ayah
20
كُلًّا
(To) each
نُّمِدُّ
We extend
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
(to) these
وَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
and (to) these,
مِنْ
from
عَطَآءِ
(the) gift
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord.
وَمَا
And not
كَانَ
is
عَطَآءُ
(the) gift
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
مَحْظُورًا
restricted.
Ayah
21
ٱنظُرْ
See
كَيْفَ
how
فَضَّلْنَا
We preferred
بَعْضَهُمْ
some of them
عَلَىٰ
over
بَعْضٍ
others.
وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ
And surely the Hereafter
أَكْبَرُ
(is) greater
دَرَجَٰتٍ
(in) degrees
وَأَكْبَرُ
and greater
تَفْضِيلًا
(in) excellence.
Ayah
22
لَّا
(Do) not
تَجْعَلْ
make
مَعَ
with
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
إِلَٰهًا
god
ءَاخَرَ
another,
فَتَقْعُدَ
lest you will sit
مَذْمُومًا
disgraced,
مَّخْذُولًا
forsaken.
Ayah
23
وَقَضَىٰ
And has decreed
رَبُّكَ
your Lord,
أَلَّا
that (do) not
تَعْبُدُوٓا۟
worship
إِلَّآ
except
إِيَّاهُ
Him Alone
وَبِٱلْوَٰلِدَيْنِ
and to the parents
إِحْسَٰنًا
(be) good.
إِمَّا
Whether
يَبْلُغَنَّ
reach
عِندَكَ
with you
ٱلْكِبَرَ
the old age
أَحَدُهُمَآ
one of them,
أَوْ
or
كِلَاهُمَا
both of them,
فَلَا
then (do) not
تَقُل
say
لَّهُمَآ
to both of them
أُفٍّ
a word of disrespect
وَلَا
and (do) not
تَنْهَرْهُمَا
repel them,
وَقُل
but speak
لَّهُمَا
to them
قَوْلًا
a word
كَرِيمًا
noble.
Ayah
24
وَٱخْفِضْ
And lower
لَهُمَا
to them
جَنَاحَ
(the) wing
ٱلذُّلِّ
(of) humility
مِنَ
(out) of
ٱلرَّحْمَةِ
[the] mercy
وَقُل
and say,
رَّبِّ
"My Lord!
ٱرْحَمْهُمَا
Have mercy on both of them
كَمَا
as
رَبَّيَانِى
they brought me up
صَغِيرًا
(when I was) small."
Ayah
25
رَّبُّكُمْ
Your Lord
أَعْلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِمَا
of what
فِى
(is) in
نُفُوسِكُمْ
yourselves.
إِن
If
تَكُونُوا۟
you are
صَٰلِحِينَ
righteous,
فَإِنَّهُۥ
then indeed, He
كَانَ
is
لِلْأَوَّٰبِينَ
to those who often turn (to Him)
غَفُورًا
Most Forgiving.
Ayah
26
وَءَاتِ
And give
ذَا
the relatives
ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
the relatives
حَقَّهُۥ
his right,
وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ
and the needy,
وَٱبْنَ
and the wayfarer,
ٱلسَّبِيلِ
and the wayfarer,
وَلَا
and (do) not
تُبَذِّرْ
spend
تَبْذِيرًا
wastefully.
Ayah
27
إِنَّ
Indeed,
ٱلْمُبَذِّرِينَ
the spendthrifts
كَانُوٓا۟
are
إِخْوَٰنَ
brothers
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ
(of) the devils.
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
لِرَبِّهِۦ
to his Lord
كَفُورًا
ungrateful.
Ayah
28
وَإِمَّا
And if
تُعْرِضَنَّ
you turn away
عَنْهُمُ
from them
ٱبْتِغَآءَ
seeking
رَحْمَةٍ
mercy
مِّن
from
رَّبِّكَ
your Lord,
تَرْجُوهَا
which you expect
فَقُل
then say
لَّهُمْ
to them
قَوْلًا
a word
مَّيْسُورًا
gentle.
Ayah
29
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَجْعَلْ
make
يَدَكَ
your hand
مَغْلُولَةً
chained
إِلَىٰ
to
عُنُقِكَ
your neck,
وَلَا
and not
تَبْسُطْهَا
extend it
كُلَّ
(to its) utmost
ٱلْبَسْطِ
reach,
فَتَقْعُدَ
so that you sit
مَلُومًا
blameworthy,
مَّحْسُورًا
insolvent.
Ayah
30
إِنَّ
Indeed,
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
يَبْسُطُ
extends
ٱلرِّزْقَ
the provision
لِمَن
for whom
يَشَآءُ
He wills,
وَيَقْدِرُ
and straitens.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
كَانَ
is
بِعِبَادِهِۦ
of His slaves
خَبِيرًۢا
All-Aware,
بَصِيرًا
All-Seer.
Ayah
31
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَقْتُلُوٓا۟
kill
أَوْلَٰدَكُمْ
your children
خَشْيَةَ
(for) fear
إِمْلَٰقٍ
(of) poverty.
نَّحْنُ
We
نَرْزُقُهُمْ
(We) provide for them
وَإِيَّاكُمْ
and for you.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
قَتْلَهُمْ
their killing
كَانَ
is
خِطْـًٔا
a sin
كَبِيرًا
great.
Ayah
32
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَقْرَبُوا۟
go near
ٱلزِّنَىٰٓ
adultery.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, it
كَانَ
is
فَٰحِشَةً
an immorality
وَسَآءَ
and (an) evil
سَبِيلًا
way.
