Ayah 1
الٓر Alif Laam Ra. تِلْكَ These ءَايَٰتُ (are) the Verses ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Book وَقُرْءَانٍ and Quran مُّبِينٍ clear.
English - Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the Book and a clear Qur’an. .
हिंदी - अलिफ़ लाम रा, यह किताब और रौशन क़ुरआन की आयते हैं।.
Ayah 2
رُّبَمَا Perhaps يَوَدُّ will wish ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved, لَوْ if كَانُوا۟ they had been مُسْلِمِينَ Muslims.
English - Perhaps those who disbelieve will wish that they had been Muslims. .
हिंदी - कभी जिन्होंने इंकार किया, वह चाहत करेंगे कि काश वह मुसलमान हो जाते।.
Ayah 3
ذَرْهُمْ Leave them يَأْكُلُوا۟ (to) eat وَيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ and enjoy وَيُلْهِهِمُ and diverted them ٱلْأَمَلُ the hope, فَسَوْفَ then soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will come to know.
English - Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know. .
हिंदी - उन्हें छोड़ दो कि वह खाएं पिएं और मज़्ो कर लें और उम्मीद उन्हें ग़ाफ़िल रखे तो वह जल्द जान लेंगे।.
Ayah 4
وَمَآ And not أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed مِن any قَرْيَةٍ town إِلَّا but وَلَهَا (there was) for it كِتَابٌ a decree مَّعْلُومٌ known.
English - And We did not destroy any city but that for it was a known decree. .
हिंदी - और हमने कोई बस्ती तबाह नहीं की मगर जबकि उसका एक जाना हुआ (वक़्त) लिखा हुआ था।.
Ayah 5
مَّا Not تَسْبِقُ (can) advance مِنْ any أُمَّةٍ nation أَجَلَهَا its term وَمَا and not يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ (can) delay it.
English - No nation will precede its term, nor will they remain thereafter. .
हिंदी - कोई भी उम्मत अपने वक़्त से न आगे बढ़ सकती है और न पीछे हट सकती है।.
Ayah 6
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, يَٰٓأَيُّهَا "O you ٱلَّذِى (to) whom نُزِّلَ has been sent down عَلَيْهِ [on him] ٱلذِّكْرُ the Reminder, إِنَّكَ indeed, you لَمَجْنُونٌ (are) surely mad.
English - And they say," O you upon whom the message has been sent down, indeed you are mad. .
हिंदी - और उन्होंने कहा कि ऐ वह, जिस पर ज़िक्र उतारा गया, बेशक तू पागल है।.
Ayah 7
لَّوْ Why مَا not تَأْتِينَا you bring to us بِٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ the Angels, إِن if كُنتَ you are مِنَ of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful?"
English - Why do you not bring us the angels, if you should be among the truthful?” .
हिंदी - अगर तू सच्चा है तो फ़रिश्तों को हमारे पास क्यों नहीं लाता।.
Ayah 8
مَا Not نُنَزِّلُ We send down ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ the Angels إِلَّا except بِٱلْحَقِّ with the truth; وَمَا and not كَانُوٓا۟ they would be إِذًا then مُّنظَرِينَ given respite.
English - We do not send down the angels except with truth; and the disbelievers would not then be reprieved. .
हिंदी - हम फ़रिश्तों को नहीं उतारते मगर हक़ के साथ और तब वह मोहलत दिए जाने वाले नहीं होंगे।.
Ayah 9
إِنَّا Indeed, We نَحْنُ We نَزَّلْنَا have sent down ٱلذِّكْرَ the Reminder, وَإِنَّا and indeed, We لَهُۥ of it لَحَٰفِظُونَ (are) surely Guardians.
English - Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an and indeed, We will be its guardian. .
हिंदी - बेशक हम ने ज़िक्र उतारा और हम ही उसकी हिफ़ाज़त करने वाले हैं।.
Ayah 10
وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We (had) sent مِن before you قَبْلِكَ before you فِى in شِيَعِ the sects ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people).
English - And We had certainly sent [messengers] before you, [O Muhammad], among the sects of the former peoples. .