Ayah
33
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَقْتُلُوا۟
kill
ٱلنَّفْسَ
the soul
ٱلَّتِى
which
حَرَّمَ
Allah has forbidden,
ٱللَّهُ
Allah has forbidden,
إِلَّا
except
بِٱلْحَقِّ
by right.
وَمَن
And whoever
قُتِلَ
(is) killed
مَظْلُومًا
wrongfully,
فَقَدْ
verily
جَعَلْنَا
We have made
لِوَلِيِّهِۦ
for his heir
سُلْطَٰنًا
an authority,
فَلَا
but not
يُسْرِف
he should exceed
فِّى
in
ٱلْقَتْلِ
the killing.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, he
كَانَ
is
مَنصُورًا
helped.
Ayah
34
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَقْرَبُوا۟
come near
مَالَ
(the) wealth
ٱلْيَتِيمِ
(of) the orphan,
إِلَّا
except
بِٱلَّتِى
with what
هِىَ
[it] is
أَحْسَنُ
best
حَتَّىٰ
until
يَبْلُغَ
he reaches
أَشُدَّهُۥ
his maturity.
وَأَوْفُوا۟
And fulfil
بِٱلْعَهْدِ
the covenant.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
ٱلْعَهْدَ
the covenant
كَانَ
will be
مَسْـُٔولًا
questioned.
Ayah
35
وَأَوْفُوا۟
And give full
ٱلْكَيْلَ
[the] measure
إِذَا
when
كِلْتُمْ
you measure,
وَزِنُوا۟
and weigh
بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ
with the balance
ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
the straight.
ذَٰلِكَ
That
خَيْرٌ
(is) good
وَأَحْسَنُ
and best
تَأْوِيلًا
(in) result.
Ayah
36
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَقْفُ
pursue
مَا
what
لَيْسَ
not
لَكَ
you have
بِهِۦ
of it
عِلْمٌ
any knowledge.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
ٱلسَّمْعَ
the hearing,
وَٱلْبَصَرَ
and the sight,
وَٱلْفُؤَادَ
and the heart
كُلُّ
all
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
those
كَانَ
will be
عَنْهُ
[about it]
مَسْـُٔولًا
questioned.
Ayah
37
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَمْشِ
walk
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
مَرَحًا
(with) insolence.
إِنَّكَ
Indeed, you
لَن
will never
تَخْرِقَ
tear
ٱلْأَرْضَ
the earth
وَلَن
and will never
تَبْلُغَ
reach
ٱلْجِبَالَ
the mountains
طُولًا
(in) height.
Ayah
38
كُلُّ
All
ذَٰلِكَ
that
كَانَ
is
سَيِّئُهُۥ
[its] evil
عِندَ
near
رَبِّكَ
your Lord,
مَكْرُوهًا
hateful.
Ayah
39
ذَٰلِكَ
That
مِمَّآ
(is) from what
أَوْحَىٰٓ
(was) revealed
إِلَيْكَ
to you
رَبُّكَ
(from) your Lord
مِنَ
of
ٱلْحِكْمَةِ
the wisdom.
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَجْعَلْ
make
مَعَ
with
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
إِلَٰهًا
god
ءَاخَرَ
other
فَتُلْقَىٰ
lest you should be thrown
فِى
in
جَهَنَّمَ
Hell,
مَلُومًا
blameworthy,
مَّدْحُورًا
abandoned.
Ayah
40
أَفَأَصْفَىٰكُمْ
Then has your Lord chosen (for) you
رَبُّكُم
Then has your Lord chosen (for) you
بِٱلْبَنِينَ
sons
وَٱتَّخَذَ
and He has taken
مِنَ
from
ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
the Angels
إِنَٰثًا
daughters?
إِنَّكُمْ
Indeed, you
لَتَقُولُونَ
surely say
قَوْلًا
a word
عَظِيمًا
grave.
Ayah
41
وَلَقَدْ
And verily,
صَرَّفْنَا
We have explained
فِى
in
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
the Quran,
لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟
that they may take heed,
وَمَا
but not
يَزِيدُهُمْ
it increases them
إِلَّا
except
نُفُورًا
(in) aversion.
Ayah
42
قُل
Say,
لَّوْ
"If
كَانَ
(there) were
مَعَهُۥٓ
with Him
ءَالِهَةٌ
gods
كَمَا
as
يَقُولُونَ
they say,
إِذًا
then
لَّٱبْتَغَوْا۟
surely they (would) have sought
إِلَىٰ
to
ذِى
(the) Owner
ٱلْعَرْشِ
(of) the Throne
سَبِيلًا
a way."
Ayah
43
سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ
Glorified is He
وَتَعَٰلَىٰ
and Exalted is He
عَمَّا
above what
يَقُولُونَ
they say
عُلُوًّا
(by) height
كَبِيرًا
great.
Ayah
44
تُسَبِّحُ
Glorify
لَهُ
[to] Him
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ
the seven heavens
ٱلسَّبْعُ
the seven heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضُ
and the earth
وَمَن
and whatever
فِيهِنَّ
(is) in them.
وَإِن
And (there is) not
مِّن
any
شَىْءٍ
thing
إِلَّا
except
يُسَبِّحُ
glorifies
بِحَمْدِهِۦ
His Praise,
وَلَٰكِن
but
لَّا
not
تَفْقَهُونَ
you understand
تَسْبِيحَهُمْ
their glorification.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
كَانَ
is
حَلِيمًا
Ever-Forbearing,
غَفُورًا
Oft-Forgiving."
Ayah
45
وَإِذَا
And when
قَرَأْتَ
you recite
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ
the Quran,
جَعَلْنَا
We place
بَيْنَكَ
between you
وَبَيْنَ
and between
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
لَا
(do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ
believe
بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
in the Hereafter
حِجَابًا
a barrier
مَّسْتُورًا
hidden.
Ayah
46
وَجَعَلْنَا
And We have placed
عَلَىٰ
over
قُلُوبِهِمْ
their hearts
أَكِنَّةً
coverings,
أَن
lest
يَفْقَهُوهُ
they understand it,
وَفِىٓ
and in
ءَاذَانِهِمْ
their ears
وَقْرًا
deafness.
وَإِذَا
And when
ذَكَرْتَ
you mention
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
فِى
in
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
the Quran
وَحْدَهُۥ
Alone,
وَلَّوْا۟
they turn
عَلَىٰٓ
on
أَدْبَٰرِهِمْ
their backs
نُفُورًا
(in) aversion.
Ayah
47
نَّحْنُ
We
أَعْلَمُ
know best
بِمَا
[of] what
يَسْتَمِعُونَ
they listen
بِهِۦٓ
to [it]
إِذْ
when
يَسْتَمِعُونَ
they listen
إِلَيْكَ
to you,
وَإِذْ
and when
هُمْ
they
نَجْوَىٰٓ
(are) in private conversation,
إِذْ
when
يَقُولُ
say
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
the wrongdoers,
إِن
"Not
تَتَّبِعُونَ
you follow
إِلَّا
but
رَجُلًا
a man
مَّسْحُورًا
bewitched."
Ayah
48
ٱنظُرْ
See
كَيْفَ
how
ضَرَبُوا۟
they put forth
لَكَ
for you
ٱلْأَمْثَالَ
the examples;
فَضَلُّوا۟
but they have gone astray
فَلَا
so not
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ
they can
سَبِيلًا
(find) a way.
Ayah
49
وَقَالُوٓا۟
And they say,
أَءِذَا
"Is it when
كُنَّا
we are
عِظَٰمًا
bones
وَرُفَٰتًا
and crumbled particles,
أَءِنَّا
will we
لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
surely (be) resurrected
خَلْقًا
(as) a creation
جَدِيدًا
new."
Ayah
50
قُلْ
Say,
كُونُوا۟
"Be
حِجَارَةً
stones
أَوْ
or
حَدِيدًا
iron.
Ayah
51
أَوْ
Or
خَلْقًا
a creation
مِّمَّا
of what
يَكْبُرُ
(is) great
فِى
in
صُدُورِكُمْ
your breasts."
فَسَيَقُولُونَ
Then they will say,
مَن
"Who
يُعِيدُنَا
will restore us?"
قُلِ
Say,
ٱلَّذِى
"He Who
فَطَرَكُمْ
created you
أَوَّلَ
(the) first
مَرَّةٍ
time."
فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ
Then they will shake
إِلَيْكَ
at you
رُءُوسَهُمْ
their heads
وَيَقُولُونَ
and they say,
مَتَىٰ
"When (will)
هُوَ
it (be)?"
قُلْ
Say,
عَسَىٰٓ
"Perhaps
أَن
that
يَكُونَ
(it) will be
قَرِيبًا
soon."
Ayah
52
يَوْمَ
(On) the Day
يَدْعُوكُمْ
He will call you
فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ
and you will respond
بِحَمْدِهِۦ
with His Praise,
وَتَظُنُّونَ
and you will think,
إِن
not
لَّبِثْتُمْ
you had remained
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a little (while).
Ayah
53
وَقُل
And say
لِّعِبَادِى
to My slaves
يَقُولُوا۟
(to) say
ٱلَّتِى
that
هِىَ
which
أَحْسَنُ
(is) best.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ
the Shaitaan
يَنزَغُ
sows discord
بَيْنَهُمْ
between them.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ
the Shaitaan
كَانَ
is
لِلْإِنسَٰنِ
to the man
عَدُوًّا
an enemy
مُّبِينًا
clear.
Ayah
54
رَّبُّكُمْ
Your Lord
أَعْلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِكُمْ
of you.
إِن
If
يَشَأْ
He wills,
يَرْحَمْكُمْ
He will have mercy on you;
أَوْ
or
إِن
if
يَشَأْ
He wills
يُعَذِّبْكُمْ
He will punish you.
وَمَآ
And not
أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ
We have sent you
عَلَيْهِمْ
over them
وَكِيلًا
(as) a guardian.
Ayah
55
وَرَبُّكَ
And your Lord
أَعْلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِمَن
of whoever
فِى
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth.
وَلَقَدْ
And verily
فَضَّلْنَا
We have preferred
بَعْضَ
some
ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ
(of) the Prophets
عَلَىٰ
to
بَعْضٍ
others.
وَءَاتَيْنَا
And We gave
دَاوُۥدَ
Dawood
زَبُورًا
Zaboor.
Ayah
56
قُلِ
Say,
ٱدْعُوا۟
"Call
ٱلَّذِينَ
those whom
زَعَمْتُم
you claimed
مِّن
besides Him,
دُونِهِۦ
besides Him,
فَلَا
[then] not
يَمْلِكُونَ
they have power
كَشْفَ
(to) remove
ٱلضُّرِّ
the misfortunes
عَنكُمْ
from you
وَلَا
and not
تَحْوِيلًا
(to) transfer (it)."