हिंदी - और यक़ीनन हम ने तुम से पहले भी पहली जमातों में भेजने का काम किया।.
Ayah 11
وَمَا And not يَأْتِيهِم came to them مِّن any رَّسُولٍ Messenger إِلَّا but كَانُوا۟ they did بِهِۦ at him يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ mock.
English - And no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him. .
हिंदी - और उनके पास कोई रसूल नहीं आता मगर वह उसका मज़्ााक़ उड़ाते थे।.
Ayah 12
كَذَٰلِكَ Thus نَسْلُكُهُۥ We let it enter فِى in قُلُوبِ (the) hearts ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ (of) the criminals.
English - Thus do We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals. .
हिंदी - हम इसी तरह उसे मुजरिमों के दिलों में डाल देते हैं।.
Ayah 13
لَا Not يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe بِهِۦ in it, وَقَدْ and verily خَلَتْ have passed سُنَّةُ the way(s) ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people).
English - They will not believe in it, while there has already occurred the precedent of the former peoples. .
हिंदी - वह इस पर ईमान न लाएँगे और अगलों का तरीक़ा भी गुज़्ार चुका।.
Ayah 14
وَلَوْ And (even) if فَتَحْنَا We opened عَلَيْهِم to them بَابًا a gate مِّنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven, فَظَلُّوا۟ and they were to continue فِيهِ therein يَعْرُجُونَ (to) ascend,
English - And [even] if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued therein to ascend, .
हिंदी - और अगर हम उन पर आसमान का कोई दरवाज़ा खोल दें कि वह उस में चढ़ने लगें,.
Ayah 15
لَقَالُوٓا۟ They would surely say إِنَّمَا "Only سُكِّرَتْ have been dazzled أَبْصَٰرُنَا our eyes. بَلْ Nay, نَحْنُ we قَوْمٌ (are) a people مَّسْحُورُونَ bewitched."
English - They would say, "Our eyes have only been dazzled. Rather, we are a people affected by magic." .
हिंदी - वह ज़्ारूर कहेंगे कि हमारी आँखें मदहोश कर दी र्गइं बल्कि हम जादू किए गए लोग हैं।.
Ayah 16
وَلَقَدْ And verily جَعَلْنَا We have placed فِى in ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heavens بُرُوجًا constellations وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا and We have beautified it لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ for the observers.
English - And We have placed within the heaven great stars and have beautified it for the observers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 17
وَحَفِظْنَٰهَا And We have protected it مِن from كُلِّ every شَيْطَٰنٍ devil رَّجِيمٍ accursed.
English - And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah] .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 18
إِلَّا Except مَنِ (one) who ٱسْتَرَقَ steals ٱلسَّمْعَ the hearing, فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ then follows him شِهَابٌ a burning flame مُّبِينٌ clear.
English - Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 19
وَٱلْأَرْضَ And the earth, مَدَدْنَٰهَا We have spread it وَأَلْقَيْنَا and [We] cast فِيهَا therein رَوَٰسِىَ firm mountains وَأَنۢبَتْنَا and [We] caused to grow فِيهَا therein مِن of كُلِّ every شَىْءٍ thing مَّوْزُونٍ well-balanced.
English - And the earth – We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 20
وَجَعَلْنَا And We have made لَكُمْ for you فِيهَا therein مَعَٰيِشَ means of living وَمَن and whom لَّسْتُمْ you are not لَهُۥ for him بِرَٰزِقِينَ providers.
English - And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 21
وَإِن And not مِّن (is) any شَىْءٍ thing إِلَّا but عِندَنَا with Us خَزَآئِنُهُۥ (are) its treasures, وَمَا and not نُنَزِّلُهُۥٓ We send it down إِلَّا except بِقَدَرٍ in a measure مَّعْلُومٍ known.
English - And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 22
وَأَرْسَلْنَا And We have sent ٱلرِّيَٰحَ the winds لَوَٰقِحَ fertilizing, فَأَنزَلْنَا and We sent down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water, فَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُمُوهُ and We gave it to you to drink. وَمَآ And not أَنتُمْ you لَهُۥ of it بِخَٰزِنِينَ (are) retainers.