Ayah
57
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
Those
ٱلَّذِينَ
whom
يَدْعُونَ
they call,
يَبْتَغُونَ
seek
إِلَىٰ
to
رَبِّهِمُ
their Lord
ٱلْوَسِيلَةَ
the means of access,
أَيُّهُمْ
which of them
أَقْرَبُ
(is) nearest,
وَيَرْجُونَ
and they hope
رَحْمَتَهُۥ
(for) His mercy
وَيَخَافُونَ
and fear
عَذَابَهُۥٓ
His punishment.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
عَذَابَ
(the) punishment
رَبِّكَ
(of) your Lord
كَانَ
is
مَحْذُورًا
(ever) feared.
Ayah
58
وَإِن
And not
مِّن
(is) any
قَرْيَةٍ
town
إِلَّا
but
نَحْنُ
We
مُهْلِكُوهَا
(will) destroy it
قَبْلَ
before
يَوْمِ
(the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection
أَوْ
or
مُعَذِّبُوهَا
punish it
عَذَابًا
with a punishment
شَدِيدًا
severe.
كَانَ
That is
ذَٰلِكَ
That is
فِى
in
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
the Book
مَسْطُورًا
written.
Ayah
59
وَمَا
And not
مَنَعَنَآ
stopped Us
أَن
that
نُّرْسِلَ
We send
بِٱلْءَايَٰتِ
the Signs
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
كَذَّبَ
denied
بِهَا
them
ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
the former (people)
وَءَاتَيْنَا
And We gave
ثَمُودَ
Thamud
ٱلنَّاقَةَ
the she-camel
مُبْصِرَةً
(as) a visible sign,
فَظَلَمُوا۟
but they wronged
بِهَا
her.
وَمَا
And not
نُرْسِلُ
We send
بِٱلْءَايَٰتِ
the Signs
إِلَّا
except
تَخْوِيفًا
(as) a warning.
Ayah
60
وَإِذْ
And when
قُلْنَا
We said
لَكَ
to you,
إِنَّ
"Indeed,
رَبَّكَ
your Lord
أَحَاطَ
has encompassed
بِٱلنَّاسِ
the mankind."
وَمَا
And not
جَعَلْنَا
We made
ٱلرُّءْيَا
the vision
ٱلَّتِىٓ
which
أَرَيْنَٰكَ
We showed you
إِلَّا
except
فِتْنَةً
(as) a trial
لِّلنَّاسِ
for mankind,
وَٱلشَّجَرَةَ
and the tree
ٱلْمَلْعُونَةَ
the accursed
فِى
in
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
the Quran.
وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ
And We threaten them
فَمَا
but not
يَزِيدُهُمْ
it increases them
إِلَّا
except
طُغْيَٰنًا
(in) transgression
كَبِيرًا
great.
Ayah
61
وَإِذْ
And when
قُلْنَا
We said
لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
to the Angels,
ٱسْجُدُوا۟
"Prostrate
لِءَادَمَ
to Adam."
فَسَجَدُوٓا۟
So they prostrated
إِلَّآ
except
إِبْلِيسَ
Iblis.
قَالَ
He said,
ءَأَسْجُدُ
"Shall I prostrate
لِمَنْ
to (one) whom
خَلَقْتَ
You created
طِينًا
(from) clay?"
Ayah
62
قَالَ
He said,
أَرَءَيْتَكَ
"Do You see
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلَّذِى
whom
كَرَّمْتَ
You have honored,
عَلَىَّ
above me?
لَئِنْ
If
أَخَّرْتَنِ
You give me respite
إِلَىٰ
till
يَوْمِ
(the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection,
لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ
I will surely destroy
ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ
his offspring
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a few."
Ayah
63
قَالَ
He said,
ٱذْهَبْ
"Go,
فَمَن
and whoever
تَبِعَكَ
follows you
مِنْهُمْ
among them
فَإِنَّ
then indeed,
جَهَنَّمَ
Hell
جَزَآؤُكُمْ
(is) your recompense -
جَزَآءً
a recompense
مَّوْفُورًا
ample.
Ayah
64
وَٱسْتَفْزِزْ
And incite
مَنِ
whoever
ٱسْتَطَعْتَ
you can
مِنْهُم
among them
بِصَوْتِكَ
with your voice,
وَأَجْلِبْ
and assault
عَلَيْهِم
[on] them
بِخَيْلِكَ
with your cavalry
وَرَجِلِكَ
and infantry
وَشَارِكْهُمْ
and be a partner
فِى
in
ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ
the wealth
وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِ
and the children,
وَعِدْهُمْ
and promise them."
وَمَا
And not
يَعِدُهُمُ
promises them
ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
the Shaitaan
إِلَّا
except
غُرُورًا
delusion.
Ayah
65
إِنَّ
"Indeed,
عِبَادِى
My slaves
لَيْسَ
not
لَكَ
for you
عَلَيْهِمْ
over them
سُلْطَٰنٌ
any authority.
وَكَفَىٰ
And sufficient
بِرَبِّكَ
(is) your Lord
وَكِيلًا
(as) a Guardian."
Ayah
66
رَّبُّكُمُ
Your Lord
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
يُزْجِى
drives
لَكُمُ
for you
ٱلْفُلْكَ
the ship
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
the sea,
لِتَبْتَغُوا۟
that you may seek
مِن
of
فَضْلِهِۦٓ
His Bounty.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
كَانَ
is
بِكُمْ
to you
رَحِيمًا
Ever Merciful.
Ayah
67
وَإِذَا
And when
مَسَّكُمُ
touches you
ٱلضُّرُّ
the hardship
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
the sea,
ضَلَّ
lost
مَن
(are) who
تَدْعُونَ
you call
إِلَّآ
except
إِيَّاهُ
Him Alone.
فَلَمَّا
But when
نَجَّىٰكُمْ
He delivers you
إِلَى
to
ٱلْبَرِّ
the land
أَعْرَضْتُمْ
you turn away.
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
man
كَفُورًا
ungrateful.
Ayah
68
أَفَأَمِنتُمْ
Do you then feel secure
أَن
that (not)
يَخْسِفَ
He will cause to swallow
بِكُمْ
you,
جَانِبَ
side
ٱلْبَرِّ
(of) the land
أَوْ
or
يُرْسِلَ
send
عَلَيْكُمْ
against you
حَاصِبًا
a storm of stones?
ثُمَّ
Then
لَا
not
تَجِدُوا۟
you will find
لَكُمْ
for you
وَكِيلًا
a guardian?
Ayah
69
أَمْ
Or
أَمِنتُمْ
do you feel secure
أَن
that (not)
يُعِيدَكُمْ
He will send you back
فِيهِ
into it
تَارَةً
another time,
أُخْرَىٰ
another time,
فَيُرْسِلَ
and send
عَلَيْكُمْ
upon you
قَاصِفًا
a hurricane
مِّنَ
of
ٱلرِّيحِ
the wind,
فَيُغْرِقَكُم
and drown you
بِمَا
because
كَفَرْتُمْ
you disbelieved?
ثُمَّ
Then
لَا
not
تَجِدُوا۟
you will find
لَكُمْ
for you
عَلَيْنَا
against Us
بِهِۦ
therein
تَبِيعًا
an avenger?
Ayah
70
وَلَقَدْ
And certainly,
كَرَّمْنَا
We have honored
بَنِىٓ
(the) children of Adam
ءَادَمَ
(the) children of Adam
وَحَمَلْنَٰهُمْ
and We carried them
فِى
on
ٱلْبَرِّ
the land
وَٱلْبَحْرِ
and the sea,
وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم
and We have provided them
مِّنَ
of
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ
the good things
وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْ
and We preferred them
عَلَىٰ
over
كَثِيرٍ
many
مِّمَّنْ
of those whom
خَلَقْنَا
We have created
تَفْضِيلًا
(with) preference.
Ayah
71
يَوْمَ
(The) Day
نَدْعُوا۟
We will call
كُلَّ
all
أُنَاسٍۭ
human beings
بِإِمَٰمِهِمْ
with their record,
فَمَنْ
then whoever
أُوتِىَ
is given
كِتَٰبَهُۥ
his record
بِيَمِينِهِۦ
in his right hand,
فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
then those
يَقْرَءُونَ
will read
كِتَٰبَهُمْ
their records,
وَلَا
and not
يُظْلَمُونَ
they will be wronged
فَتِيلًا
(even as much as) a hair on a date seed.
Ayah
72
وَمَن
And whoever
كَانَ
is
فِى
in
هَٰذِهِۦٓ
this (world)
أَعْمَىٰ
blind,
فَهُوَ
then he
فِى
in
ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
the Hereafter
أَعْمَىٰ
(will be) blind,
وَأَضَلُّ
and more astray
سَبِيلًا
(from the) path.
Ayah
73
وَإِن
And indeed,
كَادُوا۟
they were about (to)
لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ
tempt you away
عَنِ
from
ٱلَّذِىٓ
that which
أَوْحَيْنَآ
We revealed,
إِلَيْكَ
to you
لِتَفْتَرِىَ
that you invent
عَلَيْنَا
about Us
غَيْرَهُۥ
other (than) it.
وَإِذًا
And then
لَّٱتَّخَذُوكَ
surely they would take you
خَلِيلًا
(as) a friend.
Ayah
74
وَلَوْلَآ
And if not
أَن
[that]
ثَبَّتْنَٰكَ
We (had) strengthened you,
لَقَدْ
certainly,
كِدتَّ
you almost
تَرْكَنُ
(would) have inclined
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them
شَيْـًٔا
(in) something
قَلِيلًا
a little.
Ayah
75
إِذًا
Then
لَّأَذَقْنَٰكَ
We (would) have made you taste
ضِعْفَ
double
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
(in) the life,
وَضِعْفَ
and double
ٱلْمَمَاتِ
(after) the death.
ثُمَّ
Then
لَا
not
تَجِدُ
you (would) have found
لَكَ
for you
عَلَيْنَا
against Us
نَصِيرًا
any helper.
Ayah
76
وَإِن
And indeed,
كَادُوا۟
they were about
لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ
(to) scare you
مِنَ
from
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land,
لِيُخْرِجُوكَ
that they evict you
مِنْهَا
from it.
وَإِذًا
But then
لَّا
not
يَلْبَثُونَ
they (would) have stayed
خِلَٰفَكَ
after you
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a little.
Ayah
77
سُنَّةَ
(Such is Our) Way
مَن
(for) whom
قَدْ
[verily]
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
قَبْلَكَ
before you
مِن
of
رُّسُلِنَا
Our Messengers.
وَلَا
And not
تَجِدُ
you will find
لِسُنَّتِنَا
(in) Our way
تَحْوِيلًا
any alteration.
Ayah
78
أَقِمِ
Establish
ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ
the prayer,
لِدُلُوكِ
at the decline
ٱلشَّمْسِ
(of) the sun
إِلَىٰ
till
غَسَقِ
(the) darkness
ٱلَّيْلِ
(of) the night
وَقُرْءَانَ
and Quran
ٱلْفَجْرِ
at dawn,
إِنَّ
indeed,
قُرْءَانَ
the Quran
ٱلْفَجْرِ
(at) the dawn
كَانَ
is
مَشْهُودًا
ever witnessed.