English - And We have sent the fertilizing winds and sent down water from the sky and given you drink from it. And you are not its retainers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 23
وَإِنَّا And indeed, We, لَنَحْنُ surely [We] نُحْىِۦ We give life وَنُمِيتُ and We cause death, وَنَحْنُ and We ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ (are) the Inheritors.
English - And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 24
وَلَقَدْ And verily عَلِمْنَا We know ٱلْمُسْتَقْدِمِينَ the preceding ones مِنكُمْ among you وَلَقَدْ and verily, عَلِمْنَا We know ٱلْمُسْتَـْٔخِرِينَ the later ones.
English - And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 25
وَإِنَّ And indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, هُوَ He يَحْشُرُهُمْ will gather them. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He حَكِيمٌ (is) All-Wise, عَلِيمٌ All-Knowing.
English - And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 26
وَلَقَدْ And verily, خَلَقْنَا We created ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ humankind مِن (out) of صَلْصَٰلٍ sounding clay مِّنْ from حَمَإٍ black mud مَّسْنُونٍ altered.
English - And We did certainly create man out of clay from an altered black mud. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 27
وَٱلْجَآنَّ And the jinn خَلَقْنَٰهُ We created it مِن before قَبْلُ before مِن from نَّارِ fire ٱلسَّمُومِ scorching.
English - And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 28
وَإِذْ And when قَالَ your Lord said رَبُّكَ your Lord said لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ to the Angels, إِنِّى "Indeed, I خَٰلِقٌۢ (will) create بَشَرًا a human being مِّن (out) of صَلْصَٰلٍ clay مِّنْ from حَمَإٍ black mud مَّسْنُونٍ altered.
English - And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 29
فَإِذَا So, when سَوَّيْتُهُۥ I have fashioned him وَنَفَخْتُ and [I] breathed فِيهِ into him مِن of رُّوحِى My spirit, فَقَعُوا۟ then fall down لَهُۥ to him سَٰجِدِينَ prostrating."
English - And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 30
فَسَجَدَ So prostrated ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels كُلُّهُمْ all of them أَجْمَعُونَ together,
English - So the angels prostrated – all of them entirely, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 31
إِلَّآ Except إِبْلِيسَ Iblis. أَبَىٰٓ He refused أَن to يَكُونَ be مَعَ with ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ those who prostrated.
English - Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 32
قَالَ He said, يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ "O Iblis! مَا What لَكَ (is) for you أَلَّا that not تَكُونَ you are مَعَ with ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ those who prostrated?"
English - [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 33
قَالَ He said, لَمْ "I am not أَكُن "I am not لِّأَسْجُدَ (one) to prostrate لِبَشَرٍ to a human خَلَقْتَهُۥ whom You created, مِن (out) of صَلْصَٰلٍ clay مِّنْ from حَمَإٍ black mud مَّسْنُونٍ altered."
English - He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 34
قَالَ He said, فَٱخْرُجْ "Then get out مِنْهَا of it, فَإِنَّكَ for indeed, you رَجِيمٌ (are) expelled.
English - [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 35
وَإِنَّ And indeed, عَلَيْكَ upon you ٱللَّعْنَةَ (will be) the curse إِلَىٰ till يَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلدِّينِ (of) [the] Judgment."
English - And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 36
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "O my Lord! فَأَنظِرْنِىٓ Then give me respite إِلَىٰ till يَوْمِ (the) Day يُبْعَثُونَ they are raised."
English - He said," My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 37
قَالَ He said, فَإِنَّكَ "Then indeed you, مِنَ (are) of ٱلْمُنظَرِينَ the ones given respite.
English - [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 38
إِلَىٰ Till يَوْمِ the Day ٱلْوَقْتِ (of) the time ٱلْمَعْلُومِ well-known."
English - Until the Day of the time well-known." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 39
قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord! بِمَآ Because أَغْوَيْتَنِى You misled me, لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ surely, I will make (evil) fair-seeming لَهُمْ to them فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ and I will mislead them أَجْمَعِينَ all
English - [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 40
إِلَّا Except, عِبَادَكَ Your slaves مِنْهُمُ among them ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ the ones who are sincere."
English - Except, among them, Your chosen servants." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 41
قَالَ He said, هَٰذَا "This صِرَٰطٌ (is) the way عَلَىَّ to Me مُسْتَقِيمٌ straight.
English - [Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 42
إِنَّ Indeed, عِبَادِى My slaves, لَيْسَ not لَكَ you have عَلَيْهِمْ over them سُلْطَٰنٌ any authority, إِلَّا except مَنِ those who ٱتَّبَعَكَ follow you, مِنَ of ٱلْغَاوِينَ the ones who go astray."
English - Indeed, My servants – no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 43
وَإِنَّ And indeed, جَهَنَّمَ Hell لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ (is) surely the promised place for them أَجْمَعِينَ all.
English - And indeed, Hell is the promised place for them all. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 44
لَهَا For it سَبْعَةُ (are) seven أَبْوَٰبٍ gates, لِّكُلِّ for each بَابٍ gate مِّنْهُمْ among them جُزْءٌ (is) a portion مَّقْسُومٌ assigned.
English - It has seven gates; for every gate is of them a portion designated." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 45
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous فِى (will be) in جَنَّٰتٍ Gardens وَعُيُونٍ and water springs.
English - Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 46
ٱدْخُلُوهَا "Enter it بِسَلَٰمٍ in peace, ءَامِنِينَ secure."
English - [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 47
وَنَزَعْنَا And We (will) remove مَا what فِى (is) in صُدُورِهِم their breasts مِّنْ of غِلٍّ rancor إِخْوَٰنًا (they will be) brothers عَلَىٰ on سُرُرٍ thrones مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ facing each other.
English - And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 48
لَا Not يَمَسُّهُمْ will touch them فِيهَا therein نَصَبٌ fatigue, وَمَا and not هُم they مِّنْهَا from it بِمُخْرَجِينَ will be removed.
English - No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 49
نَبِّئْ Inform عِبَادِىٓ My slaves أَنِّىٓ that I, أَنَا I am ٱلْغَفُورُ the Oft-Forgiving, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.
English - [O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 50
وَأَنَّ And that عَذَابِى My punishment, هُوَ it ٱلْعَذَابُ (is) the punishment ٱلْأَلِيمُ the most painful.
English - And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 51
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ And inform them عَن about ضَيْفِ (the) guests إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim,
English - And inform them about the guests of Abraham, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 52
إِذْ When دَخَلُوا۟ they entered عَلَيْهِ upon him فَقَالُوا۟ and said, سَلَٰمًا "Peace." قَالَ He said, إِنَّا "Indeed, we مِنكُمْ (are) of you وَجِلُونَ afraid."
English - When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 53
قَالُوا۟ They said, لَا "(Do) not تَوْجَلْ be afraid, إِنَّا indeed, we نُبَشِّرُكَ [we] bring glad tidings to you بِغُلَٰمٍ of a boy عَلِيمٍ learned."
English - [The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 54
قَالَ He said, أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِى "Do you give me glad tidings عَلَىٰٓ "Do you give me glad tidings أَن although مَّسَّنِىَ has overtaken me ٱلْكِبَرُ old age? فَبِمَ Then about what تُبَشِّرُونَ you give glad tidings?"
English - He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 55
قَالُوا۟ They said, بَشَّرْنَٰكَ "We give you glad tidings بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth, فَلَا so (do) not تَكُن be مِّنَ of ٱلْقَٰنِطِينَ the despairing."
English - They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 56
قَالَ He said, وَمَن "And who يَقْنَطُ despairs مِن of رَّحْمَةِ (the) Mercy رَبِّهِۦٓ (of) his Lord إِلَّا except ٱلضَّآلُّونَ those who are astray."
English - He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 57
قَالَ He said, فَمَا "Then what خَطْبُكُمْ (is) your business, أَيُّهَا O messengers?" ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ O messengers?"