Ayah
79
وَمِنَ
And from
ٱلَّيْلِ
the night
فَتَهَجَّدْ
arise from sleep for prayer
بِهِۦ
with it
نَافِلَةً
(as) additional
لَّكَ
for you;
عَسَىٰٓ
it may be
أَن
that
يَبْعَثَكَ
will raise you
رَبُّكَ
your Lord
مَقَامًا
(to) a station
مَّحْمُودًا
praiseworthy.
Ayah
80
وَقُل
And say,
رَّبِّ
"My Lord!
أَدْخِلْنِى
Cause me to enter
مُدْخَلَ
an entrance
صِدْقٍ
sound,
وَأَخْرِجْنِى
and cause me to exit
مُخْرَجَ
an exit
صِدْقٍ
sound
وَٱجْعَل
and make
لِّى
for me
مِن
from
لَّدُنكَ
near You
سُلْطَٰنًا
an authority
نَّصِيرًا
helping."
Ayah
81
وَقُلْ
And say,
جَآءَ
"Has come
ٱلْحَقُّ
the truth
وَزَهَقَ
and perished
ٱلْبَٰطِلُ
the falsehood.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
ٱلْبَٰطِلَ
the falsehood
كَانَ
is
زَهُوقًا
(bound) to perish."
Ayah
82
وَنُنَزِّلُ
And We reveal
مِنَ
from
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
the Quran
مَا
that
هُوَ
it
شِفَآءٌ
(is) a healing
وَرَحْمَةٌ
and a mercy
لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
for the believers,
وَلَا
but not
يَزِيدُ
it increases
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
the wrongdoers
إِلَّا
except
خَسَارًا
(in) loss.
Ayah
83
وَإِذَآ
And when
أَنْعَمْنَا
We bestow favor
عَلَى
on
ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ
man
أَعْرَضَ
he turns away
وَنَـَٔا
and becomes remote
بِجَانِبِهِۦ
on his side.
وَإِذَا
And when
مَسَّهُ
touches him
ٱلشَّرُّ
the evil
كَانَ
he is
يَـُٔوسًا
(in) despair.
Ayah
84
قُلْ
Say,
كُلٌّ
"Each
يَعْمَلُ
works
عَلَىٰ
on
شَاكِلَتِهِۦ
his manner,
فَرَبُّكُمْ
but your Lord
أَعْلَمُ
(is) most knowing
بِمَنْ
of who
هُوَ
[he]
أَهْدَىٰ
(is) best guided
سَبِيلًا
(in) way."
Ayah
85
وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ
And they ask you
عَنِ
concerning
ٱلرُّوحِ
the soul.
قُلِ
Say,
ٱلرُّوحُ
"The soul
مِنْ
(is) of
أَمْرِ
(the) affair
رَبِّى
(of) my Lord.
وَمَآ
And not
أُوتِيتُم
you have been given
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْعِلْمِ
the knowledge
إِلَّا
except
قَلِيلًا
a little."
Ayah
86
وَلَئِن
And if
شِئْنَا
We willed,
لَنَذْهَبَنَّ
We (would) have surely taken away
بِٱلَّذِىٓ
that which
أَوْحَيْنَآ
We have revealed
إِلَيْكَ
to you.
ثُمَّ
Then
لَا
not
تَجِدُ
you would find
لَكَ
for you
بِهِۦ
concerning it
عَلَيْنَا
against Us
وَكِيلًا
any advocate,
Ayah
87
إِلَّا
Except
رَحْمَةً
a mercy
مِّن
from
رَّبِّكَ
your Lord.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
فَضْلَهُۥ
His Bounty
كَانَ
is
عَلَيْكَ
upon you
كَبِيرًا
great.
Ayah
88
قُل
Say,
لَّئِنِ
"If
ٱجْتَمَعَتِ
gathered
ٱلْإِنسُ
the mankind
وَٱلْجِنُّ
and the jinn
عَلَىٰٓ
to
أَن
[that]
يَأْتُوا۟
bring
بِمِثْلِ
the like
هَٰذَا
(of) this
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
Quran,
لَا
not
يَأْتُونَ
they (could) bring
بِمِثْلِهِۦ
the like of it,
وَلَوْ
even if
كَانَ
were
بَعْضُهُمْ
some of them
لِبَعْضٍ
to some others
ظَهِيرًا
assistants."
Ayah
89
وَلَقَدْ
And verily
صَرَّفْنَا
We have explained
لِلنَّاسِ
to mankind
فِى
in
هَٰذَا
this
ٱلْقُرْءَانِ
Quran
مِن
from
كُلِّ
every
مَثَلٍ
example,
فَأَبَىٰٓ
but refused
أَكْثَرُ
most
ٱلنَّاسِ
(of) the mankind
إِلَّا
except
كُفُورًا
disbelief.
Ayah
90
وَقَالُوا۟
And they say,
لَن
"Never
نُّؤْمِنَ
we will believe
لَكَ
in you
حَتَّىٰ
until
تَفْجُرَ
you cause to gush forth
لَنَا
for us
مِنَ
from
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
يَنۢبُوعًا
a spring.