English - [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 58
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, إِنَّآ "Indeed, we أُرْسِلْنَآ [we] have been sent إِلَىٰ to قَوْمٍ a people - مُّجْرِمِينَ criminals,
English - They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 59
إِلَّآ Except ءَالَ the family لُوطٍ of Lut; إِنَّا indeed, we لَمُنَجُّوهُمْ surely will save them أَجْمَعِينَ all
English - Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 60
إِلَّا Except ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ his wife." قَدَّرْنَآ We have decreed إِنَّهَا that she لَمِنَ (is) surely of ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ those who remain behind.
English - Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 61
فَلَمَّا And when جَآءَ came ءَالَ (to the) family لُوطٍ (of) Lut ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ the messengers,
English - And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 62
قَالَ He said, إِنَّكُمْ "Indeed, you قَوْمٌ (are) a people مُّنكَرُونَ unknown."
English - He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 63
قَالُوا۟ They said, بَلْ "Nay, جِئْنَٰكَ we have come to you بِمَا with what كَانُوا۟ they were فِيهِ in it يَمْتَرُونَ disputing,
English - They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 64
وَأَتَيْنَٰكَ And we have come to you بِٱلْحَقِّ with the truth, وَإِنَّا and indeed, we لَصَٰدِقُونَ surely (are) truthful.
English - And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 65
فَأَسْرِ So travel بِأَهْلِكَ with your family بِقِطْعٍ in a portion مِّنَ of ٱلَّيْلِ the night وَٱتَّبِعْ and follow أَدْبَٰرَهُمْ their backs, وَلَا and not يَلْتَفِتْ let look back مِنكُمْ among you أَحَدٌ anyone, وَٱمْضُوا۟ and go on حَيْثُ where تُؤْمَرُونَ you are ordered."
English - So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 66
وَقَضَيْنَآ And We conveyed إِلَيْهِ to him ذَٰلِكَ [that] ٱلْأَمْرَ the matter أَنَّ that دَابِرَ (the) root هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ (of) these مَقْطُوعٌ would be cut off مُّصْبِحِينَ (by) early morning.
English - And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 67
وَجَآءَ And came أَهْلُ (the) people ٱلْمَدِينَةِ (of) the city, يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ rejoicing.
English - And the people of the city came rejoicing. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 68
قَالَ He said, إِنَّ "Indeed, هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these ضَيْفِى (are) my guests, فَلَا so (do) not تَفْضَحُونِ shame me.
English - [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 69
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah, وَلَا and (do) not تُخْزُونِ disgrace me."
English - And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 70
قَالُوٓا۟ They said, أَوَلَمْ "Did not نَنْهَكَ we forbid you عَنِ from ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ the world?"
English - They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 71
قَالَ He said, هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ "These بَنَاتِىٓ (are) my daughters إِن if كُنتُمْ you would be فَٰعِلِينَ doers."
English - [Lot] said, "These are my daughters – if you would be doers [of lawful marriage]." .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 72
لَعَمْرُكَ By your life إِنَّهُمْ indeed, they لَفِى were in سَكْرَتِهِمْ their intoxication, يَعْمَهُونَ wandering blindly.
English - By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 73
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ So, seized them ٱلصَّيْحَةُ the awful cry مُشْرِقِينَ at sunrise.
English - So the shriek seized them at sunrise. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 74
فَجَعَلْنَا And We made عَٰلِيَهَا its highest (part) سَافِلَهَا its lowest, وَأَمْطَرْنَا and We rained عَلَيْهِمْ upon them حِجَارَةً stones مِّن of سِجِّيلٍ baked clay.
English - And We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained upon them stones of hard clay. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 75
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَٰتٍ (are) the Signs لِّلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ for those who discern.
English - Indeed in that are signs for those who discern. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 76
وَإِنَّهَا And indeed, it لَبِسَبِيلٍ (is) on a road مُّقِيمٍ established.
English - And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 77
إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَةً surely (is) a Sign لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ for the believers.
English - Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 78
وَإِن And were كَانَ And were أَصْحَٰبُ (the) companions ٱلْأَيْكَةِ (of) the wood لَظَٰلِمِينَ surely wrongdoers.
English - And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 79
فَٱنتَقَمْنَا So We took retribution مِنْهُمْ from them, وَإِنَّهُمَا and indeed, they both لَبِإِمَامٍ (were) on a highway مُّبِينٍ clear.