Ayah
91
أَوْ
Or
تَكُونَ
you have
لَكَ
for you
جَنَّةٌ
a garden
مِّن
of
نَّخِيلٍ
date-palms
وَعِنَبٍ
and grapes,
فَتُفَجِّرَ
and cause to gush forth
ٱلْأَنْهَٰرَ
the rivers
خِلَٰلَهَا
within them
تَفْجِيرًا
abundantly.
Ayah
92
أَوْ
Or
تُسْقِطَ
you cause to fall
ٱلسَّمَآءَ
the sky,
كَمَا
as
زَعَمْتَ
you have claimed,
عَلَيْنَا
upon us
كِسَفًا
(in) pieces
أَوْ
or
تَأْتِىَ
you bring
بِٱللَّهِ
Allah
وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
and the Angels
قَبِيلًا
before (us).
Ayah
93
أَوْ
Or
يَكُونَ
is
لَكَ
for you
بَيْتٌ
a house
مِّن
of
زُخْرُفٍ
ornament
أَوْ
or
تَرْقَىٰ
you ascend
فِى
into
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky.
وَلَن
And never
نُّؤْمِنَ
we will believe
لِرُقِيِّكَ
in your ascension
حَتَّىٰ
until
تُنَزِّلَ
you bring down
عَلَيْنَا
to us
كِتَٰبًا
a book
نَّقْرَؤُهُۥ
we could read it."
قُلْ
Say,
سُبْحَانَ
"Glorified (is)
رَبِّى
my Lord!
هَلْ
"What
كُنتُ
am I
إِلَّا
but
بَشَرًا
a human,
رَّسُولًا
a Messenger."
Ayah
94
وَمَا
And what
مَنَعَ
prevented
ٱلنَّاسَ
the people
أَن
that
يُؤْمِنُوٓا۟
they believe
إِذْ
when
جَآءَهُمُ
came to them
ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ
the guidance
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
that
قَالُوٓا۟
they said,
أَبَعَثَ
"Has Allah sent
ٱللَّهُ
"Has Allah sent
بَشَرًا
a human
رَّسُولًا
Messenger?"
Ayah
95
قُل
Say,
لَّوْ
"If
كَانَ
(there) were
فِى
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the earth
مَلَٰٓئِكَةٌ
Angels
يَمْشُونَ
walking
مُطْمَئِنِّينَ
securely,
لَنَزَّلْنَا
surely We (would) have sent down
عَلَيْهِم
to them
مِّنَ
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the heaven
مَلَكًا
an Angel
رَّسُولًا
(as) a Messenger."
Ayah
96
قُلْ
Say,
كَفَىٰ
"Sufficient is
بِٱللَّهِ
Allah
شَهِيدًۢا
(as) a witness
بَيْنِى
between me
وَبَيْنَكُمْ
and between you.
إِنَّهُۥ
Indeed, He
كَانَ
is
بِعِبَادِهِۦ
of His slaves
خَبِيرًۢا
All-Aware,
بَصِيرًا
All-Seer."
Ayah
97
وَمَن
And whoever
يَهْدِ
Allah guides
ٱللَّهُ
Allah guides
فَهُوَ
then he (is)
ٱلْمُهْتَدِ
the guided one;
وَمَن
and whoever
يُضْلِلْ
He lets go astray -
فَلَن
then never
تَجِدَ
you will find
لَهُمْ
for them
أَوْلِيَآءَ
protectors
مِن
besides Him.
دُونِهِۦ
besides Him.
وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ
And We will gather them
يَوْمَ
(on) the Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection
عَلَىٰ
on
وُجُوهِهِمْ
their faces -
عُمْيًا
blind
وَبُكْمًا
and dumb
وَصُمًّا
and deaf.
مَّأْوَىٰهُمْ
Their abode
جَهَنَّمُ
(is) Hell;
كُلَّمَا
every time
خَبَتْ
it subsides,
زِدْنَٰهُمْ
We (will) increase (for) them
سَعِيرًا
the blazing fire.
Ayah
98
ذَٰلِكَ
That
جَزَآؤُهُم
(is) their recompense
بِأَنَّهُمْ
because they
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieved
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
in Our Verses
وَقَالُوٓا۟
and said,
أَءِذَا
"When
كُنَّا
we are
عِظَٰمًا
bones
وَرُفَٰتًا
and crumbled particles,
أَءِنَّا
will we
لَمَبْعُوثُونَ
surely (be) resurrected
خَلْقًا
(as) a creation
جَدِيدًا
new."
Ayah
99
أَوَلَمْ
Do not
يَرَوْا۟
they see
أَنَّ
that
ٱللَّهَ
Allah,
ٱلَّذِى
the One Who,
خَلَقَ
created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ
and the earth
قَادِرٌ
(is) Able
عَلَىٰٓ
[on]
أَن
to
يَخْلُقَ
create
مِثْلَهُمْ
the like of them?
وَجَعَلَ
And He has made
لَهُمْ
for them
أَجَلًا
a term,
لَّا
no
رَيْبَ
doubt
فِيهِ
in it.
فَأَبَى
But refused
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
the wrongdoers
إِلَّا
except
كُفُورًا
disbelief.
Ayah
100
قُل
Say,
لَّوْ
"If
أَنتُمْ
you
تَمْلِكُونَ
possess
خَزَآئِنَ
the treasures
رَحْمَةِ
(of) the Mercy
رَبِّىٓ
(of) my Lord,
إِذًا
then
لَّأَمْسَكْتُمْ
surely you would withhold
خَشْيَةَ
(out of) fear
ٱلْإِنفَاقِ
(of) spending."
وَكَانَ
And is
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ
man
قَتُورًا
stingy.
Ayah
101
وَلَقَدْ
And certainly
ءَاتَيْنَا
We had given
مُوسَىٰ
Musa
تِسْعَ
nine
ءَايَٰتٍۭ
Signs
بَيِّنَٰتٍ
clear,
فَسْـَٔلْ
so ask
بَنِىٓ
(the) Children of Israel
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
(the) Children of Israel
إِذْ
when
جَآءَهُمْ
he came to them,
فَقَالَ
then said
لَهُۥ
to him
فِرْعَوْنُ
Firaun,
إِنِّى
"Indeed, I
لَأَظُنُّكَ
[I] think you -
يَٰمُوسَىٰ
O Musa!
مَسْحُورًا
(you are) bewitched."
Ayah
102
قَالَ
He said,
لَقَدْ
"Verily,
عَلِمْتَ
you have known
مَآ
none
أَنزَلَ
has sent down
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
these
إِلَّا
except
رَبُّ
(the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ
and the earth
بَصَآئِرَ
(as) evidence,
وَإِنِّى
and indeed, I
لَأَظُنُّكَ
[I] surely think you
يَٰفِرْعَوْنُ
O Firaun!
مَثْبُورًا
(you are) destroyed."
Ayah
103
فَأَرَادَ
So he intended
أَن
to
يَسْتَفِزَّهُم
drive them out
مِّنَ
from
ٱلْأَرْضِ
the land,
فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُ
but We drowned him
وَمَن
and who
مَّعَهُۥ
(were) with him
جَمِيعًا
all.
Ayah
104
وَقُلْنَا
And We said
مِنۢ
after him
بَعْدِهِۦ
after him
لِبَنِىٓ
to the Children of Israel,
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ
to the Children of Israel,
ٱسْكُنُوا۟
"Dwell
ٱلْأَرْضَ
(in) the land,
فَإِذَا
then when
جَآءَ
comes
وَعْدُ
(the) promise
ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
(of) the Hereafter,
جِئْنَا
We will bring
بِكُمْ
you
لَفِيفًا
(as) a mixed crowd."
Ayah
105
وَبِٱلْحَقِّ
And with the truth
أَنزَلْنَٰهُ
We sent it down,
وَبِٱلْحَقِّ
and with the truth
نَزَلَ
it descended.
وَمَآ
And not
أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ
We sent you
إِلَّا
except
مُبَشِّرًا
(as) a bearer of glad tidings
وَنَذِيرًا
and a warner.
Ayah
106
وَقُرْءَانًا
And the Quran
فَرَقْنَٰهُ
We have divided,
لِتَقْرَأَهُۥ
that you might recite it
عَلَى
to
ٱلنَّاسِ
the people
عَلَىٰ
at
مُكْثٍ
intervals.
وَنَزَّلْنَٰهُ
And We have revealed it
تَنزِيلًا
(in) stages.
Ayah
107
قُلْ
Say,
ءَامِنُوا۟
"Believe
بِهِۦٓ
in it
أَوْ
or
لَا
(do) not
تُؤْمِنُوٓا۟
believe.
إِنَّ
Indeed,
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
أُوتُوا۟
were given
ٱلْعِلْمَ
the knowledge
مِن
before it,
قَبْلِهِۦٓ
before it,
إِذَا
when
يُتْلَىٰ
it is recited
عَلَيْهِمْ
to them,
يَخِرُّونَ
they fall
لِلْأَذْقَانِ
on their faces
سُجَّدًا
(in) prostration."
Ayah
108
وَيَقُولُونَ
And they say,
سُبْحَٰنَ
"Glory be to
رَبِّنَآ
our Lord!
إِن
Indeed,
كَانَ
is
وَعْدُ
(the) promise
رَبِّنَا
(of) our Lord
لَمَفْعُولًا
surely fulfilled."
Ayah
109
وَيَخِرُّونَ
And they fall
لِلْأَذْقَانِ
on their faces
يَبْكُونَ
weeping,
وَيَزِيدُهُمْ
and it increases them
خُشُوعًا
(in) humility.
Ayah
110
قُلِ
Say,
ٱدْعُوا۟
"Invoke
ٱللَّهَ
Allah
أَوِ
or
ٱدْعُوا۟
invoke
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ
the Most Gracious.
أَيًّا
By whatever (name)
مَّا
By whatever (name)
تَدْعُوا۟
you invoke,
فَلَهُ
to Him (belongs)
ٱلْأَسْمَآءُ
the Most Beautiful Names.
ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
the Most Beautiful Names.
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَجْهَرْ
be loud
بِصَلَاتِكَ
in your prayers
وَلَا
and not
تُخَافِتْ
be silent
بِهَا
therein,
وَٱبْتَغِ
but seek
بَيْنَ
between
ذَٰلِكَ
that
سَبِيلًا
a way."
Ayah
111
وَقُلِ
And say,
ٱلْحَمْدُ
"All Praise
لِلَّهِ
(is) for Allah
ٱلَّذِى
the One Who
لَمْ
has not taken
يَتَّخِذْ
has not taken
وَلَدًا
a son
وَلَمْ
and not
يَكُن
is
لَّهُۥ
for Him
شَرِيكٌ
a partner
فِى
in
ٱلْمُلْكِ
the dominion,
وَلَمْ
and not
يَكُن
is
لَّهُۥ
for Him
وَلِىٌّ
any protector
مِّنَ
out of
ٱلذُّلِّ
weakness.
وَكَبِّرْهُ
And magnify Him
تَكْبِيرًۢا
(with all) magnificence."