English - So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 80
وَلَقَدْ And certainly كَذَّبَ denied أَصْحَٰبُ (the) companions ٱلْحِجْرِ (of) the Rocky Tract, ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers.
English - And certainly did the companions of Thamūd deny the messengers. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 81
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ And We gave them ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Signs, فَكَانُوا۟ but they were عَنْهَا from them مُعْرِضِينَ turning away.
English - And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 82
وَكَانُوا۟ And they used (to) يَنْحِتُونَ carve مِنَ from ٱلْجِبَالِ the mountains, بُيُوتًا houses, ءَامِنِينَ secure.
English - And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 83
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ But seized them ٱلصَّيْحَةُ the awful cry مُصْبِحِينَ (at) early morning,
English - But the shriek seized them at early morning. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 84
فَمَآ And not أَغْنَىٰ availed عَنْهُم them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) يَكْسِبُونَ earn.
English - So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 85
وَمَا And not خَلَقْنَا We created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَآ (is) between them إِلَّا except بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth. وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱلسَّاعَةَ the Hour لَءَاتِيَةٌ (is) surely coming. فَٱصْفَحِ So overlook ٱلصَّفْحَ (with) forgiveness ٱلْجَمِيلَ gracious.
English - And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 86
إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord, هُوَ He ٱلْخَلَّٰقُ (is) the Creator ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower.
English - Indeed, your Lord – He is the Knowing Creator. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 87
وَلَقَدْ And certainly, ءَاتَيْنَٰكَ We have given you سَبْعًا seven مِّنَ of ٱلْمَثَانِى the oft-repeated وَٱلْقُرْءَانَ and the Quran ٱلْعَظِيمَ Great.
English - And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur’an. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 88
لَا (Do) not تَمُدَّنَّ extend عَيْنَيْكَ your eyes إِلَىٰ towards مَا what مَتَّعْنَا We have bestowed بِهِۦٓ with it أَزْوَٰجًا (to) categories مِّنْهُمْ of them وَلَا and (do) not تَحْزَنْ grieve عَلَيْهِمْ over them. وَٱخْفِضْ And lower جَنَاحَكَ your wing لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ to the believers.
English - Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 89
وَقُلْ And say, إِنِّىٓ "Indeed, I أَنَا [I] am ٱلنَّذِيرُ a warner ٱلْمُبِينُ clear."
English - And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" – .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 90
كَمَآ As أَنزَلْنَا We sent down عَلَى on ٱلْمُقْتَسِمِينَ those who divided.
English - Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 91
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who جَعَلُوا۟ have made ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran عِضِينَ (in) parts.
English - Who have made the Qur’an into portions. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 92
فَوَرَبِّكَ So by your Lord, لَنَسْـَٔلَنَّهُمْ surely We will question them أَجْمَعِينَ all
English - So by your Lord, We will surely question them all .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 93
عَمَّا About what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) يَعْمَلُونَ do.
English - About what they used to do. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 94
فَٱصْدَعْ So proclaim بِمَا of what تُؤْمَرُ you are ordered وَأَعْرِضْ and turn away عَنِ from ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists.
English - Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 95
إِنَّا Indeed, We كَفَيْنَٰكَ [We] are sufficient for you ٱلْمُسْتَهْزِءِينَ (against) the mockers
English - Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 96
ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يَجْعَلُونَ set up مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah إِلَٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ another. فَسَوْفَ But soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will come to know.
English - Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 97
وَلَقَدْ And verily, نَعْلَمُ We know أَنَّكَ that [you] يَضِيقُ (is) straitened صَدْرُكَ your breast بِمَا by what يَقُولُونَ they say.
English - And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 98
فَسَبِّحْ So glorify بِحَمْدِ with the praise رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord وَكُن and be مِّنَ of ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ those who prostrate.
English - So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. .
हिंदी - .
Ayah 99
وَٱعْبُدْ And worship رَبَّكَ your Lord حَتَّىٰ until يَأْتِيَكَ comes to you ٱلْيَقِينُ the certainty.
English - And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). .
